I took online class with hime and he gave us helpful notes during semester. Tests were multiple choice and short answer.

I took his online business classes and got an A or B in all of them. He doesnt assign alot of work and as long as you do what he gives you got an A. Easy teacher

Very easy class no matter what teacher, but he's probably among the nicer ones. Really wants everyone to pass, extra credit is given, class notes are posted online, homework is emailed rather than brought into class. If you are planning to take Bus 1, take him.

This Teacher is awsome literally. You can not take the finial as long as you keep your grades up and that always good. And he is nice and will work with you even on late assignments. Hes not a push over. His test are a bit tricky, you dont even have to go to this class to get an A like me just read the book.Hes all good OkAy!!

I took an online class with him and He was Fantastic! he reply emails fast, test were basically quite easy because you get to refer to his powerpoints which is often better than the textbook. He gives full mark for every discussions and Hw. and there's a makeup discussion to just in case you get low marks in one of the hw or discussions. take him

He is just soooo awesome! Materials are so helpful, exams and quizes should be easy if you read the textbook. I learned a lot in this class. Grading is very fair too. He helps you get better grade for sure! Though I haven't received the final grade yet, my grade so far is over 100%! Take His Class!

Took 8-week online class - an assload of reading - discussions, written hw assignments and plenty of quizzes (only 10 required, but you can take like 16) to get all your quiz points. Tests are pretty straight-forward. E-Companion setup is very intuitive - he does his best to make sure all the links and content work (practice quizzez & reviews).

I thought this class was going to be hard but it wasn't. Take this online class with him instead of taking it with a on campus professor. I wouldn't recommend taking this class or any other class with the person incharge of the Business department. Veas is so easy. Trust me.

He is so easy, and yet you get to learn smth from him at the same time. His online assignments (i took this class online), just do what he asked you to and he'll give you full marks easily! his tests, just refer to his slideshows. AND he will give you a make-up assignment just in case you don't get full-marks for ANY of your homeworks. TAKE HIM!

one word: EASY! Took this class online (8 week course)...this guy helps you get the A...he let me re-take 3 quizzes that I missed, he gives you make up assignments to get a better grade just in case you missed something, and he gives you full credit on all the discussions and assignments as long as you attempted them. Very easy A!

Easy online class- REALLY easy tests. Had to do a lot of reading, but that's expected with an online class. Minimal homework, easy final. I only put effort into reading, but I got 100% on all homework. Got something ridiculous like 99.4% in the class.

Took it online. He sets up the class SO clearly that you know exactly what you need to do and what the material is. Lots of fun study and lecture material. 90% learning 10% grading so you can focus on learning the subject rather than jumping through hoops for an A. Tests are reasonable and set up well. Definitely take him.

Took this class online and it was definitely easy if you just do the required reading. Everything is laid out nicely, but the instructor seriously didn't seem interested in the course. He did grade the tests quickly though which was nice.

I highly recommend the online class. The textbook is genuinely interesting to read. The online resources, called the pre-test and the post-test, are the most valuable for studying. Most answers can be found word for word in the textbook. Homework is a maximum of a page. I'm taking another class by Prof Veas, and I can't wait. Got an A.

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR. RESPONDS SUPER QUICKLY TO EMAILS. Easy A. Took the summer online class, 4 tests 200 pts each plus discussions and HWs which are 25pts each. Class is a total of 1000pts. Veas is extremely helpful, he's sweet, and also gives add codes!

Great class! Took 8 week online class. Class is very well organized, instructions are clear and concise. Must read the book to succeed or at least familiarize yourself with the chapters for the tests and you'll do well. Teacher has great communication skills, grades and responds to e-mails quickly.

Great teacher.. I really likes his way of teaching and I've learnt a lot about marketing. He has examples whit real life companies and how they market themselves, makes it easy to understand. He lets you bring the book and your notes to the tests, iow A is impossible not to get. My favorite Prof in Santa Monica! + I love apple as much as he does!

Professor Veas is great. This class is easy as long as you put the work into it, must read the textbook, most of the questions on exams are from the text. But this is a fun class and I learned a lot!

