Primeggia is all the rave at Adelphi. He is a good prof., but I think there are other ones just as good as well. He reminds me of a high school teacher. He is animated, funny an interesting and he has no tolerance for students who are unmotivated. He is not an easy A.

He really gets into his lessons which makes him an awsome teacher. He wants his class to be involved and you better be or he gets mad!!! If you are lucky enough you'll get into his class!

Best professor on campus! He is very helpful and friendly. You have to do the work in his class to get a good grade. It's worth it. I learned so much from him. He is very funny, and makes his classes interesting and fun. I recommend his classes to all my friends.

Very helpful, and always keeps you on top of things. Tests based on lectures...its about 3 questions that require examples, from either class lectures or personal examples..easy A!!

Great professor and all-around cool guy. He could take practically any topic and make us relate to it. And he's genuinely interested in what you have to say.

This guy is obviously still rockin' and I'm glad to see it. A guy who genuinely cares about his students and his craft, as well as the welfare of the school at large. I remember him as one of my most respected profs. I had him back in 1993, I think it was. Long live Primegg!

Simply the best. I have had a lot of great professors in my time, and this is in no way to take away from them, but this man truly cares about his students and gets his point across in a fun way. When i retire into college teaching, if i amount to 1/100000000000000th of the professor he is, i will fell very proud.

I graduated from Adelphi in 1972 with a Major in Sociology. Sal is the best professor I ever had and given the fact I have two post graduate degrees, this means a lot. He expected us to work, but brought out the best in us so long as we met the challenge. He inspired my choice of career and I now am a public interest attorney. Thanks Sal!

My expectations of him were not quite what I was expecting with all the hype he has been receiving. He wants you motivated and will do what he can to help you. Overall, a pretty good teacher.

DR. Sal is the best! He turned me from a History major to a Sociology Major. He deserves respect and is hilarious. Adelphi should never lose him! He is the greatest. It will be a sad day when he retires.

Truly a great professor. A nice guy who understands his students. His lectures are very entertaining but at the same time the humor really engages you in class discussions. You don't just learn about sociology from him but you also learn a lot about life. Definitely stimulated my interest in the subject. Exams questions and grades are very fair.

Professor Primeggia is a legend. He is hilarious and his lectures were interesting. A majority of the class was movies and there were three papers, a midterm and final which were all easy. Primeggia is the best. I had him for an Italian-American sociology course and he gave a short quiz after every book, a midterm, and a final. Exams were not hard . Just read the books and listen in class and you will do well. Also make sure to participate! He is super cool and hilarious. An Adelphi legend !

Understanding during COVID, and was able to make class fun! His lectures were super interesting, but you have to participate and have your camera on. There are only a few assignments, but I didn't even touch my textbook. If you take him for SOC202, I recommend starting your research paper early and participating!

Professor Primeggia is hilarious and amazing. He has really great lectures and is clear. He gives a midterm, two book quizzes, and a final. Try to participate because lack of participation from the class will make him upset or even yell. His quizzes and exams aren't hard as long you read the material. You also have to take notes by hand.

I liked him. Funny guy and kept the class interesting. Only thing was that he has an extremely short temper and will just go off on the class. Did it several times during the semester. Other than that, good professor, no homework, pretty easy class.

u cannot be a softy or take anything serious in this class. he does make comments but u could tell its with no ill intent. participation is key. he loves class discussions. loved that he doesnt read of slides and does his absolute best to engage the class. no homework just tests.
