I took his calc class and his 195 class as well. He's a little hard to understand but he's willing to help the students. He's a great prof, i hate math but i passed with good grades because of him! i highly recommend

This professor is very helpful and pretty easy. Some of the test questions are almost the same with his notes. Just pay attention to the class and review your notes before each test, and then you will have a good grade.

This guy knows his stuff. The work is pretty much out of the book and attendence is recommended if you don't understand the book or have one. Pretty straight forward and easy. Definitely recommend his class.

Very good prof- explains everything and goes over everything you need for the test, plus gives handouts which cover everything you need to know. Also, tutoring available- this prof. goes out of his way to help you understand the material. Highly recommended

One of my favorite professors! He teaches very effectively and I am very glad I took his class. There is a way to make math easy and he does it. Everything is very straightforward and he gives you a review sheet for the exams so you know exactly what to expect, lets students retake tests they failed- he really wants you to do well!

He is very helpful and he makes sure all the students understand. He gives practice test prior to the tests. He also gives make up tests for those who didn't do good. Very easy going person. I highly recommend this proffesor if you really want to understand math.

GREAT Prof!! Highly Recommend! Calculus 2 is hard but he makes life ealier. He writes everyone on the board. Crystal clear and well organized, MUST copy down (helpful). Easy tests and 2 take home exams. Also nice person that helps a lot after class. He's funny too! TAKE HIM!!!

He has an accent, but it is easy to understand. He is fantastic. He talks down the difficulty of the work and makes it simple to understand. Assigns homework from textbook, but doesn't require you do it, but doing it will ensure you a good grade. All you have to do is pay attention and do the work and you'll have no issues.

Easy A class if you pay attention to what is said, train and have notes for the exxam. He does allow being late and doesn't really care if you show up or not, all you need is to do good on all the tests and your final. BTW, he allows one paper with formulas for the Final. Good luck!

I loved Darwish's class.It was difficult, but he made it worth the grade. his classes are always wait listed, so make sure you sign up early!!!

Pay attention and take good notes. Everything he does on the board will be on the test. Do not play with your phone in class, he doesn't like that and will not help you if you ask questions.

you don't even need a text book. He explains everything so well. No homework is graded, but you better do that for your own sake. 5 tests and 1 final, that's all. Make sure to come to class, you'll get an easy A

The best professor ever. A real professor not only teaches but also inspire the students to do better in the subject and LIFE. I am a better person because of this guy. That aside, I never really needed to open the book. Take good notes do the Hw he assigns and you will get an A. Again copy everything from the board... that will save you lives..

Took Cal for Management with this Prof Darwish. He is really awesome and helpful! He explains things so clear and would accept questions from student. Easy to reach him for help. I would recommend him to everyone.

He is possibly one of the most smartest math professors ever @ BHCC. Very clear on every topic that he teaches, even though this class is a little harder for everyone. He is a great helper on all the questions we ask him. Math is a pain, but with him, he can make Math more easy for you. A huge recommendation!!!!!!!!!!!!

He doesn't force u to do anything,just need u to keep practicing what he shows you in class,so that you can do well in the test.No tricky in the test,as long as you practice,you're good.He's sometimes stressed out with students don't do the work and don't try to practice.He's always willing to answer all your dumb questions if you don't understand

Very easy teacher to get easy A. He cares less about attendance and its on your right to know what he covers in your absence . He explains in details the material and help students to succeed. He's not there to fail u. He's very comprehensible,however he hates stupid questions that take him in back to mat 099. he assumes you already know it.

Best math teacher at BHCC. I struggled in calculus and would not have succeeded if he had not been such an amazing teacher. he is willing to work with you on any problem you have at the beginning of class or in office hours. a really special teacher! Sancinito should be avoided. I was not prepared for this class.

He is a great professor, teaches clearly and will always answer questions without making you feel like a fool. You must do all the homework in order to practice and learn the material otherwise you won't do good on the tests. He grades mostly based on the tests' results which is good 'cause you will master the material this way.

One of the best professor I've ever had! Competent, knowledgeable and helpful, he cares about his students. All he wants is to help us to understand the material. Homework is not a mandatory, but only if you have no problems with math, however if you are not a Math-God, then I would suggest you to spend some time on it.

Prof. Darwish was incredibly kind and gave a lot of unexpected support. He has an easygoing demeanor and has an affect that can make students smile, no matter how challenging math can be.

he is very smart . he explains very well but little bit too fast ... but he is open to stop & help with any questions , he randomly checks hw, gives similar questions before tests to practice, gives extra points for extra works. if u r not serious about studying then he is not ur teacher. I don't regret cuz I learned a lot from him.

