Very nice teacher explains spanish well also teaches SPN1100

EXCELLENT teacher, but tough--be prepared to work. Demands a lot, but is always willing to do whatever she can to help you. Not a class for slackers, but if you do your part, you WILL learn Spanish.

Ms. Chater was an amazing teacher. I walked out of that class with an acute awareness of French, and a confidence in speaking and knowing the language.

Wonderful teacher--even willing to help during when got stuck with a different language teacher. I've heard nothing but good from classmates and tutors.

She is great. She explains the grammar of the language. She relates it to the English grammar. It makes it so much easier to see how it is broken down. Best teacher for spanish I have had.

Ms. Chater is the best Spanish professor that i have ever had in my life. i have taken spanish before, and her class is the most fun of all. she explains her stuff, helps with anything and she is very energetic and polite. i would recommend her 2 anyone

Dont take other classes with this one! very hard but you will learn a lot! she is very patient and will help you out ( work and grade wise) jsut show her some respect and effort and she will go out of herway to help you

Take her classes, I had her from basic to Elementary Spanish 2. She really cares about her students. If you cant wake up on time she will call your house and get you out of bed thats how much she cares. Do your best, keep up with quia and you'll get an A

Ms. Chater is very demanding but an awesome teacher. If you work hard she will respect you for it. She loves when her students she truely wants to see you succeed.

She is a wonderful, clear teacher who knows how to get the point across. Very friendly, but doesn't let anyone walk on her. Very smart too. If you ever need to learn another language, she is the one to learn from. Has a wonderful sense of humor along with that motherly quality that everyone loves.

She is a great professor. I enjoyed having her as a professor so much i am taking her next level class. She is a bit perky in the mornings but it keeps you awake. If you study and do the homework you will get a good grade. She is an awesome professor!!

Best Spanish teacher ever! ive taken spainsh several times and failed. the 1st time i took her and got a B. She is very helpful and clear. Most pross are 2 mean or 2 nice, but she makes the medium. I just finished her 4 a 2nd time. I think she's the best Spanish professor in central FL.

I took spanish all through middle school and high school, and never really learned anything. After taking her class I've actually learned spanish. You have to do a lot of homework online, but it isn't due every week. There are 2 oral presentations and 5 tests. She is a really good teacher.

I've taken 3 spanish classes with Ms. Chater & she is AWESOME. Covers the material very thoroughly & makes is easy 2 understand. She loves to give bonus quizes on vocab. Study for them, its an easy extra credit point added to ur final grade !!

Shes really nice, she makes a lot of sense when shes explaining things. The tests are hard, you really have to work for your grade. But you end up learing a lot

Very funny. French is not the easiest language in the world to learn, but she makes it fun and understandable. It is a lot of work, but she does not move through the lessons too fast at all.

Mrs. Chater is the best. Her tests aren't difficult and she actually cares. She always makes up bonus quizes when test marks are low to help. I love her.

While the professor means good, she takes her class too far with irrelevent projects and group assignments.The WebCt component is confusing, however she is a good instructor and whole heartedly has the concern for her student. If given the chance, I would take her again.

You could not possibly ask for a better Spanish teacher. I took 2 of her classes for dual-enrollment during my senior year in high school, and I can honestly say I learned more in the first semester than I did in all the rest of high shcool. Very nice, lots of fun, very helpful, very smart. She is easily one of my all time favorite teachers.

shes so cool...definitely a great teacher...very helpful explains everything very well...pretty hard but as long as you do the quia (which is easy you can do it as many times as you want so you get a 100 on them all) then you'll be fine...if you're taking spanish take either her or gonzalez

I absolutely love this professor. She has made me appreciate the french language so much more that I plan to go as far as I can in learing the language. She is always available to help us better understand the material. The class is not exactly easy but you'll do fine as long as you do the online homework and STUDY!

Mdm. Chater is so great! After two semesters with her, I can say that she was one of my favorite profs. She does care about her students, even though she likes to pick on them. Learning French can be tough, but she always made it fun. So often the class wouldn't even notice if she went over time. We were that into it! Sweetest lady, really!

This lady is a great teacher. Like learning any language, it takes time and dedication. You have to really put in effort to learn, but if you do everything she tells you and pay attention when she corrects you, and study, you should get along fine in her class.

I really like Madame Chater. She is constantly smiling and likes to make jokes. I found her tests a little difficult, but I always got at least a B.

She has a strong sense of humor and can be very funny, will often crack several jokes through the course of the day to keep things fun. She can pick on you a little but she doesn't mean it in a bad way. It's for fun. She's very optimistic about everyone. Most work is memorization. Up to you to decide how to do that. Conversing in class is fun.

