She's a really intelligent person and a great teacher if you want to learn.
Dr Fraley adds fun to a long lecture while teaching with enthusiasm. She has an excellent personality, she is willing to spend the time needed to get students to learn the required information, and overall she adds spice to learning.
Dr. Fraley was the most knowledgable professor I have ever had at Dutchess. Her way of teaching was amazing. I hated Bio and after a few of her classes I looked foward to attending class. She is just amazing.
This course covers a lot of material, Dr.Fraley makes it easy to understand. She ties concepts together so that it all makes sense. All around very good experience in her class!

Just completed this course over the summer, was very intense! A lot of material was covered in a short time. I don't think I would have made it if not for Dr.Fraley's excellent course notes. Definitely the professor for bio 110 in the summer! She's great
this teacher made lab very fun and interesting. she also was very motivating and informative in every lab. she was also was very eager and excited to help us with any questions we has. She also made herself very accessiable to the class.
Excellent teacher, if you study the very clear blackboard notes,all the tests are very fair and quite easy. You just have to put in the time.
Dr. Fraley is very informative and clear. She helps clarify what the book says by posting her notes on blackboard, and also answers questions clearly, and with answers that make sense! Rather than teaching "from the text", as many teachers do, she uses practical, every day examples that really help the information stick, and make good sense!
Dr. Fraley is the best she cares about her students. Her tests come from her blackboard notes, there are no trick questions. She is a very well educated woman and tries to relate many biological processes to real life in order to get the students to understand. She's one of the easier bio teachers that want her students to pass unlike Mazza & Eames
I enjoyed Dr. Fraley's class and feel it has prepared me for Anatomy II and also for my nursing courses. The material was very difficult but Dr. Fraley helped me understand it in a clear and concise way. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn anatomy and also incorporate it into their nursing classes.
Dr. Fraley was the absolute BEST teacher for Anatomy & Physiology- Please take my word on that! Her notes and lecture make perfect sense and it is easy to walk away from that class with knowledge of the material! Tests are very straightforward- no tricks. I definitely recommend her!!!
Dr. Fraley is a great teacher, she provides many examples to illustrate points and she doesn't pull any tricks. She's also very good with the business end of the class, very timely in grading and informing using Blackboard.

She explains things thoroughly and her powerpoints are better than the textbook. If you keep up with the assignments and study for the exams, you will do well. She's always willing to answer questions and is a fair grader. I wish I could have more professors like her!

I had a couple problems with this teacher. The problems were little but really annoying and unnecessary. Her tests are really hard. but she does have good notes and she doesn't require lab reports. as long as you study and study and study you will do good.
The summer class is very tough. There is no open lab time, and this professor does not want to answer questions. Tests are very hard. An example question would have the possible answers: A;B; C; A&B; All but C: or all of the above.If that makes sense! Even if you know the material, these questions will do a good job of tripping you up.
she made easy bio 101 into hell for so many students! she was useless as a teacher, the book got me through the class. at the end of the semester she realized everyone was failed and made tests take home. i advise not taking her. she seemed like she hated life.
She is a really difficult teacher, and expects you to REALLY know the material. I learned a lot, but it was a real struggle.
While I can appreciate detail she goes into detail at unnecessary lengths. It really becomes a burden and makes it difficult to really grasp any one concept, b/c it becomes to much to remember and understand.Her test are a challenge and just when you think you know the material her test proves you very wrong. Surprised no complaints have been made

i gave up the last two test because i couldn't take it anymore, things that she asked in the exams are often things that she didn't go through on lecture, and she speaks very low and fast you don't really have time to take notes.

overall i hated this teacher. she failed me twice and i tried as hard as a possibly could. she was never available to help students and her tests were the hardest ive ever taken. ive never failed a class before.
She really knows the material! the tests are hard but if you are willing to study and put forth the effort you will do fine! It's hard work but she makes you really know the material! I'm glad I had her as a teacher for 131 & 132- i feel prepared.
I advise people to not take her. I am currently in her class and am passing. She is not very nice.... nasty is the word. If you do bad on a test she calls you out in front of the whole class by saying you need a tutor. RIDICULOUS AND RUDE!! Don't waste your time. she makes you feel very uncomfortable. She knows her stuff but is EXTREMELY nasty!!!!
I passed this class.. but she made my whole class feel like we're all "behind the eight ball". She was not very helpful. She was monotoned which made me fall asleep. She also spoke too fast for me to take clear notes. I basically had to teach myself by reading the text book numerous times. I wish I had a different teacher.

