She's great. I hate early morning classes, but she made me look forward to 9AM. Fun instructor.
Awesome english insructor! She is not the easiest, but I really learned a lot from her. She got my writing skills up to college par. and beyond. Also, she is hysterical!!Laugh every class!!!
She is an excellent teacher. You will learn things you never new in her english and communications classes. Plus she is pretty hot. One of the hottest on campus.
Awesome lady, nice and know's her stuff. Teaches class great and her second class, Technical communications is great.
Pretty good teacher. Watch your due dates cause she wont remind you some times.
What a great teacher. She is the nicest, most Southern teacher I have ever met. She's fair, if a little strict, but she has a heart of gold. If you need an extension, and it's for a good reason, then she'll be more than willing to give it to you. Two T
Great teacher, and a great person. She does more than what is required, but papers were graded pretty tuff, but its still manegable. Take it if you want to learn.
Shes very snotty. I don't really like her that much. She seems to look down on people.

She is very helpful and a great choice for a teacher for this class.
SHE IS AMAZING! I've learned so much from her!! Love her teaching style alot! She knows what she is doing and has fun doing it! I want her for Comp 2!!!!
ENC1101 is a grammar perfecting class, very bland and boring. Requires reading of many essays from a book, not fun at all. Teacher grades exceptionally hard on papers (I'm an excellent writer and haven't scored over a "C"; acing all the grammatical tests, though). Probably one of the better English classes, but my friends seem to have better ones, it seems.
The couse consists of a lot of at-home reading and class discussion, but Cooper is a great professor. The tests are difficult and she is very particular when grading essays...but I suppose this all comes with the duty of being am english teacher.
She's an awesomw teacher. She's very helpful and hilarious as well. She is always trying to help you do better and is very encouraging. I had the best time in her class this past semester
She is great and tons of fun. This class isn't hard but she is pretty strict on her grading. Still a great teacher and she is really helpful all the time.
I took her and she gave me all c's in my essays. I droped Mrs. Cooper and took another teacher on Campus. The new professor I got gave me an"A" on the same essay Mrs.Cooper had given me a "C". I passed the course with a B+ with my new taecher. She teaches grammer well but she herself said," No one gets an "A" in my class".
Unlike the person below, I got an "A" in Mrs. Cooper's class. I never got above a "B" on my essays except for my research essay in which I got an "A," but she prepares her students. I aced the final exam with a phenomonal score on the essay and grammar. Go Mrs. Cooper! She's a HOTTIE!!!
Coop Is a Great Teacher. I've had her 2x and wish that I could have had her for more Literature courses. I would highly recommend her. She is tough, but fair. She prepares her students for the standardized departmental final.
Cooper is a really nice person, honest she is. She tells us the most random stories sometimes before class starts. She is an EXTREMELY nitpicky grader though, so be VERY careful with your grammar. She has a tendency to cross out words you've written and write her own in. She's a nice person but oh boy, my essays don't like her much :(
Professor Cooper was great, she taught me so much in just the Fall semester. She tells hilarious random stories every now and then, so her class is not all work and no fun. The class is not hard if you pay attention and want to learn. Whatever you do, DO NOT SHOW UP LATE! She hates that, and you will get made fun of!!!
Instead of showing you where you messed up, she lets you mess up, then points out the mistake after she's failed you. She once even stated what kind of essay's she didn't want us to write because she didn't like to read about certain subjects. Among those subjects include; Religion, Abortion..ect.
she was very biased when grading the papers. Spent too much time discussing about her childhood and every day events instead of teaching. Thought that her opinion of things was the best. Dont take her unless you want to follow by her views
She gave all my essays C's. I droped Mrs. Cooper and took another teacher on Campus. The new professorgace me an"A" on the same essay Mrs.Cooper had given me a "C". I passed the course with a B+ with my new taecher. She teaches grammer well but she herself said," No one gets an "A" in my class". She grades to her opinion not by grammer corrections
I've had her all semester, and I'm still not sure how i feel about her. She goes over things very extensively, but grades her essays HARD! She is a nice lady; however, sometimes all of her random stories get annoying. I don't think I would recommend her. I've heard other English professors are better from my friends.
I believe that she tries to make class hard for students, and she expects almost perfect essays which is impossible, when you have only 50 minutes to write the essay. She is too strict and way too stressful.
I believe that she tries to make class hard for students, and she expects almost perfect essays which is impossible, when you have only 50 minutes to write the essay. She is too strict and way too stressful.
Ms. Cooper is a very good teacher. Unfortunately, she is VERY HARD! You will NOT get an A in her class! You may get an A with extra credit. But without it, NO WAY. She teaches, she does not care if you pass or not, she is going to teach you. She wants you to figure out your mistakes on your own, and if you don't Well then it sure stinks to be you.
