good guy but a shatty teacher. he needs to get off his high horse and back to reality.

He is not a good teacher. He is too full of himself. Too many notes that overwhelm a person-why is that necessary? Always has some smart answer so that you feel uncomfortable in talking with him about anything. NEVER on time for class.

I would definately avoid taking him if you can, you will have a hard time. I don't care for him either he has a smart mouth and is ALWAYS late and if your late he takes off 5 points.

He is to biased to be teaching an ethics course. It wasn't so difficult if you read the material, but he is very opinionated, and if he doesn't agree with you it can affect your grade. It was a fun class to express your views with the other people, but the teacher wasn't necessary.

Class was rediculous! Attendance policy was rediculous- miss 1 day- lose 15pts- NOTHING excused! Expects you to memorize whole book- not possible! EVERY test is cummulative! 10 page outlines due every week if you want a chance of even passing! Worst teacher ever! Ethics does not need to be this hard! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA DON'T TAKE IT!

Very annoying man. Grading system is horrible. Miss one day lose 30+ point; make every class only get a few points. Horrible grading system. Horrible instructor. Do not take him if you care about your GPA.

The professor does not know how to teach. he doesn't tell us the right answer to questions and he does not give us concise information about what we need to know. he gave us about 50 pages of printouts from wikipedia and told us to read and understand them (of the course of the class, not all at once).

He is the worst teacher i have ever had. I would never take him again. EVER. if anyone says he is a good teacher is taking some illegal drugs. I hate him!!!

I felt the assignments were easy.grading criteria is a joke, there were 15 students in my class and by the last week 10 were failing. i felt i needed to participate everyday and got a 5 out of 20. and failed a self evaluation that i completed. yeah how do you fail a self evaluation. DO NOT TAKE!

All I will say is when you make a complaint about him.......do not go to the Dean of Humanity's. They are friends and she is worse than him. Go above her. Read the schools policy on harassment if you take his class.

Social Issues in Technology. Worst instruction ever in a college class. Unclear on grading criteria, format and point value of tests and assignments. We watched a lot of movies, took notes, and discussed course material in class. You'll get a good grade if he likes you.

Awful teacher. Late to class every day. Doesn't review. Doesn't tell you what will be on the test. Inconsistent grading. Knows material, can't teach it. His power points aren't very helpful because that's not what he teachers over! Expects us to read a huge chapter several times before the test, don't have that much time. AVOID

Mr Rowe despite all of his faults fails just basics of being an effective teacher. He does not answer emails. His assignments are unclear. He does not have a good grasp of the material other than what he has memorized from power points and years of teaching. He has no compassion; not even for mistakes. I am a good student. If you can avoid him.

Honestly, his response time on graded material was horrid. The feedback he has to offer is given weeks after it can be of any use and by then you have already bombed multiple assignments. I enjoyed the course material and concepts, but the teacher really ruined the experience for me. I unfortunately will not be passing this course.

First off I am holding a B in the course. However he is not clear on assignments. Lost forty percent on an assignment but the assignment description says nothing about penalties for using certain types of proof. Going up in rank to resolve the issue does not help as well. Also if you like your computer for notes dont take course.

Slow to return emails, takes off points for things not on the list of requirements for assignments. He is ruining GPAs with his inconsistency and has little respect for his students. Avoid him if you can, not worth it.

Absolutely the worst experience I've had in 3 years of college courses. Rarely returns e-mails. Doesn't apologize for mistakes that he makes with test editing/BB functionality, and makes his mistakes feel like your fault. Grades papers based on expectations that were not presented beforehand. I'm a straight-A student, currently aiming for a C.

I had Mr. Rowe as my instructor for a summer class and it was a terrible experience. The grading was very unclear and he trashed my grade at the end of the semester. The grading he showed in the syllabus was not used in the actual class. AVOID THIS INSTRUCTOR

Very unorganized. I got lost multiple times on what he wanted and he wouldn't give me any feedback on what I needed to do when asked.

