Professor Bahi can barely speak English. He shows up 5 minuts late and holds us over 5 minutes almost everyday. Not only does he hold us over but he assigns homework, so if you get up and leave when we are suppose to we get a 0 on the homework. He is very ahrd to understand and isn't easy to work with
He is a very helpful professor. Works hard to make sure students understand.
Hard to understand what he is saying half of the time. The rest of the time he wanders across the board...it's interesting.

I come in to get help at his office. Very helpful. In class I can understand about half of what is said and sometimes 75 percent. Sometimes I dont pay attention and drift off. And he teaches very well for being in America. I think hes a great guy and will go far in teaching.
He is a great professor. People don't give him enough of a chance and don't pay attention to him - that is why they don't understand him. Bahi is a great instructor and I would highly recommend him.
Difficult to understand, loads of homework with assignments. I would take this one during maymester or summer to reduce the work load possible workload.
If at all possible do not take a class from this teacher. You will not learn anything from him. You will basically teach yourself through the textbook. The only way he is helpful is one on one, but even then it is hard to understand him.
Professor Bahi is very smart. He is willing to help if you go to him. If you participate in class, ask questions and read you should have no problems
he will make your life a real living hell!!I don t recommend him since he doesn t know anything about the subject he is teaching , he even doesn t speak English properly so how you expect him teach you. To sum up, he doesn't really fit to our school
Great guy. He is easy to understand if people take the time to listen and actually try. Homework was the right amount, tests and grading were fair, what isn't to like? He is very forgiving on grading unlike other teachers that will nail you for all the little things like C. Whitelaw.
I have never had him but in talking to other students about taking stats they all recommended bahi! take him he is the best
Professor Bahi is a nice teacher, he is somewhat disorganized with his teachings, can be confusing, contradicting, and has a heavy accent. He grades his test easily, gives homework, quizzes, tests, and a 200 point Final Exam. The text book he used for the class was awful with hardly any good examples.
This professor had a heavy accent so it was hard to understand him at times. He will answer any question you have but his explanations do not always make sense. He is in his office for his office hours and you can go in any time. He likes when you show up for class and assigns homework every class. You also take tests on each chapter.
Bahi is a great guy. He tries so hard and certainly doesn't get enough credit for it. Calculus is a rough subject and at times I felt like he didn't explain things enough, but he really is a great guy and more than belongs at SUU.
The evaluation that I can give him is a REAL big fat 0 . Unfortunately, he doesn t know the subject he is teaching !!!!! he doesn t belong to this universe!!! I don t recommend to take any of his classes ...he is a weird person , confusing the whole world !!!
I know Said more on a personal level and have helped TA some of his classes and have taken numerous classes from him. At first it may seem that there are borders up between him and the class. The trick to taking these down and having him open up is to ask question during class, even silly questions when he arrives. However, he will recognize that y
All what i can give to bahi is a 0 as a grading like my other fellow. Thruthfully, he is a confusing professor . he doesn t teach well and very hard to understand .
I loved him as a professor. Probably my favorite math professor. Put forth effort and you'll do fine in his class.
The worse teacher I ve ever had in my life . A guy who doesn t know what is teaching and it hard to understand his language . I would not recommend him to anybody . Take courses with other teachers
Very hard to understand what he says. Don't recommend. You will be at the tutor lab a lot. Taught concepts in a way that was very hard to get and would get you really lost. Didn't show up to class one day because he "forgot" we had class and he was in his office. Hard to work with on a one-on-one basis.
I end up just reading the book. He is not clear in class and if you have any disputes on a test he will basically just tell you your an idiot and you did it wrong even if you got the right answer.
Professor Bahi is a very enjoyable man. He has an awesome accent, which sometimes makes it difficult to understand him, but he tries really hard to help his students. He also places lots of emphasis on being able to do as much math as possible without the calculator. I LOVED his class
He's a super nice guy, but the class is already pretty dang hard as it is, and his accent doesn't make things easier. Lots of notes and studying and homework every week. Probably wouldn't take him if possible. Not horrible, but not good at all.
I think he is a new teacher, he basically used our class as a test subjects. If you take from him be sure to SHOW ALL YOUR WORK!!!!!! i went in for his help and all he told me to do is "check your note." which doesnt help at all. On the plus side is that he will work with you, and he is a really nice guy.