Mrs. Cooper's classs, although some times tough, is probably the best ENC class to take b/c it prepares you better for other classes in which you have to write essays.
Mrs. Cooper is probably the best English teacher you can have at CF. She is always willing to answer questions you have. Her class is not an easy A but it is possible unlike others said. She grades essays hard, but the tests are very easy(except the final!)
Very, very, very hard, but if you work hard, and if you really want to learn, you'll do well. Even if you don't get an A or a B (most don't) she will really teach you how to write WELL. Most students aren't happy with their grade, but they're happy they took her because they know how to write very, very well. Excellent teacher. Don't expect an A.
Amazing professor. Somewhat hard work, but that's the whole point of the class, to LEARN IT. Would definitely take another class with this professor.
She grades to opinion, not just by rules. Not helpful when you ask her questions. Southern accents don't bother me, but saying "Mmmkay" after every sentence does. Only teacher for Tech Com, so if you plan on taking that course, you're stuck :/
She is a great writer but nobody lives up to her standards. She red pens everything because she feels it can be different. DO NOT TAKE
She is a good, funny teacher. She is a little tough when it comes to grading your papers but gived you the opportunity to proofread your work in class by others in class. I liked her, I would take her again
Ms.Cooper is clear and consice about her expectations, yet she is fair and fun-loving as well... She is a pleasure to have as a professor and I recommend her for any class she teaches.
AWESOME TEACHER!!! very clear at teaching, very sweet lady. Stickler for being on time, but thats about it. Liked her class so much, taking it for enc1102..
Best professor I ever had. Best dresser on campus. Likes to break into song for no reason. If you want to be her friend, bring her a lizard.
She is tough but makes sure that you are well prepared for your final exam. All materials are presented in interesting. You are given plenty of time to finish assignments and she is very fair in making sure that all students understand what is expected in her class. I love her class.
This is probably the best English teacher i have had although it was a hard class, especially in summer. I will say that I did not know the rules of academic writing and since taking her class I now do. I thought I would never pass but I got an A by really trying. She is pretty fun and she seems to be very interested in what she teaches.
I have had Mrs. Cooper for both 1101 and 1102. She is great. She goes above and beyond for her students. I know that I wouldn't have been accepted to FSU without her. She gave me the skills I need for academic writing. She makes the class fun. And by the way, don't get overwhelmed by the course outline. She will give you everything you need.
great teacher, loved her. class is hard, but enjoyable. i still keep in contact with her, she really does care about her students. as long as you try, she'll be glad to help you.
Like most have said, it's impossible to get an A in the class. She red pens nearly everything on an essay. However, she is funny. Very easy going in class, loves what she teaches. The class is not a bad experience, but you will not do well if you dont read and put in a decent effort. Although it was sometimes a struggle, I took alot from the class.
She jumps straight into material and does not slow down.
The best teacher at CF.
Good teacher but I dreaded going to class because it was boring. She sometimes tells funny stories but thats all thats funny. Never be late for class, she will scold you in front entire class.
Best teacher. You might not get an A in her class, but you will definitely learn academic writing. She is very funny and helpful. Don't be late for her class! and don't even think about not turning your cell phone off! English is not my first language and this class taught me everything from punctuation to writing structure. I love her class.
I had almost an A throughout the class and then Mrs. C came to the conclusion that I plagiarized on my last paper for the class. Even though I had proof that I did not, she failed me for the class.
Looking back, I dont see how I failed this class. She is a great tecaher. The grades mostly came from essay that count 70% of the total grade. The others points came from test and attendance. I failed this class becasue I did bad on my take home essays. Extra credit count as test grade and she gives alot of e.c., So do good on your take home essays
She is wonderful! She loves what she teaches, and she loves the students! That is, as long as they're not late to class or play with their cell phone while in her class. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask. As long as you read text before class and pay attention in class, you'll do fine! There are not "out of the blue" questions on her tests.
She is horrable as a prof. She bounces every which way in her lectures, shes moody and WAY over emotional about her students leaving class or attendence. Im a wiz at LIT, and she pretty much failed me because i didnt understand her teaching style, no power points, no explination, if you care about getting a good grade at all. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
Passable with the EC. Strict essay grader. Grammar tests are hard. I am nearly done with my CS Major at UCF (~3.5 GPA in major), and looking back this would be the hardest class for me to get an A in. I managed a B or better on the Engineering weeder classes (Calc2, Phys2, PhysI) some years after failing this class.
Engilsh has never been my best subject, and Mrs. Cooper's classes were hard for me...but I took three of her classes. She takes no crap so be on time and get your stuff in. However she is simpathetic to actual problems you may be having. One of my all time faverite professors.