Great teacher! Very straight forward about the assignments, if you want to get a good grade read the book and hand in the assignments on time. There was not an overload of work and made me actually enjoy taking an online class. I took his online marketing class this past fall 2010. Loved it, got a great grade in it too!

Great Professor! I took his "hybrid" class meaning more focused online then via the classroom. He's super understanding, but I felt like the tests and the material he covers are very book heavy. Meaning: READ THE BOOK. If you're studious about the readings, there won't be a reason you be able to get an A.

About to finish his online class and I have to say I have really enjoyed this teacher. I haven't met him but he responds to email like lightening! He also sends coursework reminders and seems very helpful. I don't love the book we are using but that's not his fault. Overall, I would take him again.

Just the one of greatest professor of BUS 1 in the world. The test is not that easy for international, but enough to get A if you study enough. for HW, just follow the notice and you get full score. Strongly suggest!

Every time I sign up for classes at smc, I look to see if he's teaching any other business classes. He's a great teacher and considerate of his students. He is always willing to help anyone, and is so extremely organized that you always know what's going on. And if not, he gives you his email and cell number just to make sure you can figure it out!

I took his 8 week online class this spring. its easy and straight forward. 5 exams in total, but they are all MC questions and answers can be found in textbook. highly recommend this teacher!! easy A!!!

Very nice and an easy professor. I took the hybrid class - attendance wasn't mandatory since assignments and most tests were online but it was fun to go to class.

Can't ask for a better professor. Qualified, helpful, straight forward, and clear. Took his 8 week hybrid course. Meet once a week for lecture and at home delve deeper into things you don't understand. Don't have to buy the textbook, he gives you a code to access it online. Tests are based of book and homework, both are online. Great professor

This was my first online class ever, I had no idea how it would work. Mr. VEAS made me feel like I was ok just with the simple introduction. I strongly suggest anyone who has to take this class to take it with him, just make sure you have your book and read it because it definitely helps a lot.

This class is literally a class that everyone should consider taking. I took this class simply as an elective but came out with plenty of new knowledge about the business world. Discussions are related to current issues. The professor is CARING and will always respond to students that need help. I had felt that he was there for the students 247.

Ive never seen a online course's professor who CARE his students so much! Always get email from him reminding your study, response email within one day(sometime in 1 hr!!) self-paced homework, you can finished it before the class final, but I recommend do it before every exam. It's very very worth to take this class. Great Teacher and Learning!!

The class is very complex - you have to read and study to do well on the tests. Other than that I learned so much from this course. I'm glad I took it. It was an on-line course - I have taken on-line courses before but this one was my first from Santa Monica College so I knew that a lot of planning my and self discipline was involved.

Smart and considerate professor.

He's a cool teacher, pretty easy going and willing to make things up and go over things in class. Long but interesting lectures. Be sure to take notes and pay attention to what he says, it will help you on the test which are mainly online and open book.

He's an amazing marketing professor who engages his students by creating mini assignments and projects that are representative of class material. You will learn a lot because participation in discussions is required. He makes class even more interesting by posting discussion topics and allowing students to learn from each other. Highly recommend.

Well he mentioned he changed things around to get a rating that shows he's a challenging professor but I have to honest, he was pretty chill. He has a clear grading criteria and his tests are pretty easy. I liked the discussion topics. Read the book to pass. The assignment schedule is perfect and I never felt rushed during the short winter session.

I love the way he introduces himself and always provides examples before he expects us to just go out on the limb to provide answers or feedback. Simple grading scale that is straight to the point.

Prof. Veas is great--he is very accessible and gives good feedback. His directions are clear and straightforward. The workload is a little tough--a lot of assignments due on Canvas, but not unbearable. His class is highly recommended!

basically, you have a test or discussion due every week and there are quizzes you have to take from the book online that take forever. u dont have to spend much time on the class. i didnt learn anything, but easy A

Easy A; just do the assignments and you'll get an A. 5 tests+1 final. Discussions every week, and you have to use this other website to do hw based on the book, it costs like 60$ but u can get a 2 week trial and complete all of them during that time: the HWs are easy, you just click a button and it practically gives u the answer.

This is an online class, that is pretty fast-paced. The workload was evenly distributed throughout each week but it requires your participation to complete the workload in a timely manner because the course covers a lot of chapters! I appreciated the reminders of weekly assignments!

