I just had her and I think she is a really good teacher! The problem with the students are that they are use to regular math. You learn the same math procedures doing ordinary fun things. She is funny and she understands the problems that you might have! You cant have an easier class! She is a really nice teacher and has a lot of knowledge!

Professor Boer is so easy you have to try really hard to fail this class.

Professor Boer is a great teacher, funny and smart as well. She really cares if you don't get the material, but you have to take to her about it, she's not a mind reader. Just let her know and she will really try everything to help you understand the material. Plus she makes class fun and interesting.

Professor Boer is highly committed professor. She's very responsible and ALWAYS goes an extra mile for ALL the students. She's always available to help and stays after class if you need her. She has been extremely helpful and polite. She even read my transfer application essay and corrected it! Overall, she's a GREAT professor to have & I'm lucky!!

Brilliant woman! I don't understand why people are so critical of her because she's a great prof. I haven't had a better math teacher yet and I suck at math. She's very helpful in and out of class.

Before taking this class, I was petrified and I hated math. But after the first week of this course, it became my favorite class. Professor Boer is an amazing professor who actually helps. She breaks the work down very nicely. Some people find her sarcastic but I actually loved her humor. I strongly recommend taking her class. She's awesome!

Some people rated her low because they failed. Math isn't for everyone but she's a great person and it baffles me that people didn't really cut her any slack. She's awesome, bright and midly comedic. TAKE PROFESSOR BOER! Just do your work and study hard.

I really enjoyed being a student of Professor Boer. Her approach is unusual. She is giving a lot of examples from daily life which are also applicable to Calculus. This course was very helpful for me from mathematical and general education point of view. I'm very glad she's been my teacher throughout this semester.

She is a very nice lady who is incredibly passionate about math and willing to help you out whenever you have questions. Although she tends to talk about herself a lot, and is frequently late to class. The workload is easy - she lets you know if something will be collected or put on a test. I never bought the text, but I photocopied it when needed.

Professor Boer has a love for math and it shows in her teaching! She is fair, clear, and interesting. I took this course for math credit for my math teaching certificate and it's a lot of work attending class after teaching all day myself. Prof Boer made the class worth it, even on days I was exhausted from work. I recommend taking her as a prof.

Most of Math teachers would just teach you the formulas to calculate stuffs. But we are not learning to become a calculator. We need understanding because understanding gives you creativity, and creativity leads to success. Prof.Boer gives you that, she proves the materials and let you understand the reason behinds it. I really enjoyed the class.

She was a great and understanding teacher. Was always available after class and willing to help. Teaching material she loves to use the outside world and bring her own touch to the class room. Once you study it will be easy to pass this class

I loathe MATH...but Prof. Boer made the difference in me wanting to quit or passing this course. The lady cares for each and everyone of her students. Apart from her particular and demanding ways, she goes above and beyond to ensure that her students pass the class. This is the perfect teacher for someone who gets intimidated by math.

Overall prof. Boer wants to help students become better in math. She has been one of the best prof. to teach me math. She's not boring also uses stories to make things more understandable in whats the point of Math. Teaching 051 is tough but if you really pay attention and do all the assign homework you will pass.

Ms. Boer has an unorthodox method of teaching but it is VERY effective. She was able to teach the material to 28 students who had different ways of thinking and solving a problem, this proved to be tough but her determination got us to learn the material the way we needed to pass exams. I appreciate her kindness and the jokes she told in class.

I'm not gonna lie she can kinda get on your nerves but she's cares so much about her students. she's kinda of just like a mom lol but I was able to leave her class actually learning something. she's so passionate and I'd be willing to take her again.

I enjoyed the class a lot. If you know how to follow directions and act like the adult you want to be treated as you will pass. Easy as pie! .The Professor is extremely passionate and will offer help beyond most professors I had to make sure you understand the material. I see that professor Boers is kind of a controversial figure. While I do have to agree that she does tend to go off topic sometimes, she doesn't get enough credit. In my class she was very dedicated to making sure everyone passed. She always offered to stay after class and give personalized tutoring to anyone that needed it. She was very dedicated.

she's great for MAT100. I totally forgot it's a math class cause all we do is puzzles. You won't learn formulas and stuff like that in regular math. She's very lenient with homework. Just show up and look like you're giving an effort and its an easy A

Professor Boer loves Math and her teaching method makes you appreciate how Math works. She doesn't shove formulas down your throat and tell you memorize, she shows you how the formula works and it's amazing how easy that makes it to understand. She's usually late for class. She's very considerate and genuinely care for her students.

