Hands down best math teacher there is. If you dont understans mathe he will make u understand. His class is helpful, interesting, and funny at times. He has an accent so at times it may be hard to understand but it doesnt affect the class too much. Test are fair..not hard but not easy. Take him!
He's a bit intimidating, but if you stick it out and make a point to ask questions in class and out you'll find that he's willing to help and can be funny. Fair, but you do need to study your text in order to understand as much as possible. Tests are not easy and not hard either. Give him a try if your willing to do your best and stick it out.
The best and the smartest teacher i have ever had.
This class was a really good intro to math. Just take notes and listen and you'll get A's on the test. He does give occasional quizzes, but they're easy. His tests are probably the easiest math tests that I have ever taken. The tests were multiple choice and you get to use your calculator for everything.
One of Richlands best math teachers if not the best...He is able to explain and apply the mysterys of math using real world applications and the history of math. Calculus isn't a fun topic bet he teaches it in a very comprehensive way....Fun teacher...likes to joke etc...(PhD)
I don't like this teacher, he have an accent and I couldn't understand him. He don't teach enough information about how to use the calculator, and also there is some problem on the homework that he did not teach in class.
Do not take him, everytime I aske him a question he answered with his favorite word "why not". come on we are students and we want straight asnwer not dunm answer.
Isn't it funny that the last two 'posters' can't spell and have no command of the English language? Sam is good, has an accent but uses perfect English, and makes the tests easy. If you do the homework and study-study-study, you will do well. The people that complained in the class couldn't even do college algebra and couldn't use their TI-83.
Nice guy. The accent is not that hard to understand. His tests are not too hard. You will learn something from his class.

Great professor! Tests were easy as long as you study. No surprises at all if you did the homework. The amount of homework was moderate. Even though the class was computer-based and self-taught, he was very willing to help students indivually. I bet he's a really awesome teacher in a lecture setting. I plan to take him for Trig. Highly recommended!

has good intentions. final grade is calculated w/ 4 tests, pop quizes, and attendence. tests are easy, but does not give partial credit. you must write every single step down or points will be deducted. is all for questions, but the class would never get any further if that was the case. be ready to teach yourself.
He is serious about the course and make you work hard. I like his test surprise if not I will not open the book until the test. And most of all,he give recognition if you work hard with good grade but he has to give attension to avarge and low student.
this class was pretty easy as long as you study because most of the test questions come from the book or the online homework. attendance is apart of the grade though..so don't skip class. he also has a pretty laid back personality. i would recommend him for anybody who needs to take trig.
Very rude and not helpful. I regret taking him for math. If you guys want to learn the right algebra, just don't take him. I pretended that he's not there and I went to toutring and it was helpful.People, he is not the only math teacher and there are plenty of good teachers

He is a pretty good teacher. If you just pay attention and take down all his notes, you will be fine. The homework was all online, which sometimes, was a little difficult. The tests were pretty easy as long as you looked over your notes. just pay attention, and its a pretty easy 'A'.
I highly recommend this math teacher! His class was a breath of fresh air after dropping trig once before (don't take R.Esparza). Obeid cares about the success of his students & actually lets you use a calculator on exams. He is extremely fair in his grading.

He loves international smart students. He doesnt like average hard working students like me. I passed the class with a B. But if your not a math magician and not an international student, then dont take him cause he wont help you at all. His test are not that bad, but he is very very picky on showing your work even if its a multiple choice test.
I liked him for the most part. He explains things, and trys to help everyone. He does tend to attach himself the the international students. I made a C in his class. The tests are both multipule choice, and show your work (the SYW is where I messed up.) I suggest you take him, fairly easy and nice. He does like the smarter students out of the bunch

Math 1325 was easier than the second part. He preferred the smarter students and tend to scold students as well. Take him if you can put up with being put down a lot if you dont understand.