Bahi is a nice teacher, but he can be difficult to understand. He would show the work, but not always explain why we would do what we did. He uses the calculator a lot, and his tests are moderately difficult. He grades them by 1/2 scantron and 1/2 the work show on the test, which is different but I liked it. I wouldn't take him again though.
Decent teacher and easy class. The book taught me most of what I learned
First class taken from him. He's friendly, and more than willing to help. He has an accent, but you get used to it. He's a bit unorganized. There were errors in his syllabus, etc. Just make sure you clarify with him if you have any confusion. His tests are not difficult - he lets you use cheat sheets. Great teacher once you get used to him.
Excellent teacher - but if Math is not your strong suit or you are lazy, you're going to struggle. He teaches well but sometimes it's hard to follow his train of thought. He expects you to actually read the book in addition to attending classes. A great class if you are interested in Mathematics - otherwise look for an easier professor.
I was nervous going into the class because of all the bad reviews on here. He relies a lot on the assignments to teach you, and you should be able to give AT LEAST an hour each night for homework. His tests are simple, though, so understanding the homework was really the most complicated part of the class. But thats what the tutoring center is for!
Bahi does expect that you do the assignments and read the book.
He is really a great teacher and his tests are SUPER easy. My MATH 1010 tests were harder. If you drift off or play on your phone and don't follow what he is doing you are going to get lost. His only weakness is that he'll make small mistakes when lecturing. Such as forgetting to make a positive number negative. Other than that, awesome teacher.
I took this class over summer and he was probably the best math teacher I have had. He really helped us all understand the material and would work through any problems that we had. I 100% recommend him.
While he will answer student's questions, he tends to take the entire hour to answer the question and then neglects to explain the material for that day. Regardless of this he expects the homework done anyway.
Professor Bahi class is as hard as you make it. If you do all the homework and pay attention to all of is lectures then you will have no problem succeding in his class. I would expect no less from any other professor. On a bright note his tests are easy to understand if you do the assignments.
Worst professor I have ever had. He is not clear on what he teaches. He doesn't really teach. He just does examples on the board and hopes you understand the concept. If you do the reviews before the test you will be fine though. I didn't go to class half the time because I could just as easily teach myself from the textbook than listen to him.
Plan to read the textbook and do homework - if you're lazy, I would suggest another professor. The homework (for me) was the key to doing well on the exams. He's also very willing to answer questions and try to help you understand the material.
Great experience
Worst professor ive ever had, even regarding online courses. Completely unhelpful and almost impossible to communicate with. Possibly not his decision, but the course program/software used for the class was HORRIBLE. I had to teach myself through completely through YouTube and alternative online tutors. Also 1-3 assignments due/day.
I took an online class from Bahi. He was willing to work around my schedule for the tests, which was a big help. The entire class was through Hawkes Learning System, it taught, gave the homework and had the tests. There were 8 tests which made of 80 percent of the class. All in all the class was pretty easy.
Bahi has a little bit of an accent which might make him hard to understand so you'll have to pay attention in class. You do a TON of homework online and in person, which helped me on the exam. If you ask for help, you will get it. You have to actively try to listen in his class otherwise it won't make sense. Pay attention or you'll get lost!
Easiest test.
Statistics itself isn't a bad subject. Bahi teaches straight from the book which can be helpful if you rely on learning from your textbook. The only problem for me was the amount of homework. We had both online and written homework. The online homework is extremely time consuming and can be frustrating.
His lack of interest in his students is where he really flopped. I would ask him a question and he would give me an answer...2 or 3 days later. If you need to talk to a professor about anything he is nearly impossible to get a hold of and when he does finally answer you, you have 3 more questions to ask. Horrible experience taking this class.
He showed a complete lack of interest in the class, and considering that it's an entry level math class I can see a lot of freshmen having issues with the class. The only reason I passed was because I'd already taken higher level math classes. I basically had to teach myself everything from the book because going to class was a waste of my time.
Lots of homework involved in this class so don't fall behind when doing it. His tests are usually only a few questions long with lots of work involved. He is also very hard to reach at his office. Also doesn't like to change due dates, so don't ask.
Never knew anything was due. Had a final project that he never specified requirements for. Gave a test on everything that was NOT on the study guide.
My experience with Bahi was not good. He was hard to understand and was constantly confusing himself while doing practice work during class. He assigned homework everyday on top of the course work on Hawkes which was probably 2-3 assignments a week. By the end of the first week I was behind in all my classes trying to stay up to date in his class.
