I highly recommend her! She was a great teacher and really helpful. Take her if you can. At first she seems very hard, but it gets better. the only thing is, it seems like all of our readings/papers had to do with racial issues.

Awesome teacher. Super nice and very helpful. Not a hard grader if you at least try on your essays. You'll love her class!

Very helpful teacher but not the easiest one around. If you could find a better teacher, take that teacher. She said from day 1 she gives no A's. I never got 1, and I think only 1 person did the whole sesmester. Lots of papers on racial issues, especially pertaining to the LA roits of 92'.

she is an OK teacher. Likes to grill you. Do all the work or you will get an F in the class. Getting an A or B in the class is very unlikely. I did everything that was assigned in class and I still got a C. She is very picky about the papers. Don't talk in class or she will get pissed off

She's a good teacher, with numorous life experiances to back up her lectures. If willing to work hard and listen, her class will be an awesome foundation for future refrence.

She was one of the best teachers I have ever had. I got an A even though I added the class late and missed a lot of days. She is awesome.

Her class is not super hard, but not super easy either. 3 or 4 essays + in-class essays. Attendance is not that critical, but participate in class, then she will help you a lot.

She's so cool and loves to go on tangents as long as they are loosely related to the topic.

She has a cool personality and our class really clicked well but she is not easy on grading and will tell you the paper is good then get a C its weird. Her in class essay are insane dont take unless you like to write and are really good. Oh attendance is unimportant. and i suck at english and got a B. The journal sucked though!

What an amazing teacher, on so many levels! I wish every class was structured like Ms. Hunter's English class. I would recommend her to everyone and say to put the time and effort into your work and you will be fine!

She is a wonderful person and a great teacher. She is very accomodating and helpful. I highly recommend this class if you are interested in fine tuning your writing.

Amazingly insightful, intelligent, and experienced. She has a very natural, simple aura about her, but is still up to date with all the modern technologies/pop culture/social behavior. There's alot to be learned from sandra. Never bored in her class, and found some amusement in the fact that she looks like Storm from Xmen (except older)

Very interested in all her students. Very approachable. Explains what is expected clearly, willing to re-explain if you just didn't get it. Made the class fun and interesting.

Sandra made returning to school after many, many years extremely enjoyable. She is kind and interesting, a real treat to learn from.

I wish there were more people in the world like Sandra. I've never had such a nice teacher. Her class is fairly easy, although you do have to work for a good grade. Attendance is mandatory, but if she sees that you're doing well she doesn't mind too much if you don't come. Honestly, she felt more like a friend to me than a teacher.

The class was alot of busy work (journals) but the essays improved my writing and structure. Sandra is real hands on professor, really approachable and likes to get to know her students.

she's an alright teacher, although many of the assignments are too specific and limiting, especially if you enjoy creative writing. she is pretty easy to talk to and contact but can be kind of a wack MC at times.

I have taken sandra for every english class i have taken. she is honestly the best teacher i have ever had. I love english, so if you take her class prepare to write a lot and become a MUCH better writer. she is so nice and funny she always pushes you to be a better writer by using positive reinforcment i love her so much!

Can be a hard grader but offers a chance to rewrite if you do really bad. She is a very helpful teacher I learned a lot in her class and improved my writing skills greatly. She is also very easy to get in contact with if you need help she checks her email all the time. If you actually want to learn something and have a good time take this class!

She is a very good teacher if you are willing to do the work. If you miss an assignment you will fail the class. She is reasonable while grading essays as long as you read her comments from the last essay and improve. Very interesting class discussions. And a great textbook.

Sweet, sweet lady. Cares a lot about her students. Assigns some silly group projects, but easy class to pass. And she does her best to make it entertaining. Would take another class with her any day!

Had Sandra for critical thinking/composition in the Spring. Entered the class absolutely hating everything to do with reading and writing. While I still don't care for essays, Sandra inspired me to read my first book cover to cover since middle school! Overall: Show up on time, do the assignments on time, and you'll be in for a great class!

Although she may be a hard grader, she does have your best interest at heart. She will help you out if you ask and is willing to speak to you if you have questions on her feedback. Ultimately she was extremely helpful but definitely not an easy A.

She makes you work for your grades which is good unless you want to learn nothing. She gives a better understanding to what is required when writing a essay or any form of paper. I loved her class and learned a lot. This class is good preparation for any classes that require you to write research or essay's.

She explains everything thoroughly and wants everyone to do well. She's tough but tries to help & answers e-mails pretty quick. If you get lazy, you're screwed. A handful of essays & a research paper but she allows you to rewrite which is helpful if you're not the best writer.Prof. Hunter really is a cute,tough,caring little lady!

I don't mean to be cocky, but her class is agonizingly easy if you're strong in english. If it wasn't for the fact that attendance is calculated into your grade I NEVER would have gone to class. Just don't get lazy and do the work and its smooth sailing.