Prof Boer is a passionate math teacher, above all else. She has a very fun approach, likes to convey material by telling RELEVANT stories, and she's always on the look out if students don't understand something she's saying. The comments about her "making us do a research paper" make me laugh. Where do you think you are!?? This is college honey.

Prof. Boers class was my favorite this semester. Shes super funny and always has a great story to relate to the material. Very hands on and brings in items to demonstrate lessons in class. As long as you show up and participate there is no way to fail! Shes also very understanding and offers make ups & retakes if needed! Would def take her again

Easiest class yet! learned so much and it is really hard to fail her class. Took 3 exams and she always gave review sheets before to help us study, you will though have to buy the textbook or rent it online for $25 like I did because the book is used a lot. Just show up, do the hw and study for the tests and you'll get an A.

The Prof. is a good one she is very easy she does not teach heavy. she is not organized at all but her personality is really nice. She is super easy and you literally don't do much work in her class.

Professor Boer is an amazing teacher whose passion for teaching provides intellectually stimulating discussions, and encourages students to learn the why? behind math instead of memorizing equations. First off she is hilarious, most of all blunt. Don't take it personal because she has good intentions. Teaches what matters most (no nonsense like highschool). She cares about her students for sure, gave me amazing life advice and told me to chase my dreams. Do your homework, tests, attendance. She doesn't teach to trick she teaches to help!

She is really caring, and helpful to students. She gives us study materials and makes math simple for us to learn. Moreover, she shares us extra knowledge and always inspire us to chase our dream and work hard for it. I am really gonna miss her class.

As we all know, 2020 has been very rough on all of us. When I first signed up for this class it wasn't an online class, but due to the pandemic, it was. Prof Boer made my anxiety of taking an online class almost non existent. She was very patient as we were all learning this new virtual world together. Her homework and grading were very fair. A+

Prof Boer is a blunt women and funny too. I think she was having a bit of a tough semester, but she surely means no harm. Study the material, PARTICIPATE in class and youll be good. The material honestly isnt that hard but you need to do your part!!

Professor Boer in my view would be the best Math professor had the class been on campus. She is great at explaining the content clearly and will spend hours until you understand the material. She is considerate of students financial strain and opted to find us a cheaper text for class. Once you are respectful and show interest you will pass.

I had her online. Youll definitely need your textbook because it WILL come in handy especially during tests or if you didnt understand something that was taught, trust and believe the textbook will help. If we had any questions about anything or if something wasnt clear, she was available through email. Also, we were given 3 tests and a final.

I LOVE Professor Boer! She is an excellent math professor and a beautiful& hilarious individual. She is absolutely caring and so smart. Professor Boer made math 104 as understandable as possible for many of the students who weren't good at math. There isn't a lot of assignments like homework or projects, so do good on the exams, which were easy and clear. what I found helpful that she did was pairing classmates up with others who were doing well to study. I highly recommend her.

Prof Boer is a caring , kind soul. She is very understanding and is HUMAN. She gets frustrated at times and goes on rants but only because she cares !! She is very realistic and will tell you things how they are . I would definitely take her again and again if I could .

Very great Math Prof. Takes extra measures to ensure you understand, doesn't move on until then. There's always a review before a test. Spent time after class with whomever may need assistance. She does group work in class and allow everyone to participate in class activities and answering questions. Will strongly recommend.

Took this course in person. There were only three exams, which were straightforward and made easier by the professor's clear guidance on what to expect. I found the textbook online so I didn't have to purchase it, though she rarely used it. Her lecture style was simple, engaging, and easy to follow. Highly recommend her!!

I love Professor Boer's classes. She takes great care to make sure we understand, she brings medical instruments related to the topic she is teaching, which makes learning fun and easy to understand. Although she can be a bit disorganized, always late, and sometimes off-topic, her explanations are clear and she is very friendly.