Ms C. is a great prof. and very helpful. she would meet with us once a week to prepare for the grammer tests. All she asks is that the student does what is supposed to be done. Be on time. Turn in your work on time and put real effort into the essays and you will be fine. I attended a summer session and it was intense but I passed.
i did not like this teacher very much is kind of hard to get a good grade on any thing. gives quizzes once in while when you least expected and are not ready. the only way you might get a good grade is if you pay attention all the time and if you take note on every word she says.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!SHE IS SO HARD AND SHOWS FAVORITISM TO CERTAIN STUDENTS. BE PREPARED FOR POP QUIZZES, BECAUSE SHE LIKES TO GIVE THEM. HER GRADING IS ALSO UNFAIR. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT TAKE HER.
Mrs.Cooper is a great teacher! She does have problems with skipping or texting her class. Material is covered clearly and test questions are cover in class and/or on homework and I've taken three of her classes
I LOVE Mrs. Cooper. I had a different teacher for ENC 1101, who made me the class feel like Kindergarten. I wanted a more serious class, and Mrs. Cooper was the answer. Very firm, but all you need to do is read the stories, and study the grammar, and you'll pass with no problem.
One of the worst teachers at CF! I took her for ENC1101 and HATED this class! I only scraped through with a B because the final exam is graded by someone other than your professor and I aced it. She shows bad favoritism and grades very unfairly!
DO NOT TAKE HER FOR ANYTHING. You will regret it. Pop Quiz queen, Zero tolerate for cell phone, She talks her lecture, expects for you to write everything. Neva stays on tasks, You write in a journal everyday. Its crazy.. Im telling you, you gonna wish you had not takin her class.
Worst teacher I have ever had. Essays all returned covered in red pen making it impossible to earn a good grade. Does not communicate well, rude response to emails if any at all. Tests were not difficult.
I had Mrs. Cooper for both ENC 1101 and 1102 and I really liked her. She's happy and can laugh at funny stuff while being serious. I had her in class for 1101 and online for 1102. In class is better, imo. She hates for you to be late or have cell phone go off, but just be a responsible, respectful student and you should be fine. I really liked her.
Really good professor. Gets very excited about the works read in class and is very clear on what she expects on papers. More than willing to explain how to improve one's work.
Very difficult teacher, does not have a very clar grading system. Does not allow the students to see the test,to see what they missed but expects you to take the final with the same questions. Not a very clear teacher.
Teacher does not respond to emails. Grades are not issued in a timely manner. Make sure to site all of your resources no matter what. Accused of pagerism because citings were not listed properly.
My online class with Mrs. Cooper was very pleasant. If you put in the time and effort you're sure to get a good grade.
Sandra Cooper was definitely the worst professor I've ever had. Rarely responds to emails; extremely rude when she did. I've seen people on here say that she loves to help the students, but I've never witnessed that miracle. All I wanted was for her to elaborate on her criticisms, but I guess that was too much to ask. Be wary of taking her class.
She grades super tough. Tests are confusing and also she is a strict grader. The grading system is weird too... So I didn't know what I had until the end. Get ready to do A LOT of reading. Her email responses are short and somewhat rude but, If you meet her in person she is awesome. Can't see correct answers on test and exam is based on tests.
Mrs. Cooper makes it clear she does not care at all about her students. She gives extremely unclear instructions and changes assignment requirements constantly, making it hard to give her exactly what she's looking for. She's a super harsh essay grader also, and loves to leave rude, sarcastic comments on papers. Taking her was a big mistake!
Professor Cooper is by far the best professor I've had since starting school. She is tough, but always there to help when needed, and one of the fairest teachers I've had thus far. Definitely a 5 star professor for English!
She great
So nice and easy. Rarely homework if so just easy quizzes online
Very caring and understanding teacher. Inspirational, hilarious, amazing lectures. I wish she taught everything
This class was pretty easy going until it came to her essays. I did really good on all assignments and got A's but she graded the essays pretty difficultly. I had an A in her class all semester until after she graded the last essay.
Mrs. Cooper is a mixed bag. She cares about students but she's cliquey. She talks about her husband Prof. Ron Cooper too much. Self-important. The grading seemed unfair at times. I felt that some of the questions interpretive (it's literature), but her opinion overrules. Don't miss or be late! All tests are essay answers, very long, hard grader.
Little communication, really political in class
Very picky. If she knows you didnt do something, she purposefully tests you on it so that you wont pass. She is, however, pretty clear on grading criteria. She talks super fast in class and switches up during lectures, so its hard to stay on track.
I learned so much in Mrs. Coopers class. I was never a good essay writer until I had her class. Really nice and if you pay attention you will pass. Just make sure you dont have your phone on ring and out unless she tells you.
She has funny stories. But she is very "iffy" depends on what her mood is. I would't retake this class with her. She takes forever to grade papers so you honestly wont know what your grade is until the semester is over, which sucks.
