The class is very easy. You read the material assigned, show up, take the quizzes, and you are pretty much set. The midterm and final questions are pulled EXACTLY from the quizzes given. no surprises. summer term is probably the easiest to take this class, no free response essay on the midterm or final and less reading material!

I agree, this is the professor to take if you hate politics and just need the requirement. He is a lot of fun in class and cares about the students. The quizes are easy if you read the chapter. If you don't you can still pass, but you won't get an easy "A".

This teacher is very different. I just talked to him about my mid term. Instead of telling me I have to try harder...he spent time SHOWING me how to study and encouraging me that i can do it. NONE of my other professors have ever tried to help me like that.

Lingrosso is the best by far. Only two tests, so don't screw up cause there is not really extra credit. He posts the study guide on his website, so check it early before the exam.

Lingrossa was my favorite professor at valley. He was nice to students, organized and always answered questions. The grading was very fair, and he offered extra credit! I liked that he doesn't talk to you like a child, and treats you with respect.

I took this teacher for winter intersession and found out that,from the very beginning, he is very respectable. Here is the truth, his class is an easy "A" if you read the chapters and study his quizzes. He is very organized and does not pull tricks on students concerning test. Very nice as well; however, he does demand your attendance.

I took winter too, and was not looking forward to 4 nights of politics. But Lingroso was really good at keeping the class interesting. The quizzes are the key to an A for sure.

I am not a politics major, but I really liked this class. It was a VCAP so only 8 weeks, but I learned a lot. Lingrosso really wants you to learn and get a good grade. The star power exercise was awesome! He always answered emails and never missed office hours.

I was nervous about taking this class, cuz I know nothing about politics. But I really liked it! Not a lot of busy work but you learn a lot cuz you have to read the book to do well.

His lectures are long, but there is only 1 midterm and 1 final that he gives study guides for and its exactly the same questions as on the exams. Make sure to study the essay questions! Easy class, first half of class is for students who bring in current events(extra credit) unlimited. Second half of class is about the reading. Second half is very important for the mid term and final. Essays questions are on his lectures. Tips, don't need to do the quizzes at the end of each chapter, even though he says you should. Attend class!

First half of class is discussing current events you can bring in for extra credit and the last half is lecture. As long as you show up and study what you're told, the class is essentially easy since you're only given a mid-term and a final. I love this professor, you can tell he loves what he teaches and keeps you engaged. Total cutie pie too!

Prof Lingrosso was one of the best ive had at Valley. He was always happy and smiling at the beginning of class and took the time to ask how we are all doing. i really cant complain about anything. He is a fast grader, he offers a bunch of extra credit, he replies to your emails ASAP, and he has a small 5 question quiz every week on the chapter and 1 midterm and 1 final. The quizzes are limited to 5 min. and the midterm and final is 2 hours. Give it a try and you'll get a good grade!

Ok so I just took this class online, and I really liked it! The professor was quick with replies, sticks to the syllabus and was always super helpful. I had online profs in the past disappear after the first couple of weeks, but lingroso was always there. He even posted a message of care and concern during finals week, totally gets it!

1 midterm and 1 final. Study guide is provided if students participate during class discussions. Extra credit is offered by allowing the student to present and discuss a political current event each class meeting. Book is definitely needed for the study guide, for assigned reading, and for class discussions. Lingrosso keeps the topics interesting.

My friend recommended this class after I dropped another professor. I did so much better! The lectures were good, and the grading was fine. His handwriting on the board was hard to read sometimes, but he always took a break to ask us if we had questions.

I took this class online and thought it was really informative. One mid term and one final both essays. Open book and open note with 2 hours to complete. Each week was a chapter quiz, multiple choice. The discussions were ALL extra credit and unlimited.... :)

Make sure to do A LOT of extra credit before the midterm because after ppl see their grades, they bring ec current events and a lot of times you won't get to you to share. You have to share in order to receive the ec. Highly recommend because there are only 2 tests that he gives you the study guide for and no hw.