I took professor Darwish for my MAT-194 (Algebra) and I took him again for MAT-231 (Calculus), he makes you LOVE math. He is passionate when he teaches and he really wants you to learn. If you go to his classes and take notes of everything you are good for the tests. He allows you to bring a cheat-sheet for each test! He is amazing!

Samer Darwish is the best professor I ever take at BHCC in a math course, he is very smart and more knowledgeable prof. he is very proficient, through his teaching I made the decision to be STEM major. You need to be present and concentrate on his lecture he helps a lot. I wish if I could take all calculus with him, because I learn a lot from him.

He is extremely fair in his workload. He can be fast talking, but if you just copy everything he writes on the board (even if it doesn't make sense at the time), it is helpful later. He is funny and has a nice personality. I definitely recommend.

Darwish is extremely passionate about math and it shows in his lectures. I would recommend him for people who love math. He is not for students who don't fully understand basic algebra. Darwash is very lenient with his grading though, and if you're putting in actual effort, he will pass you. He is one of the top math professors I've taken. Love him

Great professor, gives out clear lectures and clarifies questions well. He is a very caring and funny person so you'll get along with him really well. Trigonometry is not related to college algebra a lot so watch out. He wants people to pass precalc and go to calc 1 so, he'll probably give out redos for tests if people don't do good.

I cannot stress enough how great of a mathematician this man is. I highly recommend him for those who love math. He is NOT for those WHO DO NOT LIKE OR UNDERSTAND MATH. He breaks down formulas and how they can be applied. I wish he taught Calc II

Darwish is brilliant. I would that him again, again and AGAIN. If you pay attention to his class, you dont have to study a lot out side of class. He is very flexible and easy going. This is one of the best professors I've had so far. My grade may not show it, but it is worth taking his class. He goes over every problem you have issues with, so there is no excuse to not know what you are doing.

We need more professors like Darwish; a professor that truly cares about his students passing. Grading is fair; he works with his students and gives them more than enough chances to pass. Attendance is taken, but it's supposed to help you, not hurt you so show up! Textbook and access code aren't required, but it is really good practice for tests.

Online class, can be tough for professor at times but overall great professor. Light grading, only 4 exams.

At least online, he's forward with what's expected. 4 tests for grade and homework and practice sheets are there for you to learn material. Not most tech-savvy so been issues there but he's trying. Been quite lenient with testing compared to others. Will have to do some outside reading to grasp. Must ask questions in concise manner.

I barely ever showed up on time, however he made it so I was able to learn the material and do great on the material.

Professor Darwish was one of my favorite professors and really reinvigorated my appreciation of math. His grading scale is simple, HWs are there for you to practice, otherwise it's really just a handful of tests. He gives quality feedback on material you give him for grades as well.

Prof. Darwish was excellent. He took the time to explain in detail each topic, refresh our knowledge and clarify questions about pre-calculus and make sure that we truly understood the topic by motivating us to ask questions. He showed how the topics are applicable in real-life.He really wanted us to learn. I wish he could be my calculus 2 teacher

Prof. Darwish is an amazing and caring person. For me, the best thing about him is that he teaches you different methods on how to solve problems. If you do his homework and read the text that he recommends you will definitely understand the subject and get a good grade.

I didn't do great on pre-calc. I honestly blame myself. Not the professor. Ever since I started this course I have been going to tutors every day Monday-Friday to help me understand the material. I feel like I let myself and the professor down. He is not a bad professor but I will for sure take what I learned to re-take. He cares about you passing.

Can't begin to express how great of a professor & person that Prof Darwish is; he wants you to succeed and is very clear about what to expect on tests. If you just do all of the practice homework, then you do well on the tests. One of my favorite teachers, not just in college, but out of all teachers I can remember.

i took mat197 and mat281, i got an easy A, darwish gives 2 part of the test, one takehome 25/50 and one inperson 25/50, total 50/50, all you need is take notes in class or just practice homeworks and thats it. even if you didnt do well inperson test you can pass the class easily, just participate and do online homeworks and get 25/50 takehome test.

Just show up and follow the lecture. Practice the handouts. The tests will be easy.

This class is really easy to pass, his syllabus: 10% just show up, 10% online homeworks doesn't matter if the answers are true or false, 40% take home test + 40% class test = total 80%. The questions on take home test are the same as class test. You can't fail on this class.