Attendance is a must, tardiness and leaving early count too. He does not dismiss early. He talks down to students. I would never recommend this person. He does not review for exams. A student had a problem w/the online homework and he replied back "oh well" and explained it was too late for him to do anything. Great Attitude for a teacher.
hes quite hard. no test reviews except online quizes, homework, and personal notes. requires all test problems to be worked out completely or no credit(including mult. choices). sometimes even give student that dont understand a hard time. Overall, very smart professor....and difficult.
I took him for college algebra, precal and cal I.... He is a very good prof. You just got to do ur homework, bc 90% of the exams are coming from the homework or homework pattern, so if u do it, u will make atleast 80 or above... I recommend him to any student, but you have to know you college algebra to do good...
Took him for college algebra. He is a sharp smart turkish guy with an accent. He knows what he is teaching bc hes a doc. He is a little tough to understand sometimes and may not understand what ur asking. he counts off for attendance. u hav to show ALL work on tests. but he is funny and can be nice if u show respect. good guy. a real chalengng clss
He is so picky with test answers, he doesn't give 1/2 of the grade for half of ur answer..it must be a complete answer..he doesn't matter!..He is not helpful...no reviews, no extra points..nothing..Attendence worth 3.45 each class..you can't leave early or it will be an absent...This teacher suks!!!!!!!!!! do not get him no matter what you do!

This teacher was great. He was very easy to understand and he explained everything very well. He didnt give reviews for test or for the final, but thats why he puts those problems from the book in the syllabus so you can study. He gives credit for attendance, also gives pop quizes so be prepared at all times. Overall good teacher, i would recommend
Terrible teacher. Bought the book, never used it, its available online. Made my very first C in this class and I have even taken College Algebra... which is supposedly harder than this class. So, sorry if you have to take him!!

I took this class online and it was the hardest class I have EVER taken! The tests are short but extremely difficult and full of surprises. I have no idea how this instructor does in class, but I would definately NOT recommend taking this class online.
I took him for college algebra and trig, he made trig understandable and a lot easier for me to do. His accent isn't bad at all compared to most other teachers, and he has a really good attitude about his class. He's a great teacher but you HAVE to do your part too
Obeid is a great prof. I think the bad comments come from lazy ppl. You have to work hard and study. If you do that he will go out of his way to help you if you ask. I have had to go by his office a few times for extra help and he was always very nice and explained things until I got it. As long as you work hard and are not childish, you're good
Im pretty good at math so it wasnt THAT bad. Pretty clear when speaking, pop quizzes r ridiculous. 4 q's and give u like 8 mins to do it. very picky on tests. tests r straight from mymathlab and ALWAYS shows up late every day. attendance is mandatory. if theres a better teacher available, take him. but if not, you wont die if u take him.
I took this class Online and could not believe how much work he requires. The HARDEST class I've taken so far. He does not offer any help and there's all sorts of curve balls on the tests, in regards to the review he gives. I'll simply NEVER recommend this teacher.
I took College Algebra with Mr Obeid at Richland Community College as an accelerated course. He does drop the two lowest homework grades and replaces your lowest test grade with the Final and he will give you one chance to make up any assignment you missed including Quizzes for one day toward the end of the semester put he will give you no advance.
He's a really good teacher. He is extremely intelligent and if you're kind of a smart mouth, he might or might not like you. I always felt that he didn't like me because I always asked him things about his culture. Nonetheless, he is a great professor & very dedicated. His accent is pleasant to hear. He can also be a jerk yet nice at the same time.

I thought his class was fun and not that difficult. He does expects you to work in class and there are some group activities. Keep track of your work, attend class, study for your exams, and you'll earn an A.

Prof Obeid was very friendly and helpful. Try to stay on his good side because he doesn't appreciate rudeness/laziness. Genius prof! Just do your work and find the best way to study your material. He will definitely answer ALL questions. I would take him for the rest of my math classes if I could!
If your major is based on math DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He will grade you in a very STUPID way. The book is useless in his class, not comprehensive, either well explained! Math is fun when is well explained but in his case MATH IS A NIGHTMARE! Be smart and find a good professor!
Dr. Obeid is really great. He is strict on attendance but also likes to make jokes and is extremely helpful. I had another teacher and transferred out because they were doing a poor job of teaching and going over the material. Dr. Obeid has taught in major universities in the last like Texas A&M. He knows what he's teaching. Take him :)

