Tannen is a great teacher. Very clear and helpful. She offers her free time to help you and takes her time in class to make sure everyone is on the same wavelength. 2 thumbs up definitely

Professor Tannen is a great teacher. She makes it fun and the time goes by fast. For me, she explains things in a way I can understand, and if I don't understand she is alway willing to help. She has rules that she expects you to go by. But she is very fair. I made sure she was teaching this class before I took it.

If math is not your stong subject, take her class. She makes it intresting and will give you unlimited help. I failed this class and then took her and got a B. I wish she taught statistics.

I can not say enough about Professor Tannen! Math is simply not my forte. She helped me in class and Math Lab, she went over the same things again and again for me. I think it was her personal mission for me to pass =) If it was not for her I'd be taking that class AGAIN. All I can say is that she is the best. THANKS PROFFESOR TANNEN!

I love this woman. I'm not a big fan of math, but she makes it pretty easy. And she has an excellent sense of humor. Easily one of the most fun classes I've had.

She is a very nice teacher. Mrs.Tannen cares but only if your care.She offers a lot of help during and after class. Pay attenton, be on time, be respectful, and do your homework. Follow those rules and you will be tannens best friend. If she sees that you are trying, then she will try harder. I must warn you stay on her good side!! No TEXTING!!!

i had her for math fund. on the first day i wasnt sure she n i were gonna get along but after the 3rd day i was so glad i had her as my professor. she is srtict but has a great teaching style and im looking forward to having her again in the fall

Great Teacher!!! Very High Energy. Before taking her class I hated math and never did well. After taking her class I am doing great and actually am considering becoming a math teacher. Not your avg. professor. Funny and alittle ADD which made for a great class!!!! So sad she is the chair of the department so I won't be able to have her again!

I wasn't sure a about Tannen at first, but after the first couple of weeks I learned to keep up with her fast paced class. The way she explains things makes learning and remembering things easy.

I took a summer express pre algebra class with Mrs Tannen and loved it! She's quick, but explains it well and doesn't mind explain it over and over again if you ask. Super HELPFUL! wish i could keep her as my professor

Professor Tannen, she is the best teacher for someone that has not been in school for years. I had her in the summer 2014 and I learned a lot in the few weeks of class. Even if the summer class is fast paced, she will take her time to explain. Love her way of teaching. I wish I could have her has my professor for my next Math class.

Proffesor Tannen will bend over backwards for you. She breaks everything down step by step and doesn't move ahead until everyone is on the same page. I was out sick for a while and she actually emailed me to see if everything was OK. Then she helped me to catch up. She rocks!

Very good teacher. She has a lot of rules but she expalains well and really tries to make it understandable. She even plays math games to try to make it bearable. I still hate math but I really like this teacher and I understand math better than I ever did.

first time I have ever understood math, but like she says in the beginning of the semester if you miss a class you will fall behind. she's tough dont get me wrong, but if you're falling behind or need help and put forward the effort she will help you.

Prof. Tannen is an amazing professor! On the first day I was extremely skeptical as she moves very quickly and I have always been absolutely terrible at math. As long as you take the class seriously and have the desire to learn, you will do fine. She is very lenient and likes to help her students. Very funny, very personable. Love her!!

Tannen is an excellent professor. I never did good in math until this class. She spends time explaining and answers questions very well and shows different methods and lets you use whatever method you understand best. She gives a lot of homework and many students don't do it but if you do, you get good practice. I highly reccomend her.

She cares. This was my second time taking this class. She explains the material 4 all 2 understand. I am bad at math. She meet with students b4 and after class 4 help. I took professor Kevin Pelton who talked about his night life and kids more than math problems. He didn't care if students were struggling. Avoid Kevin Pelton. Take her 2 pass.

Professor Tannen made me love Math again

Before this class I used to hate math with all my heart. Now I understand that the teacher you have plays an important role in every course. Not only her way to teach is the best one, but she absolutely cares about everyone understanding each topic. She will go through every step with you until you get it, just don't be shy to ask.

She's really nice and she wants you to pass! Just make sure to put time aside to study and to ask questions.

I always was so bad at math but she expalins everything very simply and gives alot of examples. Our class had to go online because of a virus and I was sure I would def fail. Her videos were great and when I needed help she spent so much time helping me on the computer and re-opened up the assignments when I asked her to. I reccomend her!

Very helpful and funny. I have not been in school for 15 years. She opens up assignments whenever you request it because she says it is more important that you learn it then miss a deadline. She says "don't be nervous, be prepared" and that has become my mantra. I NEVER did well in math until Tannen. Take her if you want to pass.

The BEST of the BEST. This is the second time I had to take this course. She explains clearly and gives a lot of examples. She's nice. Pay attention because sometimes she gives you a problem or to that's on the test. She gives a lot of HW and answers your questions but she doesn't check that you actually did it. You do have to do the online HW tho

Professor Tannen captivates neurodivergent minds! She's one of the FEW teachers I've had where I was able to keep focus in class due to her engaging teaching style. I'm grateful for her. She does all the problems on board step - by step, asks if anyone doesn't understand after each problem, and offers tutoring after school. BEST TEACHER EVER

Professor Tanen is a great math Teacher, and she is the head of math department. Professor make sure you understand even though she goes on a fast pace, and she provides tutoring in her office for you. I would take her math class any day, anytime.

She explains very clearly and genuinely cares about her students. She literally gets upset when you don't do well on a test. She also gives extra help if you go to her office. She gives a lot of homework but she doesn't check it so a lot of kids don't do it. If your serious, take her class. You'll learn math, for sure.
