Mrs.Mannon is very intelligent and she finds the best way to help you learn in her class. Evn though she is helpful you should also bring in a tape recorder because sometimes she goes a little too fast and taking notes is not that easy especially when what the person is saying sounds interesting you don't want to be interupted with note taking.

Professor Mannion made class extremely interesting. Relates all things to the present. I enjoyed her teaching style, intelligence, and hersense of humor, and her tolerance of my very odd sense of humor.

I thought I'd never enjoy this class, but now I actually do. I like the fact that she gives out review sheets for EVERY quiz. True, the lectures are long, nonetheless very interesting (no way you will fall asleep in that class). There is a lot of reading to do, but if you do the reading and go thourh the review sheets you should be fine.

Very efficient and intellectual. Everyone knows her review sheets are GREAT & HELPFUL!!! She can be a bit snippy but none the less, she's excellent

Very clear and clean cut. She is a great professor, and very understanding for those of us who have kids. She never gives a pop quiz, all tests are announced ahead of time along with a review sheet.

Disscussion can be a bit boring if you dont like the subject matter, but as long as you go to class, and participate you should do fine.Ok treacher

She is by far, hands down, one of the best teachers at HCTC. Sure she is pretty. But I had no idea what she looked like before I took her Criminal Law class. I took the class based on friends reviews of her teaching abilities. She knows her stuff, theres no question about that. I advise you to get into her classes if you can, as they fill up fast.

She gives out the review sheets...which seriously, if you study the review sheets throughly and don't pass the test, theirs gotta be something wrong with you. also, she gives you chapters to read...and if u don't wanna hear an hour lecture, READ!! all in all, she's considerate, just do the work, show up, you'll be fine.

Manion was a great teacher. By far one of my favorites last semester. She makes everything so easy to understand and the review sheets she gives you help so much before tests. If you can do the review sheets, you'll ace the test. Just make sure to show up for class, attendance matters

Do the reading and the class is ten times easier to understand. Prof. Mannion will clear up most of the grey areas surrounding topics unless they're grey areas by function and not lack of student knowledge.

Professor Mannion is a great teacher. She has an interesting background and she uses it to help her teach. Tests are easy - she hands out great review sheets that state everything you need to know for the test. She is very helpful if you ever have a problem. If interested in a CJ course definitely take Mannion.

I have had Mrs. Mannion for 4 different classes. She is an awesome teacher, and she always makes you think of the subject at hand. She is also very good at making you think between the lines. She is funny and knows ALOT about the Criminal Justice field.

Professor Mannion makes the lectures fun and has an interesting background in the criminal justice field which allows her to teach this class better than other teachers. The quizzes midterm and final are based on the exact questions from the study guide, but if you don't study you WILL fail. i got an A- ...great teacher!! i love her!!!

She has alot of Dry material to go over, but I have taken every class I can with her, cause she makes it interesting and she gives you study guides with the questions on there, Dont think its that easy though, some can be more than a yes no kind of question

This is the type of professor that makes you want to come to class, learn, and at the same time graduate ASAP just so you don't have to see her anymore! Seriously, I had her for four classes and aced each and every one. The review sheets are paramount, just be sure to take copious notes and you probably won't even need the texts. HOT TO DEF too!

Professor Mannion is an excellent professor. Her lectures are well organized, and she has an uncanny ability to weave relevant examples within her lessons. Definitely one of HCC's best. Not a demanding course, just pay attention and participate in class, read the book, and study for the tests.

Very bright woman, awesome teacher. She is very down to earth and fun, which keeps her teaching material so real and fresh. I would take her for any class because of her attributes alone. Plus I love the field she teaches, and she loves what she does.. so it's a win win !

I've had her prior to this class, as well as another class this semester, & she is a great teacher. She is direct with what she wants & she is very clear with rules & regulations. If anything is to be changed from the syllabus she will inform you. Much better than that ogre Janet Lanci. I recommend that no one take Lanci's classes. Disgrace she is.

Political science class. She lectures a lot but gets students into the conversation. Quizes are typically really easy and the final/midterm were take home.

This is my 2nd semester with prof. Mannion and CJ is not even my major but I love her style, the way she teaches and the knowledge she present is interesting and very useful. prof. Mannion teaches from both her experience in federal LE and background in law as a lawyer so you get the best of both,she is smart and good looking good elect. to take.

Very easy going,keep up on current events though because she refers to them a lot. No homework so make sure you study your notes!! Don't slack because you only take 4 exams...

i was told a first not to take her class by an adviser but i took it any way and found it to be fun enjoyable class she gives you the notes on power point and gives you well out lined study guides READING IS A MUST she doesn't deal with childish drama she isn't your mom and will not fix your misstakes she is easy going and funny i loved her class

She is a no nonsense professor. She is all business and dosn't have time for childish behavior in the classroom. But one thing is for sure, she knows her stuff. It is true she dosn't use textbooks a lot, but she teaches in a way that only a dummy can fail her class. She is indeed the best of her kind. And always willing to help her students.

