Ms. Dash is a very strong teacher in Biology. She is enthusiastic when she teaches and brings a fun spirit to the classroom. She does have a heavy accent, but if you listen you can understand what she is saying. There isn't a moment that she isn't willing to help. She'll give you her time if you are willing to give her yours.

Dr. Dash is extremely helpful and very compassionate. If you are unable to attend class for some reason, she is very understanding and will let you make your test/assignment up. She's great, and I would take her again in a second. However, she will assign something in almost every lab, even if she doesn’t collect it, just so that you will show up.

Very interesting class Dr. Dash has taken a difficut class and mad it fun and interesting to learn. She uses current examples/stories to help us to understand the material. Her accent is not difficult to understand, she is very clear,she goes over and over the material so that all understand,and she is very helpful. She loves what she does.

Dr. Dash's night classes are all over the place. She goes over concepts hundreds of times if 1 person doesn't get it. So a lot of lecture time is wasted repeating things from previous classes. Its left up to you to read and figure things out. Its hard to figure out what's testable and what's not.

This was my first class in 13 yrs. Dr.Dash was so helpful and she used many tools to help her students learn. She generally cares for her students and does anything she can to help. I know if she wouldnt have been my professor I would not have done as well in my class without all her tools and understanding.

The 181 class is a Hybrid (on line) Dr. Dash uses discussion board everyday. She posts study guide questions and answers for all exams. She uses virtaul class room. She adds great animations and academic games to help you study. She responds quickly to all questions. Great Class!!

This combination on-line/classroom presentation was perfect for my schedule. Study at home, appear in lab once a week for hands-on lab work and testing. Some comments say you don't have to study for her class, but you do. She is making her class harder because she says shes too easy. She will help you anyway possible. Taking micro with Dash was the BEST choice I have ever made. She is the sweetest person and she teaches with so much passion that it makes this class that much more enjoyable. This class is not an easy class. The course requires much work input from the student. Professor Dash actually provides all avenues and resources to help students and reviews everything she delivers on each subject matter. It is a class not suited for non majors. She simplifies the contents of each chapter. It is up to the student to put the effort

The class was alright, lab quizzes were a little difficult but if you study (which I didn't do too much of) you'll pass with no issues. It only seems thick at first but you get used to it. She really cares about you. Because of her, I am now at ASU in upper division biology classes and succeeding.

Show up to lab and lectures because the instructor will let you know the specific material you will need to study prior to test. Its not an easy course you need to study! The instructor makes lectures fun and interesting. She is very approachable, don't hesitate to ask any questions. I recommend you take this class with this instructor.

Dr. Dash is extremely sincere, willing and enthusiastic about helping her students. Still, this class is a lot of reading and studying, so the grade will reflect exactly what you put in. Attending class is extremely necessary because Dr. Dash points out where to study, what may appear on the exams, and will never try to trick you.

Professor Dash is truly outstanding. It is apparent that she cares about all of her students. The material may be tough, but she goes over key points multiple times before testing to ensure that we understand it. Attendance is mandatory as there is a sign in sheet. She does give extra credit. She gives about 3 lab reports! Overall, would recommend.

Dr. Dash is truly a gem! She cares about ALL of her students and wants to see EVERYONE succeed. You have to work for your grade, she doesn't just hand out A's. She stays in constant communication with the class and shares many links, videos, and pictures to help you get a deeper understanding of the material. I wish she taught Bio-182!!

Lecture exams are tough (write down everything she says, study notes, & powerpoints) lab quizzes are very specific. This class isn't easy & needs attention but a A is attainable. She is very helpful & understanding. Dash gave extra credit near the semester which helped boost me & other students up a letter grade. I thank her for that.

Dr. Dash is one of the best professors I have had. Microbiology is a tough class but she makes it fun and interesting! It is very easy to fall behind if you miss lab or lecture. I would recommend her to anyone who needs to take this class.

This woman is a nice lady very inspiring to me, as her current student she is pushing me to the best I can be, or someone struggling in this class, she will offer help, she will work you, to prove who you are in this class, labs are fun but be careful with who you work with, because this teacher excepts 100 percent of your work.

She was really enthusiastic about the subject and I had fun learning from her. I decided I wanted to take the next biology class because I enjoyed her class so much. She always lets you know how the tests are going to be and as long as you take notes in class and study them she never surprises you on exams.

Dr. Dash genuinely cares about each of her students and wants everyone to succeed. She keeps lectures interesting and the class is easy as long as you pay attention in class and study. Your grade is mostly quizzes and exams and she offers some opportunities for extra credit. Textbook not needed but it will really help you clarify concepts and study

Dr. Dash is a phenomenal person. She cares about ALL her students. Her accent is thick but she knows her stuff! Great instructor.

Prof. Dash is one amazing instructor. she does all she can to help you pass. she is a little technical on her grading but is still fair. you will get some homework but the test's should be your main focus. there is some extra credit, but over all you will have all you need to pass. you wont find a better instructor!!!

Dr. Dash shows genuine care for her students and will memorize everyone's first and last name. She is a cute character and makes very corny jokes during lecture. There is no cumulative final exam which is great. You do have to write out 2 easy lab reports but the unit tests are difficult, so study! Don't ever miss out because you will be lost.