Professor Cooper is one of THE BEST teachers I've ever encountered. Her choice of assignments are very interesting. Even to someone who doesn't like subject. EASY. Shes good at responding and prompt on grading. You'll have short quizzes and discussion post every week. She provides you with poems etc so book isn't necessary. Light work
Mrs. Cooper is decent. She does ramble a lot about her family and where she comes from. At times it would take up most of our class time. She cares about grammar a lot as well. Her lectures are confusing. Most of the times I would have no idea what the lecture was talking about, or how it connected with assignments she gave us.
She rambles on and on about events in her life that doesnt correlate to the lesson plan she gives. She has slick remarks to her students and multiple students have come to her after class to discuss her disrespectful tone and behavior. For example: she will give a rude remark to a student in front of class for minors things. Thats embarrassing
Professor Cooper is a very funny and outgoing teacher. Her accent is by far the best thing to ever exist, too. If you are struggling with her class, shoot her an email or go to her during office hours and talk to her. She is really understanding and helped me when I needed it. I truly recommend her as a professor in ENC1101.
She gives lots of homework. I had an A the whole semester. All of a sudden, at the end, it turned into a C, which is what I finished the class with. She is terrible at answering questions and seemed a little rude while answering. Wouldn't take her class again.
Mrs. Cooper did not assign to much work to where it was unbearable, but there was almost an essay each week. She took forever to respond, and would never answer the exact question you asked. It took her over two months to grade some of my assignments after I repeatedly emailed her about them, making me not able to see my accurate grade most of time
Professor Cooper's class was very easy considering I'm not the biggest fan of literature. Her lectures were very helpful, and her attitude in the classroom is so fun! I recommend taking this course.
Professor Cooper was a good ENC teacher. I have taken this class once before at another college and dropped out because I did not like the teacher at all. She made writing essays, which I hate to do, tolerable.
I took Professor Cooper for my LIT2120 class fully online. She was very respectful and kind! You can pretty much reach out to her with anything and she will most likely be ready with a response. If you're that type of student that wants feedback, she always marks out essays and assignments. As long as you do the work regularly then you will pass.
I had Professor Cooper for a hybrid class and she was I of my most favorite teachers. She gave great, indepth lectures. She always shared funny stories about herself and made you feel welcome to share out. I found the work to be reasonably spread out. I would say she gave about 3 weeks to do one essay by breaking in into multiple journal entries.
prof. cooper had multiple errors this semester. she is a very late grader and back tracks on grades. so you'll see an A for an assignment at first then later, a lower grade after she annotates it. she will also not grade your assignment unless you go to her in person because she will also not answer to any emails. will not take her again.
Answered emails and is clearly passionate about literature. Weirdly though, Tests were only available to start on Saturday, so even if you were ready to take the test on Wednesday or something u couldn't and u only had from Saturday to Sunday to take it. Overall I'm very satisfied with the Professor and the class.
This class lectures is so unnecessary. She rambles about her life for a whole hour and you learn nothing. There is total of three essays but she gives filler assignments that count for a few points. She does not give clear feedback with the filler assignments, so when you do the essay that's when all the feedback comes and it's too late to fix it.
She would make us do essays but feedback was unclear at times. Her in-class lectures were her just rambling on for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Some work would be on Achieve Online but there was never any sort of notification regarding assignments that were due and you would have to constantly check to see if anything was assigned. Would not recommend.
Horrible professor. She gave me an F on my last essay. She said I plagiarized. Even though I cited my sources. She gave no other explanation. I begged to redo it. She allowed me. Then she gave me another F on the redo and said I plagiarized AGAIN!! Mind me she never put notes in my essay stating where I plagiarized or helped me.. when I asked!
Unreasonable amount of busywork. Messy Modules. You have to triple-check all modules to find everything due in the week because she regularly mixes them into other modules (she keeps them out of order). She warns her classes that most fail her class. She says it is because her class is hard. It's not. Her execution is just ineffective.
Her organization and consistency was well-implemented. She responded quickly with valuable information to messages. However, she never gave feedback or communicated beyond students reaching out. I'd have appreciated to have more feedback since it felt like I didn't gain much skill or learn too much. It felt like an easy A.
Professor Cooper's class had mixed reviews. While some found the workload manageable, others felt the assignments lacked clarity. Unstuck study proved invaluable for studying and preparing essays. Overall, a challenging but rewarding experience.
she is extremely passive aggressive towards students, it doesn't seem like she enjoys teaching, her teaching style is very chaotic and she doesn't ever seem to have a plan for the day and give mostly busy work that isn't related to the modules, the modules are unorganized, she spends most of class time talking about unrelated things
It's an online class so don't expect much she is slower to respond to emails and the only thing "bad" is the lack of communication if you have trouble with comprehension this is not the class for you.
I would say her class is very well organized. However, her lecture classes are meaningless to go to. I feel like I took the class on my own.
