Professor Murugan works lots of example problems to help you do your homework and quizzes. All of the homework and quizzes are on mymatlab and are 40% of your grade. Four classroom tests are 50% and the final 10%. The professor genuinely cared about me and extended deadlines when I had a few personal issues.

I am not good at math but I was able to understand most of what he was teaching. The course was not easy but the professor used many examples to help us. He gives reviews for all his tests and if you know how to work the review questions you will pass the tests.

Not an easy class for me but the grading helped me to pass. Unlimited attempts at hw. Do not miss the test reviews and do all your HW and quizzes in matlab. The matlab stuff is worth about half of the grade. Professor was really nic but was not so clear sometimes

Best math professor ever. Always willing to help and give additional time to complete work. Class was long and a bit boring since it was only once a week and the math was not easy. Murugan gives reviews for all his tests and you will pass them if you study. MyMatlab assignments a must and count for a major part of your grade.

Amazing professor, I tried taking this class with another professor and it was horrible. Do all your quizzes and homework and do not miss his test reviews. They are extremely important and helpful!

I have always been horrible at math. I took his course when he was teaching for Polk State College and I understood. I had took the same class with someone else and I got an F. As long as you take notes and do your homework, you will pass.

He gives good test reviews and if you attend class you will pass.

In class he does many examples to help with the homework. He gives 4 tests but he dropped the lowest. Good test reviews. The book , quizzes, and homework are mymathlab so make sure to keep up with it. This is not an easy class if you struggle with math and you are expected to know some math to understand the lectures.

I took this class at another college with Professor Murugan. He gives you lots of opportunities to pass the class and get a good grade. Make sure you go to class as he covers a lot and if you miss the review you can fail the test.

Let me start off by saying I'm no good at math so this may have been hard for only me, but prepare to hear lectures daily on chapters. Test will kill you if you fail them, and quizzes can help you come back from your tests. Homework's graded in small points and if not done small points will add up cause he gives sufficient work. Extra Credits Rare!

Fast pace professor. Would not recommend him for people who need a little bit of more help. Take really good notes & it should help you a lot. He lets you have notecards for tests.

I had this teacher for my fall and he's is great. The class was a night class and it can get long and boring but if you show up take notes and do all your assignments you'll get an A+ just make sure you show up for they review. the review is on the quizzes and test and show up the day after he may give extra credit to boost your test score.

He truly is a great professor. There was not a single time that I didn't know how to solve a problem because he explained them so well. Would take again in my future math courses.

Penmanship is not the best so when taking notes, be sure to ask what is written because it can be easily mistaken for another word. This professor is great because he will drop 3 homeworks, 1 homework quiz, and 1 test. He basically wants everyone to do well in the class and if the class isn't doing the homework, he will extend the due date.

This is my second time taking this class. My first professor was a mess. Professor Murugan was well organized and I knew exactly what I needed to do to pass. Homework was online but be prepared to do work in class also.

Just want to say math I don't really like math. The prof made it easy for us to get points and pass. Also you can retake a test if you go to tutoring.

Professor Murugan is a great Professor. I dont like math very much, but this course with Professor Murugan was a very helpful and successful course. I will be taking my next math course with him again. I started physical classes and ended up having online due to the coronavirus. Highly recommend!!! Hes very helpful and understanding.

When we moved to online because of Covid I was really worried. But the professor made the online part just like he was teaching in class. Videos and notes that show eactly how to do the work and understand it. He extended the hw a few times to make sure we got the work done.

Professor Murugan is a great educator that cares for his students and have a great method of teaching. He make the material very easy to fallow and he is always available for any question or concern. If you are looking for a great professor take any of his classes. I took College Algebra and Statistic and it was a great experience.

This professor is AWESOME! he is super nice and ALWAYS willing to help you. I am HORRIBLE at math; and the fact I passed his class in especially with an A says a lot. he drops lowest test grade and quiz grade. Gives reviews for test and videos are super easy to understand which helps with test and work.

He teaches very good. You need to make sure you pay attention and put in the work. There are a lot of assignments so one or two bad grades won't ruin you.

Professor Murugan is amazing !!! He is very generous and extended due dates and offered extra credit! As long as you do the work you will pass ! He really cares about his students and gave the class extensions on due dates. He answers emails and any questions you have ! And the review is the same as the tests and he drops the 3 lowest Quiz and HW!

