DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! TRUST ME! take any other teacher, this teacher is a jerk!!! He can teach, but his tests are really hard!!! He wont tell you what to study on a test, he'll tell you to know it ALL. It's almost impossible to make an A in his class.

I took this in the summer and was very hard but he made it fun and was always there to help. He did say to know everything but you will use this stuff in the healthfield so it is good to know everything anyways. All of my time was spent studying but it is a hard class to begin with. Very nice teacher though. You just have to put forth the effort.

I love Sal. This class was one of the hardest not because of Sal he was the one that helped me make such a good grade in his class and you have to cover so much material and he has so many good stories that will help you remember diffects things. I love his class.

I thought Sal was excellent. You do have to "Know everything" but this phrase has helped me through my other science classes. I took him in Summer I and Summer II for the second half and I rocked A's in both!!! His bark is louder than his bite. He will make you think you are going to fell and says it but he does help you!

He is EXTREMELLY hard. Though, he is very helpful and knows what he is talking about. He is a nice guy. he gives you the grade you earn. He hardly EVER gives curves. I believe Sal is a good teacher. I like how the lecture and lab go together. Great teacher, I have a horrible time memorizing material but I did not only memorize I actually retained information from this teacher. He really helped and I am so glad I took him. Before taking his class I looked on this site to see how he would be but after seeing some of his reviews I got a bit freaked out, thankfully he is really a great guy.

BEST instructor ever... hard to believe he teaches at community college! Always available to help. Study hard and you'll get an A. Took him a while back for a nursing pre-req. I was amazed at how much I retained and how much helped me throughout my nursing school!! If you are going for nursing school, you MUST take him.

I already have a B.S. from an amazing university, yet Sal ranks at the top of my professor list. Although he has a "warped" sense of humor, he's literally a genius that loves to explain concepts with amazing clarity. He expects you to know the material thoroughly, so take him if you want a great foundation for Med school or nursing, not an easy A.

Amazing teacher! Took his Lab portion of the course during Maymester. He helped us with the lab questions in the book so that we were better prepared for our practicals. Very funny and wants you to love and understand Biology (the science part as well as life in general). I especially recommend him to ppl who have a hard time in science.

Frisella is a rarityGreat lecturer, using images for support rather than reading from pre-canned powerpoint. Participation is to your benefit, but not exclusively mandatory. Lab is self-paced for a reason (hint: do NOT miss first lab days when beginning a new topic). Lecture tests not so bad. Lab tests: know what is asked and you are good.

He comes off rough at first, but if you give him a chance you'll find he's great at what he does and his method of teaching combined with his humor is quite unique! One of my favorite Professors I've ever taken. He knows about his subject and he's got great stories that pertain to the criteria. Sal is a really great professor. His lectures are very swift so you have to take really good notes. I made a 100 in the class. I will say that his tests are very lengthy because they cover a lot of information. Be ready to study for this class. Also, he offers extra credit and curves tests so don't be discouraged by a low test grade and drop out.

He tries to relate everything we learn in class to outside concepts in the real world of nursing, which I really liked about the class. He goes through lectures very quickly and the day after the lab exam, he gives you a list of terms that he expects you to know. He expects you to learn a lot of lab by yourself.

This professor is a true gift to Eastfield College. He is likely the biggest med nerd on the planet and that is his greatest asset. He brings real life to his lectures and they are never boring. He really cares about the success of his students and helps to make sense of difficult concepts. His lectures are intellectually stimulating, and hes hot.

