I absolutely loved this class and the professor. Read the book and study your notes. She lectures a lot, but helps whenever you have question and is available outside of class. Offers extra credit which is a bonus. Super interesting class.
She is an amazing professor. I had a really hard time in the class due to me being a bad test taker. However, if you need help she is always willing. I am extremely impressed with her, the energy she gives off in the class makes it easy to tune in. Make sure you give yourself time to do the mypsych labs, and show up to every class. You'll be good
Doctor Wolfe is the real kahuna. I absolutely love her drive and passion to teach others about her own passion, psychology. She has a great way with connecting one-on-one with her students, even when it's casual talk. She's also extremely progressive and open-minded. I wish more than anything that I could have her again!!
Professor Wolfe was an amazing instructor, I loved her. As long as you stay on track with the mypysch labs and go to lecture you will do fine. If you don't understand something she'll explain it in another way so you can understand. She uses a lot of examples and its very helpful.
She is a very nice lady and a good professor however, you do need to work hard in the class by reading and doing the my psych labs and if you don't have any psychology experience make sure to ask questions if you don't understand something.
Dr. Wolfe is a very amazing professor. Her lectures were always engaging and never left you bored. The tests were material over the lectures and the book. Also, MyPsychLab is required, so you will need to read the text. I would take a class with her again in a heartbeat!
Dr. Wolfe is intelligent, understanding, caring, fun, and an overall amazing professor. She truly has a passion for what she teaches and wants you to be successful both in class and your everyday life. She takes a lot of student feedback to improve her class and student learning. Her lectures are engaging, but there's a lot of material- so study!
Dr. Wolfe is one of the best professors I ever had! I loved going to her class, she is so sweet and cares about how you do in the class. Homework is required but super easy to get done. Her lectures are very engaging. She's there to help if you need it. She does review games and her tests are really easy if you study your notes. Take her class!
Loved Dr. Wolfe's Class! She is always helpful, answers questions well, cares that you do well in her class, and is very good at making her lectures interesting. One downside is that this class uses a Pearson book and MyPsychLab. This means you will have to do online work even though it is an in-class course.
Dr Wolfe is a very caring teacher. She's lenient on the homework and gives you four classes that you can miss. If you enjoy learning about psychology then she'll be the teacher for you.
She's very nice. She likes to maximize time on lecture but she is willing to answer questions. She uploads slides and test reviews to blackboard. If you print those and study, you will get an easy A. There is also online work so i recommend purchasing the book with the code.
Super nice, friendly, and caring! Lots of lecture though! Better than group work though! YUCK.
Dr. Wolfe is AMAZING! Super nice, friendly and will help you when you need it. Gives out extra credit. Print out the slides before class it will help you. Read the book and make sure to do the MyPsychLab it will help you in the long run. I will recommend her to anyone who wants to take a PY201 class just wish she did PY203 classes also.
AMAZING! Dr. Wolfe was so caring towards the entire class. She likes playing games to help you understand the material, and she is excited about psychology which made me excited about it too. She is funny! You will notice she references the big bang theory a lot and she's genuine when she talks to you. Would recommend her to everyone!
Dr. Wolfe is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She's smart, friendly, and will always get back to you. She knows her stuff, and likes to discuss interesting topics, even if they're a little off topic. Classes seemed to go fast. She seems to really care about everyone. Almost seemed more like a smart friend teaching me.
Easily one of the best profs I've ever had. She makes sure everyone understands the material in class and constructs her tests around the topics discussed in the lecture. She offers many opportunities to raise your grade, and genuinely cares about your success in the class and in your life. Very interesting lectures; just show up and you'll pass.
Incredible at explaining things and makes sure information is clear. Unfortunately, she also used Cengage for weekly tests and mandatory flash cards (yes, flash cards for a grade). If you've ever used Cengage you know that this is an auto -1 modifier. Otherwise she was a great prof in every way.
Wolfe was a great professor - she presents information in a way that is easy to understand, and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is on the same page. 90% of the homework is on Cengage/MindTap, and the online quizzes had little to do with our in-class learning. Go to class, do the homework, and study a bit - you will pass for sure.
Dr. Wolfe is a great teacher. Her lectures cover relevant material that is most likely going to be on the exam and if you do poorly on them, she allows for multiple retakes and gives you ample opportunities to increase your grade.