This teacher gives very horrible feedback. It's really hard to understand what he wants in his assignments because he does not specify and even when he gives you a layout of what he wants in his papers he doesn't follow it well. If you miss anything due to family problems or health issue you might as well drop because he won't let you make it up.

I will never take this teacher again. I've had a'll As until I took this class. Definately the worst teacher I've encountered. If anything goes wrong with BB n prepared to take a 0 on that assignment.

If I wanted an online class, I would have taken one. He assigns online tests over the material every weekend. He doesn't give you enough time for tests and they are poorly formatted. He is vague with his directions. I ended the semester with all A's and a C in his class because he thinks we can read his mind. AVOID.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! His grading is system and expectations are seriously flawed. Instructions for assignments are very unclear. Grading scale for tests and written papers are ridiculous.. Gives critical feedback, tests are long and timed. Almost impossible to contact, if you have any questions I suggest showing up at his office.

Over a 15 week course 15 tests were given, including a 75 question midterm and a 200 question final exam. Lots of reading, listening to lectures and additional research required. Papers are graded harshly and negative criticism abounds in Rowe's feedback. Grades not posted often. Out of 20+ students, only 7 were enrolled til end of semester.

I would never recommend anyone to take this class online. There's too many papers, the tests are long and timed so once you begin the test you must finish. A lot of the questions on the test aren't logical. Assignments aren't very clear to understand and gives critical feed back on papers. You can just forget about getting a reply via email.

Wow, this teacher is horrible. He is not clear on his directions for assignments, he is rude when emailing questions, he thinks we can read his mind, he doesn't even care to know his students. He grades way too harshly without any guidelines or rubrics. Do not take this class, I thought I could handle it but please save yourself the trouble.

The worst teacher I've had by far, he grades way to hard on papers and he has 1 test per week over some very hard reading. I don't think he is aware that the majority of people going through his course aren't going to end up being philosophy majors. Avoid people, you'll thank me later.

Stay away! Atypical when strangers from online class email each other to ask if they are the only one's struggling. Learned nothing and earned a "B." Stated previously that he doesn't issues A's often. Evident when I turned in my final paper needing a 41% for an A, somehow I earned a 40%. Happy to put this waste of time behind me!

Where do I begin, this professor has been hands-down the worst Instructor I have had in my 15+ years in education. Professor Rowe is rude, self-centered, uneducated, and definitely not funny. He is condescending and takes off points for things that contradict the textbook when you write paper for him. Find a question in a test that you can prove his answer is wrong with textbook page#?...... Doesn't matter YOU'RE WRONG. He is a terrible speaker and teaches nothing he tests on or asks for papers on. TERRIBLE AVOID!!!!!!!

Samuel Rowe is the absolute worst 'instructor' I've ever had/encountered. I am a straight A student normal and put my all in my work, however he failed EVERY single paper I submitted. His feedback makes no sense, he doesn't reply to emails. He says if you don't understand 'just google it.' We pay for this, this is absolutely unacceptable.

I took this class through CCP as an online class and little did I know I would be taking a class harder than even my hardest AP Class my senior year. His grading is flawed; he is not empathetic in the slightest and has much higher expectations students in a 110 course than anyone else I've met. Very hard to get ahold of.

extremely test heavy! a test every week 45 questions only 40 minutes. quizlet was my best friend since the test had nothing to do with what was talked about in class. this an elective class for me. I don't even work this hard for my major.

This is the absolute worst instructor I have ever had. Sadly, I was more competent in the material than the instructor himself. It seems he got angry at this. What he says conflicts with the textbook.

His test questions are broken but he refuses to fix them. Not what I expected from an Ethics professor or from any professor for that matter. He is a very tough grader on papers.

Where to start. Tells you to come in on time, Yet hes always late. That is not ethical. Any questions you have for him are responded with just search it. Lectures are pointless because he discusses nothing relevant to the test youre going to take that week. In fact, he talks about how cold the classroom is for the first half hour.
