She knows everything about accounting info systems.

Always willing to go the extra mile for a student. Tries to keep intrest on a boring topic but its hard to do so. Sometimes goes to fast and does not pay attention to her audience. Study for the quizes!!!! These will save you. The Exams are difficult!

She has great teaching techniques. I've never be bored in her class. She teaches you a lot of Ethics and give real life examples. I took the first exam. There are 80 questions. The outside class projects are difficult, and she give many of them. Every week the project is due. It's a busy class.

Good teacher, very helpful for a hard subject

Mrs. Devona skills in teaching-great explaination. But, she gives overload assignments, and projects. Her tests are very difficult. The class avg usually is around 74%.

Great professor. The material is difficult and she covers a lot of it while hitting you with projects, but you'll definitely come out thinking it was worthwhile. Only complaint is she's vague on what is going to be covered for tests (don't just focus on the lecture material).

She's an awesome teacher. Explains the material very thuroughly and if you have questions on anything is more than willing to help. Prepares you for the tests- all you have to do is attend class.

She's a good teacher and very helpful, but sometimes her brain doesn't communicate with her mouth or hand. Screws up problems on the board and explinations. Just pay attention, and if you get a different answer ask her about it, she makes lots of mistakes. Study for tests hard, some questions are really confusing.

Mrs devona is a great teacher, willing to help and goes out of her way to try to make the class a little easier. This class is a lot harder than 206 but she does a good job helping you adjust. I am looking forward to taking her acct 310 class next year and would reccomend to any one.......A+ prof

She is very knowledgeable about accounting information systems and yes, there is quite a bit of work involved with the class but I felt they were worthwhile in learning the subject. Just keep up with the reading and do not wait until last minute to work on projects and you'll be fine.

Good instructor. She has little control over the material, but is very clear & knowledgeable. Best of the three 207 instructors from what I've heard.

She is one of my favorite teachers. She is super nice and I think one of the best accy teachers. She is so helpful and teachers the material so you can really understand it. She wants you to do good and if you attend class, you most likely will. I did sooo good on the test because of her. I would take her for every accy course she teachers.

She was fine as a Prof, the project was a bit of an over kill, but that seems to be the COB way! Her tests were very managable and she does help you to understand info systems.

Professor Devona is very nice and approachable with questions. I did not like the fact that she did not show up much for the 310S class, but if you ask the TA he will help you.

My friends wish they would have taken her rather than Gilbert for this class. She was very helpful, attend class and pay attention and this class is pretty easy. Use all the review materials and take the quizzes online from the text book website and the exams will be easy.

I believe Sandra is a great teacher. She explains the information thoroughly and in great detail. She helps as much as she possible can. Sometimes a few questions on here exams are tricky, but as long as you review the review sheet and attend class you shouldn't have problems.

I really like Devona as a professor. She was, very easy to understand. She didn't try to make the material any harder than it had to be. She put things in laymans terms so everyone could understand what she was teaching, and is extremely helpful. Also, the class was very organized. There were no surprises. I recommend this class.

Pretty easy class. Didn't read the book at all and still got a B. Just go to class and its an easy B. Excels are not hard because she shows you how to do them before they are due and sometimes gives you the answers.

She is a good teacher, but the tests are really hard. Do well on all of the excels and take home quizes, and make sure to study A LOT for the tests. I got a 76 and got a C if that helps you guys measure out the curve at all.

She's very nice. Her tests have a lot of "except for" and "not" questions. Her wording on the exams are really really tricky. Read the question twice. Once I got my exam back, I said to myself "oh how did I miss this easy question?". That's how tricky her wording is. Study her review sheets. cuz thats where most of the questions come from.

She gives 32 extra credit questions. I got all those points. Thats y I ended up with a B in class. Plus, she plays a game called "who wants to be a CPA?". If you're not in class when she plays the game, you lose up to 3 points. Dont let that happen, cuz those points will help you a lot at the end. 310S is loaded with projects every week. its a lott

Devona is a good teacher and will help you understand the material. For tests-use her study guides and you'll be good. group proj. is alotta work. Tests are majority MC and some show ur work. I averaged 88% on 3 tests and final and did all EC and ended up w/ 94%, dont blow off this class and put some effort in and you can get an A or B no problem.

Challenging class. Group project and tests were on the difficult side. She is an okay teacher, but not the best I've had. Her personality is kind of aloof, so it's hard to get on her good side, but I do think she treats people fairly. You will probably get as much out of this class as you put into it. Don't slack off in this class!

She is a good teacher and will always help you out with any questions you have. The course itself needs to be improved, not the teacher. Everyone does so bad, the final grade is curved so only a few people don't pass. She wasn't a bad teacher for the material you had to learn.

Class is not difficult but not easy either.You have to pay attention and go to class in order to get an A. She is very knowledgeable and teaches things well, the only thing is she goes through solutions really fast and sometimes it's hard to keep up.She comes off like she gets annoyed when she feels like you are asking a question you should know.

The class and material is really hard, make no mistake on that. But I think she is a fair teacher. Stay on top of your stuff and study for her exams. She also offers 17 extra credit, so take advantage of those!

Professor is fair enough, it was an interesting class. I think all this SUA's could be improved. TA's also did a good job.

Class material can be diffiult to understand at the conceptual level. She is very open to help if you ask for it.

Devona is hands down the greatest accounting professor out there Be sure to be in class because you can only get the extra credit for the in-class exercises if you're there when they're handed out. Exams are kind of hard, but she builds a curve into the class with all of her extra credit. You're my favorite professor Mrs. Devona.

She is the greatest. You can tell she actually cares about her students and wants them to do good. If you have to take accounting then she is your professor, she's also not too bad to look at. I loved her class, it's because of her that I switched my major to accounting. You're the best professor Devona.

She's an awesome professor. She's very knowledgeable about fraud and internal controls, and her examples from her work experience in auditing were interesting during lectures. I'd recommend reading the book and taking notes from it, as well as paying attention in class. Definitely take advantage of the extra-credit.

I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Devona's class. Her lecture was not lengthy but concise and helpful. Textbook problems were assigned but not collected. The attendance was not mandatory, but there were always short in-class exercises that were graded. Her exams were not too difficult but challenging. She tested to make sure that you understood.

I think she is such a great teacher. She understands how to teach to students that have never been exposed to this topic before. She has very good examples and is very thorough. She goes through end of problem questions step by step. I HIGHLY recommend doing the SUA with a friend or two. The class isn't easy, but definitely doable.

I toke the online version of this class and enjoyed it. She provides clear expectations, materials to study for test, and youtube videos of herself explaining end of chapter problems. You will need to know the material well to pass exams but the exams cover the material on her study guides; no surprises. Weekly quizzes and homework assignments.

Took the online version. Very clear on what is required and sticks to the syllabus. Exams are hard, but I've seen worse. She posts videos of herself explaining some of the exercises. She posts study guides for the 4 exams, and there are no surprises on the exams. Just study what's on the study guides and you should do fine.
