Professor Manjunath is a decent professor, but I do not feel that her her lecture styles are effective for learning. All notes must be taken online and shared with her and some people prefer to take written notes and that is not an option. She also does not respond to emails very well/quickly. This causes an issue when trying to reach out to her.
I am currently taking professor Manjunath for my SRM 436, facilities and event management class. I have had a great experience with professor Manjunath, she is a great lecturer as most of the time the class is in groups learning through participation. I highly recommend signing up for her class, and I would sign up for any other class she teaches.
Professor Manjunath is a really good professor. She takes the time to make sure all of her students understand the concepts before moving on. Any time I have reached out about a question she is always very quick to respond with much detail. The majority of the work is all due at the end of the week so you have plenty of time to get it done.
Sandy is a great professor who cares about her students. She is very strict regarding attendance and in-class activities because she expects greatness from her students. She is a great teacher and is able to help you not just understand the course material but also practically apply it to real-world scenarios. She trains you for the real world. Aa
Professor Manjunath teaches a very fun and engaging 8 am course which makes it easier than normal going to. She doesn't necessarily lecture, instead she uses activities and group discussions to get her points across. It has been a very good experience so far, and will only get better as the class goes on.
Professor Sandy is a very nice professor who cares about her students. Despite having her for an 8am, she made it easy to come to class as it was very relaxed and she made it easy to understand the content being learned for the whole week. Attendance is mandatory, but you can miss up to 3 classes and get full credit. Quizzes are easy 100%.
She is a solid professor, I have no real complaints about her. She tries to get students to be critical thinkers. She is heavy lecturer. The class material isnt too hard to digest.
Ms. Sandy is a good professor who cares about her students. She is always looking for new ways to make the class more interesting and fun for us. Most of the work done during class is group work which is good because you can take other ideas and make all of them into one. Take her class, it is a fun learning environment and will get a lot out of it
Dr. Sandy is a very professional professor. She really takes time out of her day to care for her students in the class and tries to be as interactive with us as possible. SRM 241 is a semi-difficult class so get ready to do a little bit of work but overall if you just talk to her you will be able to work things out.
Very interesting class. Talk a lot about the world of sports and what happens behind the scene at different events and leagues. There are some speech's and group projects in this class.
Great professor. A bit hard to understand with her accent but she is a great teacher and keeps you involved in the material. Would definitely take again
Some notes are taken during class but it's not that much. So far, we've only had to use the textbook once in the first unit and it was on the test. She is very approachable and willing to help if you are struggling. She really wants to get to know you and form a connection.
Dr. Sandy is a good professor and is new to teaching. She doesn't use the textbook much and there is a free online version. Notes in her class are required and its helpful that she makes you take them.
I personally likes professor Sandy. She seems to know the material very well, and I enjoy the group projects that we do. Her homework's is usually pretty easy to manage, and even though we need a text book, we don't use it a whole lot!
Is not clear with directions regarding certain material. It is an intro class and it feels like it is taken as a harder level course Lacks information about American sports
Professor Sandhya is a great professor. She has fun lectures and makes sure the class participates in the lecture. Some reading but easy. Found the textbook online and you would use your textbook ocassionly
Nice until you give her a reason not to be, still learning the American school system
SRM 241- Professor Sandy is a good professor, sometimes can be difficult to follow when taking notes but overall easy to follow during lectures, very helpful during her office hours.
Professor Sandy Cares about everyone in the class and the content of the class is not hard.
Teaches practical topics in class that work to benefit you. Makes sure people participate in class.
Professor Sandy is a fair and honest professor. Attendance is mandatory, and we did use the textbook. The tests and quizzes are average difficulties but easily manageable if you take good notes. All notes MUST be taken online and shared with her.
Professor Sandhya is a good professor. She is always trying to get her students to think bigger and think ahead in the future. The assignments aren't hard and are usually done in class but she doesn't fully explain things so it becomes tricky. Her tests are not hard, just confusing in a sense of her not covering everything on them.
Professor Sandhya's Introduction to Sports and Recreational Management was a good course to take as a first-year student. She taught us not only the curriculum for the course but valuable life lessons that help us outside of the classroom. She also showed her interest in working with the student's feedback to better her work as a professor.