I loved professor Wolfe! She really cares for her students and will answer any questions you have. Emails back fast. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the online assignments, not everybody has time to sit and do cengage at specific times. Don't waste your money on the textbook unless you really plan on reading it but if you take notes, you really wont.
Dr. Wolfe is by far one of my favorites! She is eager to teach. Consistent. Bubbly personality. Very easy to contact outside of class. Course layout is very clear and can work ahead on MindTap. Always look forward to attending her class. Print out your slides she provides for each chapter to reduce your notetaking.
Dr. Wolfe is by far the best teacher in GRCC. The homework is pretty much on Mindtap & you will have a few writing assignments that go along with the chapters (I had about 4). You can either get the textbook online or a hard copy. She goes over slides & gives a handout that follows the slides. She makes sure everyone is on track in the class.
I love Dr. Wolfe! She is one of the best professors I have had so far in the psychology field. She really understands her students. The test is extremely easy if you study. She is really dedicated and shows great ambition. So if you have her you will enjoy her class. :)
SO much homework, if you take this as on an online class. Don't take this as an online class if you have a busy schedule already, I regret it.
Dr. Wolfe is incredibly nice, a fair professor, answers emails quickly, gives you extra chances to get your grade up with make up tests, late passes, etc and uses great techniques for teaching. The class looks like a lot of work at first but really isnt once you get going and get used to what she is asking for.
I love Professor Wolfe. She knows her stuff and teaches things clearly. She wants you to succeed and gives you tons of study material to help you prepare for tests. If I could have her for every class I would!
Great teaching style, works with you to help you understand the material. Incredibly caring and understanding. Lots of homework and quizzes but easy to do. If she doesn't have an answer for you, she'll find it either right away or email you with an answer quickly.
Lectures are always full of good info, take notes and you'll do good on tests. Examples she has in lectures are straight from the test. She's always willing to help and wants you to succeed.
The only thing I don't like it when you're absent for a class, she takes a couple of points off from your grade. Other than that, she's an amazing professor!
Dr. Wolfe is fantastic, really cares about her students. Her lectures support the textbook and she always points out what she wants you to pay attention to about a particular concept. Responsive, stays on top of grading, does her best to minimize test anxiety, makes concepts memorable/relatable, and always honors student questions and comments.
As a psychology major, I found Professor Wolfe to be my absolute favorite teacher of all time. She's incredibly caring, understanding and obviously passionate about the field of psychology. She is always more than willing to go way more in depth about any topic to ensure complete understanding with the class. Highly recommend, you'll love the class
Professor W. is caring of her students and is interactive! She makes learning psych interesting. The only thing I really did not enjoy was the amount of homework she gives. To a point where it was almost unnecessary. If you take her be prepared to work. Besides that, good option.
Clear schedule with weekly homework and discussion board that will help with the unit tests.
She is so sweet! I loved having her as my professor for psychology. She lectures the whole class but it is very interesting and she explains everything so well. There are three assignments per chapter and one writing assignment per unit, but it is all super easy. As long as you listen in class and fully understand the topics then you will get an A.
I took this class online during my junior year of high school and honestly, it was easier than some of my high school classes. She is extremely clear on what she expects for homework and has review guides for tests and the final exam. If you are willing to put effort into this class, you will do well.
Dr. Wolfe is a wonderful prof! She really wants you to learn! This will not be an easy course but it is laid out so it's very achievable. If you do the work, you get a good grade. The test are with lockdown browser, so no referencing ANYTHING! Free textbook. Great short videos. You will enjoy her class. I would recommend her very much!
Great prof. Very understanding. Class is 2 quizzes a week with a unit test every 2 chapters. Clear cut and excellent schedule. Wolfe is funny and caring and I would definitely suggest her as a prof. There is an extra credit opportunity.
Content isn't the easiest by itself but Dr. Wolfe uses powerpoints and studyguides to make learning it much easier. Each chapter has a discussion board where participation was required x2, which helps A LOT with understanding content. Tests used LR browser. Offers extra cred and 3 late passes. She provides good feedback and answers any questions!
She's a kind teacher. While the lectures can be a bit boring, she tries to make it interactive to make sure everyone understands it. She would also have review games before tests. The tests and the reading quizzes are multiple choice and the tests would be based on questions from multiple reading quizzes. There is also some short writing quizzes.
Wonderful Prof. She was very helpful to me when my family member had become very ill. I had lots of fun in her classes, her notes are easy to take and her exams are like the guides. Extra credit is 50 points. Homework is in that good amount and I overall really hope people enjoy this as much as I did!!
