A bit of a feminist and her off-the-cuff comments show it, sometimes putting the males in the class room in an awkward position. She's okay, but not too helpful during office hours and a bit condenscending at times.

A good teacher, but sometimes boring.

She gives the class an outline, to follow her as she gives her lectures. Sure she goes off on tangents most of the time, BUT if you follow the outline, then you shouldn't have a problem. I got an A, by studying the outline and taking good notes.

She's not bat at ALL, guys. Great sense of humor. Just pay attention, stay with her during the lectures, and really study class notes before exams (they tend toward the obscure) and you'll be okay. Also, do your map project on the computer.

this class is to hard for a 100 level course. boring lecture appears to waste time. fun mapping project she should come up with other activities to make the class fun. learning is fun when teachers make it fun. In this case the class is a waste of time and boring. she needs teaching techn

If you follow her study guide she gives you and pay attention you can at least get a B Also she can talk fast so buddy up with someone on notes or if you type fast bring a lap top. Over all a fun class and not too boring plus I knew where Sumatra was before the tsunami hit thanks to her class.

She is not hard, you just have to pay attention and duh she talks a lot it is a lecture class. It is interesting finding out there is more than the U.S. Read her outline and go over it, worst you can do is a B ;)

To get a good grade in her class you really need to study the study guide. You just need to go to class and take notes and study the study guide and you'll be fine. You don't even have to buy the book. All the material you need is in her lectures and study guide. She's boring but she'll let you leave class early.

Don't buy the book, it's a waste of money. You just really need to study the study guide that she gives to you, which is an outline of her lecture. And go to class to take notes and watch the videos. Every thing needed to know for the tests is on the study guide already.

Just like other people said dont buy the book. It is the biggest waste of money. I barely read if at all and i really only used it for the maps that she gave before each test. BUt dont buy them. But her study guide is pretty much where she gets the test questions from. So if you study the study guide and your notes from class you should be good!!!

Yes its true all you need is the study guide and notes to pass the class, and an atlas if you have one to do the homework. If your not interested in the topic the class will be boring, however she is funny and you learn so great stuff so its worth it to stay awake!

This teacher is funny and nice. You should take her! You would be able to pass the class as long as you study the notes she has and take notes. Pay extra attention to her lessons and you will do good.

I loved her class and I learned a lot of info that I still keep with me. The lectures are fast but valuable. There are 4 tests based directly on the lectures and study guide. Take good notes and don't bother reading the textbook. One fun map project. I took detailed notes and studied them a lot before each test and got an A. Ignore her liberalness.

She is a great teacher. She knows what she is talking about and she is very sympathetic to ethnic students. If you show up on time and participate in class you will be a okay. She is a femenist though so if you're a male shovenist watch out.

She is a very intelligent woman. She knows her facts and is very interesting all the time. If you actually want to learn some interesting things, take this class. It requires you to do a little studying, but it is really rewarding. I actually learned so much from this one class. Im happy..and you dotn even need to buy the book!!!! Money saverr too!

She is a cool professor. There are 3 exams, a final and a project in this class. The exams are straignforward but you do have to study the studyguide that she provides. The exams can be hard to pass if you don't study. Overall she is a good professor.

SHe made the class interesting and fun to attend. At first I thought this would be a boring class and I would not want to go but it ended up being my favorite I learned a lot and the class was pretty fun. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!!!! The class is a easy B you have to work a little for and A. But I would recomend this class to anyone.

She is a great professor that is willing to help you if you need any assistance. She is really passionate about what she teaches and is very open minded to various cultures and religions. Shes great.

I expected her liberal rantings to be a lot worse according to the people here, but she seriously only went off like three times the whole semester and never for even five minutes at a time. Her lectures can get boring, but she has loads of good anecdotes and shows Michael Palin travel vids. Never used the book. Everything from lectures.

Lectures the whole time, tries to make it fun by throwing in some fun facts but at times it does get boring. Never used the book. 4 tests, no midterm or final, 50 point map project and easy maps to fill out. Make sure you go to class, take down notes because the tests are off the lectures and the study guide.

Book is a waste of money.Make sure you show up, you are not a Republican, do the stuff on time and write down as good notes as you can, along with the syllabus. Excellent teacher!!! Very knowledgable!! But it is good to go to class, because everything she tests on is from her lecture notes!!! You don't even need the book!!!

Yes what the comments said earlier are true. She can come off as very out there with her opinions, but it does make the class interesting. Just study the study guides and you should do okay. And the map project is fun, easy points

Its an alright class, if you really want to know where things are you should take it! Lectures could get boring at times but study her study guide and you should do fine

I am speaking for myself and I had fun. The students were active and she was nice. Its not hard at all. only 5 countries you study and its interesting to hear some of the things going on in the countries. I like it. you are your own judge.

Need to attend class bcuz the test questions come from her lectures and some of the study guide she gives u.(no book at all) Overall the class wasnt bad, learned lots of new things like india moves about 2 inches into asia every year, etc.

Overall, this is an easy class. Its about as hard as a middle school class. The only homework is matching numbers to places on a map (very easy). You have to buy the outline for all of her lectures for a couple bucks, but with that, you really don't need to take many notes. Just go to class and you'll do well. Oh, and she's a HUGE name dropper

Use of the textbook is completely unnecessary, as long as one acquires the outline. Professor Kadar's lectures are very interesting (if the subject is of interest) but not necessarily crucial for the four exams (which includes the final). She does play favorites, but it's an easy class for those who demonstrate some sort of knowledge.

She plays favorites but if you're one of the favorites, it's not an issue. Haha. Her lectures can be boring at times but she tries not to bore you. She takes participation seriously and wants you to be there. Her assignments aren't hard and she is a fairly easy grader. Recommended overall but more for those who have high interest in geography.

Her lectures can be interesting and she can have some pretty true things to say about society. Just study the outline she gives out and you'll do perfect. My problem was keeping interest becuase I kept getting distracted by doodles in my notebooks. But that's my fault.

SHE IS AWESOME!! yes, she can seem intimidating cause she is tall. but she is not. she is very motherly once you get to know her. she tries to help students get interested in geography by making it seem fun and there are few jokes here and there :) def easy class to get a B. no need to study just pay attention to lecture and do the maps. got a B.

Really interesting class, she can be intimidating and does tend to pick favorites but she is a really good teacher and as long as you study the review packet that you have to buy for like $3 and pay attention you should easily pass the class. Don't by the text book, its pointless.

Do NOT purchase the text book. We did not use it at all. All you have to get is her study guide. Her study guide is the ONLY way to pass the class. All of the test questions come out from there. I truly enjoyed Prof. Kadar. She is a brilliant woman who is very interesting to listen too. I would advise anyone to take this class. She is very tall.

Very intelligent and opinionated, which is great. She'll say you need the textbook but DO NOT BUY IT. I never once opened it. Must go every class and pay attention, it's not an easy A. But she grades fairly. Very interesting you'll learn alot. She is overall a great professor!
