A goog teacher, prefer him over 'Lim' on Prob & Stat anyday.Gives makeup exams to coverup your bad grade. Try to be funny at times, but the thing is that no one can get his jokes at times.But still good!

Prob and Stat is hard, but he is an excellent teacher. You do have to study, but it pays.

I was never good at math until I had him as a professor. He cares. If you do your homework, study, and put problems on the board, you are in good shape. If you are a slacker, do yourself a favor drop out of school and don't bother with his class.

Very helpful, very fair. Helped me a great deal and passed me on the final even though I failed the test by one question. Because of him I got through MAT119 just fine and even enjoy studying math, now, when it's not TOO frustrating.

He explains everything well - just don't skip a class because you will never get back the details you missed. Very helpful if you have questions.

it's definitely not an easy class...try not to miss a class cuz you'll fall behind BIG TIME! but he explains everything thoroughly...his tests aren't easy...just make sure you study and you'll most likely find yourself at a tutoring session once or twice

class is hard but if you go to class take good notes and go to class you should be fine. It helps if you are math minded if you have not taken math in a while don't take him.

he really likes cards. dont ask questions, hell look at you like you should die. gets frustrated very easily, over all not bad just dont get lost

He explains things very well. He writes out all you need to know, and has no problem helping outside of class. He'll get a little frustrated at times if you ask question during class, but he will still go over it again. The HW isn't too bad, overall personally i think he is a fine professor.

I had this teacher for math 140 and i'm currently in his 145. He is the best math teacher i've had. He gives you all the chances to make up for a failed test grade. Plus doing the homework on the blackboard gives your grade an extra help. Take him and don't believe the people that don't appreciate a dedicated professor. I learned a lot!

For his class, he does assign a lot of homework. Though he does want everyone to do well in class. I do agree with some people here, he might get annoyed a times and whoever rate him 1s are just to lazy to even do the work. I had him a long time ago and I failed his class, but when I look back, I failed it, because I was too lazy to do the work.

This guy is the best of the 3 professors that teaches Probability and Statistics. He often makes rash remarks and acts very tough, but thats because he doesnt want anyone being left behind and also cares about his students. The fact that the class itself was devoted, hard-working, and small helped a lot in making him an excellent professor.

He is not an easy teacher because typically the students are lazy and don't do the homework he assigns. Literally half of our class failed because of that reason. Prof. gives a lot of work, but he'll tell you which 1 are being collected. attendance isn't mandatory but must attend to learn. Test are much easier than homework. Do all of graded work. He gives u a lot of chances to get ur grade up. I usually don't do the hmwk that are not graded, then do them before exam as a review. I got "A" for every exam.

Grading is fair. Must do hw to have a chance. HW is harder than the exams, HW graded, but math tutors do it for u, always got full credit. Kept a B+ avg throughout course. Course is required, I'd take him since most don't enjoy Miller

Easy professor....just study at home, it's not that hard. Tests are much easier than the homework. I would easily take him again.

Hated the class, but loved him teaching it. I would not call the class easy, but I really enjoy his teaching style and his random jokes.

Now THIS is a professor! One of the few in the department that WANTS his students to succeed and learn the material. The material was quite difficult, but his clarity is what helped me get an A.

He comes off rude and nasty, but he is really funny and a terrific professor. He teaches sooooo well compared to many professor I have had and he really wants you to comprehend the material. He seems intimidating by asking a lot of questions and walking around the room, but he does it to honestly see if you understand what he is teaching. :)

An excellent professor, although occasionally intimidating. If you're struggling, go to his office hours. If you're trying, he won't be rude to you. Teaches incredibly well, just not always nice.

Best math teacher ever. I did study for hours though I'm not going lie, but if you do your hw and study there's no reason why you wouldn't t get an A. His tests are straight forward and he doesn't try to trick or confuse anyone during a test. He really understands the materials. Very easy to understand even though he has a minor accent. Take him!

Pretty much what people said describes him but some stuff people said is NOT true, his tests are NOT easier than the homework he assigns, he makes them more tricky, and is a bs grader meaning doesn't give much partial credit and takes off point for tiny errors such as leaving out the c after integrating (NEVER LEAVE OUT C'S OR U WILL LOSE POINTS).

He emphasizes doing the homework and unless you're amazing at math, you probably need to do the homework to understand whats happening. He'll answer your questions if you ask but he goes very fast and doesn't really explain anything because he has that math teacher problem of expecting everyone to know already.

Good Prof. Puts the maths that he is teaching into real world examples that, at least for me, make what are learning more tangible. Does act tough at the start of semester. He is a nice guy, but the furthest thing from a pushover. Class does move rather quickly,however towards the end of semester you get a huge review for your final.

Highly recommend this professor. If you do the work & pay attention, it's an easy A. He is open to answering questions, has postponed tests because the class asked for extra time, and also cancelled when he felt like we did not need to meet.

Only take this guy if u are smart and good at math. He explains everything clearly. Just concentrate when hes teaching because he wont help u out of class. Gives such a nasty altitude if u dont know something or ask it, although he said thats not true. wish he could provide more examples in review days. If u study hard, he gives u a good grade.

Yes, he may be tough if you try to ask him a question but overall hes a good professor. Other than that, there is online assignments after each chapter, reviews, 3 tests, and final. I cant emphasize enough to please do the reviews, online assignments, additional practice and you will be fine on tests.

Yes his lectures are little tough. Yes he might have come off as a little tough, but without a doubt he cares for his students and is one of the smartest professors in the math department. He makes very hard topics so easy to understand. He will make you work for it but as long as you review you will be fine. I love him.

I thought I couldnt pass this class, but I end up passing .This is one of the hardest class but you can pass .So Try to understand material and study properly .if you do not practice a lot, you will not pass this class for sure . If you know math this will be a breeze. If you don't understand simple algebra, don't suggest this class. He is very fast paced with the class so if you don't understand, it's unlikely he will go over it unless you ask since people are normally quiet. He is NOT accessible outside of class, never replies to emails unless it's about exams. Easy A tbh

I never actually interacted with Professor Maheshwari during my time in his class. If you are an independent learner who is looking to earn credit without commuting or sitting in long lectures, this is the class for you. Professor communicates effectively, and shares assignments in a timely manner. Great for independent learners.

easy A for business math for asynchronous. 5 chapters, but a lot of material to cover in each. self-paced learning but don't be afraid to reach out.

Calculus 2 with this professor is a breeze. Lectures are straightforward, and materials like the free textbook and tools like Unstuck ai make studying a lot easier. Definitely would take again.

I never spoke to him during the semester, but everything was well organized and super easy to follow. Beware of having to pay for Pearson MyLab. But even that was a useful resource once you understand how to use it, so I'd recommend him to anyone.

Took math 1170. Professor kept us updated, posted tips and reminders on upcoming tests. Had to purchase the online access and book and do all work through there. Overall I thought he was a good professor who kept us informed and was on top of the class.
