Older man with a great sense of humor. An easy class with little writing, unusual for an english course. He loves to show movies in class, and has a party in class at end of semester. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Goldstein is the best. He seemed hard at first but he really was easy. He was wonderful. I thought I was going to get a "C" and ended up with a "A". Just do your work and come to class you will have an "A" too!!!

Great teacher! A little kookie but what english teacher isnt? Really easy class. Minimum amount of writing, we watched movies most of the time and had partys also. Plus he gives lots of extra credit so its an easy A!

I took him for both ENC classes. He's an awesome teacher. Extremely laid back, funny and goofy. Attendance is a must (not that class is hard, simply because he is strict when it comes to that). Writing assignments are easy. No tests. Def. a good professor to take!

This class was a tad bit excrutiating at first. The class was themed and the theme was of no interest to me. There was little to no english taught, but the class ended up being a lot of fun. Dr. Goldstein is a great teacher and was very willing to help out in any way he could. Easy to communicate with and understanding. He is a bit goofy but fun.

Dr. Goldstein is the man!! he is very excentric and that is why he is awsome. we watched Pulp Fiction which is his favorite movie and i dont know why. that movie is disgusting lol but i give him props for showing it in class i def would recommend this class to all!!

A very good teacher. He may be weird sometimes, but that gives an insight on the class. It makes you want to learn and pay attention.

Dr. Goldstien not only makes english easy, he makes the time go by fast! You watch a lot of videos and write several short essays. The "A" is handed to you all you have to do is show up ( he is a stickler for attendance.).

Goofy? Dr. Goldstein? Nah... Lol. I looove Dr. Goldstein. We've had parties in class more than once. My only complaint is that he grades pretty harshly - but it's no reason not to take the class. He lets you re-write your papers/re-give your speeches for a better grate. I highly recommend ANY of his classes.

He is one of the best teachers that I have ever taken. Your really can't go wrong with anything in this class. I have recommended it to almost everyone that I know. This class is amazingly interesting and you will learn how many people have actually stolen from Shakspeare.This class is worth the effort. One of the best teachers at the school!

Dr. Goldstein is a great professor! He is wonderful to take for Shakespeare because he has his PhD in theatre, not English, so he knows the play, characters, etc. He's even acted in them, increasing his knowledge of the plays. He is def. one of the better profs. at DBCC-you'll enjoy his class!

I loved this class. I'm a Shakespeare fan and he let me teach Richard III to the class. Great exp for a future teacher. Ask him about it and see if he remembers me. He is incredibly passionate about the material. Goldie rules DBCC!

Dr. Goldstein is a very interesting character. He is an extremly smart man and has a lot to tell you, if you care to listen. I would give anything to see one of his plays yet enjoy his personality every day in class. He is really easy and you learn a lot about plays and movies.

He is a great professor! What a weird but smart man..i loved all the movies we watched...I went for the summer..we watched a movie and had a party...how fun! Take him for a good grade and an easy class.

hes the best!! as long as you do the work you should pass. if you get a ok grade on something you can redo it and get a better grade. hes reallyeasy.

He reminds me of Yoda...He talks a lot from a composition book, it looks a million years old but still reads it like its the first time he's ever seen it which drove me crazy! Tough grader, I got a paper handed back to me with all my I's fixed because they didn't have the lines on top and bottom. God teacher overall, easy class, just do your work!

If you are looking for a fun interesting class I'd definitely take this one. The only problem is he is a harsh grader and it is difficult to get an A. He does sort of play favorites. You have to work hard for your grade and your hardest will probably only be a B+. In order to get an A it has to be superb. Great Teacher, hard grader.

Very easy class we watched a movie the 1st week of class.Hes very dramatic but funny.Has funny hair and always smiles wierd.Lol never the less great teacher will keep u laughing.

Excellent teacher, very intelligent, a bit strange, but it was fun to be his student. Assignments where mostly in class, creative writing on what ever you wanted.