Bahi has a very strong accent and sometimes is hard to understand, but once you get passed that you realize how awesome he is at teaching. I have gotten an A on all of his exams. He basically gives you homework and exams for the grade. The homework is a lot, but if you stay on top of it everyday its not bad. The exams are easy.
Very good professor. Knows the topic extremely well. Very willing to help you understand a tough topic. Very kind. Pretty funny. I'd take anything he teaches, I'd also feel comfortable asking him to refresh me on the topics when I needed them in later classes.
Professor Bahi is a great! I love his accent, imagine King Julian from the movie Madagascar. He knows the material well. He does an alright job conveying it. I recommend that you still study from the book as well. He puts slides on the G drive as well if you need help. Tests are worth the majority of the grade.(75%) w/ only 11 questions on each.
He can be hard to understand sometimes but other than that he is usually really good at explaining everything. He's very friendly and remembered everyone's name in my class. Whenever we needed help with a homework problem he would work through it in class with us. We only took four tests the whole semester.
Ask for help when needed. He does have an accent and it can be hard to understand him sometimes. Overall, he's an awesome guy!
Hes a very good guy and would help anyone out. Very good at explaining the subject and is willing to go over any problems people had. Very important to attend class you can teach yourself from the book of you happen to miss a day. Hes really funny and our class jokes with him quite frequently!
I had Math 1010 with professor Bahi and I had a really good experience. Although he has an accent, hes pretty clear in his lectures, when assignments are due, and what to expect in his tests. Hes a really funny guy and always making sure everyone understands the material. Defiantly would take a class from him again.
Even though he has a strong accent he is easy to understand or he clarifies what he means if you don't understand. He is very clear of what is expected for homework and test. He knows what he is talking about and was always willing to answer questions in class or one on one during his office hours.
Scatterbrained at times, but clearly intelligent. Frequently makes mistakes on the board but corrects them when pointed out, so pay attention instead of writing the wrong stuff down. Has a sense of humor and a heavy accent. He is compassionate and wants to see you succeed, which is why he assigns a lot of HW. Take him if you genuinely want to learn
This professor was a really really nice person. He was however not a good teacher. I felt confused and rushed the whole time. The tests were very hard.
Good professor! Attendance is not required, but it is helpful! He lectured most of the time and it was boring. Statistics is a difficult course, but he taught things in a way that were easy to grasp. We did not use excel AT ALL during this course, which is different from others who have taken statistics courses.
He is hard to understand due to his accent and his horrible handwriting. But he is a great professor, he is willing to give you extra help if you reach out to him. He is also super funny and makes class enjoyable. I also suggest if youre a little confused at the end of the day, you can also be helpful to read the textbook.
This professor does not use canvas and expects you to know everything. He gives practice exams that are useless for the actual exams. It's better to study your homework assignments you do for each exam. Said lacks in communication with the class and could benefit from a lesson on how to use canvas correctly like every other professor in the world.
Worst professor I've ever had. He is also one of the worst communicators I've ever known. He would require us to bring our own stats tables for the tests but wouldn't tell us that. He was not willing to help students and most of us failed every test. If he is your only option, wait to take this class with a different professor.
Really great professor. He is very clear about what is expected and as long as you are in class and paying attention. He is really good about helping if you dont understand something and he takes the time to review past things weve learned a lot. The tests are fairly easy if you pay attention in class. 100% would take his class again
This guy is the absolute WORST. Dropped the course because I literally didnt understand anything. He also has a very heavy accent which makes it hard to understand what he says. Also has terrible hand writing.
Bahi was difficult because his handwriting is very difficult to read and his accent is super thick. I, unfortunately, had to learn Statistics from the assigned textbook. Be aware that the way the textbook teaches stats is different than his method which will lose you points for work. You'll need to put in extra work to pass this class.
I am not good at math at all so personally for me the class was hard. Homework and tests were clearly laid out and graded in a good amount of time, it was just difficult.
I absolutely do not like this professor. I am completely online. If you email him with questions he has only ever given me a "figure it out for yourself" kind of answer. He has no interest in helping you pass. He does a "pre test" which is basically the study guide and only 5 questions out of the 40 are ever on the test. so you will fail the test.
I am a math person, but I hate doing a ton of busy work which should be the name for this class, "Statistics Busy Work"! Be prepared to have a lecture with notes in terrible cursive that is almost impossible to read. Also, read the sections before each class as he never was able to get through a single section. If you can drop this class or switch.
