Mr. Soto is my counsler and I felt that was a great help to me. He explained everything clearly and made sure he knew what I wanted from rcc.

New teacher. Very energetic but its a cover for skill. He does not know the material fully just yet and seems like he wings the lessons. He sometimes treats students like if we were in highschool still and he gives too much importance to irrelavent assignments.

He is a really cool Teacher he's energetic, understanding, helpful, funny, and he will not let you fall asleep!!He knows what he is teaching and you can tell he believes it. He is also a counselor and the puente guidence teacher. i took two of his classes and have no complains.For the tests he gives you the Study guid so thats really cool.

Even though he has an accent, he is a Very Good Counselor. offers a lot of help. Sits with you patiently and answers all of your questions.

Mr.Soto is really great professor. He lets you know you to survive in this crazy world and how to take responsibility. Anything that you do in this class he relates it to a real life situation. This class isn't hard at all just do the work and Study the study guides given.

I am glad that i had this instructor. Mr. Soto is a wonderful professor. He can be tough on you(he was on me), but he knows it's for the best. He teaches you the basic fundamentals in life and tries to help you apply them to yourself. Take the class and the subject seriously, it will benefit you and give you a different and better outlook on life.

Mr. Soto is quite a character. I honestly believe that he cares WAY TOO MUCH. He is an amazing guy! His class can change your life, but you have to put in the work. If you slack off, you won't gain anything. I think that the most amazing part of his class is how he makes us teach ourselves life lessons by interaction with each and every student!

Soto is my ABSOLUTE favorite teacher at MVC. He is SO PASSIONATE. Every class was like a motivational seminar. He genuinely cares about your success. Textbook/class-participation heavy. Lots of hw. Study for tests. BRING YOUR "UNIFORM" OR YOU WILL GET EMBARRASSED. You WILL talk in front of the class, no avoiding it. But it's okay. he's great!

He was energetic, stern, down to earth, and supportive. I feel that most of what the lessons discussed in class will be very effective in and out of college.

Easily one of the best professors I have had, probably ever. He can find the best out of you and bring it out in a strong yet profesional manner. Workload is manageable and not too hard if you are comfortable with yourself. Being social is a must in this class and is actually encouraged, making it a fun and eventful time every class meeting.

Thought this class was pointless, but boy was I wrong. I learned much more than managing my class time. I learned more about myself and who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. He really makes you push yourself to do the best. He might come off as rude, but don't take it personally. Work was intense, but do-able. 10/10 would recommend.

I'm not going to lie... at first I thought this class was going to be a waste of my time, but I was wrong, I learned so much in this class. On the other hand, he is very helpful, and caring for his students. The work may seem as a lot, but in reality, it isn't, he's just preparing his students for reality. Took GUI48 with him, now completed GUI47. I have never taken a professor like him, he's great. The work may be a lot of work if you're not used to typing, but overall easy class. Study guides provided, IF you show him you're prepared to have it. I really reckoned taking him, he's hilarious and cares about his students passing. Great professor!

BEST teacher I've had in a LONG time. highly recommend to new students. such a wonderful person. a little tough but great motivator. you have to want to pass & apply yourself if not he really won't tolerate you NO free rides! final pres. a little nerve wrecking but you'll do fine if you're prepared. He is really light hearted and he just has a fun spirit and tries to adopt it into his teaching. His lectures aren't planned out. Participation is a must. He is really easy to talk to and get to know, and approachability isn't am problem with him. Although there is a lot of work, it's not difficult.