Highly recommended. No homework, just make sure to read and take good notes! Couple movies that we watched were very knowledgable and were entertaining. Gives you the test questions before each test so you can study them in advanced. Open-minded guy, and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask! EC is a must, take advantage of it!

Loved his class very informative and fun. He is always available for help and is a human most of all. USE the study guides! READ the chapters and your good.

This was a really fun class. I always looked forward to the current events! The tests aren't easy, but they are fair. This wasn't my easiest class but not the hardest either. I recommend :)

Read the textbook and attend class. Lectures definitely help when it comes to answering essay questions in the midterm and final. Do the study guide AND STUDY IT. Multiple choice questions are a matter of memorization (easy peasy). Study at least 3 of the potential essay questions and you'll be good to go. Lingrosso made Poli Sci interesting :)

My favorite professor at Valley. Always on time, follows the syllabus and always makes the class fun. The first part of the class is current events and they are extra credit for bringing in a news story. He gave us study guides for the mid term and final, and there were no annoying class presentations or group projects. I highly recommend.

Yeah I really liked this class. Lots of extra credit and no long papers. Two essay questions on the exams, and you get study guides. I learned a lot, and the class went by fast.

This class was recommended by a friend, and I really liked it. The book is just ok, but the current events on class are fun and he makes the class go by fast. The professor is super nice and seemed to really want everyone to enjoy it. He was always on time, seemed organized and I liked that he encouraged questions in class.

I took this class online and it was really good. There were chapter quizzes and current event postings each week. He gave us a study guide for the exams. I liked the way the class was structured, and he seemed to really care.

I was recommended to take Prof. Lingrosso and I am glad I did. He is very thorough and he makes his lectures easy to follow. I didn't really care much about politics before I took the class, but now I understand so much and look forward to following it. Make sure to do the current events for extra credit. Trust me, they are worth it!

Lingrosso is one of the best college professors I have had! Took his online poll sci-fi 2 class and absolutely loved it! Not only is he a fair grader but he is also very intelligent and assigns cool assignments. His office hours were very flexible and he gives the best support and motivation any student could ask for! Highly recommended.

Professor Lingrosso is such an amazing professor and makes political science very interesting! He shows very interesting documentaries that you will not get bored of and lectures verbally and doesn't do powerpoints which makes the class interactive! All you have to do is participate and do the work and you'll pass the class with an A!

Prof Lingrosso is a really great professor & I'm so glad I took his class! He makes everything super clear for you when you don't understand. He puts it into words that just make it so simple & he uses great examples. Participation is key in his class which makes the class more interesting. I would definitely recommend him!

Manages to make politics interesting with his seminar teaching style. He will ask pointed questions to confirm that the class read the material. Amazing professor, if I could, I'd definitely take him again. There's really not much to do except show up and do the reading. If the class looks like they're doing the reading (participating in class discussions) he gives out a study guide. Only two exams which is the midterm and final. If you have the study guide it's an easy A.

His classes are fun and interactive. Quiz"s are easy if you READ. And study but super easy to pass if you pay attention.

BEST PROF EVER I am not very politically involved but he made this class incredibly enjoyable. He is funny and nice. There are 2 exams which are the midterm and final. Each one consist of multiple choice part and an essay part. He is a tough grader for the essay part. Besides that if as a class you all participate he gives a study guide. Easy class

Professor Lingrosso was quite inspirational and made this class worth the while. If he sees the class reading the material and participating he will give a study guide which is the test. He gives a lot of chances for extra credit. I though this class was gonna be boring but turned out to be one of the best classes I have taken by far. Take him!

Lingrosso was a fantastic teacher of the course material. He exemplified great levels of patience with a few people in our class who may or may not have had a lot to say, but not much to say of value. He will explain things until you understand them. Class is straightforward, read the book before class to participate in lectures and you'll do well.