This class was honestly very easy. The test are proctored however you can use a review given that is very similar to the exam. Hw due every week at the end of the week which gives you enough time. Most hw and test are turned in through my math lab so just beware of that. He is very nice and understanding. def recommend!

I took his RTV class and it was great. As long as you pay attention in class you will be fine. There is a test almost every week but they are very similar to homework so it is easy. He also gives a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it. He clearly explains everything and if need be he is always happy to reexplain something.

Gave plenty of chances to makeup homework/quizzes and without that I probably wouldnt have past the class. The tests are heavily base on the notes/lectures so its easy to get a A with just a little bit of studying on your end. Overall, I would take a class of his if given the chance.

Professor murugan was by far the best professor ive had during this pandemic. online learning was pure hell but he made it so easy and accessible. he gives plenty of chances to get a good grade and pass. If you dont take those chances thats on YOU. Very kind and very understanding professor.

I am pretty good at math but his videos made the class even easier, I was able to finish his class a month early and it was a summer course. He uses honor lock but that isn't much of a problem. There's 4 tests with a practice quiz for each one that are basically exactly the same except for different numbers. The homework's have unlimited try's.

Amazing professor! I was afraid to take calculus online but this professor made it a breeze. First and foremost, his assignments and lecture videos are very direct and consistent. If you watch the lectures while doing the homework there is no way to get confused. Secondly, he is very understanding and will reopen assignments if you happen miss one.

Professor Murugan makes learning the subject simple with his lectures and practice quizzes before the tests. The only way you can fail this class is by not doing your work. He gives you multiple opportunities to complete the work and extra credit opportunities. Pace yourself, use his notes for the test and you will do well.

He constantly responds and checks his emails. He sends reminders about tests / assignments. Homework is always due at the same time every week. Very organized

Professor Murugan is one of the best, I would definitely recommend his class. His videos are extremely helpful. Quizzes and exam questions are similar. He gives test reviews, pay attention to his announcements but the work is doable and you will definitely learn. Professor Murugan definitely wants you to succeed and you can just apply yourself.

Take this class. Do yourself the favor and TAKE IT. I am absolutely terrible at math and was extremely intimidated by calc. Professor Murugan changed all of that. I absolutely hate maths but I had to take this class for my degree, professor Murugan made it accessible and pretty easy to follow. He also drops you lowest grades and if you take the test quizzes, they are mostly the same with different numbers so at least you know what to expect. I appreciate that he does not try to trick us and is very clear.

He is a wonderful professor. He gives you detailed notes for the course. He assigns 1-2 hw sessions per week. I never needed to use the textbook when taking this class and I passed with flying colors! He assigns a practice quiz and then the real quiz with honor lock with each module. Each quiz has 15-20 questions and the final had 15-20 questions.

Professor Murugan is the BEST math professor I've ever had, hands down!! He honestly wants you to succeed, and he gives you so many opportunities to succeed. If you fail his class, it's because you didn't put forth any effort to try. He gives you math lecture notes (which you can use while taking the test) and are very similar to the test.Take him!

He is the best math professor at Valencia! I have taken him for both College Algebra and Pre-Calculus and both classes were amazing. He really cares about his students succeeding. His lectures completely walk you through how to do your homework and understand each concept. He is very responsive and as long as you do the work you will get an A!

The lectures done by the professor were extremely helpful when it came time to do the learning sections and the the test. The quizzes were exactly like the test so you knew what to study. Overall, College Algebra was made very easy by actually understanding his methods in the lectures. Keep in mind this course does utilize Honorlock.

I highly recommend Samuel Murugan's math class to anyone interested in the subject. he is an outstanding professor who is dedicated to his student's success, and I feel that I learned a great deal from them over the semester.

If you are worried about taking Calc, fear no more. Samuel has clear grading criteria, easy-to-follow lectures, and a workload that is very manageable. Honorlock is required for the 4 tests and the final exam, but the professor allows you to use his notes from the practice test. If you pay attention this class is an easy A

This class was a very simple math class that you could easily finish with a good grade. He gives you the opp. to do all your work (since all assignments are open) so you're allowed to get the class done early. He's very nice and responds to emails quickly. I would definitely take him again!

This profesor is really good and he explain the problems of math perfect and the documents we use to study are explained perfectly if you ask me if I take the professor again 100 times I would do it I recommend you that you take it I learn a lot.