I would recommend Professor Sandy for SRM 241 or any 241 class. You will only get whatever you put into her class. Class may not be mandatory, but I would still show up because she is a great professional to hear from who has had real-world experience in the sports industry. She is all business when during class, but very a friendly person.
Professor Sandy does a good job preparing us for life outside the classroom in this class and gives us great guidance, but it is somewhat unorganized with the class assignments as a whole. Most of the projects, quizzes, and tests are somewhat easy. Overall she is a good professor and cares about her students.
The class is very enjoyable, even when it's an 8AM class. She is very honest with students and engages in interesting conversations. She does a great job keeping the class participating, and there have been several funny class moments as well. A big part of this class is being a good student, the better the student, the better the class!
8am class but Professor Sandy always made class worth going to and worth waking up for. She always made class very interactive with all students in her class and she allows her students to voice their opinion no matter the subject. She is very caring and pushes her students to succeed, I would highly recommend this class.
Sandy does a great job at pairing her lectures with real world examples, not only using her own stories but the stories of her close peers. Class after class she also promotes tons of ways for you to reach out and network with people, as well as exposing you to multiple job/volunteer opportunities.
I really look up to professor Sandy as the ultimate girl boss. She wants/expects the best for her students. I would suggest to be more organized/clear on assignments/when they're due, I also feel that not every class is super productive but I like how we are able to get group work and a lot of other assignments done in class for minimal homework.
Professor Sandy is one of the most caring professors I've ever met. I had her at 8am and her class always woke me up. She expects a lot out of her students and she might come off as a little intense, but only because she truly wants the best for you. The assignments are simple enough and the tests and quizzes contain no surprises. Take her!
Sandy is a great professor to have, she's always willing to make time for her students whether it's office hours or after class. She also will do whatever she can to put her students in contact with connections that can help the students build their network. In class she does demand participation and I think this makes the class more rewarding.
Takes forever to grade
Good teacher that allows her students to voice themselves when needed. Has a clear strict grading system but can also be accessible if needed outside of class.
Sandy is a good professor with a very interesting background, she's caring about her students. Assignments aren't too bad and there's a couple group work projects
She was a very good professor, tests were based on notes and not very hard, she bases class grades off of participation. She engages with her students every class and is a very honest teacher. This class is not very hard as long as you show up and participate. She motivates her students, and cares about her students success.
Sandy is a beast. she knows what she is talking about and has the experience to back it up. She prepares us for the real world not just SRM and gives us great job advice such a homie.
Professor Sandy really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. While she may expect a lot from you, it is for good reason. She always appreciates any feedback on things she can improve on which I really like from a professor. Definitely recommend taking 241 with her because you will come away with new/valuable information every class.
She is a nice professor to talk to out of class but can be a little strict in class. The class is a little overwhelming, but the work is not hard to complete. She does make the lectures interesting by asking us questions to teach herself more. It is nice to see a professor who actually cares about how you are going to do outside the classroom.
Simple class and material is easy to comprehend. She always has her office hours open and gives her students lots of opportunities to get ahead in the sports and recreation field. The only thing I would critique on is lots of assignments we do in class are useless and is mostly common sense. She's a great professor who truly wants you to succeed.
She is a very outgoing and charismatic teacher. She brings in examples and real-life scenarios to the workload. Quizzes and test are often but she does a great job explaining content. Class is very interactive, so you have to pay attention.
This professor really enjoys participation within the class. I am not one to be social in class, but she has made me feel comfortable and showed me that she cares for each student. You can tell she has a solid background within this curriculum and makes it known that if you don't show up it shows you don't care.
She is an awesome professor who cares about who students. The class can be a little long at times and lecture heavy but she tries her best to make it fun. She is super personable and gives clear directions for assignments. Has a lot of energy for class and very passionate. I would take her again.
Professor Sandy is a very caring person. Her lectures involve a lot of class participation which will help you in the long run of her class. No need to stress about her class because she is always willing to accommodate and work with you. Her objective is try and get you ready for the future and she does a fantastic job of that.
In this class you do a lot of group work as well as presentations. Most test are online, and you have multiple days to complete them. Some textbook activities and need textbooks for test, however it is not used often in class. Lots of class discussions instead of classwork, so you need to be engaged.
Great teacher and I learned so much in this class!
