Wow! I wish I had Sally in High School (Which I had her aunt, and she is awesome!) she explains everything clearly and cares about every person in there. So if you have to take ENG 111 or any english she is teacher...take my advise...TAKE HER!

She is good. Willing to compromise due dates. SO NICE. If you have to take a lit class to transfer to a 4 yr school I recomend this you have a number of novels to read, but are never tested in the class so you dont even have to ever read them if you dont have the time.

Ms. Lahmon takes her time to make the class enjoyable. I appreciated taking her class. Ms. Lahmon is never condescending of her students and is very encouraging.

I am taking an internet course. Sally has been great with feedback. The workload is moderate but not extreme and there is plenty of time to get assingments in. Her grading seems to be very fair and timely. Questions are answered quickly via e-mail.

Sally's comments were very helpful. Writing is not one of my fortes and I was worried about taking the class online. Sally made the online class work by putting us into groups and keeping us involved. I am just sorry that she is not teaching ENG 112 online for summer 06 quarter. I would like to have her as an instructor again.

WOW. Great professor. The class is pretty easy, but challenging. I have dreaded the thought of this course from the beginning, but it has ended up being very good experience.

Ms. Lahmon is one of the best profs I've ever had in English. She was helpful and willing to make sure everyone in the class succeeded. She made us learn, which is why we pay for college, yet was there for every student. I don't have lots of free time, so assignments were tough, but what I learned, will insure, my future success.

She was a great teacher. Very helpful. For her online class you don't get to see what errors you made, but she does provide feedback. It would be nice if you could see your errors marked up in word or something and sent back to you and not just get a grade. I still loved her though!

Sally is a very good teacher and is very helpful. She says she is a tough grader but if you pay attention and get involved with the course work you should have no problem getting an A or B. I took this class online, and wasn't sure what to expect. Prof. Lahmon was extremely helpful throughout the class and responded quickly. She also gave input on the message boards to ensure everyone understood the assignment and was following the directions. Make sure you follow the posted instructions, ask for help if you need it, and have fun!

Took online. This class was great. I wasn't looking forward to this class but it was fun. The assignments are good. There isn't too much homework. Very quick at responding to emails and very understanding. If you have the chance, take her class. Wonderful!

I recommend taking her class. If you have questions at any time throughout your course, she is there willing to answer! I think that just like any English professor her grading scale is hard but as long as you use all your resources like the English lab you shouldn't have a problem. I took this as an online class and would take her class again!

I took ENG111 online. Course was easy and the pace was acceptable. Grading was fair and quickly returned. Would definitely take another course from this professor.

I was REALLY dreading taking English. Sally has made it the one class I truly look forward to. She expects college level work, but is super helpful to get you to that level. Friendly, flexible and fair.

Awesome. She actually enjoys coming to class to teach everyone. Book use consisted of material that can be found on the Internet, so a person could scoot by without buying the book. She is also hot, which might help with concentration during lectures. Workload was fair and can almost be planed out ahead of time. Is also flexible (with her schedule) so there's little problem with obtaining an A with hard work.

best professor ever and is super understanding! i once thought i turned in an essay before i got on the road to go out of town, but it didn't submit. she was totally okay with that and still accepted that essay with its full points. she also didn't require the textbook to be mandatory, but rather optional and provided all the needed info online.

Amazing professor. Going into English 1201 I felt very intimidated, but have not worried since day one of class. She wants every student to success and will help you reach your goals if you are willing to communicate and take the effort to complete the assignments. Everything is explained in great detail! I wasn't expecting to have to read a book in English 1201, but you will for a literary analysis. Other than that she was nice and caring of her students (although I really put her class on the back burner and didn't show up all that much.) I would recommend her though!

Professor lahmon is amazing and you are assigned to read a children's books at least 1-2 wks in her class. It is an easy A if you show up to class and do all your assignments and professor lahmon helps with all her students and gives extra time if needed! She's amazing

Professor Lahmon is the BEST english teacher here at Sinclair. She is always helpful and gives the best feedback. She doesn't just help students enjoy writing, she helps students respect writing too. This is an easy A class if you just do what is asked of you. None of the work is hard.

If you do the work you will pass. There was nothing that was out over the top with her, she's very straight forward with how she wants you to do things, so there's little to question. Great Professor especially if english isn't your cup of tea!! I would love to take her class again.

Reading children's books for a college course was amazing. The instructor is understanding and she rocks! You write a 300 word essay on each book you read and do two major essays. We also studied fairy tales. Her class is great and she does not give tests or an exam.

I took this course online. The professor was amazing! She gives really good feedback on essays. The essays required some work, but everything else was pretty easy. Technically, there was a textbook (online though so I didn't have to buy it) but I only used it two or three times because she didn't really assign much reading.

Shes wonderful class isnt mandatory but you are awarded bonus point for perfect attendance. As long as you do whats expected youll be just fine

Sally is an AMAZING professor that I wish I could take again. On day one she asked the students to formulate how we wanted the class to work instead of making us adapt to her. She walked in everyday with a smile. Writing has always been an easier subject for me, but I had never liked it until this class. The prompts were interesting and relatable.

Participation is very important to her, however she's very flexible and understanding. She provides tons of resources for essays as well so you don't get lost, but you can always ask her for help! Professor Lahmen is an excellent professor who works with her students and is always available to help. She is a tough but thorough grader and you will learn a lot about writing by taking her class.

She was good, but you will be constantly writing papers. She was fairly clear of what is expected, but can be kind of a tough grader. There were several times where I was docked quite a few points for silly stuff, like not having a creative enough title. She does provide a lot of examples of papers to help lead you in the right direction.

The way the rubrics are set up, you lose points for not exceeding the guidelines which can be frustrating. Overall, she's a pretty easy but fair grader and gives good feedback. Professor Lahmon leaves AMAZING feedback. Most of my profs rarely left anything, but prof. Lahmon is so encouraging and helpful. It was a lot of writing, but I took the class in a condensed form (and it is a comp class, so writing is kinda the main point!) She specifically makes sure that the topics you write on are ones you actually care about.

Prof. Lahmon was a 10/10 professor! I took her online child & adolescent literature class and the grading points for each assignment were very clear. She was a very generous grader and left thoughtful feedback that made it clear she read my full assignment. I would take her class again!!
