I am going to take him for any other classes that I have to take that he is teaching. Take his class. You won't regret it.

Sam is the best professor I've had, bar none. I took this course many years ago and didn't do too well because I didn't understand the material, but Sam explains it in a clear, concise manner. His classes are fun and he makes you want to be there.

Sam is a great teacher. This class is quite difficult, I recommend studying a lot. But, the subject matter is very interesting and will make you look at life and others differently. Excellent class!

He graded the discussion topics and essays fairly. A fun class

intro to psych...we did lectures with powerpoint, but to pass the test, you have to read the chapters as well. good interesting class. teacher is more than fair and helpful

Very helpful, and a fun class took it in the summer mornings and still managed to stay awake because of his neat little stories =) Highly reccomended teacher!

I would enjoy hearing the professors comments and feedback on the discussion both individually and as a group.

The class was clearly outlined and manageable over the 10 week period. Mr. Govea was helpful when I had issues and his silhouette for his profile picture is rather charming, if you like a nice silhouette.

I don't know if i will pass this class. But it has nothing to do with the professor, he was great. I hated the class but the teacher made it fun and was very helpful and understanding. He gives a speech at the beginning on how things never get easier only harder, really helped me with my divorce and helped me get through the the semester.

Great teacher- very animated and teaches well. Gives you every opportunity to make an A in this class with lots of extra credit. His tests are done online and you get three chances. Loved his stories.

This class provided a unique outlook of psychology for me. By giving my opinion on personality theories, helped me relate it to reality. This helped with understanding the material. The professor was always available to answer questions. I appreciate the professor's teaching style. I would recommend this professor to everyone taking psychology.

For examination:he will teach in class but the tests are from the book. u have to read the book in order to pass the test.

Straight forward on-line class. Read the assignments, do the writing assignments and take the tests on time. No hassle class. Fair grading - what you need for A, B, etc is posted up front - so what you make is up to you. Prof. Govea also responds to emails Promptly! sometimes within an hour or so! GREAT class Great Professor. Take the course!

His class is set up in several short terms within the term so if you are not prepared to work as if it is a summer session I would suggest not taking this course.

Easy, I got an A. It was an 8 week course. The chapters tend to run together b/c it's confusing w/ all the Psychologists but altogether it's a well set up class. Tests are fair. Just read and take notes and take every attempt on the quizzes and write questions and answers down b/c most are on test you will do just fine.

I took his class psychology of personality online. It was very easy. I would recomend this teacher his work was easy. I didnt have to ask him any questions. His grading was fair and stayed the same. Easy class you will pass. PSYC-2316 2402 Psychology of Personality

Superb professor, was very helpful. I took an online winter course and I have to say that the course was the best structured online class I have ever taken. The course is easy if you do the reading and participate.

The BEST TEACHER IN HIS FIELD>. JUST FANTASTIC

This class is cool, but its so EXHAUSTING! I took online Sum.2 and you will complete an ENTIRE semester in 3 1/2 weeks. We had 27 assigns+DB and the chps are so long and the tests are DIFFICULT even if you study hard. This was one of the hardest classes that Ive taken it consumes all of your time. You will live/breathe 2316 for 3 1/2 weeks no joke

Took online summerII to much work especially if you wk fulltime.The pt system is so high and assignments worth so little. I should of taken during a full sem. the work is over the top and the tests are mad crazy! You have no summer life for real. The info is exciting but the class is very,very time consuming. I wanted to drop so bad but made it.

Very easy class just do the work . 4 exams open book. 5 article readings with quizes. in each unit there are 4 quizes from ch. readings a discussion board and a 300 word essay. Teacher responds quickly.. Would deff. reccoment i took this class during summer 2 and passed with a B. LOVED IT.

Easy class but lasted only half a semester, so keeping up with the work is very important. The essays and discussion boards were straight forward and fairly short. When I E-Mailed my professor, he replied within 24 hours, and he was very helpful. I recommend this class to students who do well with eight-week-long courses.

I took this class as an online Wintermester. I would highly recommend this for an online or short term class. It was easy to keep up with this on a short term.

Mr. Govea is a great instructor. Responds quickly to emails and is super helpful. On two projects i felt like i was guessing i hate group work online and fast track classes, its unreasonable. All in all, good class.

This course was very helpful, and professor Sam was very awesome. he was available anytime when i asked him any question and he answered my question on time. i go an A in this course. i recommend people who want to enrolled in EDUC 1300, go head and register in Sam class.

I took this class in the Maymester and made an A. There are four exams, three essays, and three discussion boards. Overall, this class mainly relied on the text. I would have rather had more communication with the instructor such as lecture notes and more feedback on our assignments. It is an easy A if you do all of your work and study.