Professor Sandy has been a great professor so far. She is caring about her students and wants everyone to get involved. You take notes on your laptop for the most part. The class is very participation heavy and everyone talks each class. She has been very lenient when it comes to grading and turning assignments in
Very knowledgeable in the sports and rec. industry having lived over seas and owning her own business in that workspace. Sometimes hard to understand her directions but eventually she gets her point across. She wants whats best for us in our career, she prepares us to best person and business professional after school.
Has yet to grade one singular assignment we have turned in, confusing directions in assignments, have to have a valid (proven) excuse every-time you miss class. for example, if we have to miss class for a funeral, you need a copy of the obituary to be excused. She makes the class pretty interactive which is nice, but sometimes can be a bit annoying
Professor Manjunath has an extensive background in the field and offered many great opportunities. However, the class was very confusing, especially when it came to projects assigned. If you missed class, there was little to no chance that you would be able to understand the assignments.
She is very willing to help her students in any way possible. She makes us do very practical things in class rather than lectures or textbook readings. She provides class time to work on assignments, especially the important assignments. She has an excellent understanding of the industry outside the United States.
First real SRM class where you actually learn stuff. She cares about her students and really gets them to think through what they're saying.
Professor Sandy was always willing to help and make the class easy for us. Professor Sandy would always want honest feedback so the class could run to the best of its ability.
Puts in a lot of effort for each lecture and it shows! Cares about her students and their success. Brings textbook to life and challenging us to apply it to ourselves. Tough grader, but assignments are life skills (i.e. creating cover letter and resume). If you put in the effort, she will help you to succeed.
the reviews for this are fudged. she had us sit in class and ask us to rate her for her resume. she is 100% no higher than like a 3.5
She's a great professor but will not respond to a single person's email. Really annoying if you have question about homework or a project. Will either take weeks or not respond at all.
Many of the ratings were faked because we had to write these in class. Was marked unexcused and saw my grade drop because I could not provide proof that I had to return home for a family emergency. Very few things are graded, and the assignments are confusing because there is no clarification on canvas of any assignments. Don't Take.
Probably my favorite professor ever at JMU. She cares so much about her students and wants them to do the best to their ability. Hopefully I'll get a chance to take her again!
Professor Sandy is great professor, but you have to participate. Don't expecting just chilling in class and get good grade! There are 7-9 quizzes and 3 exams (NO FINAL), if you study before you should easily get 90 or above. Not much reading for the class, but MAKE SURE you taking notes from class, you need submit notes by the end of the semester.
I took her 240 class and can say it was an easy A, but she is very unorganized and the directions on many assignments can are the complete opposite of what she is expecting, But she is very willing you help your grade out. She is also has no self accountability when it comes to her making mistakes.
Professor Sandy is a great professor and she cares a lot about her students and their professional development.
Very, very nice professor. For SRM 240, weekly guest speakers with paper at the end, more quantity over quality... also, guidelines for assignments are sometimes bare and she expects more than what is directly said. Great informative class and is my favorite professor/class so far in the Hart School.
She is a great professor but very unorganized. Participation matters, but if you show up and participate, she will help you out a lot. Easy A but you have to show up. She is young so it is easier for her to understand us being in college.
Professor Manjunath is extremely caring and wants everyone to succeed. Their are no tests, but homework a couple of times a week. If you attempt to create a relationship with her, she will be more inclined to help you out late work and assignments in general
Profesor Sandy is a great proffesor for srm 240. There are about 7-8 guest speakers you have to attend for an easy grade. Also just multiple assignments about interviews and just how to be better at resumes and things like that.
Very honest teacher and just go to class so you can get a good grade. Very simple class to take for beginners of SRM
Great professor I thought professor Sandy had a very straight forward way of teaching, she is very nice and caring. Will accept late work if you tell her a reason behind it, opportunities for extra credit. There are no exams only one cover letter quiz online. She will help you if you talk to her.
Very chill and easy class
Very cool lady who knows a lot about the industry. However, very unorganized and difficult to reach. Does not respond to emails, classes were never organized, and will randomly dump lots of assignments on you and only give you a couple days warnings to complete them.
Prof Sandy is a very easy class. There are lots of opportunities to get a good grade, and if you miss an assignment you have the opportunity to make it up. That being said her classes are very unorganized and she never seems prepared. Classes often feel like a waste of time and don't feel worth it to go.