Mr. Obeid is a very smart and intelligent teacher. My only problem with this teacher is that he goes thru the material extremely fast. New section and new material each class period. Homework due every other day on MyMath Lab. Gives examples, but not enough. If you have trouble in math don't take him. If you're REALLY SMART! go ahead and take him.
Seems like he was loser in his academics, taking revenge of his failure to his students, I had him for multiple classes but no matter what you do he won't give you any thing better then "B" I was a 4.0 student until I took his classes. You should be better off taking course with any unrated teacher but him because he is a loser himself.
If you go to the lowest circle of hell, you would still be 30 miles outside of the professor's classroom. He was the worst teacher I have ever taken, and, despite getting every answer right ans showing extensive work on every problem, I continued receiving a low B on every exam. I dropped in order to save my GPA.
Dr.Obeid is a great prof. If you are lazy don't take a math course. You have to study to pass his tests. If you study, do the online homework, and go over the tests reviews, then you will make an A in the course.
I think that Professor Obeid is really intelligent. However, if you want to do well in the class I would advise you to read the textbook and memorize the formulas. In class he doesn't use the formulas, he mainly just explains why the answer is what it is and how you get there, but in my opinion it's better to know the formulas for the test.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He ranks worse than my prof that didn't speak a word of English. He miss graded one of my tests and when I confronted him on the matter he simply shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. He would not change the grade.
Well i just got my first ever F in math class. That sums it up. He does kind of puts you down, if you ask him a not so great question.

Very educated in trig. He's analytical about attendance and he makes it a grade, so come to class. Do mymathlab hmwk and ask questions. When you don't understand ask for help. He is very helpful and very passionate about teaching. You must work for your A but it will NOT be a struggle if you put your best foot forward.

He is really bad trust me, his test are super hard, we were 10-college stud. in class and everyone dropped except 2. Test1 class average was 68, test 2 was 70, test 3 was 74 and test 4 was 80. His grading method is 48% for 4 exams and 16% for HW and online quizzes 12% and final 22% and attend 2%.. Super hard
He is extremely hard, believe me, do not take his class. He is very confusing and his review is giving u 10 minutes before class to answer any questions. When you go to his office so he can explain something, he tells you to go to the learning center.
Professor Obeid is a solid teacher. Expect to spend 15-30 minutes a night doing homework, and make sure to study for the tests. I, unfortunately, didn't do very well in the class, but that was my own fault for being lazy so don't hold it against him. When he's going over material you already understand you can just zone out and listen to his accent
Never in my life have I experienced a professor that is this dedicated to his students. I took him for 1414 and 1316 and ended up with an A both times. I would not say his tests were easy, but if you study and do your homework, then you should pass easily.
very hard professor if you are not already good at math (duh) not very helpful. makes you feel dumb. sit on the Right side of classroom!! i asked if he could reopen homework on mymathlab so i could study but he said it is there, but wouldnt explain how to get to it. takes attendance
lots of homework due every couple of days even thanksgiving. if you ask a question from the test "that's the easiest problem in the world" if you try to record his lectures he will keep telling you to put your phone away. he will take away 5 points from a 10 point question for missing one number or part of the equation wrong. stay away!
I lament taking Mr. Obeid for 1316. Though he is knowledgeable about trigonometry, he is not much help. Furthermore, on a test, he will try to deduct a lot of points wherever he can, especially if he does not like your style of working though it produces the same answer. Additionally, he will never give any extra credit at all.
I am grateful I am finally done with Math 1316 with this professor. I would definitely not recommend this professor. Trigonometry is a simple part of mathematics yet I failed to make a decent grade in this class due to the professor's grading style.

Prof. Obeid is a really cool and hilarious teacher and also makes the pass by fast. I once look at the clock and when I looked at it again, it was already the end of class. His test are pretty hard but the mastery test is nearly verbatim to the test. I believe he is the only trig prof wh offers multiple choice tests but you still need to show work!

Amazing teacher. His tests are really hard; it's mostly multiple choice and part free response but you still have to show work. When he lectures, he would never cut corners and also promote in-class participtation. He would also give us examples to do so we can have a better understanding of the concepts. Usually, his lectures goes by really fast.
I would not recommend Professor Obeid if you are someone who struggles with math. He doesn't really take time to explain material and can be pretty rude when you ask him for additional help. On tests, he will take off as many points as he can for "insufficient work." Everything has to be worked out his way. No leniency whatsoever.
Was really looking for a manageable class for pre-req work, turns out I have to study more for this rather than my core subjects. Too much of homework, frequent exams (every 3 weeks!), too demanding. It's extremely exhausting. Recommended if you have plenty of free time.