Such an amazing teacher!!
Definitely recommend taking her for psych
Professor Wolfe is absolutely fantastic! She provided study guides for tests, made kahoots for studying, and made sure you knew exactly what to study. She was incredibly caring and wanted to make sure you learned something that you could actually use in her class. Highly recommend!
Loved! Professor Samantha Wolfe's class is easy to pass if you make good notes. She is very sweet and lovable. You have to do a weekly reading and video quiz, but it's not complex, and it's online. You can try it three times. The test is combined with two chapters; the questions come from the reading quiz. I recommend using Quizlet.
Professor Wolfe is an amazing professor. You can easily tell hoe much she cares for her students and their grades. Wolfe also offers an easy extra credit project before finals. I really enjoyed her classes and her lectures really made it easy to understand. As long as you take notes during her lectures and study 2-4 hours you will do great.
She does give a extra credit opportunity at the end of the semester and you can tell she really knows what she is teaching about. You can also tell she cares about her students as well.
She cares a lot about her students and is willing to help through anything. Her class is structured really comfortably and no surprises come up. Solid class for anyone.
Professor Sprague has you do the same thing every week unless its test week. You do two quizzes and you get multiple chances to get the best grade on them. You also have to participate in discussion three times a week. On test week you only have to do the tests and they are in lock down browser and if you understand the material you'll do fine.
She is an amazing teacher and wants you to succeed. She provides a lot of learning resources and has extra credit opportunities. Quizzes give you multiple attempts and overall the structure stays the same week to week. She is very knowledgeable about the topic. Great Professor and class, would definitely recommend taking her classes.
This class was over all pretty easy. Their are discussions each week that you must post at least twice. I would recommend reading the chapters first. The video lectures take notes it will help when studying for the unit quizzes.
Dr. Sprague knocks this difficult class out of the park. Every concept is FULLY explained several times. The weekly quiz (25 questions) and every-other weekly test (50) are due Sunday at 1159pm. Be ready to take a lot of notes, and fill out the study guide for the final out as you go. Free textbook. Responds to emails. Great class!
Dr. Sprague is a fantastic professor, you guys. You will not be disappointed if you take her. I adored her; everything was to the point where you could tell she enjoys teaching and is content with what she does. She explains the lecture so well that if you take her, you will fall in love with her teaching. Never had such a fantastic pro as her.
Most amazing professor I have ever had. Kind and caring for students. Her tests and exams are straight from the unit quizzes so study those and you will pass the exams just fine. She has a 50-point extra credit opportunity at the end of the class.. if you put in the work you'll pass but this is a great grade-saver! Would definitely recommend her!
Professor Wolfe is very sweet person. Lectures are very easy to follow and the tests are very straight forward. Professor Wolfe does a great job engaging in the material and knows what she's talking about.
Dr. Sprague is an amazing teacher. She's a very passionate teacher and clearly loves teaching. Her teaching style allows you to soak in the information and you'll leave her class knowing you learned something. Every week you'll have two quizzes which are pretty easy. The tests are also easy as long as you study. I highly recommend taking her class!
Doctor Sprague is a really good teacher. She is very smart and knows a lot. She loves the classroom and always makes it a safe, fun place to be. She is bubbly and full of energy. A very sweet person, never ever made anyone feel dumb for wrong answers or anything.
THE GOAT!!!!! Doctor Sprague is honestly one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. She is extremely caring, frfr, and she is just a super down to Earth person. Would without a doubt recommend her to any/every person taking Psychology.
She's extremely nice and very caring to each student. It felt like she was very down to earth which helped everyone stay together and be on a good pace. There quizzes are pretty easy and you get multiple chances on the multiple choice quizzes. The exam was EXACTLY like the quizzes. She her positive and happy attitude made it easy to pay attention!
I loved having her for PY 201. She is very sweet and has her lectures in high school style power points! She tried to do a lot of fun activities with our class like bear pong (yes thats spelled right- bear as in the animal.) There are weekly quizzes- it's all pretty easy if you just follow along and fill out her outlined study guide she has online.
Literally The Best Teacher You Can Ask For, I recommend you take her class.
I really enjoyed this course (PY 201) with Dr. Sprague. I am not done yet but she has been very consistent and I feel comfortable leaving a review to help others get ready for fall; she's great! Proctored unit exams (4) and a final (quiz question and study guide review will help you here!), open book quizzes weekly. No papers. Discussions!