Overall easy class to get an A in, just do the work and submit the assignments on time. However she's unforgiving and doesn't own up to her own mistakes and very hard to reach via email outside of class.
The class is not hard and the professor is very nice. Assignments were graded slowly but if you do them correctly, you won't have much of an issue.
This was a fairly easy class. As long as you pay attention, show up and finish the assignments on time there is no reason you shouldn't pass this class. Sandhya is a great teacher as well as she really cares about the well being of her students and makes sure you're prepared for the professional world.
SRM 240 Professor Sandy is a great lady, fun to talk to and be in class with. She is pretty unorganized when it comes to Canvas and assignments. She expects high-level work and will grade hard, and sometimes doesn't explain the grading expectations before she grades it.
A good pick for an SRM professor. She is funny and is easy to have a conversation with. A LOT of assignments. The assignments are just busy work, but they are long and take a while. The reflections for the guest speakers were required 4 pages long, single spaced, and took forever to write. I would take her again though; she is an easy professor.
Professor Sandy is very caring and respects all of her students. She is a little disorganized at times but still manageable. As long as you show up to class and do the work you will do well in the class.
She was a pretty good teacher that cared a lot about her students. But she rarely responds to emails. Also if you miss one class you could lose points from an assignment that she hasn't talked about but gives you in class.
Good professor but sometimes does not come to class prepared.
Easy class, some participation assignments in class, show up to all the guest lecture, very unorganized.
Professor Sandy is a decent teacher for the course. However it seemed like she wasn't prepared for lectures and the rubrics for assignments weren't clear a lot of the time. Overall I enjoyed her class and Sandy and it should be an easy A or B as long as you do your work. There is also a couple extra credit assignments throughout the semester.
she is a great human being. she is really straightforward She will try to help if you ask for it. there isn't really any test for Srm 240 only a small quiz. She doesn't respond to emails well. She is not organized, on the spot she thinks about what we are going to cover in class, and she drops random assignments with no context.
SRM 240spring of 2023. You are really just attending guest speaking events and working on things such as resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn, etc. Beneficial for freshman/sophomores, not so much junior/seniors imo. Not all will vibe with her and that is okay, get through your initial first impression and you will see she is just trying to help.
Professor Sandy (what she has us call her) is a respectfully honest person. I appreciate how straightforward her advice and feedback is, she will tell you when your work sucks and how to fix it. With that, she offers a lot of extra credit opportunities at the end of the semester if your grade is not where you want it to be. Pretty easy A.
If you show you care, things will go great!
very disorganized... just not well put togather
show up to class and it's pretty easy
Professor Sandy is one of the nicest professors at JMU. She is pretty difficult to reach outside of the classroom, but so long as you just stay after class to talk with her she is always available. I would heavily recommend taking her.
Good teacher, just big project at the end that is not very clarified much throughout the semester
Very hard to explain Professor Sandy. Class is an easy grade, because she follows the 241 curriculum but just completely disregards it all semester. Attendance is mandatory, but she only takes it half the time. If you get her you'll be fine however she is strange.
Super nice to the students and is really great outside of class. If you are struggling at all don't be afraid to ask questions.
One of the most confusing professors at James Madison University. She never explained most assignments very well. She never answered any of my emails very hard to get in contact with about assignments. DO NOT RECOMMEND HER!!!!
Very engaging and moves fast but as far as SRM classes go it's good.
Great class and great intro class for SRM majors
Great professor, very experienced and very knowledgeable. Some assignments can be annoying and grading can be wack at points. But overall, no complaints.
She's a great professor and has a good knowledge of the sport industry. She tends to forget some grades but hey she's nice and respectful. Would recommend her for SRM 241.
Professor Sandy is amazing. Show up to class, do your work and you will get an A. She cares about her students and is very understanding if you can't make it to class.
Very manageable course, really cares about her students. Can be difficult at times.
The second after the due date, you will receive a 0, after being injured for 2 weeks I missed 2 assignments and my grade has not been the same since, just don't miss class and you are fine, it is an easy A.
Great professor I recommend taking her
Pretty easy class if you put in the work. Very fast responder on email.
One of the best professors here at JMU! Get her while you can.