I just want to mention that math is one of my weakest subjects, but this professor made it so easy for me to comprehend the material. He makes his own lectures, and they're amazing. He uses Honorlock for the test, but the quizzes and tests are very similar. Take him!! I can't stress it enough. If I could take another math course with him, I would.

Professor Murugan is amazing! There are a few honorlock exams but his reviews that he gives are a lot like the questions on the exam plus he lets you use notes during them making it a lot easier. His lectures are very useful and he goes into depth on every question. I would recommend him over and over again.

His class is very easy to understand and navigate. There is around 3 assignments a week and there is videos to go with each module. At the end of each module there is a quiz and exam with 10 questions each. Take him if you can!

If I could take him again I definitely would!!! Lectures go over hw and content perfectly. Study guides for tests are very thorough and are pretty much just like the test. Also, tests are open note and you can use desmos. Not too much hw either. He makes the class manageable and interesting!

I would 100% recommend this professor, there was 4 test that were all protectored with honorlock, by as long as you look at the review guides, you will pass as the questions on there is the exact same thing but with different numbers. Homework unlimited attempts, the quiz is also useful for review on the test.

Easy class

Amazing teacher. Cares about you passing the class. You have honor lock on tests but the quizzes that are assigned before the test is the same layout. Use your quiz work for your test notes and you will be golden.

Simple and straightforward class. There's honor-lock, but as long you pay attention to the video and use your notes, you'll be okay.

Very straightforward and accessible professor. The syllabus was very thorough and helpful. Exams had a mandatory quiz to do beforehand in the exact format of the exam. Homework and quizzes were very easy, and exams were proctored on honorlock. I would definitely recommend this class and professor.

This was the easiest college algebra class possible, there were 2-3 homework assignments per week. The tests use Honorlock. He releases a study guide for each one that is nearly identical to the actual test/quiz. Including the final exam! I actually ended up getting an 100 on both the final quiz and the final exam. Take this class. Like seriously.

Amazing and simple teacher

Great professor. There was a video for every homework assignment that perfectly explained each topic. He was lenient when it came to turning in work late. He also offers extra credit towards the end of the semester in the form of filling out the Student Feedback on Instruction survey. I would take him again.

Honestly I did my homework in class while he was working on the same problems and it really helped me understand the material. He also would help you on your own problem to show you were you went wrong and he was really helpful in the whole class.

He was very patient and thorough when explaining each topic. It was easy to learn and follow along and he was extremely helpful if anyone needed further explanation.

Class wasn't difficult at all in my opinion. Even as someone who isn't the best at math, I was able to understand the concepts easily through the given lectures. The quizzes and study guides that you take before the test will 100% help!! Overall, awesome professor and he was also quick to respond to emails.

If you need College Algebra take it with Professor Murugan. He's an amazing professor that assigns a reasonable workload. The class is a couple of homework assignments (2-3 per week) on MyLabMath with Pearson which explains the problems easily. He provides a study guide for every module that are very similar to the quiz and test. 10/10 TAKE HIM!

He made math clear and less intimidating. He explained problems in a way that actually made sense and cared if we truly understood. He was a great math teacher. He really cares too and you have to is turn in a couple assignments

I would recommend professor Sam to anyone whether you're good at math or not the best like me. The course layout is very structured in a way that it's easy to follow a routine every week. Since the material is rigorous, I do recommend reading ahead and following the walk-throughs of the homework. Do the work and you'll do just fine.

Professor Murugan is a great instructor. I took his class and didn't feel very stressed. The homework is a reasonable amount, and the tests are almost exactly like the quizzes. He also explains clearly in class what you need to do. The class is very organized, overall, a great experience.

I enjoyed having this professor since he emails back quickly to any questions or comments. He was very supportive and nice. You will have 3 homework at most each week with occasional quiz and test. The test is honorlock, but if you do the homework and quiz it will be very easy. I would highly recommend picking this professor.

I'm sincerely thankful for the effort Prof. Murugan puts in to run this course so smoothly and efficiently. The videos are easy to follow and his teaching style is spot on. I love math, but recently I've lost interest because of how exhausting most professors have forced math courses to be. I'm so glad Prof Murugan doesn't follow that trend. Kudos!

Work was pretty easy and straightforward, I passed his class with a 99%! Tests are proctored with honorlock, but he'll give a test review days before the test that is exactly the same as the test. The textbook is required as it is how we do ALL classwork, quizzes, and tests. Don't even waste time, just select him!