Ive seen this professor rated so poorly and I figured my rating would be very helpful. Hes sweet and an okay teacher. He goes into depth and repeats similar questions so you know the material. As homework goes, its a lot of busy work. Expect 2-5 pages a week. His accent isnt thick and his handwriting is good for math.
Bahi does tend to skip steps as he teaches in lectures. Math doesn't come super easily to me, but if I study I can usually get it. This class (Calc 2) was almost the death of me. The subject is already hard, but with all the busy work, it takes up most of your time. Easily 10 hours of homework a week. His accent is understandable. Be ready to work.
This class takes time to get used to. Professor Bahi has a thick accent which can be overwhelming and frustrating at the beginning. He also does not seem to stick to the PowerPoint during the lectures meaning they can be all over the place. Once you get used to the way he runs his class, it's not too difficult.
Horrible at communicating. He never posts videos for the online section and takes forever to email back, and when he does he doesnt use full sentences or even answer the question a lot of the time. You are completely left in the dark on so many things including grading structure, test length, how to use the software (which is an additional 90$)
I can't understand him when he talks. It's even worse with a mask on. Half of the grades in his class are determined by 3 tests before the final. He also moves very quickly with the material so it's hard to keep up. There is also a lot of busy work in his class. Every Friday there's an assignment due that's essentially 4 assignments all in one.
This class is very heavily weighted for exams. The class weight was 75% exams and 25% homework. Don't expect any bad grades to be dropped or the class to be graded on a curve. Most of this class will be self taught, with videos, and textbook . The homework is lengthy, especially as the semester continues into harder subjects.
The professor really is a nice person but a horrible teacher. I could never understand him during class and his TA's were the most strict graders ever I didn't get a single 100 percent on any assignment no matter how long I spent on it which would usually be 2-3 hours every sinle night. Tests are very hard and he will make you down for any mistake
Take this class with Bahi if you have prior stats knowledge. Do not expect to learn anything solely from lecture. You'll have to commit to learning outside of class and doing homework. Bahi is nice and encourages student learning but seems to have not figured out how to teach his students effectively. His exams are short and "show your work" heavy.
He has an assignment literally every day 7 days a week, sometimes multiple, which will take you multiple hours to complete. His answer to you having difficulty is to "read the textbook again" or "watch a video" rather than to teach. He is woefully disconnected from his class and his curriculum. His assignments grade themselves too. He does nothing.
Said Bahi is not a good professor. He offers little to no help and gets mad when you ask him questions. When emailed about mistakes, he brushes you off immediately then addresses it to the whole class after an hour. He says you can use Excel but doesn't teach you how to use it, so rent a TI84 from the library. He is very judgemental.
He has us read the book, but he teaches concepts not taught in the book, so make sure you come to class. The frustrating thing is that he requires you to show your work the way he would do it, not the way you would do it. And he expects you to write and understand all statistic nomenclature.
Professor Bahi has an accent that takes some getting used to but isn't hard to understand after a bit. He has lots of homework for you, but doing so prepares you for the exams. On canvas, he has practice tests with work done to demonstrate how to "show your work" which is where most points come from. As long as you do the work the class is simple.
Tests are timed with very little leeway so if your a slow test taker, this class will be rough. His lectures are difficult to understand and it is hard to follow his thought process. I had to essentially teach myself a lot of the material from the book because his lectures were too confusing.
If you are a bad test taker like myself, avoid professor bahi at all costs. Grades are weighed at 75% tests and 25% homework. There's also very little leeway, tests take 2 hours to complete and you are given 2 hours and 5 minutes. He also was not very helpful when you tried to message him.
The class was good, but it wasn't easy to understand the teacher because of his accent. I preferred doing the reading to going to class, however, he does in-class assignments that affect the grade a lot. The exams were fine and he was generous at grading. He tried to help the students if you go to the office hours, and he answered emails quickly.
The only effort that he seems to put into the class is scheduling the assignments, which he has to correct a lot. Need help? You are directed to the tutoring center and tech support. He can't be bothered to actually instruct. The assignments and grading is completed by software. If you are good at teaching yourself, you might like his method.
This professor is the prime example of one who is not interested in his students learning. He offers no guidance. He simply tells you to do the assignments and read. Doesnt allow notes, open book or anything that will help with this difficult class. He doesn't understand how difficult it is to memorize all the formulas. Dont take his class.