Honestly, this teacher is an amazing teacher. It was my fault to fail on getting decent grade because I refused to study sometimes. I usually end up studying on the day before the test, which is a mistake, so don't follow what I did. Other than that, practice questions from textbook atleast 1 hour a day. I definitely do recommend this teacher!
I LOVED this class. You read over material at home then go to class the next day to take a quiz of what you learned, then he goes over the chapter. You do hmwk in class. What I did, was read the online book at home (it has practice quizzes and TONS of examples) then do the hmwk that way I would ace the quiz next morning. Now you're ahead!! DO THIS.
Obeid has been my favorite professor ever. He really cares that you know the material and he listens to his students and does whatever it takes to make sure they get the grade they want to.
this person is the worst on earth. he has knowledge but he doesn't know how to teach his points. he doesn't know how to talk to students either. he forgets what he says after a while so keep emailing him to save up everything in case. he tells you that there is extra credits but don't expect any. his exams are freaking tough so you need to study
Reading the reviews here, I was hesitant when I chose Mr. Obeid; however, after taking and passing his course with an A, I am really glad that I chose him. He is funny, sharp, knowledgeable. Be warned, his tests are not easy, but if you study carefully and do all the review tests, you will get an A.

I have never struggled with a math class before trigonometry. His lectures are not very bad, but they are not very easy to understand with his back covering half the board. I am always confused after his lectures, and i will go to the tutors for help. also, NO EXTRA CREDIT so take every test seriously. Tests are difficult and there are no reviews.
I took the Calculus II and I am very happy that I chose him. I never seen a better math professor at Richland College since I passed more than 6 math courses with "A"s . Thank You Dr. Sam Obeid for your lecture and Online Classes.
Horrible teacher to take online. Even if the answer is as simple as 2+24 you have to show work or he will fail you even if you can figure it out in your head. Do not take him!!1
Hated group quizzes. Difficult tests w/ a 25+ question quiz as a review. Lot of homework. Attendance is a grade. Tests are important, you NEED to at least pass them, or you will fail. Doesn't answer email. Difficult to understand his explanations. You will need to get a tutor, and start a new life in the learning center, unless you are good at math

Best math professor.. smart, organized and funny, not boring like other math classes I had. I took Trig with him and will take him in Calculus. He was willing to help with whatever questions I had & learning his methods of solving saved me time doing other useless methods. You just need to do homework and ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDING what you are doing.

The tests were difficult. They were several questions and they were timed (usually 90 minutes). You have to submit your work from the test within 30 minutes of taking the test or you get a 0. The types of questions on the reviews were often not on the tests.
His lectures are like any typical math lecture, if you take notes, you will be able to do the homework pretty easy with his examples. The online homework didn't seem to go by the syllabus though, for there was random due dates. Tests are hard, but he drops your lowest quiz grade and replaces your lowest exam grade with your final exam grade.

Dr. Obeid is not a great teacher, but he's also not the worst. I took Calculus I with him, and he has a very theoretical approach. So he does not spend a lot of time on actual examples that you will be tested on. I highly recommend Khan Academy (google it), it saved me in this class. He also gives pop quizzes, which I hated.
If having one or two example problems sounds like a incomplete lecture to you, don't take this professor. All his classes consist of him working through a couple problems, with little explanation. I learned a solid 95% of trig content through my textbook. He is a very tough grader as well. If you get one part of the problem wrong, it is all wrong.

Lectures are clear and to the point. He is great at explaining and will gladly help you understand if you ask. He may seem like a tough grader but he just has high expectations. Would recommend if you want to really learn the material.
His lecture style is effective, but he can get messy when there are a lot of things on his whiteboard. Knows his subject well and offers a good amount of time for office hours. He will sit with you and work with you if you do not understand something. Be ready for group quizzes, he gave my class 10 of them.