Professor Veas is an extremely caring teacher. He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone in the class is doing well. There is A LOT of homework, but it is all fairly easy. I would highly recommend this class.

I was a little hesitant on taking an online course, just because I wanted the best understanding Introduction to Business I could get. Professor Veas hands down is the best Professor I have ever had and I have not even met him. Although I feel like I have met him. There was so much interaction through this online course. A very easy straightforward class. Sal Veas messages you constantly to let you know when the assignment is due. He also gives you the privilege of working ahead, allowing you to finish the class a week or two in advance. There is a code to do the assignment but you can use the two weeks free trial and finish in a few days. Highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my Business 1 class a lot and I walked away with more knowledge when it comes to business. Our professor showed us individual attention through his grading though we were taking an online class!

Professor Veas is the best online professor that I have had. He understands the online course culture. He explains all necessary aspects of the class upfront and responds immediately to any inquiries. He is perfectly efficient and well organized. There is a lot of homework but the grading is extremely fair. The learning experience was a pleasure.

Taking Professor Veas' Bus 1 class has been the best decision of my life! I was worried taking 2 online classes over the winter but his class was the easiest of the 2 because of his communcation and transparency. Workload is heavyish but totally manageable. He opens all the work early, no extra credit but drops some grades. Overall great professor!

TAKE HIM! I was worried about taking a business class since I am not a business major however, I am so glad I took a chance and took it with Professor Seal. He releases all the assignments and the due dates in the beginning so you are aware of when everything is due which was a LIFESAVER. He is very clear on what he expects from his assignments.

The most organized and interactive professor I've had. His syllabus and grading criteria are very clear and fair. If you can't get an A in this class, it says something about you, not him! Weekly assignments and discussions that really make you practice your business mentality. SMC needs more professors like him.

Very easy A. There is a lot of work but its easy and doable.

All we had to do is read and respond to the discussions and writing assignments. The only thing that was a little difficult were the simulations but we can do multiple attempts to get 100%. He gives extra credit if you put thought into your responses. I did not really need any help to get an A in the class.

Amazing professor !

Took this as an 8-week course, and it was very manageable! You get multiple attempts on most assignments. He graded quickly and sent email reminders to make sure we didn't fall behind. He seems to be considerate of your time and never makes difficult requirements for discussions. He gives extra points for really good responses.

A GOOD guy that ties salesforce lessons into course modules to keep learning fresh and topics current. The McGrawHill Connect online text/slides have some solid customer service framework lessons and also bring you up to speed on useful COM and PSYC topics in understanding people. Useful classwill make you a better human being4learning this stuff!

I took his Bus 1 during Winter 2021. The class was very straightforward and simple as long as we are doing your assignment on time you will get an A. Grading is very clear everything is open so you can move on and even finish the course a week or two earlier. He is very helpful and accessible outside of classroom and answers question and mail fast.

This was a self-navigated class but Prof Veas was very quick at responding back to you and updating the grade book which I really appreciated. All the homework is easy but it may seem overwhelming at first, it's not. It takes a few hours to complete a week's worth of work. I do wish I got to interact with him but I liked reading his announcements

I took this class over the winter term (6 weeks) and I loved it. Prof. Veas was the most organized teacher Ive ever had and he was very good at reminding everyone about due dates. There were quite a few assignments each week but they were all simple. If you complete them to the best of your ability (which isnt difficult) youll get an A.

AMAZING CLASS. He gives a bunch of "assignments," that are so easy to complete and are so helpful to keep your grade at an A. Quizzes and Simulations have three tries. A couple of writing assignments, but if you reach the number of words he wants, he gives you an A. I would 100% recommend taking this class!

Gives extra credit opportunities and is super helpful and sweet! He is an easy grader and is amazingly organized. I dont really like the material of business or marketing but the semester was straight forward. I was able to finish the course within 5 weeks. He sends reminders every week for what assignments are due. Highly recommend this professor.

Really good professor. The class was full, but the professor allowed me to enroll. Quite a bit of work for a 8 week course, but all very manageable. You can theoretically finish the whole class in 3-4 days if you really grind it out (like I just did). Learned a lot, interesting material, good written discussions. Professor was super approachable.