Truly enjoyed the class. Easy to follow. As long as you stay on top of assignments and studying you should do well in the class. Instructer was prompt in responding to questions. There were a couple answers in the exams that were actually the wrong answers. I alerted the instructor who did make the necessary changes.

Very easy teacher but must stay on top of assignments. He replies to emails very fast, he makes his online course very solid. Easy "A" if you apply yourself. His book can be found cheap on Amazon, he is a great teacher. Gives chances for extra credit! Take advantage of extra credit for any class you take.

Best class I've ever taken

Interesting course. Deepfunweird discussions in class. The prof. offers lots of encouragement and extra credit work. Tests were all open book in this class. Sam is very helpful as a professor and seems like a wonderful human being in general.

Enjoyed this class very much! Its a really fun class and I'm sure all who take will enjoy. Just make sure to read it helps so much. Don't procrastinate like I did haha Teacher is a great professor :D

Sam is probably one of the best professors I've ever had. Basically, if you show up to class you can expect to get a B or higher (he gives you points just for showing up to class)! Do online assignments at your own pace, gives plenty of extra credit, and the exams he gives allow 3 attempts (final is not cumulative). Highly recommend his class!

I took this class Spring 2014 and Sam was really helpful, funny and his class was enjoyable. Tests weren't the easiest, but I made an A anyway. He gives out lots of extra credits TAKE THEM!

Professor Govea is very energetic and involved! He is easy to get along with and if you have a personal issues (emergency) he works with you with projects and homework. He keeps you updated on every lesson, so you never miss out. He is an easy A if you actually listen and participate! Easy on the eyes too! ;) Highly recommend! :)

Awesome, awesome professor!!! Grading criteria is very clear. If you do the work and read you will get a good grade. Don't read and rush through it you will get a bad grade, simple as that.

Very reasonable grader, with a perfect blend of good work that's manageable and challenging. Extra credit is something he offers and his ability to give students every chance to succeed is why anyone looking to do psych should take him

This is a good class to take with this instructor. He goes by the syllabus and deadlines set. If you do all the assignments on time, you are sure to pass.

Sam is awesome! I've had him as a professor for a previous class and I 100% recommend him to anyone. He is outgoing and easy teacher to talk with. Just take notes, do the quizzes and test on time and extra credit and you will pass easily.

This class was very straightforward. I had basically zero interaction with the professor once the class began, but I didn't need any. The syllabus was clear, the assignments and deadlines were clear, it was totally possible to work ahead for most things. Just read the book, take quizzes and tests, do a couple of essays, and some discussion boards.

Professor Govea is a wonderful Professor. He genuinely cares about his students and will answer any emails that you send within a few hours. The course was very organized and I learned a lot. The format of the course was also nicely arranged. I would highly recommend taking Professor Govea for any course he is teaching.

Man Professor Govea is one of the best professors I've ever had! I definitely recommend his class. He wants everyone to succeed so he will definitely help you if you ask. He's so nice and full of energy during lectures he breaks down the material so that it's easier for you to understand. By the way he learns everybody's name and that's so sweet!

I enjoyed this class! I am a full time parent with a full time demanding job! I missed some assignments and still got an A. I believe anyone can complete this course with a good grade. I think the Professor was fair and a good grader! I will take her agin if the opportunity arises!

I took 2301 with Govea Spring 2016. I highly recommend his class. Every lecture was fantastic and I looked forward to going, every time. He's very understanding and gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. He is engaging and even in a lecture hall with 80+ students he will learn everyone's name by day 2! He's wonderful!!

I take Psy 2301 with Sam bc I take computer science with him already. I am kinda slow because my English Is bad. But I catch up then when I show up in class every time. I recommend people do quiz and test on time to get good grade. And I also suggest people should do extra credit. It help a lot to improve your grade. I highly recommend Sam for Psy.

You will not be bored in this class!! As he teaches he gives personal experiences and stories that relate to the lecture. He does power points and you definitely need to take notes because he does quizzes as he lectures. all the answers are in his lecture as he's going. Attendance is important. Lots of extra credit. Do your work 4 easy A!!

Lectures were always fun and easy to understand, he has a way of storytelling while still remaining on topic. A real funny and enthusiastic dude.

This professor is fantastic. He gives so much extra credit that you can lock an A+ from the first months of class. He announces the highest grades on the tests (which boosts your ego). Do not skip class, he takes points off, which makes sense. I recommend this professor 100%

Tests and quizzes all online not in class, 1 "essay" containing 4 questions, in class participation points. You do not have to go to class but you will be missing your In class points. Very interesting and engaging lectures. LOTS of extra credit opportunities. There is no way of getting below an A in this class.