I really liked this class! The professor was fun, knowledgeable and he really seems to like teaching. Be careful using your phone in class, he will kick you out if you are being rude.

This was my favorite class last semester. Lingroso was always punctual, prepared and treated us like adults. I appreciated that he doesn't have busy work (no group projects, no presentations, no term papers) He expected us to read, and participate in class. If you screw up on a test, there is plenty of extra credit. Loved it!

The online class was pretty easy. If you read the book the quizzes were simple, one mid term and one final exam both essays. He was open to allowing students to come to his in person office hours if we needed help, so I thought that helpful! I would recommend...

I really liked that instead of a research paper we got to respond to current events each week by comparing what we read in the chapter. The professor chose articles that related to what we read so it really helped! The only home work was to read the chapter and respond to the current event, pretty chill class, and I watch the news now LOL.

What I liked about the class was that the professor didn't change the grading criteria half way through. What was on the syllabus was how the course was graded and I appreciated that.

This was a really fun class, the time goes by fast, and the tests are pretty straight forward. Do the current events and read the book, not too difficult.

Finally a professor who cares about students. I was so happy that he would take the time to explain things and not just lecture. He even offered to meet me at CSUN if it was more convenient. This was the third time taking he class, and I really needed to pass. so glad my friend referred me to him.

He is a really good teacher who wants the best for his students. Just follow his syllabus and you should be fine. You can make the choice of doing the extra credit (I didn't) and you can still get a good grade in his class. Just spend a lot of time reading the book and the test should be easy. I took this in 5 week. It wasn't so bad.

Professor Lingrosso is very smart and knows his material. He is very sarcastic and expects you to have read that week's chapter prior to showing up to class. He is also sarcastic sometimes and you have to be able to understand his humor. He gives you extra credit also.

Professor Lingrosso is incredibly gifted in Political Science and in Life! He is sharp, funny, cute and knows what is going on in the world. No fake news with this gentleman. He knows the truth. I've always been inspired by intelligent people. He is a rare gem. I would take him again because I sure learned a lot about what is going on around us.

Professor Lingrosso is amazing! The class consists of 1 discussion per week and 1 quiz. There is also one midterm and one final. The discussions are super easy, extremely important, and useful. You can prepare for your quizzes and midterms at looking at the review questions/quizzes in the book at the end of each chapter ;) Take him, easy A!

I really liked this class! I usually don't take online classes, but since the pandemic I had to. I was really nervous and probably asked too many questions, but lingroso was always online, and replied to emails really quickly. Even know it was not a live class, he scheduled zoom meetings so I got to talk with him whenever I needed help.

Professor Lingrosso clearly outlines the expectations of the class, and none of the work unfair or unbalanced. I didn't do well on my first assignment, but that was due to my not understanding expectations. He is generous with extra credit - if you put in the work to participate! I respect him and find him to be a great professor.

Easy grade. Weekly small 5 question quiz and a current event. Provides the chapters from the textbook in the modules. The final is non accumulative.

This was an amazing teacher. I am not a fan of political science but this teacher made me grow a liking for it. All the lectures were super informative and he is willing to answer all questions. Just do the reading and you will be fine.

He was a good professor, I can't lie. However, for sure, he is a tough grader, because, surprisingly, whatever I did, I still got low grades on every writing assignment. I don't know; I am not really into politics, but the class was okay for me!

Super caring, extra credits on every discussion, one final essay. I actually learnt and enjoyed the class, not super heavy (although a lot to read!!). Besides the material I also learnt to analyze, select legitimate news articles and connect my knowledge to the real life events. Definitly take him if you want to learn and enjoy the class

Great professor! Easy class as long as you do all the work. I'm not into politics at all and managed to pass the class in a 8-week semester. Do the reading and follow the writing criteria and you shall pass. He grades fair. Assignments are easy. I would take this professor again.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this professor he was a great professor truly truly learned a lot his lectures were also so informative, and all his assignments were very clear as long as you follow directions. 10/10