I came on here to let people know she gives a LOT of work. Tons of myspanishlab, two long oral presentations, weekly tests, daily quizzes. The last week of class we have a 5 page journal, oral presentation, take home test, AND myspanishlab assignments. Not to mention WE HAVE TO STUDY FOR THE FINAL NEXT WEEK. Dont take her if u want an easy A/B.

This professor is amazing. I never thought one of my favorite professors would be a Spanish professor. She is very funny, and really cares about her students. More importantly, she knows how to teach a language so you understand it. Yes there is a lot of homework, but if you study it will come easy to you, and perhaps you may learn something.

Nice teacher that cares about her students. As long as you are seriously making an effort, she will go out of her way to help you. Learning any foreign language is hard, so choosing the right teacher is important. Madame Chater is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her.

"Skaters", do yourself and -of more importance- Mme Chater a favor and find a different teacher. Yes, she will want you to do some work, but as long as your doing the work she if very fair and very very very helpful. Super nice and knows her subject(language) and how to teach it. If you want to learn this is the teacher you want.

Dude she is awesome. Take her if you really wanna learn a new language. She's an amazing teacher and provides an excellent learning environment. There's lot of homework, but its VERY easy to pass it. Some groupwork, tests are pretty easy for the most part, final is an oral presentation. Can't miss a lot of classes or you will be lost but take her!!

Mdm Chater is probably the best teacher I've ever had at Valencia. She works really hard to make sure everyone in the class understands a concept. Class is really fun if you participate. She will tease her students, and I usually hate professors who do that, but she amused me. I didn't want to miss a class.

Best teacher I have had so far! Took her for French 1 and learned a lot! She knows what she's teaching and would go out of her way to help anyone. Very nice and makes the class fun and enjoyable, which is good because it was a 3 hour class. Would definitely recommend her to anyone interested in learning French.

Fantastic teacher! Very helpful. She's there to really teach you french. She assigns a lot of homework but it is all very helpful and she gives you ample amount of time to complete them and offers help. Easy to communicate with. Never misses a class. Fun projects. OUt of all french teachers I have had she is by far the best.

Took the intensive french 1&2 class and loved it. It was a lot of work, but Mme. Chater's teaching style is crystal clear. She tells you exactly what you need to know and her exams are REALLY straight forward--no tricks. She made the oral exam easy too. Class was fun, even though she can get snarky (it's funny). She is definitely a "mom" type. :)

SHE IS REALLY A GREAT PROFESSOR! I WISH I CAN TAKE HER FOR SPANISH 2 BUT HER CLASS FILLED VERY QUICKLY! BUT TAKE HER IF YOU WANT TO LEARN AND HAVE A GOOD TIME AT AS WELL.

Prof. Chater is a great professor. If you put effort into her class, she will put effort into making sure you learn! The class is NOT easy, but she teaches it in a real-world way. I would not have passed without her. I dreaded French before her class, now I love it!

Prof. Chater is a excellent teacher. Spanish was extremely hard for me, but she knew I put in the effort to learn, she went the extra mile to make sure I passed the class, even with a B. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.

Prof Chater is a wonderful teacher. I was afraid to take Spanish because it would be my first college level foreign language course, but she has made this a wonderful experience. You do need to attend, that is part of your grade. The one recommendation I have would be to participate in class, show an interest and she will help you achieve an 'A'

Such a WONDERFUL teacher! I learned so much in such a short time! I think about her class all the time! Every Friday morning we would have a fresh pot of coffee, madelines, and we'd sit back and watch her teach. It was the absolute best! Great teacher! Awesome class! Madame Chater is awesome! There's online homework due every week, and an occasional skit in French, not much to fear if you're afraid of public speaking. She's great teacher who actually teaches in a way that you can remember. Definitely show up for class.

Loved Sra. Chater! Super nice & very helpful. Took her for SPN I & II, got A's in both! She does lots of in-class activities to help you understand. You'll do about 4 or 5 "journal entries" and 3 presentations (1 alone, 2 in groups), but they're not difficult. Online hw is tedious. Posts everything on Blackboard, including grades. Great teacher!

Great Professor! She is super helpful, you learn a lot of vocabulary and pronunciation! Homework is very important in her class, Tests are easy if you have studied the material. You must work for your grade not a easy A. Make sure you study vocab and take any extra credit opportunity she gives. She likes to pick on you and put you in the spot though. Drops lowest test score. Also homework is long and a lot but it helps you get material. But overall good class, forced to really learn the material.

Chaters teaching style is very effective. Really organized and follows syllabus. Lectures are super clear. Use tutors in the learning center if it wasn't for them I'll never have made it. But good teacher but not easy A had to work for it but not impossible

She's great in class, she'll always answer your questions but when doing homework, prepare to rely on your textbook.