Prof. Sandy was by far one of my favorite professors at JMU and in the Hart School. She's a very caring and understanding professor who has tons of experience and really cares about improving your education and online presence. She prepares you for the outside world and wants to keep in touch. I would take her over and over again!!!
A great professor that will help you build your online presence and teach you the important factors of the sports industry.
She is strong with connecting each of her students. She helps her students a lot with getting yourself out there professionally. She is a very understanding professor but with good reason. Attendance is very important unless you will miss information needed for later classes.
Professor Sandy is awesome. She truly cares about her students and their future. She spent the whole semester basically preparing us for our future careers in the SRM field. Be prepared to go to class, because if you do, it will truly help you. That being said, she is super understanding and if you are on her good side you will be just fine.
Professor Sandy genuinely cared about us and tried to get us to know our other classmates. Her classes and assignments were really confusing though. She would say we would do one thing for next class and then change it the day of class. She also hardly explained assignments well so it was hard to do some of them and she would grade them harshly
I like Professor Sandy a lot, she really does make an effort to connect with each student and is very approachable. Her class is very useful, however, you can not miss class, and you will not be able to make up material as a lot is covered in each lecture. She is very helpful and assignments will help you develop professionally.
Great professor, easy class, but sometimes disorganized
Good professor, if you attend class it is an easy A. No tests, but a good amount of presentations.
It is important to attend class to keep up with assignments. There are no tests which is good but a lot of in class assignments.
Dr. Sandy turns SRM 240 into more of a career building class. The class isn't difficult, it's mainly just a lot of building your LinkedIn profile, building connections, practicing interviews, etc. I wish the syllabus was a single document with a schedule of assignments and she responded to emails quicker, but overall a really solid professor.
Her class can be confusing, but she is a very nice person and cares about her students.
This professor was respectful and passionate about the lessons she taught us this semester. I enjoyed this class this semester.
I liked this class but was sometimes confused on directions. Professor was always helpful and respectful though.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sandys class and found it very useful to starting my career.
Professor Sandy is a great teacher who makes the class fun. She helps you to build your online presence which is good for your career. Can easily access her outside of class.
She was by far my favorite teacher at JMU
Mrs. Manjunath is a very nice and respectful professor. She does her best to make sure everyone does their best in the class and is quick to give you help.
Class was easy but focused on online presence and LinkedIn way too much. Online certifications also seemed kind of useless. Otherwise easy A
I would recommend taking Professor Sandy. There is a couple of group projects nothing terrible all her assignments given are meant to be done in class she rarely ever gave homework if there was it was because you didn't finish something given in class. She really helps you utilize all your resources to become successful for entering the industry.
She has good intentions, but I didn't find some of the methods to work well. The public speaking practice and network building assignments were helpful, but the networking assignments included posting a lot of unnecessary fluff on linkedin, instead of quality posts.
Very caring and while at times the work seems like a lot at times, it is vital to your success in the SRM field
Professor Sandy wants you to get a good grade in her class. She will always be able to help you get a better grade on assignment and the assignments are fairly easy. Enjoyed her class but the only difficulty I had was her directions were sometimes unclear.
Some takeaways that I have had from assignments in this class is that it is important to put yourself out there on social media so that employers can see that and that it is important to talk to people who have experience in fields that you want to work in. I have posted on LinkedIn in this class more than I have before.
Need to read textbook for assignments and group projects are a big part of the class. All work is beneficial to help your career.
Sandhya was an amazing professor who gives out easy assignments. You need to read the textbooks to finish with a good grade and come to class but other then that you should be fine.
Easy grade if you show up. Very accomodating.
Professor Sandhya is a very good professor. She truly cares about her students and wants to set them up for success in their future careers and beyond.
you need to go to class because she doesn't post assignments on canvas, so they're just kind of sprung out of no where. She does care about her students doing well and wants everyone to get a good grade.
A great professor makes you do things that actually help you in the professional world not take meaningless tests. No tests most of the grades are speaking in front of the class and other projects/ guest speaker assignments.
Lots of talking/presenting in class both alone and with classmates. She makes you meet everyone in the class so everyone kinda knows everyone. A little unclear in directions for assignments but lenient grading. Overall she cares about her students and doesn't want you to get a bad grade.
You won't regret taking her.
Professor Sandy is a great professor and will teach you how to prepare for a professional career. Her lectures are very interactive and won't leave you bored and wondering when class is going to end.