I took Dr. Fraley for 131 and 132. She is NOT easy. IF you want to be a nurse and expect to take easy classes, you're in the wrong field. Nursing is not easy, Fraley is preparing you for the real world.If you can succeed with fraley, you have a chance in nursing.PS- She's a softee, just doesn't want to show it ;-D
Very boring teacher. I advise you not to take her if you want to do well. She is hard to talk to and she expects you to know everything. Not enthusiastic at all especially with her monotone voice. I was extremely frustrated with her. It was the worst class that I took at Dutchess so far. There are so many better teachers.
Well, Dr. Fraley definitely knows what she is talking about. She is an incredibly smart woman, but she is craazy hard and can be a little rude to students at times... If you don't want a difficult teacher, don't take her. But on the other hand, she is probably one of the better teachers.
Such a brilliant woman. I found her lectures fascinating. She definitely does not give away the material for the test and she has very high expectations of you because of the profession she is preparing you for. Not an easy class! but if you really want to learn the stuff and are up for the challenge, you will love her.

Dr. Fraley is a no-nonsense professor. Contraire to some comments, she is approachable and willing to help you understand the material in her office hours. She is more than willing to sit with you and explain anything you want to know. She knows who is interested and who is not. Do the work and you will be rewarded.

Easiness = 1 b/c she will ask VERY specific questions that were glossed over during class/unclear in test material. Helpfulness = 2 b/c she answers questions with rolling of eyes and sarcasm so be prepared! Also look forward to "you're going to kill your patient" if you answer something wrong in lab. She is very bright with great notes. AVOID!!!!!
very knoledgeable teacher. not approachable. she did not us the time of class well. talked very fast, and used minutia details on exams. talked like the students were in medical school. fair point system if you could get passed the exam questions. very rude and did not like questions. often said, "well think about it,or Look it up".terrible
Very rude. She has no problems with singling out students and embarassing them in front of the entire class. She budgets class time poorly and speaks down on her students in class. Her favorite quote is "You should already know this". Don't bother asking questions in class, she'll make it clear she thinks you're an idiot.
Dr. Fraley is very knowledgeable but rude, impatient, and way too demanding. Its almost like she makes the material harder to learn. She is unapproachable and will embarass you in front of the class if you ask a question she doesn't like. I wouldnt recommend taking any of her classes. Her test are also ridculously hard...
She is a very helpful person. All these comments about her being nasty is ridiculous. The comment about her holding you hand is correct, she won't. If you show her that you are there to learn and see her with any of your questions, she will have no problem helping you. She is tough, but she is preparing you for nursing, because it is not easy!
VERY rude. Made the class confusing. Always had an attitude. Tests did not match up to what she told us to study. Very sneaky with testing because she would throw in trick questions. She is a very smart woman but does not show any interest in us or respect.
She is hard, the tests are exactly what she talks about from lecture.Just study,go to open lab, read the text and go in class with open ears, and a notebook and you'll do fine. She will answer any questions at office hours, don't worry about her being "unapproachable" behavior JUST ASK HER. Most of the students were just scared.
BIO 131 is a lot of info. The tests are hard if you don't study. She's clear in lecture what she wants you to study. SHE WILL ANSWER QUESTIONS!!! The students below just didn't ask, so go to her office hours or make an appointment. No matter who you take, you have to do the work to pass it. I'd pick Fraley again, she knows it well and will help you
Hard class, I failed it the first time. The second time with Fraley I understood more as the info came. Tests were straight forward, exactly what she talked about in lecture. Open your book, come to class, study, ask questions and you'll pass.
Last spring, now Fall 13'. 131 tests were hard but not as hard as they are in 132.She will answer questions, just get passed her attitude and listen.She has bad people skills. She's nicer than doctors, so she prepares you how to act. I just wish tests were a little easier.

she didn't seem too excited to be teaching the information. unfortunately for my class a lot of the students dropped out of her class. her labs weren't really explained well, she expected us to know already what to do in the lab just from reading the manual in advance. also on her labs she makes you do many graphs which were a pain.
Fraley is a tough teacher. I did well in her class but I really had to work for that grade. She's the type that expects you to already know the material shes about to talk about in lecture and lab. She's a very knowledgeable woman, but it's a shame she has such an attitude. If she was more approachable I think I would've gotten more from her class

Come to class prepared, she gives A LOT of pop quizzes. Make sure you know the lab material when you come she expects you to know it. She is not very approachable.

She is very smart and good at explaining things in the lectures. Her problem is she HATES helping people. She told a guy to "see me at my office hours" when he asked for help. Also, her tests are extremely hard. You need to know outside information to do good and you HAVE TO STUDY FOR HOURS to get a good grade. Tough teacher and tough grader.
I had her for two bio classes. Very smart woman but is not approchable. Her questions on tests were often confusing in wording. Be ready to read the textbook and assigments, assignment quizzes are tough same with exams. Her powerpoints are of no help so whenever she is talking in lecture be sure you write her information. Made the semester hard.
She is a smart person but possibly the worst professor i have ever had. Her lectures are very different from her tests. She does not post any of her notes online nor guide you in any way. Someone as unpleasant and rude as her should not be teaching. She does not care about your grade no matter how hard you try in her class. Save yourself from her.

