Very good teacher. Very clear and tries to make sure you understand. Tests are fairly easy if you do the work. You must participate or fail.

She does not grade you very hard unless you are a Communication Studies major. Which I am! I would say this class has help me realize that I want to run for Governor of California in 30 years from now! This class has really build my speaking skills!

This lady is great - always smiling and most of the time friendly. Make SURE you understand instructions, though, or else she'll rip you apart in front of the class. Tests are easy, don't bother buying the book, make her laugh and she'll luv ya!

EASY CLASS, but i still really learned a lot. samira is a fun teacher. she has good views and opinions. you dont need to buy the book if you attend all the lectures and take notes. the tests are straight from the notes which are take from the book.

great teacher, but not very understanding in regards to attendance. i received a's on every debate and speech, but due to two absences i received a b in the class - even though i called her to let her know that i had left to visit my father out of state who had had a heart attack. :|

Soo ridiculously easy, just make sure you go to class-very strict on attendance (don't be tardy she'll point it out as u walk in). Tests are all pretty much definitions, i only had to review like 10 mins b4 class and I got a's on all exams. video presentation was easy too.

I enjoyed the class, and we had various group projects that were a lot of fun. She likes to talk about herself a lot, and you must be willing to be interested as she is talking, as she tends to go overboard in her self absorbtion.

Mrs. Habash was a GREAT teacher! Argumentation and debate sounds intimidating, but she made it fun. This class also helped me with my public speaking skills, even though it's a debate class. Exams aren't difficult at all. Just study notes, as you would for any other class. Mrs. Habash is an awesome lady and she really cares about her students.

Mrs. Habash is the least scary professor ever, which is perfect for a speech class. I like this class because a lot of it just involves listening to your classmates talk about interesting subjects. So far this class hasn't been very nerve racking.

I like the class and the teacher a lot. She is really strict on attendance. I was very afraid of public speaking but she made it smooth as butter. The topics and debates are very interesting. The type of test she gives is scantron but you have to know the chapter to get the grade you want. If I had to take another speech class I would take her.

Teacher lets you know just what is expected and is more than fair for grading. If you do the work and its not that much, its pretty easy to get a good grade. Fun class. Good teacher.

This teacher is a great teacher if u want a easy grade in speech. She explains everything pretty thoroguhly; however, when it comes to group projects she is poor when it comes to time management. Basically u will have only but a spare amount of time to set up and become well organized with ur work.

Ms.Habosh is so funny! Very down to earth and she knows her stuff. She will always make time to clarify things if you need it. Show Up and be respectful, she will call you out if you dont.

Mrs. Habash was amazing. She didn't lecture much which i liked. And there were only two tests (the midterm and final) which were both 30 multiple choice questions and not that hard. Easy A and fun class. I met a lot of cool people! Definitely recommend!!!

This was one of my most favorite classes I have ever taken. If you do the work and listen to the debates, you will have no problem doing well in this class. I'm actually taking her for summer. It's amazing. Amazingly long, yet still a great class. She's fun and intellectual. Big on attendance (if you're great on attendance, no final!). We did two ice breakers the first day of class, and debates through the semester. It's challenging, yet fun, and she walks us through everything. Class goes by quickly!

Great teacher but very big on attendance,tardy & must have phone off at all times if you follow her rules you don't need to take final. Overall very smart & is always willing to help highly recommend.

What a pleasure it was to be in Dr Habash's summer class. She is knowledgeable and straightforward. The first week was basic information, and then the rest of the class there were debates.

I recommend Habash highly for SPEECH 30, 31, and 60. She is an outstanding lecturer and her class is a very interactive environment that inspires shier students to open up and talk. I took her 8 week class in the regular spring semester and it was worth it. Her class is easy. Exams(2) are from lecture, which are easy to follow. Debates are intimidating at first,but it gets easier; grading is flexible, easy too. She knows how to prepare you; very kind lady. Final was not mandatory, just attend every day and you're good :) !

I loved her for Speech 60! Very nice she gave us good and interesting issues to debate on. Her class is really easy to pass. Just do all the work she assigns(which isn't that much)and you are guaranteed an A! :)

I took the 8 week version of the class.The class isnt what you probably expect from an argument and debate course. Her class is easy, but its boring. You debate in teams, the only time you debate is when its your teams turn to debate, not a really engaged class if you ask me. Tests are kinda hard.

She's very helpful and really nice I took her for comm 30 you have 3 group projects for her class their very fun and also you have a final paper you have to do I HIGHLY recommended you take her for Communication.

Dr. Habash is a great professor sure she could be a little mean and likes to play devils advocate. Don't be tardy to her class! Over all this class was fun she is nice and funny. I didn't think her notes were dry or boring I actually enjoyed her class I would recommend to take her! Just show up on time, take notes, do your work and you'll pass!

I HATE public speaking, and still enjoyed this class. Dr. Habash is a great teacher and the debates are structured in a way so that as long as you know your topic, you'll be fine. The midterm and final are a breeze. We never used the textbook at all.

Dr. Habash was a little intimidating at first, but she was one of the BEST professors I've ever had. Overall it was a terrific learning experience! Loved the passion she has for looking at both sides of an issue. Be on time and respectful and you'll do great! Also, work with your group outside of class, be prepared!

This class is great for anyone regardless of your major. We took personality test (Myers-Briggs, True Colors), she had great speakers come in and talk about emotional intelligence and different complex situations which arise in the work force. This is a great class and Professor Habash is a good teacher. She is nice & she means business!

Took Habash for Comm 30, 31, and now 60 and never ceases to disappoint as a professor. Very intelligent and loves what she does. 3 debates and 2 tests (midterm and final) and if you have no tardies, absences, late assign, or cell phone violations you don't have to take the final. Gives good feedback, not even a comm major but i took her classes.