There aren't really any wrong answers with him and he really wants you to succeed. Most of the work is through the textbook and they're doable and straightforward for the most part. This class works in a fast pace. Most of the work is done in the textbook and there are about three chapters each week to complete that come with activities. You will be fine as long as you complete the work on time each week. Don't procrastinate/fall behind bc work will stack up and become too much. Veas is caring and sends helpful weekly emails.

Took Professor Veas for online Business 1. He was very nice and always gave us some great feedback and motivation. Overall, really enjoyed the course and teacher.

The class was well organized and there was extra credit but only up to 20 points and 15 extra credit points in smartbook assignments. Easy B if you do the bare minimum and an A is possible if put in some effort. All in all he is an easy grader. All assignment are open once class starts and you can work ahead. Take Veas you won't regret it.

Professor Veas is an amazing professor. Had to take BUS for a GE req., and did not regret it. There is a lot of material, but if you are proactive you should get a B with no sweat (a lot of EC opps too). Professor Veas was quick in his responses, and very caring. Prof. Veas is a wonderful professor in all aspects. His course outline & syllabus is clear & comprehensive. If you read the book, put in the time/effort & are focused, you will do well in the class. He is flexible and offers extra credit as well. 5-stars for me!

Professor Veas is a great instructor. Even online, he is very clear in his instructions and is very organized. He knows what he is doing, and is very accommodating if there's any trouble. I would enjoy being in his class again.

It was a great class

It's been a great experience taking this business class with Professor Sal. The assignments are very helpful and I enjoyed the different types of assignments that we had to do. The simulations and the 21st century skills assignments were very useful as they help us learn about our future career path in many different aspects of business.

There is no reason why you should end up with anything less than an A in this class. The content is straightforward, the due dates are spread out, and best of all, Professor Veas communicates with us (via announcements) students on a daily, if not weekly, basis.

Professor Veas was terrific, and I loved how he structured his class. His instructions are clear, his communication skills are superb, and he sets you up for success. He is highly recommended!

The course was done through an online program which costs around $60. He gives you a lot of tries. no points taken off for wrong answers, you just do it till you get it right. I think it's the #1 method of teaching. Through his discussions and the way the course was taught, iwas able to learn a lot about businessTake him and you won't regret it

Amazing! Do it

Where do I even start Professor Veas is the best teacher I have had in a long time. He is super helpful and responds quickly if you have any questions. His guidelines for the class are very detailed. The assignments are not based on if you're right or wrong but if you understand the concepts which is amazing. Pretty easy class to pass!

Great professor! This class is truly valuable and professor Veas is always responsive and helpful. The workload is light, I took the Winter 6-week session and I finished in 3.5 weeks. Even that workload is light, you truly learn valuable information.

Such an amazing prof! So caring and accommodating. SB assignments are a little long but his modules are quite fun! No finals no tests no quizzes. Just SB assignments which are guaranteed 100%, discussions, and simulations which you should have no problems getting an easy 100% (you get 3 attempts). Low stress and very fun.

Love this class, learned so much. Most assignments are due on Sunday and there are discussion posts every week. Very understanding professor and gives great feedback. No tests or quizzes and my class was async.

Professor Veas is a gem at SMC. He is a very easy grader and responds super fast to emails. Not too many assignments. Only downside to this class is you have to pay around $60 for Mcgraw-Hill Connect. No midterms or finals. Grade is mostly based off discussion posts and smartbook problems. Super friendly guy. Easy A!

Awesome course - I took it through concurrent enrollment as a HS student, and loved the flexibility offered. Despite this structure, the material is all interested and you get to interact with your peers through discussions. Would highly recommend!

Took this in 8 weeks. Extremely easy to get an A. Easy grader and all the work is given at once for the entire semester.

Professor Veas' class was very laidback for an 8-week course. I learned a lot, but nearly every assignment were SmartBooks via McGraw Hill and other assignments through the online textbook. My grade should've been higher, but the optional, extra credit assignments showed up in the gradebook as zeros and dropped it by a few points.

Professor Veas is an engaging instructor who cares about student learning. The workload is manageable, with discussions and assignments but no tests. Using unstuck AI alongside the course materials was super helpful for staying on top of things.