I understand that going into each class you should be caught up on your reading and know what you are doing, but she expects you to already be a doctor going into the class. She is extremely rude and is not afraid to yell and make you feel dumb. If you have the chance to take anatomy with someone else I strongly recommend it, if not, good luck!

Although she is a tough grader, she is so smart and a very nice lady. You need to work hard to pass this class! She is so smart that her lectures are rambles & it is sometimes hard to keep up. Fraley is a condescending professor that truly seems to hate teaching. She belittles and embarrasses students and has told people to drop her class. She reads off of her powerpoints and will answer questions but isn't great at explaining. Tests are largely based off powerpoints that are accessible online and labs are mostly for labeling models.

learning is the hardest job you could've asked for but knowledge is best payback. Anatomy and Physiology is not a philosophical course, it's not a debate and it's not a guessing game. At the end it's either you know or you don't. And there's a lot to know. I spend 4 hours a day everyday studying. Thank you and I loved every minute of it.

Fraley will either be your greatest tool or your biggest downfall. Success in her class will depend on how much youre willing to put in. Sure, shes not the most upbeat, but she is smart, she will help you & she will prepare you for your nursing career. TIP-All answers to her tests are in the textbook, take the time to read/study it & youll get an A
Professor Fraley is a great professor. Although, you definitely work for your grade. If you are majoring in nursing (like me) I would recommend her. She relates the teaching to what you will need to know for nursing in the future. I feel she is preparing me to succeed.

Fraley is a super smart women but she has no teaching skills, no teacher has ever made me feel as stupid as she has. Her lecture exams are externally difficult with tricky questions and her lab exams are super hard considering she doesnt help give any direction of what you will be tested on. My advice is to try and switch to a different teacher

Always made me feel stupid when I asked questions, shows favorites students that get A. Lots of students drop the class cause of failing. When going to office hours she is rude and tells you to read the textbook.
VERY tough class, but the most rewarding. Had to study every night and come to lecture with previous material memorized. Do NOT fall behind. Yes, it's true that she is not friendly and approachable, but there are still other resources to succeed. I still got an A without her help. No excuses! Her class is great prep for the DCC nursing program.

Absolutley horrible. I had her as my lab professor for bio 106 and she literally targeted me and a couple other people in the class for no reason, very unfair. I ended up dropping because I couldn't deal with her and the lecture professor didn't allow me to switch h into his lab. Do yourself a favor and never take her class or lab ever.
While it is clear she is intelligent, she is rude and cold. She takes points for spelling mistakes despite the fact that every test I have taken with her has major misspellings and grammar errors. She is condescending. You should feel comfortable going to your professor for help, but not with her. Awful, never want to take again.

Dr. Fraley made me feel bad anytime I asked a simple question wether it was about due dates and or classwork. Shes rude to me and my classmates and went out of her way to make us feel bad for not getting the best grades. I went to almost every lab and lecture but somehow it was my fault that i wasnt retaining every little bit of information. 0/10
I answered questions with information straight out of the textbook and would still get marked wrong. There would be very little explanation as to how I was wrong. Questions where very confusing and worderd poorly. Overall just frustrating.
She is clear with her expectations. You will succeed as long as you devote yourself. The class I took was a prerequisite for nursing. She explained several times the importance of detail in this field. Like lives are literally on the line and fatality can be caused simply by a misplaced decimal. She is genuinely rly nice toward you if you commit.

She means well. She is a hard grader and tough teacher, but if you put in the work and study you will do good. Its a great class, challenging but rewarding in the end. She explains a lot, and even talks about future stuff we will be learning about in future Bio classes. I would taker her again.

This professor is the worse teacher I have ever had. She does not care about her students and grades almost every test incorrectly and when you ask her about it she has an attitude. She is never friendly or easy to approach. She seems like she is forced to be here. Labs are very confusing, don't even bothering asking for help. Don't ever take her.

If you email with any questions she doesn't like she won't respond. She could care less if you pass or fail. I regret ever taking her, so if you're thinking about it just don't.
Horrible communication with students and rude.
Wasn't a hard class. Assignments are quite easy. The main assignment is just the lab presentation you have to do at the end the semester, but you have half the semester to do it. Sometimes communication is not the best, but she is always available if you have any questions.
Professor Fraley is undoubtedly brilliant, but her teaching style can be cold and intimidating. The material is challenging, yet with diligent study using resources like Unstuck AI, I was able to succeed in the class.

I have taken time out of class, due to personal reasons, and she has outed me in front of everyone behind my back. She does not assign homework but only exams every week. I wish I had someone else during this time.
Had this professor for an accelerated summer Anatomy and physiology online class. Her grading criteria is brutal with no partial credit even if questions are worth 5 pts. Very bad communication and lots of technical issues with the Brightspace platform as well as many typos on tests and assignments. very rude, not helpful or encouraging.