A great teacher who wanted students to do well and made sure each student was in the right direction toward their professional career. Assignments are on the easier side. Some unclear directions in her class but overall great teacher and class.
Professor Sandhya is a great professor who truly cares about her students, the class material is easy to understand and the lectures are very interesting to see.
Professor Sandy really cares about building our online presence. She does give us some weird in-class assignments that could help in the future. She does make us do a few presentations either in a group or by yourself so be prepared. Overall, she's a really caring and respectful teacher that wants us to succeed.
I would recommend taking this class with this professor because it's not that work heavy, and majority of the work is group work. There is some reading and presentations, but they are not terrible assignments. The only downside of this class is that the professor tries to cram in as much work as possible in little time and likes to move fast.
This class was very very simple if you go to class. There are a few presentations in class, but nothing huge. Theres no final and she is a super easy grader. Sandy is very understanding and wants the best for her students. I would 100% take this professor again.
Professor Sandy is someone who looks to get the best out of her students so she has high expectations but is also very realist in knowing what is possible to achieve. There is next to no homework in the class, and most assignments you are given enough time in class, and or are graded on presentations.
If you are looking for a great way to get your career started then take this class (SRM 240) with Professor Sandy! Reasonable person who works with students not against. She is highly motivated to help students succeed throughout their career.
Sandy was amazing. I like her a lot she is a nice person and wants to see you succeed.
Quick with assignments but very understanding and helpful
Take this class, she is awesome.
Professor Sandy has a very insightful approach to how she teaches. She is a very driven person and expects the same from her students which has made her class one of my favorites. Her assignments are practical and made to teach you how to succeed in the professional world. She's someone you want to learn from.
definitely take her if you can. I have her again next year, she cares and will prepare you for the future. she's not like another professor I have ever had
Dr. Sandy was very professional and you can tell that she cares about her students and wants all of them to do well outside of the classroom and in the real world.
A lot of presenting and public speaking.
Dr. Sandy is a good professor, and wants the best for you. She can be a little tough, and will not give you credit if you are late with an assignment. Overall the work is easy, but be prepared to go out of your comfort zone when taking her.
A lot of random assignments that will have you wondering why I am in this class. At the end of the day they all have a meaning. She really does care for you to do well. If you complete the work you will have no problem getting an A in this class.
A lot of random assignments that felt meaningless at times but showed to have a purpose later.
She is a very good professor, and the workload can be demanding sometimes but its only to help better yourself
Professor Sandy is a great professor. This class is very interactive and she forces you out of your comfort zone, which helps prepare you for the real world. The assignments are very beneficial as well. If you can take her, I would.
Lot's of assignments that are easy to do, but she gives the instructions in class so attendance is important.
Professor Sandy is an amazing person who really cares for her students and structures her class to help students set themselves up to have a successful future in the sports industry.
Good teacher, great person, class is not very organized though. Instructions for assignments are rarely posted online, so if you miss a class it is hard to find out what to do for assignments. Will also assign things very short notice.
You will learn how to build your resume and your network. She is not fast responding to emails. Overall, there were important takeaways from this class.
There is a lot of busy work but it's a good class to take and you can definitely learn a few things that you can take into your professional career with you. She is also very serious about the things she says (know your classmates names) but it was a fun class.
Dr. Sandy was a great professor who helped my entire class prepare ourselves for our professional lives. However, you must be ready for the unexpected and bare with her as she does have a plan for the course but it might not be obvious right away.
Professor Sandy is not a normal professor, meaning she does things in an unconventional way. She teaches more about professional and personal development. Each class you have assignments and that will be your grade, but no homework. Show up to class and actually try and you'll do fine. Only con is she does not respond to emails very quickly.
Professor Sandy can sometimes announce homework assignments out of nowhere but overall, the class really isn't too bad
Professor Sandy is a great professor who truly cares about her students. She showed up to every single class a couple minutes late and would sometime seem disorganized, but the work was all for the students benefit. If you want to be challenged and grow as a professional, take her.
She is very nice. You do do a decent amount of work in class time but it leads for less work outside of class. Develops skills to work in the field and is very reasonable for grading.