Ok so Dr. Goldstein is a littl e eccentric, but he is an amazing teacher! His class is pretty easy, a lot of writing assignments but they are simple. He loves to talk a lot, so be prepared for crazy off topic discussions. All in all Dr. Goldstein is an amazing professor and you should take him if you can. I plan to take him for shakespeare and 1102

I took this class with no likings towards English and completed it with an understanding for it. There are alot of writing assignments, but they are all easy. He is a great teacher and I would take him again as well as recommend him to others.

Not a hard class. He's pretty open minded and loves to talk about certain topics. The class was wild and fun. There were a lot of essays to write but they weren't that hard. Just make sure you know how to spell, that's a must for this class (bring a dictionary He's funny too! Simply the best English teacher ever! Take him you'll learn a lot!!

I highly recommend this class! Prof. Goldstein is a bit quirky, but an outstanding teacher. there are lots of assignments, but he's very fair as long as you follow his criteria.

Goldstein was great! Before his class i hated english. I especially hated essays! My essay scores for the SATs were at an extreme low! However, Goldstein teaches you how to write a great essay and make it fun while writing it. I finished the class with an "A" and great writing skills.

haha wow i honestly had a great time in this class. Goldstein will keep u laughing the whole time w/ his quirky manners and weird jokes/movies. He'll make this class interesting for everyone, even if they're not into english. Just show up to class everyday, DONT BE LATE, and beware of typos or spelling errors on your papers. Easy A. :)

Expresses a great "interest" in the topic. Not what i expected at first, but i've really come to enjoy him and his class. O and its really easy.

Professor Goldstein is amazing, he teaches you without you learning. I'm not that good with english, but professor goldstein helped me out a bit whenever I had a question and helped me get that A! His classes are amazing! Take professor goldstein if you want to have some fun and learn a ton of stuff without knowing it!

dr. goldstein is a great teacher. i highly recomend taking him for all english classes. the text book is rarely used so i wouldnt buy it. he is funny and movies are a huge part of his class. take him.

Amazing teacher, if you need to take a humanities credit take his shakespeare class. He's hilarious and as long as you read the sparknotes you'll do great. He'll work with you if you have a questionand his assignments are always clear. ☺☻☺☻☺☻☺

I really enjoyed taking Dr. Golsteins' class, but I will say when I first met him I thought this class was going to be a real drag. He does not tolerate bad spelling-{LOL} which is my fortay, but he will work with you by allowing you to correct your papers. I found Dr. Goldsteins' class quite enjoyable and recommend this class to all students.

He was a cool guy, he sounded like Andy Rooney off 60 Minutes. There was a 300 word paper due once a week and we watched a lot of movies.

Dr. Goldstein is a great teacher and would of taken him for ENC1102 if he was available. It's not that he doesn't like giving A's, he does have you work for them. He provides positive criticim which enables you to become a better write. Hes and actor and becomes very dramatic in whatever he reads. Overall he is a good teacher. Highly Recommended.

people are nuts! hard he is the easiest teacher i know! u cant not get an A in this class! or 1101! i mean seriously if u get less than and A your an idiot cause his assignments are simple. and he gives u plenty of chances for a full letter grade of extra credit. i showed up to 3 english club meetings that takes a full letter grade up , rewrite=EC!

Goldstein is an awesome professor! He does not give out grades, you have to work for them. He does give plenty of opportunity for extra credit, and lays out his requirements on the first day. Which he will gladly remind you of on a regular basis. He has a dry sense of humor, so don't be sensitive.

Goldstein was one of my first teachers in college and after 4 years of taking courses he is still my favorite, looking back. He is not an easy grader but you will definitely learn how to write in this class! He will give good grades when they are well deserved. He has a great but twisted sense of humor too.

He is a fun teacher. For the midterm and final he gives you all the questions and answers, so buying a book is not needed. Even though everything he says is not all on the tests, they are short tests, just memorize!! You watch films every class and then write five things about it. That is your grades. Come to class everyday and on time. Nice guy!