Habash is an excellent professor! I took her for comm 60 and passed easily. If you show up to all the classes you don't have to take the final at the end. All the debates are pretty simple as long as you do your research. I definitely recommend taking her for any comm class. Hoping I can take her again.

I took Communication 60 with Professor Habash for Fall 15, and I have to say, I TRULY ENJOYED being in her class. I feel you get nervous speaking in front of people, this is the class to take. Walked away a stronger debater. I highly recommend you take this class! !!

Words cannot explain how much i admire Dr. Habash. Not just as a teacher, but as a leader and even a mother. Every class i've taken with her has been an amazing experience. Wish she taught at the university i transferred to! Clear-cut curriculum but will always help if you're confused. Take her, you won't regret it!

Professor Habash was awesome. No homework to do except study for midterm and final. Three group presentations and one mandatory essay. As long as you participate and show up for class you should be able to earn an easy A.

I have much admiration and respect for Professor Habash! She knows her business, and is more than willing to help you out. I learned how to become a strong debater being in her class. There are 2 test; midterm & finals, also 3 debates per group. I urge anyone needing speech classes to take them with Habash, you will come out a stronger individual!

Professor Habash is the best Professor I have experienced so far. She is fun. The only homework you will have is research for your debates. If you never miss class/never tardy/turn in all of your work on time, you don't have to take the final. There is also no required textbook. 10/10 :)

Took her for Comm 31 - Leadership. Such a fun class! She is very educated and very well-spoken. I enjoyed her class. She does require the textbook and we do use it in class but it's just reading out loud. Attendance matters! Show up to EVERY class with no exceptions and you don't have to take the final. 3 major assignments and 2 exams. Work is easy

Dr. Habash is firm in deadlines but these deadlines are doable! You don't need a textbook, you just need to show up. If I was a comm major I'd take all of my classes with her if I could. Perfect attendance means no final! Also, so sweet and really cares about the students voices.

Dr. Habash was amazing!!! I loved taking her and if I had the chance to take her again I would but I'm transferring to cal state long beach. This class was very fun and interesting and an easy pass! there's no need to drop I promise!!! Just do the work and go to class every day it's honestly easy not so bad when you do what you're supposed to do.

Debates are clear/fun and outlines are easy. If you try, youll pass. Be outgoing/confident from the beginning and you wont feel awkward with debates. Dr. Habash has a clear grading outline. Attendance is a MUST. Do whats required in your debate and youll get the A, even if you lose. Only two quizzes so DONT fail them, study and youll pass.

Ive had the pleasure of having Dr. Habash as my professor for both Comm 31 and 60. In both classes shes displayed leadership on making her students accountable and attentive to the subject at hand. She inspires you to bring the best out of yourself and challenges you to break out of your comfort zone. Taking her will definitely open your mind.

Had this class during Spring 2020. The portion of class held in person was fun, interesting, and easy to keep up with. The transition to online during COVID-19 was the smoothest of all my classes. She constantly asked for our feedback and was extremely understanding of the situation at hand. I did not feel anything was lost with the obstacles faced

Had this class in person, but because of Covid19 had to switch to Online. Professor habash made the transition very easy. As long as you showed up to the Zoom meetings and, participate you should understand the material. Her test and, assignment arent difficult, niether are her test. If you need to take a communication class, this is the professor for you! This professor is very sweet and really cares for her students. At the start of the pandemic she adjusted the syllubus for us and made the transition to online learning stress free. She truly loves what she does and it makes you want to learn.

I took her Spring 2020 class and I really enjoyed it! At first I didn't know what to expect from a debate class and I was scared but after taking her class no one should be! She explains how to do the debates so just follow along when she does. The outlines and debates were not complicated. Just do your work and you'll get a good grade.

Dr. Habash is amazing! Due to COVID-19 we abruptly transitioned from an in-person class to online learning, and she did everything she could to help us transition smoothly. She's funny, caring, tells great stories, and genuinely wants each student to succeed not only in her class but in life. She's very understanding and overall a great teacher.

Two exams but if you have perfect attendance and do all your assignments ON TIME you dont have to take the final and automatically get 100% This class was super fun.

Dr. Habash is hands down my favorite professor I've ever had! She is inspiring, respectful, nonjudgmental and overall an incredible professor. Easy A if you put in the work she asks of you, which honestly is not a ton. We had 4 papers which generally had you writing about yourself and two exams. Havent taken a class with Dr. Habash since I graduated in 2015. At that time I took 3 different classes with her and all were hands down, AMAZING. Im elated to hear that students still love her classes and have learned from her as much as I have. Now as an LCSW, there are DEFINITELY things that Ive taken from her classes into my career.

I enjoyed Dr. Habash's debate class participation, and attendance matter to pass the class. There are two debates briefs and two debate discussions. Do the work and you will pass the class. She also gives good topics for discussions.

Dr. Habash is a treasure. She puts a lot of effort into giving the materials you need for success in her class. The exams are timed, but she gives you study materials straight out of the gate. You'll have three projects, but they are not hard if you don't wait until the last minute. Put effort into your essay, and add direct quotes and examples!

I love Dr. Habash, as long as your putting in the effort she will recognize that and do what she can to help you out when you need it and make sure you pass the class. I took an axcelerated course and still made it very simple and pretty easy. The debates can be very intimidating but again, shes very understanding and helpful.

I really enjoyed taking Argue & Debate class for the 8 wks session. Dr. Habash truly cares about her students and want everyone to succeed, but you have to be willing to put in the effort.