Took Anatomy 1 in a summer course. 3 lecture test, 3 lab test. Answers all your questions in depth so you know what he is talking about. Best professor I've had at eastfield! He is very real and truthful so if you get offended easily, I don't suggest taking him. He prepares you for the medical field and is always there if you have questions. He is accessible outside of class & responds to emails. Work is do-able, your only grades for the class are 3 lecture tests and 3 lab tests

Took Sal A&P 1 and 2 he is by far the best professor i've had! I stuggled a bit since i'm not used to studying but I did the best I could & managed to get an A. At times I felt like I was falling behind but I asked A LOT of questions & took notes. Sal is a great instructor if you dont understand something just ask he really cares about his students

Sal is a very good Professor who wants all his students to pass. There are only 6 exams in total, so it's not too strenuous but you will need your lab manual for sure for Lab exams there is no other way to pass without it, I recommend a hard copy in hand. He also gives extra credit. I took both A&P 1 and 2 online and got an A+ for both course

Took him in BIOL-1406 in 2020. Great professor! Very easy and doesnt give too much work like other professors. Its simple, but you have to work hard if you want to receive an A. Also took him in BIOL-2401 and again great professor!!!

Sal Frisella was the best professor I have had! He was very clear in his grading and what he wanted in an assignment. It was very informative and I was able to do well with a bit of effort. He responded to emails quickly and was very understanding when a problem arose.

Professor Sal is a calm and collected professor. I had him for Anatomy and physiology, and he was super knowledgeable and had great lectures. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and I would take him again for A and P 2. I was in his accelerated class even then he helped to the best of his ability in the short time we had. 10/10.

SAL IS THE BEST! Professor Sal explains concepts in a very easy manner for students to understand and is very knowledgable in the realm of science overall. Don't slack because there is a lot of material to cover and learn. Take good notes and be sure to attend as much as you can in person. Some concepts are better explained in class prior exams.

His workload was pretty heavy but he made sure you were well prepared for the material he gave you. The only thing I did find a bit difficult was the timed, fill in the blank test he had given us in lab. I would study everything he gives you into depth, many of us failed that exam although he did give us opportunity for extra credit which helped.

He is not a very strict teacher, but he definitely isn't a lenient teacher. He breaks down the class is a very digestible way. The 4-week class is a lot but if you come to class every day, study and ask questions you can easily pass. If you're looking for a teacher that cares, take Sal's class. All-around cool dude.

Honestly the best professor I've ever had. After taking his class, I decided to major in biology. His class was not easy, and you really have to study. He's also hilarious, so that's a plus! Really recommend his course if your passionate about biology, and not scared for heavy studying.

I gave Sal a 5 because he genuinely cares about his students and wants you to succeed. Would I retake the class? No. The tests are timed, 1 minute for 2 questions; he gives you a blank sheet of paper with no word bank and sets up stations around the room and different 3d models at each station that correspond with questions. 3 tests, that's it.

THE BEST BIOLOGY PROFESSOR IN TOWN EAST TECH!! I took him for an 8 week semester and although it was fast paced ,lessons were clear, no homework, he is an awesome teacher you won't regret taking him. IF YOU'RE A SLACKER, unmotivated or just want a simple C, then this class isn't for you!! with that being said, professor Sal cares greatly for his students! I can see why some would give him a low score, hes not everyone's cup of tea, I took the summer/term (ended w/half the class dropping) if you work hard & study its possible to get an A+!!

I took Professor Sal, 5-week summer course and it was pretty tough. Professor Sal does come off as "mean" or "rude," but honestly, he is one of the few professors that I had who truly cares about his students to learn and understand A&P. I would have taken his A&P 2 course but sadly he does not have any more openings. GREAT Professor!!!

This is your sign to enroll in Sal's course! AMAZING professor, very knowledgeable & caring. Genuinely wants you to succeed and anyone who thinks otherwise, simply doesn't want to put in the effort. Show up to class! Read, review and study a lot. He is a very nice person who will definitely make you laugh and make the course interesting.

Sal's class is no walk in the park, but if you put in the effort, it's incredibly rewarding. The lectures are dense, but going to class and reading the textbook pays off. For study prep, I found Unstuck study and ChatGPT really helpful.

Professor Sal's class was the best loved every minute of it. He really cares about his students and teaches well. Make sure to study and you will pass! His way of teaching is incredible I enjoyed a&p 2!!