Dr. Sprague is amazing! She clearly states her grading criteria and follows them exactly. Also, she is very willing to work with her students to make sure they succeed and leave her class feeling encouraged and cared for. Would 10/10 recommend her!
Professor Sprague is the kindest, most genuine person I have ever met. She really cares for her students and wants them to succeed. Her class is also a lot of fun as she includes review games at the end of every chapter. If you have to take PY201, take it with professor Sprague!!!
She's great!! Understood the lectures, she presented with PowerPoint and we needed to write down our own notes. The class isn't that bad unless you don't study and the material is interesting!
Dr. Sprague was amazing! She did a great job at explaining questions and had fun kahoot and other review games for us to do in person. We had a reading quiz and a writing quiz every week, but they're open book, so it's an easy A. Had exams every three weeks on respondus Lock-down, easy if you study well. Would highly recommend her!
Dr. Sprague is an amazing professor! She does a great job explaining the content. Everything is open-note except for the unit tests and final exam. Weekly assignments: read a chapter from the FREE textbook, watch the lecture video(s), take the video quiz & reading quiz, and complete 2 discussion board posts. Reading quiz questions = Test questions!
Very caring and passionate professor, if you participate and do the work you'll do great. Her lectures and review games are great!!!
Dr. Sprauge is a great professor with clear grading and she only uses A,B,C,D no plus or minus which is good because you need a C to move on to PY283. This class was very hard but her grading helps you not fail.
This class is difficult but Dr. Sprague grading system helps you not fail as long as you do the work. Chapter book work and a few longer assignments but really not bad for a research method class.
She is an amazing professor, there are only 3 assignments a week which is awesome, plus there are no essays and she gives you worksheets that are optional as well as study guides and a Kahoot to study before exams. you can also do the work in advance. easiest class I've ever taken. choose her over other professors.
Super understanding, great class environment: kahoot and games for review, perfect load, clear expectations, great communication. Hybrid course. Every wk: 5 questions, paragraph on two topics, 3 attempts 25 questions.(avg. of 3 hrs) The test questions are taken directly from the quiz questions and everything is multiple choice. Great Professor!!
She was an amazing professor and the class wasn't too hard
Dr.Sprague's class was pretty straight foward, 2 quizzes a week and 2 discussion boards then every 3 weeks there was a test. She definitely tries to trick you on the test, so make sure you understand the information instead of just memorizing terms. the tests are just questions from the quizzes which was nice.
I took Dr.Sprague's class online. She provides you with plenty helpful videos for each topic making it easy to learn. There were two quizzes a week, two discussion boards, and every three weeks there was a test. No essays and provides each unit with a Kahoot. This was one of the easiest classes I have taken, I definitely recommend taking her class.
I absolutely loved Dr. Sprague! She was clearly passionate about psychology and wanted us all to succeed. Very approachable and down-to-earth, posts all her lecture slides to Blackboard, and our weekly quizzes were exactly like the tests. Would give her more than 5/5 if I could.
She was decent, overall. Not one of my favorite professors, but that's solely due to content; it was an extremely boring class.
She was the best professor ever! Made homework and psychology very easy and fun to learn! She is very engaging with her lectures and has games for every review before tests! She's like an high school teacher You will love this class
Dr. Sprague is an awesome professor! I loved having her and I think all professors should be like her!
Dr. Sprague is a fantastic professor. She provides all the tools you need to succeed and is great at responding. She truly wants you to do well and does a great job at breaking down the material so it's easy to follow. My advice: watch her lectures, read the material, and use the study guides.
Fun class, good professor, difficult but engaging material and project
Perfect teacher for a psychology course! She's highly educated and knows just how to get the information to stick. She gave us tons of resources for studying as well as lecture videos. She also responds quickly to emails.
Amazingly easy class, taking notes w/her was effective. tests are multiple choice with few written questions. Peer reviews, lots of reading, can slide by if you just pay attention. She is lovely, funny, and engaging. Study review games are fun and helpful. Xtra Credit will save you. Attendance counts no makeups. Kahoot helps SO MUCH & studyguides
Dr Sprague's teaching style was not good for an online course. I found the due dates for everything (Wed, Fri) to be really obnoxious. Every other online course has stuff due on Sundays. Heavy on quizzes and tests, however the test uses the same questions as the quizzes so study using those and not her study guide!