Professor Mannion is literally my favorite professor I've ever had. I just registered for 2 more of her classes next semester. She is passionate about what she teaches, and has so much experience in all areas of criminal justice. She's really inspiring and has an awesome sense of humor, and it's literally impossible to fail her class. Take her!

Just an awesome teacher in general

I had the pleasure of having my advisor for my program, be my professor. Professor mannion scared me at first with her no b.s persona, but if you are doing what you need to do there will be no worries. She teaches from the book, and by experienced. Thats my favorite part, a professor whom lived what she teaches. Cant wait to take her again!awesome

Mannion went to NYU and law school and has her JD which in itself is impressive. I took Mannion for Intro to American Gov and Poly Sci. This woman is intelligent, strong, and knows her stuff. I enjoyed her lectures and looked forward to her classes. She is also very funny. I admire her work ethic and hope to be as good of a teacher as she is.

Professor Manion is very knowledgeable in what she teaches. Gives a great study guide for tests, case briefs for criminal law are easy the lowest you can get is a 75. Don't miss more than 2 classes study for tests do the case briefs you'll get a good grade.

Prof Mannion is scholarly and funny. All her quizzes r multiples choices, midterm and final r both multiple choices n a couple of open ended questions. She gives u study guides 4 everything. There will b case studies, the lowest u can get is a 75 in those. This is an easy A. You want to learn law she is the best in HCC! Take her you won't regret!

If professor Mannion is not teaching any of the criminal classes i refuse to take them SHE IS AMAZING!!! she is very helpful, her study guides are literally the tests LITERALLY and she tells you too ! Professor Mannion is the one to take for criminal law. Just leave any high school mentality behind. She treats everyone like college students. The workload is fair and easy to understand if you listen to her lectures and take advantage of tudoring for tests. Definitely take her.

I love politics, so this course was a natural for me. If one needs to take Poli Sci, Prof Mannion is a great choice. Also took a Criminal Law class with her and she is very passionate about teaching. One will get a lot out of any class she teaches. The workload is fair and straightforward. Do yourself a favor and take her.

Had her for Intro to Political Science this last semester, there is only two quizzes, and a midterm and a final which are both take home. She talks to the class when you take notes instead of putting them up on the white board or projector screen which is kind of difficult. At the end of the class, she drops the lowest grade which helps your grade.

Act like an adult and participate and she'll like you. She's got a cool and respectable personality. The tests and quiz's are straightforward and there's study guides. My class didn't participate much so she threatened us with pop-quiz's xD.

Professor Mannion is a tough, but fair teacher. Her lectures made the dry material, interesting, and helped put what she was talking about, into perspective. She wants the students to succeed, but you need to put in the work to meet her half way. I highly recommend her classes.

There's literally no reason to take anyone else for Criminal Law. Mannion's amazing and she sometimes brings dogs into class. She doesn't use powerpoints, but she's such a good public speaker that you want to listen to her. My only complaint is that my hand used to cramp up from taking so many notes. Pay attention and participate and you'll do fine

Professor Mannion is great. She definitely puts you up to the challenge and makes you work for your grades but its worth it. You will learn so much from her, she is very knowledgeable. She takes her classes seriously but she can be funny sometimes too :) Amazing learning experience.

This is the second class I've taken with Professor Mannion and while I didn't find it as challenging and enjoyable as her class on Criminal Law, she none the less made it worth while. Go to class, keep your phone away, and take good notes, you'll need them. Two quizzes, mid-term and final, all with study guides, which are helpful. Good luck!

The best Professor for criminal justice. I've taken four classes with her and every moment was worth it. I highly recommend that you take the courses with her. Be ready to write down notes and recommend recording her lectures. Beware she doesn't like students using their cellphones. I would take this Professor again.

Great professor and class... if you're willing to work for it. ConLaw is the hardest CJ course at HCC but if you take notes and READ THE BOOK!!! you'll be fine. She doesn't put due dates out weekly so it's really on you to remember to do case studies/chapter readings!!!

This is one tough professor. Not because the work is hard but because she expects your feedback. If you plan to lollygag this class is not for you. She is an amazing professor and you will do well if you participate. Great lectures.

I have taken professor Mannions classes three times and i can truly say she is the best. If you are interested in the subject she teaches, you will love the class! She is very knowledgeable in american government and criminal law. Participation and class attendance will work in your favor. Highly recommended.

She's tough, yeah, but if you come to class with your work done (she only wants you to read the book - you can find it online), you'll be fine. The study guides she posts are straightforward; answer them like it's real deal and you'll probably get an A. You'll need to participate too. She brings in speakers that are pretty interesting!

This class was more difficult than Intro to CJ, but very rewarding. Only one book is online, you have to buy the red book. Follow IRAC on the case briefs and you'll be fine. Testing is similar to intro. If you paid attention and studied, the final (the movie) is actually fun! You won't pass if you don't study/come to class.