Ms. Hunter had to be the most caring english teacher I ever had. She taught me how to believe in myself. She mos. def. makes you work for your grade but it is worth it. She doesn't criticize; she gives honest opinions

One of the best english teachers I ever had. We do a ton of group work and in class debates which are a ton of fun and not taken to seriously. She is also very caring and understanding if you have a problem. Not an east essay grader though

Awesome teacher if you really want to learn something. Not particularly easy, but if you work with her she gives you options to make it work. Had no trouble getting an A, just have to pay attention and attend class. A few essays, one big one. Lots of in class discussions, and presentations (small). She just wants your input most of the time.

Great teacher. Not the easiest if yoou dont want to do anything. Only a couple essays but nothing rediculious if you listen and dont procrastinate. I learned alotand she really cares. I would recomend her. Just participate and try. I will be taking her for 1b

Don't take if you want an easy A. She is one tough teacher...however, she's EXTREMELY helpful and nice so if you really want/need help she will help you. She's very tough on punctuality, absences and late assignments but if you really put a lot of effort into her class you will do great. One of the best English teachers I've had so far!

She was honestly one of my favorite professors ever!! She really cares about your progress in class and wants you to do well. You have to pay attention and contribute to class discussions, a few essays (which she helped IMMENSELY with) and many debates. I hated writing before this class. She is a sweetheart, wish I could take her class again.

Very sweet woman. She is very tiny, Hindu with and British accent and long gray hair. Overall the class is VERY easy. Towards the end of the semester, you have a giant 7-10pg research paper and the requirements are tough. So in essays, shes a tough one. But overall personality and character, she is one sweetheart. Take Hunter!

Fabulous Professor. I learned so much from her and she made being there very enjoyable. We had discussions and a lot of camaraderie which really helped with learning concepts in writing and made the 2+ hours fly by. Very approachable. I am much more of a science oriented student and this is one of the best classes I've ever taken. Highly recommend!

I LOVED her class! The class was very discussion based and group-oriented. She was very helpful if you went to her with questions for essays. There is a lot of work at times but most of it is group work and you WILL make friends in this class. This was the only class that I was sad when it was over.

Amazing professor! Really cares about her students! I slacked off and got a B, I can only imagine the grade I could have received if I had shown some more effort!

Prof Hunter is a wonderful, fun, unique teacher. She is VERY helpful at all times if you approach her with questions via email or in person. She puts you in groups to help with the writing and book assignments. She is very strict about punctuality and attendance but very understanding if you are unable to attend. I loved this class!

Professor Hunter is one of the only English teachers that I have had that has gotten me to write at my highest level. The class is awesome and thought provoking. I still talk to the people in my group. I loved having the openness in class to be able to share opinions and hear what everyone had to say. I learned sooo much. TAKE THIS CLASS

Professor Hunter will help you become a better writer. She's candid. She engages students in a variety of ways. The time flies by. She is liberal and seems to resent the US. Hunter is a gifted teacher.

Sandra is one of the best professors that I've ever had. She truly cares about her students and does her best to help them succeed. Not an easy a, but definitely teaches how to write a good paper. She gives about four essays and if they aren't done well enough, offers a rewrite after a visit the writing center. She's awesome! Totally recommend her!

I LOVE SANDRA! she really helped me grow as a writer and i really enjoyed showing up to class! FOUR papers (standard at moorpark) and a journal that you write in class. Im not gonna say it was an easy A but for an english class i think it was (but you actually LEARN)! SUPER amazing person and professor!

I would recommend Professor Hunter to anyone thinking of taking her class. I hate school and hadn't gone back for a whole year, but Professor Hunter made going to class easy. The essays were rather easy. She makes sure you know about the resources available at your school and she cares. Best college professor i've ever had.

Professor Hunter is a great English professor. The essays were not that difficult and she gave us good feedback. Tests are super easy: they are thesis statements and paragraph development. I loved the "salad" groups and hope to talk to these people later. She has a absent and tardy policy, so attend class. Definitely taking her class for 1B!

Sandra is an amazing professor with students that LOVE her. She definitely will give you essays, but she works on them a lot with the whole class and encourages group work, so it becomes really easy to get a good grade. Prof. Hunter loves what she does and it shows! She's patient and understanding as long as she sees that you work hard.

Professor Hunter was easily my favorite professor. She is very very kind and cares a lot about each student. Her classes were always entertaining and very helpful towards what we were focusing on. If I could take her again I definitely would!!

Hunter is a great English teacher, she conducts great class discussions and the book we read was a pretty big focus. She does vocab exercises and there's a few papers she had us peer review and she grades tough but you will be a better writer for it. Overall, class was engaging and fun and I learned writing techniques I still use.

Professor Hunter is a very cool, amazing person. She can be eccentric, and she sometimes mixes up or changes her schedule, but never makes anything due earlier, and she always updates her site to her changes. We were put into groups, and it ended up being really relaxing. Did not follow the book at all, haha.

Professor Hunter is one of the best English teachers I have ever had. She cares about her students and is very receptive and easy to talk to. There are only 6 essays the whole class and no tests. She puts students into different groups during the semester which is really helpful because you basically get to know the whole class. Highly recommend!!!