Great life lesson's and how to be better in the work force! Some assignments will not have a due date and a day before she will spring it on you. If taking class, aways try to stay ahead and ask LOTS of question's. Sometimes does not answer her email, text is a much better way.
Dr. Sandy is good professor, I would reccomend taking her class to anyone. The class is easy if you do the work and show up. If you are expecting a class where you just do work and can get an easy, then this not for you. This class has a lot of unexpected assignments and can be disorganized at times. She is a very nice peron and easy to talk to.
The assignments have nothing to do with what the class is supposed to be teaching you. Attendance isnt mandatory but in order to get a good grade in the class, its a good idea to go to class regularly. She can be tough with grading and gives you little to no preperation when it comes to assignment.
Dr.Sandy was an amazing professor who truly cares about her students. She prioritizes getting uncomfortable with things that aren't as familiar. Participating is huge and attendance is mandatory. Lots of availability for extra credit as well.
Good professor who assigns lots of work that can can make you uncomfortable by reaching out to new people. However she grades very lightly and getting an A is very achievable.
Dr. Manjunath is so straightforward and professional. She wants the best for you and wants you to succeed. Sometimes her instructions are confusing but if you just ask her for help she'll do her best. Attendance is mandatory so don't skip more than 3 classes or your grade will go down by letters. Kind of hard for me but I had to stop being lazy.
Dr. Sandhya, will you up for success. There are times were class is unorganized and she won't give you a lot of time to complete assignments but if you're looking to be success in the sports recreation management field she will help you succeed.
Dr. Sandy was a super nice professor who cared about her students and wanted them to succeed. There were a lot of assignments that she sprung out of nowhere during the class and it felt like she ran out of time in the semester. Overall, she was a nice professor who taught her students valuable industry skills.
Dr. Sandy is hard to break through at first, but by the end of the semester, she is less intimidating. She often puts out assignments right before they are due, giving you little time to prepare. I think she means well, but she does not update Canvas often and assigns things last minute. Communicating with her is important if you miss class.
She is nice but sometimes condescending. She grades pretty easily actually and I'm a student who doesn't put in much effort. Assignments pop up out of nowhere and at the worst times. She's a bad communicator. You'll get through the class it'll just be very annoying sometimes. You can only miss 3 classes but you won't want to miss them.
Her class is very interactive and you do have to speak in front of the class a few times, but really it's not that bad. If you're absent- you could easily miss a assignments that you won't be able to make up. She keeps it real with everyone and has a good sense of humor. Would definitely recommend her for this class.
SRM 334. she's fine but hard to understand bc of her accent. go to class, you don't rly miss anything bc the slides are posted but every class there's an easy attendance assignment that she just makes up that's due at the end of class/week that is worth 5-25 points. few easy group presentations. exams are open note take home. such an easy A. take.
straight to the point. not a hard class but a lot of presentations and group work
I absolutely LOVED my class with Professor Sandy! She taught me so many valuable things about the industry. Through her class, I was able to get so many opportunities outside of the classroom. TAKE THIS CLASS!!! It will prepare you for your future!!
Amazing professor, she makes the class so much fun. You will be presenting a lot, and it will be uncomfortable at first, but she helps with your presentation skills and for me personally, it has helped reduce my stress when presenting. She also helps you become more professional and establish connections in your field through LinkedIn.
Dr. Sandy was great. Initially she made everyone feel a little uncomfortable by making us interact with one another but in the end it helped us a lot. I would recommend her to anyone that would like to become a business professional some day. 1000% would take again
One of my favorite professors that I have personally had. Wants every student to succeed not only in her class, but in life as well.
Great class would take again. Not a lot of work but if you show up to class you will be fine.
Great professor who cares about her students. Go to class. Attendance is mandatory.
Lots of group work and presentations. some presentations are in groups others are solo. Not hard but challenging and pushes you out of your comfort zone
I honestly loved Professor Sandy. The class is presentation heavy and very interactive, but if you do your work you will get a good grade in the class. Attendance is mandatory so be prepared to miss a lot of work if you miss class.
Great professor and will push you to do your best. A lot of presentations but by the third one you will be comfortable. This class definitely gives real world experience.
Highly engaging class with lots of presentations that push you out of your comfort zone. Professor Sandy is awesome - she helps develop your skills. unstuckstudy was super useful for prepping.