Doctor Dash was an amazing teacher. She cares so much about her students and is very passionate about microbiology (even describing its history as being 'juicy'). The labs are easy and fun, and the lectures are interesting and memorable. It is not very difficult to ace her course. I would recommend her to all of you!

Dr. Dash is a great professor! Dr. Dash's lectures are long and material-heavy, but her slides are on Canvas so it would be wise to read ahead before class. Pr Dash is a very respected professor. she cares about her students and has good slide notes, but she is really hard to follow in lectures. she jumps around subjects a lot. she has very essay exams, if you follow up in her lectures and concentrate in class you will get an "A" in all her exams. She is so caring, she tries her best to help her students and Ive never had a bio professor who makes these courses so easy to understand. Take her course! She provides the most helpful games and PowerPoints to score high in her course. Wish I had her for every class!

Dr. Dash is a rare professor. Very caring, has a sense of humor and excellent at making difficult material easy to understand. Has an accent, but, sit at the front and you'll be okay. Everything she writes on the board is on exams. Fair Grader and does not try to trick you either on exams. The absolute best decision I made was to take her class.

There was one assignment which really sticks out to me: an exam had a homework segment that took the class well over a week to finish. This forced me to learn!

This class requires effort from the student to study the material! If you study hard you will do well. Rent 10th ed Campbell Bio from Amazon for $20 for the semester. There's only a few assignments so that you have time to study so take advantage. Study for the post-lab quizzes and do the academic games. Use all the resources she gives you.

Can get C w/ no effort. Just like any bio class actively engage w/ material. Didn't use book; studied lecture & lab notes & ppts. If book wanted, cheaply rent from Amazon. Very available thru email & at office. 5 tests, 2 HWs, 4 lab quizzes, 1 big lab quiz. Tests multiple choice, T/F, matching, fill-in-the-blank. Lab hands-on but easy. no final.

Dr. Dash is an outstanding professor and really enjoys teaching. Great at keeping everyone interested, and accessible outside of class. Her classes are not easy but the environment is made for learning. Everything in lecture is helpful on exams. Dr. Dash has become one of my favorite professors.

Sagarika is a great professor! she was encouraging and really did care about me and my goal of passing this class with an A. Her labs were a little difficult but still doable. You definitely have to study and take good notes in class and in lab. use the book!! if you actually want to learn the material you'll pass.

i am so disappointed that rate my professor has gotten rid of the chili pepper rating feature. this Woman is the most beautiful professor ive ever had the pleasure of learning from. i know the max was 3 chili peppers however i think this WOMAN deserves 5 chili peppers, minimum. also we have that same Virgo energy, shes good at biology too so yeah

I am so glad a friend of mine referred Dr. Dash to me. I have taken BIO205 before with a different professor and did not succeed. But with him, I ended with an A! Dr. Dash will help in any way for a student to succeed without a doubt. His quizzes and exams are all based on his lectures and mandatory book. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone else.

Dr. Dash is very caring. She truly wants all her students to succeed. Took her during the pandemic online. She extended due dates, longer test times, and answered emails quickly. She is tough to understand but her PowerPoints are directly from book. A bit disorganized & adds random assignments late but will extend due date if needed. Recommend her!

Dr. Dash is an amazing teacher. The online class was harder than I thought, but if you read the material she lays out for you, and keep up with annoucements YOU will do great in this class. Definetly a Professor that aids you in the college experience. As well as answering any and all questions you might have, very quick to respond.

Dr. Dash is hands down the best professor at GCC. She takes you under her wing and guides you through her course. She cares about you passing and understanding the material. Make sure you pay attention before you take lab quizzes! Her accent is amazing in my opinion and after taking her for 181 and 205, its hard to understand science without it!

Although I prefer recorded lectures at least for online classes, this professor still did a good job at organizing the class and providing PowerPoints that needed to be reviewed before tests. She also provided some feedback and would send emails with extra and useful information to look over in regards to the unit material.

She is very strong about helping her students pass her class and even give you very helpful life advice. Unless you don't pay attention or participate you should be able to pass. Dr. Dash was an outstanding professor, she is passionate about biology. Dash makes each student feel cared about. She takes time learning about you and remembering each student's name. She might have been hard to understand during lecture at times but she never had an issue coming over to you if you had any questions.

Professor Dash was an amazing teacher. I was in a hybrid class so lecture was on your own time and the labs were in person. Tests were relatively easy, you just have to put the time in to study. But she really does care for her students and wants to see them succeed. I would definitely take her again.

Other than being a bit too rambling at times, she puts her heart on her sleeve and deeply cares about each one of her students exceeding not only in her class but in the world too. Easy to pass if you pay very close attention to her in-person labs and ask questions when confused.

They ONLY reason I would not take again is because I struggle with English as is, and had difficulties deciphering her accent at times. Absolutely a me thing, and not on her. I WAS tempted to take Microbiology with her though, and had to really consider the pros and cons!

She really knows biology and is more than willing to answer any questions that arise during lab/lecture. If there is any problem with tests, labs, or other students, she is always going to make it her top priority. Would take her class again.
