he is easy for pre calculus and i thought i learned a lot but when i got to caluclus i was pissed that i did not get the information i needed to know. Do not take math with him if you are going to go beyond prerequisites. It's a waste of time. Fine for people with majors that do not require math.

Greatest math professor I've ever had. He goes through the steps to problems in so much detail it's almost annoying. I found my self thinking CUT TO THE CHASE ALREADY but other than that he's a great professor and he has very reasonable class policies.

Sal is the best! He is an amazing professor. He teaches at a good pace so you understand everything. Math isn't my cup of tea but with him I loved it. Homework is online but he only wants you to attempt it and try to do it. No quizzes. 4 Tests and final and he drops the lowest test grade. Easy A.

Sal is one of the best Prof I have ever had!I am horrible in Math and had Sal for ALG A and ALG B and got a B in both classes. I was excited to go to class and Learn.. He is very helpful as long as your will to apply yourself. When teaching Sal is very very clear when he explains his lesons. If you want to Lean take this proffesor.

Sal is very helpful, and more importantly very patient. His teaching style if very clear, and organized, and if you are really struggling with the material he will make a point of going over it, until you have a decent handle on it. The online my-math-lab is a requirement, but if anything it helps. Take Sal's class, he is a very good teacher.

Best Professor at BCC! Had him for Alg A and he explains everything is very clear and will go over any homework problems and reviews for test.

Professor Sileo is absolutely the BEST. He takes his time and goes over everything as many times as it takes to ensure that you understand it. I would not have passed 031 without him and Yes i signed up for 032 with him and if he teaches anything else I will take that too!!!!!

Sileo is the absolute best! He takes his time and goes slow yet covers all the material needed. He answers any questions you may have and is a cool person to talk to as well. Very cool to joke around with and an awesome teacher to learn from, he actually made me somewhat interested in math and I hate math! Definitely take his class.

Prof Sileo was extremely helpful. he gave you a calendar of what we were learning every week. He explained problems very clear, and if you didnâ??t understand how it needed to solved he took his time to make sure you did understand it. He's a nice guy and also a good professor. Prior to his class, I never realized how simple Algebra really is. Professor Sileo explains each concept step by step. Also, he grades exams fairly and is generous with partial credit.

Even though I failed this class, Sal was the first teacher I ever had that I actually started to understand algebra. He is extremely patient with students who aren't proficient in math. He tried his best, it wasn't his fault I failed.

Sal is one of the best professors I have ever had at BCC. I had taken MAT 031 before and I completely bombed the class. With Sileo I understood the material and ended up with a B. A professor can really make a difference and Sal Sileo did for me. TAKE HIM! He may not make you love math but he will help you pass.

He's so nice that when I failed one of his tests he wrote "66, I know you tried hard on this, sorry." He apologized to me for failing a test! So nice and an all around great teacher. Very clear.

Good rating for his personality! and approach to students! however, his very tough grader, he grades by average! suck! You better study hard before the tests which are not easy. Easy examples are provided on the board thorough lecture and on the test are tricky and harder.

Professor Sal is an amazing professor. Hes very clear and concise. He over simplifies problems, and shows you different ways to solve the problem. HW is given however its not mandatory, but it helps you undestand the work. He gives a calander with the dates for the tests and reviews. Handsout review packets before a test .

Professor Sileo is one of the most helpful professors at Bergen. He goes over every problem students ask in a very detailed manner. Tests are much like the review packets. Tests are graded fairly and reflect knowledge on the subject accurately.

CLEAR, ORGANIZED, PATIENT, concise, professional, thorough, considerate, caring, humble and humorous. What makes him stand out above the rest is that he truly cares in helping his students succeed. He is an ideal professor and puts his heart into his work. He does not rush through the lectures so that everyone can keep up, which comes in handy.

I am an Honor student who can't pass this class simply because there was a professor I had in the past who kept telling me I can't make it until the idea got carved into my heart. Prof Silio has helped me to understand the material. He is patient with the students. Even if a student already asked the same question, he will answer it again. I've always struggled with math until Professor Sileo's class. He explains throughly step by step until you understand. His reviews mirror his exams, which helps alot. Understanding when it comes to exams, gives you partial credit if you tried. Overall great Math prof!

Professor Sal was very caring,supportive and hilarious. Only con is that he sticks to his calendar for the reason that he has to teach everything for the final. Class has 4 test, 1 Final, HW for every section(optional). I suggest not to skip class. Overall great professor! Cares about you understanding the material.

Amazing professor! He helped me with all of the questions that I had and provided great reviews. If you watch the lectures, do the homework, and do the review, this class should be a breeze. 75% Tests 25% Final, 0% homework, but I highly recommend it if you want to succeed. Also, the actual tests are much easier than the review.

I wish I could have Professor Sileo for all my math classes. He literally dumbs down all the material in the class that there is no way for you not to get it. Tests are short. He is always willing to stay after and help, was really upset corona cut our class short but he adjusted to online very well! Bergen needs to hire him full time! I recommend.

He's a real gem. I took Intermediate Algebra my first semester at Bergen and had him as a late night course, he is a true gem. I learned a lot and he made the topics covered very simple. I definitely learned a lot and would recommend to anyone who has to take the course! He's just a great person!

Professor Sileo is one of the best math professors at Bergen. His lectures are so clear and understanding. He teaches step by step and exams are manageable! If you need help he is definitely there to help. He's awesome! Highly recommend!

Although the class is online, you learn as if you were in person. His online YouTube lectures were clear and really helpful, but I personally watched them in 2x speed. Homework is not mandatory; you are graded on four exams and a final. He does not use Moodle, only email, but you can always email him with questions and he will help you out.

Love this professor, not only was he helpful but he also graded so fast. his YouTube lectures were amazing , i actually learned something from his class! once you know the material his exams are very very easy i would definitely recommend him

Best math teacher I have had in HS and College. He is very good at teaching and provides ton of examples. His gives 4 tests and the department final which is 25% of your grade. His tests are only 15-20Qs. He provides study guides for all the tests and if you just practice the study guide 2-3 times you will pass the test every time. TAKE HIM!!

He was amazing, thorough, and clear. Was willing to answer any question and offered reviews. Had 4 tests, and a final. Pay attention and ask questions and you'll be fine.

The online asynchronous version of MAT160 is literally just 5 tests, no homework or classwork. Only downside is you only have one specific day to do a test. Otherwise, this is an extremely light course.

Professor Sileo was probably the most calm professors I've ever had. He always tries to help you during class, he devotes about 30 minutes at the beginning of class to go over the homework and answer any questions, he also gives you a review before an exam and its almost entirely similar to the exam but just remember to go over the material before.

Thorough, clear and concise. Great feedback on all homework's , tests. Breaks down every concept taught from every section from top to bottom. Knows how to make all material very easy to understand. Professor Sileo is an excellent math instructor who makes even challenging concepts very accessible. The lectures are engaging, and he's always available to provide extra help. I found Unstuck study and the provided textbook to be great study aids alongside the in-class lessons.

I'm very grateful that I selected him over the other professors that teaches MAT-160 I wished he taught MAT-180 :(

He does reviews very similar to the tests. Textbooks is only used for homework, which is optional. Attendance is optional, all his lessons on youtube.