Dr. Sandy is hard to break through at first, but by the end of the semester, she is less intimidating. She often puts out assignments right before they are due, giving you little time to prepare. I think she means well, but she does not update Canvas often and assigns things last minute. Communicating with her is VERY important if you're confused.
Class is easy, rarely homework.
She really wants students to succeed and reach out to her for help. She is easy to go up to and ask questions. It is important to participate during class time.
Sandy was a great professor. She can be very tough at times, but she truly cares about her students and making sure they succeed. Everything we did in her class is beneficial to the future of my career. I would definitely recommend her!
Dr. Sandy is a good professor, she is very successful in her career and wants you to succeed. There is a good amount of presentations but they are short and overall pretty easy. She does not give rubrics so if you do not go to class you will not know what to do. She is also hard to contact at times but gives both her email and phone number.
Dr. Sandy is a very caring and passionate professor. As long as you show up to class and do your work it is an easy A. She prepares you for the real world and it can be scary at first, but she is just setting you up for success. I would really recommend taking her!
Dr. Sandy is a really passionate teacher. She is demanding though, and you need to give it your all in class and do your best. Be prepared to talk in front of the class without being told in advanced. Going to her to help is a key to do good in this class!!
She is a pretty easy professor just does not post stuff on canvas so you have to pay attention and write down the details she wants for assignments
Sandy really pushes you to get out of your comfort zone and to work on your weaknesses throughout the semester. You can really tell she cares about her students. She can be pretty unorganized though with no real heads up on assignments, rubrics or just instructions for assignments so definitely go to every class as she explains that all in class.
Sandy is a good professor , something spontaneous but overall its rewarding to take her !!!
Dr. Sandy is a good professor who prepares us for the real world. There is no criteria that we learn, but we are put in spots to get experience in class.
Class was not that bad pretty easy
Dr. Sandy is a very engaging and professional professor who pushes you out of your comfort zone and prepares you for your future. As long as you show up, it's an easy A.
Great class. Pretty easy as long as you go to class and stay engaged. She can blow things out of proportion and make things bigger than they are but it makes doing the assignment a lot easier.
She can sometimes be all over the place but she is a good professor overall.
Great professor overall, actually cares about students and the work is super super easy. Lots of group projects and presentations. Some guest speakers, all homework is done in class. She can be a little much at times and does not gives many directions for homework. If you miss a class you better reach out to her you will fall behind.
Attendance is not mandatory but you do a lot of work in class so try not to miss. Very nice and approachable.
Dr.Sandy cares a lot about her students and wants them to succeed. Be prepared for lots of presentations and dressing in business casual.
Although her classes aren't mandatory, she does a lot of group presentations and in class assignments you shouldn't miss. She wasn't very organized to my liking and the class was boring, but easy.
Professor Sandhya is a fair professor with a light work-load. Although she can be unorganized at times and doesn't provide a clear rubric with certain assignments. Although is a fair grader, what you put in you'll get out.
My two complaints are no rubrics for presentation assignments as well as canvas is very unorganized. Other than that, very nice caring and passionate professor. She wants to prepare you for the real world by giving us presentations to do in certain scenarios. Pretty open minded with turning in basic assignments late. I'd take her!
Professor Sandy will push you out of your comfort zone, but it is super beneficial. She does not provide rubrics for the projects, so if you are not in class you need to ask a classmate or your screwed. She is super nice and cares about your success. I would definitely take her!
She's very kind and truly wants her students to succeed. There are small assignments and presentations, though they often come with little direction. The class feels more like an employee/employer relationship than a traditional student/teacher setup. It's a great way to build real-world skills—highly recommend for real-world job prep.
Professor Sandy is amazing! The class is super useful and definitely worth taking. There are two exams, weekly quizzes on Canvas, and weekly homework assignments. Exams are open note, which really helps. She's clear, organized, and genuinely wants you to succeed. Highly recommend!
Sandy is super nice and genuinely wants you to succeed, but the class itself was pretty mediocre. She gives a ton of busy work during class and barely lectures, so it's hard to feel like you're actually learning. Not the worst, but definitely not the most effective class.
Sandy is very nice, but doesn't give a lot of instruction, leaving students confused. She doesn't really teach, and contradicts herself when instruction is given. Easy grader, but save yourself the headache of trying to figure out what's going on just by taking another professor.
