This is one of the best speech classes you could ever take at BMCC. If you go to class all the time and do well on your informative and persuasive outline and speeches you'll do great. Don't be too sloppy!!! Prof. Blank is THE BEST, trust me on this 1!

Professor Blank is the best speech there is. I would recommed him to antone who has to take speech (which is everyone) he is very humorous and informative about how he wants his work done. Very easy to communicate with (i guess that comes from being a principal in a former life). He is simply the best. TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Prof. Blank is a very good prof. I personally went to his class this semester to let the students know that they have the best. All they have to do is listen to what he says and save their handouts!

I was so afraid of having to speak in public and I knew that this course was required. My speech was great because Professor Blank creates a wonderfully trusting class atmosphere. His comments to each of us are constructive and supporting. Too bad my other professors are not as caring.

He is the greatest professor you will come across. if you're looking for a great class to attened, look no further, if u go to BMCC take his class.

I failed speech 100 my first simester and was avoiding to take it over. I enterd his class with fear and left his class with comfort and smiles. I think I would feel okay to do a speech now. If you are scared of speech 100 please take his class. It's worth it and so easy. You'll see what I mean.

Sam made the course interesting and comfortable due to his vast knowledge in many areas. He wasn't mean but kept you focused. Initially, I did not want to take this course since I already had a few degrees. However, I was able to learn new or wakeup my dormant areas of communication abilities that will help me in other areas of my life. Thanks!

This was my 3rd time taking speech and out all all three times this was the best experience. Sam Blank has to be the most engaging prof's that i ever had. HE IS CLEAR AND TO THE THE POINT. If do the work and listen you will do well in his class

Possibly the best professor I ever had. He creates a class room atmosphere of trust where students lose their fear of speaking in public. His lectures are always interesting and he relates the material to us. From the start I got a sense that Prof. Blank deeply cares about students and their success.

If you are looking for an "A" this is NOT the professor for you. He is a lovely interesting instructor but he does not give A's. He himself confirms this to the class. But overall, you will have fun in this class.

prof.blank is a real cool prof he's an easy grader.but you have to make sure that u make it to his classes cause the worksheets that he hands out are used on his final exams.about 75%of the final is taken from the handouts the rest is from the book which is mandatory.if you want to have fun and learn his class is the one to take and he doesnt penal

I liked the course, the speaking assignments and the textbook. I liked my classmates, listening to speeches and the class atmosphere. But I loved Prof. Blank, his teaching style, his readiness to help (with classwork or unrelated to the class). Too bad he doesn't teach other courses. HE ROCKS.

I was terrified of taking SPE100, but as soon as Prof. Blank began to speak I felt comfortable and was able to deliver all the speeches that are required fro his class. The class is easy. Good LUCk gettin in his class fills up quick

Dreaded taking this class till I met my professor. He is hilarious and makes everyone feel comfortable in the classroom. Funny guy, it's like watching a comedy program on TV. Very clear on what he expects of you. Genuinely a nice guy. Prof. Blank is THE best. I hated having to take speech but with him as a prof I actually looked forward to coming to class. He is so funny, warm, kind and helpful. Take him, you will never have a professor who is more genuine about wanting to help his students.

Prof.Blank is the best professor ever! He is very helpful and has a good sense of humor. He has his own creative way of teaching not limited by bureaucratic standards. Professor Blank is very easygoing and has a great sense of humor. He thoroughly reviews in the beginning of the course how to gather info for your speeches by using the textbook assigned and with handouts. If you follow his instructions you can't go wrong.

One of the best professor you will have. He makes the classes so interesting. Doesn't feel like a class's you must attend because of the college credit but because you're interested in the knowledge he is going feed you with that day. Relates to the textbook just about every class but it isn't a bore. The textbook is quite interesting.

Had him for Conflict Management - he is a great story teller he uses material from class and incorporates it into his stories and that allows him to pull you in too his stories so that it's easier for you to understand the content. You don't really need the book you use it a few times for HW but I would have gone to the library and read a few pages then read the book. Overall Great Class & Great Professor!

Took conflict resolution last term and now I miss our class a great deal. Made good friends and the professor was the most engaging instructor I have ever had. He was able to relate all of the course material and was very keen to involve us in his discussions. The college needs to clone Prof. Blank.

I became much better informed at how to resolve interpersonal conflicts. The information he provided in class is very useful. Easy to remember conflict theories because of way he taught class interestingly!

His lectures are very fun and interesting. He's definitely a story teller which is also what keeps you interested. He cares about his students and will always be there to listen if you need him too. He will make learning a very enjoyable experience. His homework isn't difficult and you learn a lot from it. I can say I'm good at taking in conflict and resolving issues a lot better than before I took his class.

Took Conflict Resolution and Prof. Blank made the course so much more than an academic endeavor. I am now at NYU and must say I have yet to meet another instructor as dynamic, prepared and insightful. I miss him so much. Wish we could clone him!

The most relevant course I ever took. Everyone needs to how how to resolve conflicts. Prof. Blank has expert command of the subject matter and is the type of instructor that infuses everything into his class. He is funny, personable and ALWAYS available to speak with. Outstanding rating - he is simply fantastic.

More than an instructor! He is a mentor who is inspirational and has the unique ability to foresee issuesproblems we might have. I loved every minute of his class and hoped that he would teach additional communication courses

So there are a few things I felt I learned, but I do not feel like I learned as much as I should have. I still have the textbook though so I can just refer back to it, I guess. Prof Blank is a big story teller, the classes are not boring, and its an easy A. The two papers and group project I had to do were not difficult at all. Sam Blank is nice.

One of the nest teachers i's had so far. Highly recommend ! Makes learning fun and engaging, uses lots of examples that help you remember the material. The book is a must due to homework that is often given. Great teacher!

Professor Blank is a great teacher. All of his examples are thing we can relate to and apply into our own lives. He has helped me to overcome issues that I was having with my roommate and with the knowledge that I gain I was able to save myself from being kick out. If you want healthier relationships take this class. It's worth it!

He's truly best!! He made the material fun and engaged the class a lot; he's hilarious but thorough and direct too. He's always in a good mood and understanding to his students. If you're a communications major you should defiantly take him. I use a lot of his material outside the classroom. I wish I could have taken more of his classes!

Excellent course, excellent educator, stimulating topics, overall a class I recommend. However, he did have a way of making me feel uncomfortable at times. He told me some things toward the end of the semester that I found somewhat unprofessional for a conversation between a student & a professor. If you take his class, keep it distant.

This interpersonal communications class was just great. Discussion were fantastic and the class really jived! Prof. Blank runs a tight ship and his group projects were not easy, but he is a good grader. He is funny and very smart. Tries to make textbook work easy to understand by distributing additional handouts each class. These were neat!

Professor likes to talk and tell the same jokes again and again. It's endearing. If you're smart he holds you to a higher standard and can be a harsh grader. He's not unreasonable though. Throughout the semester he'll choose maybe 3 chapters to assign an outline like assignment. Read those chapters and don't fall behind!

Great textbook plus Prof. Blank's handouts are so good. He recognizes the strength and value of each student and is most eager to enhance our skills in resolving conflicts. He demonstrates clear objectives and project goals and is always willing to talk with you after class. He is a very effective instructor that simply loves his job.

Professor Blank is one of the few professors that Ive taken that seems passionate about TEACHING. He takes the time and effort to help his students as well as provide indivual feedback on papers. I've never met a more personable professor. One who gives the best advice in and outside of class. He makes the material easy to understand by connecting it to situations that we've been through, and is so passionate about what he teaches.