I have taken calculus classes on at an actual university before taking him. He's one of those that expects you to know the information before even entering the class. Worst online class I've ever taken. Take someone else, you'll thank me later...
Terrible teacher. Worst math teacher I have ever had. I took him for calculus one and he made it unnecessarily complicated. He was hardly ever helpful in office hours when I went to get his help. I took him for calculus one and had to drop that class and am now in Cal 2 but not with him.
I've never done so poorly in a class where I knew the material inside and out. You're graded not based off knowing the subjects, but whether or not the professor *feels* like you do. And good luck finding out why you made the grades you did; the feedback couldn't be anymore obscure.
Overall very very bad. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not student who is not studying or who wants easy stuff. My GPA is 3.93. But I think he has a problem with teaching. If you respect yourself as you do right now DO NOT TAKE HIM. I will hate yourself.

Good math teacher. 10 years out of school and jumped into a calculus class and managed to survive. Do your homework. Ask questions in email or in class - he will answer every one of them til you are satisfied. Funny stories and makes class interesting.
Your grade depends on the amount of work you do. I took him online and didn't do all the homeworks,but was still happy with the grade I got in the end because I did well on the Exams.

This is my first semester in college after being in the workforce for 20 years. Jumping straight into college algebra was much harder than I anticipated, however, Dr. Obeid was available by email and during office hours. He took his time to explain things in a caring way. I look forward to taking the class again from Dr. Obeid to improve my grade.
Online videos are completely outdated and very dry. Do not get me wrong, I love to learn but there was so much work to do. I am a slow learner and the test is 90 minutes long. That is half the time I need to actually finish. If I had more time, I would pass the class; however, some materials on the review is different on the test. 90 minutes long..
Took him online, as flex term. Worst Class I have taken so far. Gives ALOT of work. There are assignments due on MyMathLab and ecampus. Replies to Emails late and doesn't give extra time for assignments either. Would not recommend taking him.
I took his online class which was a mistake. He assigns an excessive amount of work and makes assignments due every day (not self-paced). Also, on most of his assignments there are no lecture videos or example problems so you have to search the web on how to do all the problems (he does no teaching). DO NOT TAKE!!!
Either you have to drop your class or study outside class. I am stuck with this awful teacher cannot recommend him. he is so awfully not organized and do not knows his subject as well. He doesn't teach anything in online classes. but grading is very bad and does not follow a specific standard. Should not take his class.

Richland College needs to pack his bag. He is a racist. He thinks he knows everything and in fact he knows nothing. I have him recorded belittling me. He will not answer any questions. Not one clue one how to teach a class, another human being, or give instruction. He will not answer questions, when asked about homework, tests, reviews, or anything. Tells you to read chapter, book, and told me "Don't email me." !? Really?! And I'm a strong math student. He has a "Top Secret" grading system!

I have to tell you this is a bad idea. You will not learn the material and make a bad grade. He is no help whatsoever. He will make accusations that you don't study. He teaches lots of online courses and I'm beginning to think he doesn't know any of the material himself. Only reason I can come up with as to why he doesn't take questions.
I don't know why this guy teaches so many online courses. He doesn't answer any questions, he doesn't respond to emails, and too busy to care about student's concerns. Teaches too many classes online. Maybe they pay him more to do that, I don't know but he doesn't teach atall.
This man is absolutely the worst human on the face of the planet. Do not take any course with him. You will live to regret it. Great prof. Watch the videos, do the homework assignments, and the test review and you should be able to pass the test. The tests's problems are taken from the reviews.

He does not care about anything going on, if something is due he will make you turn it in that same day, he is so inconsiderate. We had a snow storm and he made us take a test while we were in the middle of having no power.
The power outage during the snowstorm was the kicker for me. What a tool. He doesn't need to be in any classroom, online, or anywhere else.

He asks a lot of question, but give very little feedback really. He has not been very accessible for office hours. Always say I have too many other classes. You must attend class always. The grading I find very let's say questionable. Lots of talking with very little real explanation of difficult problems. Test heavy. Lecture heavy. Overall heavy.

SAVE YOURSELF NOW AND DO NOT TAKE THAT CLASS! His grading criteria is ridiculous One DB that takes up to 2 minutes is worth 100 pts.. The same amount of pts. that over 50 math asgmt. are worth. One wastes much time on those Pearson asgmt. and for him to make it worth the same as a DB is rid. Be prepared to take exams every 3 weeks.