Dr. Goldstein is a blast. He has a quirky sense of humor and keeps the class interesting. He is very helpful and gives you a few options for extra credit.

He is great man! Funny! I took the Shakespeare class with him. It is his element. He breathes Shakespeare and he definitely knows his stuff. Every 2-3 classes we would watch a film of the play we were studying for 1-2 days. His grading is a little tough, but he even let us talking during the written midterm and final. Good and funny instructor.

There's no way to go wrong with Dr. Goldstein. He's amiable, funny, helpful, extremely knowledgeable about what he teaches, grades forgivingly, and offers a boatload of extra credit to boot. Do yourself a favor and take a class with him if you can.

Dr.Goldstein is a wonderful professor! He allows you to re-write all of your papers for extra credit and expects you to work for an "A" in his class. He hates tardiness and absences. He is not a "difficult" teacher, unless you're a slacker. If you turn in all of your assignments and you actually try in his class, you will get an "A".

His saving grace is that he lets you rewrite any paper you get less than an A- on. Disscussions are a regualr. Never once opened my book but he assigned writing assignments constantly.

Intro to Composition was one of my favorite classes of the semester. Dr. Goldstein is a fantastic, humorous, and very helpful professor. If you enjoy writing, you will love this class. I highly recommend taking this course.

I loved Dr. Goldstein!! He makes class interesting with all his jokes. We wrote very few lengthy paper, besides the final paper. Every paper assigned had a clear topic with a minimum of 100 words. Super easy! I did not have any problems receiving an A on every paper. Just do the work and turn them in on time. I would definitely take him again.

Goldstein is my favorite professor. He is super funny and kind. Just show up, turn your assignments in and you'll be fine. I took him for ENC1101 and LIT2000. He is amazing and he has English Club , you watch all these classics and at the end of the course if you need EC and went to any of the club meetings you write 2 paragraphs and BAM . EC !!

By far my favorite professor! He is supper funny and kind hearted as long as you just show up, and turn your assignments in you'll be fine. I took him for ENC1101 and would take him for ENC 1102 if I could.

Loved Mr. Goldstein! I may be biased because he had a soft spot for me but I thought he was a great teacher! He always made funny jokes and was willing to work w/ people who needed it. Just DONT BE LATE. He doesn't like that! But there were a few people in my class he accommodated that told him from the beginning they would be coming from work! :)

My favorite professor I have ever had. I would take his class over and over again. He has a bunch of small papers that are handwritten. Near the end you can rewrite your papers for a better grade. He is hilarious an amazing caring guy.

Professor Goldstein is awesome! He really teaches you so much about writing and grammar that you probably dont know. He is funny and sarcastic and fun to be around. You write at least one paper per class, but it usually only has to be 100 words. He also doesnt give tests but we have parties! Hes one of the best professors Ive had.

By far my favorite professor at Daytona State. Hes hilarious and his class is almost never boring. Hes also very caring and helpful. I felt like I could go to him for anything.

Good professor, he's pretty funny. The only thing I didn't like was how boring the class was. Many days he is just reading from from his notebook. Sometimes had class discussions. Still a pretty easy A as long as you do the assignments which are pretty easy.

I've taken professor Goldstein twice and he is by far my FAVORITE professor. He's so good with his lectures, so understanding and his class is not hard whatsoever. Such a funny, entertaining, sweet and caring professor. He's also easy to reach when I've contacted him. I definitely recommend you take him.

My first college courses were with him. Took ENC 1101 1102 in '08, as they were required for Associate degree. Funny humor. I am finishing my 2nd Master degree (MBA) this summer and I still remember to this day the poem Ozymandias and reciting for class for extra credit. glad to see he is still teaching. One of my favorite professors at DBCC/DSC.

Dr. Goldstien's class will be memorable! Do not miss it!

If only I could take another course taught by Professor Goldstein before I graduate! He is hands down one of my favorite professors here at Daytona State. 100/10 would recommend any of his courses to anyone who still may need the credits for their requirements!