It was a tough class with lots of homework, but as long as you stay ahead of the class you will be fine.
Find another professor. Doesn't teach, so you're forced to read the textbook to learn. Takes points off for insignificant details, and half the tests are all-or-nothing. The exams are long with little time. Also insane amounts of daily homework, even on weekends. Stay ahead, and study the reviews prior to the test. Avoid this class at all costs.

class was the hardest class ive ever taken, passed my other classes but this one. expects you to rely on a textbook and videos, but doesnt work that way for students who require more than that coming from a student whos learning style is kinesthetic and visual. meaning i learn best if its one on one in person.
All of his lectures were from videos from the early 2000's or, maybe even the 1990's. Videos had nothing to do with the homework that was assigned. Quizzes were tough with not enough time, same with exams. No time for other classes when you take this professor. He acts as if there are not full time students in his class. Avoid at all costs.
I wouldnt wish this guy on my worst enemies, had to be one of the hardest/worst classes ive ever taken in my educational career. Youre completely on your own, no help from instructor, video/lectures to rely on which wont help. Tests every 3 weeks that are all or nothing too. Please save yourself the headache and DONT TAKE HIM.
Strict. Tests werent too bad. About 15 questions each test. I took class online. Very strict on test taking meaning you will have lockdown browser to take test which records you audibly and visually, you have to present ID each test, and have to record test area to prove you have no notes or phone out. Barely passed but learned nothing honestly.
Exactly right, you will learn nothing! Very hard about tests, quizzes, homework. That's his only focus.

Obeid is a great professor who lectures thoroughly and gets his point across. Exams make up for at least 60% of your grade. It takes more than just being smart to do well in his class. Studying AT LEAST 6 hours a week outside of class is mandatory to do well in Calculus. It is a challenging class that tests your work ethic outside of the classroom.
I thought I could do this because I'm decent at math. He was the only instructor when I signed up that wasn't completely full. That was a bad decision on my end. This guy is nuts. He will destroy and kind of confidence you have about math. He will not help you understand or learn this math. Do not take class with Sam Obeid.

The absolute worst teacher I've had my entire life. I'm typically good at math and have 'A's in all the other MATH classes I have taken prior to this, he gives unrealistic amounts of homework and provides no resources or anything for that matter. This class was terrible too much homework you had to buy an extra camera and an app to take an exam the days you were free were so few they were listed on the syllabus, due to technical issues I wasnt listed on the class and when I asked for his help he was very uncooperative saying he didnt need to do anything and I had to drop a class I paid for.
Prof. Obeid trigonometry class is a nightmare! Overwhelmed with excessive homework, and he insists on purchasing costly external tools. His unapproachable attitude makes communication a frustrating ordeal. Avoid if possible
Make sure to do every single math lab that's assigned which is almost every day, try to get the highest grade as possible in them since there are 4 tests and final exam. These are what mainly count for the class which is around 65% meaning you can only fail 1 and if you fail more than 1 you might already be failing the course unless you make it up.

I had him for trig and calculus 1 and I really enjoyed both classes. His lectures are very detailed and he explains concepts by showing both examples and proofs. His style of teaching helped me understand not just how to solve a certain problem but why a specific method works and how to determine the best method to use. Make sure to ask questions!
I was honestly scared of having him as a professor because of the reviews. But he is so good. He not only explains the concept to where you understand it, but gives you proofs and examples. The reviews actually help and correlate to the exams. He is kind of passive aggressive sometimes, but he is funny.
Math 2413 with Professor Obeid is challenging but manageable with dedication. Lectures are detailed, but attendance is key. Using resources like the textbook and unstuck study for study prep can really help. Just be ready to put in the work - this isn't an easy A, but it's doable.
Avoid his online course. His online teaching style is just textbook and video lessons, with daily homework and no actual lectures. I spend 3-5 hours on study and homework with questions that aren't covered by the study material. Exams focus on memory, not math understanding, and you can't use your notes, despite all the effort spent on them.

Genuinely the worst professor I've ever had: reviews were too easy and barely covered test material, confusing/unorganized lectures, grading methods made zero sense. I dropped halfway thru along with more than half the rest of the class. Honestly, we should've complained to admin about him. Do yourself a favor and take anyone else.
Shows up late to class and gives out unreasonable amounts of homework and his lectures really don't help either. He just explains it one time and if you don't understand it then you gotta figure it out yourself because he won't bother to explain again.
No one finished Exam 3 for plane trigonometry every person in the class failed and im sure we all dropping it. At this point its not on us its gotta be him.
