Well, she reminds of a kindergarden teacher. She has that type of personality. She gives several quizzes and a chance on tests. Shouldn't be too hard, but if you zone out like me, expect to fail.
She is the best math teacher I have ever had. She makes sure that everyone understands each concept before moving on, and is always willing to review material.
Sandy is a very good teacher. She is clear and patient. She gives everyone a chance and goes at a pace everyone can follow. Very good teacher.
She really nice and she does speak to you like ur in kindergarten. Sandy is also helpful, if u going to take 147. Take heR!!!! 100% BETTER THAN EGGLOFF
Awesome and ver sweet. Go to office hours
ill teacher yo
LOL, like others have said, she's more fit to be a grade school teacher than a professor. But, she's VERY nice and helpful. ALL you do in her class is TAKE NOTES. Notes, notes, and more notes. Quizes happen often but aren't too bad. Exams are long and painful. You'll learn a lot if you attend all of her lectures and do the work. Highly recommended.
she is a great teacher. If you go to office hours than you will understand the material. Although she cares a lot for her students she wont bend the rules to help you out that much...maybe a few point her or there. She is willing to help and i Recommend her. Although some people still struggle in her class
Sandy is a very nice woman, she really cares for her students alot, and does anything she can to help you succeed. She is very easy to talk to anything, not just her course. I am taking her ULC 148 class next semester because she is just that good. Great teacher, get her if you can!!!!!!!
kisker is sweet as pie... and very helpful
Sandy is a little rough around the edges at first, but she is a really good teacher. This course moves along pretty quickly, so make sure you go to office hours and don't let yourself get behind. Do your homework (even if she doesn't collect it) and you will get a good grade in this class!
I've never been good at math but Kisker's amazing! Go to class, do the homework, and go to office hours before tests and quizzes and you're good to go. She's definitely the best. Doesn't even feel like college with her!
She talks to her students like they are mentally handicap. It's quite annoying. But her class is very easy.

i love her! she is SO EASY and if your having a difficult time, she is always ready to help!!! if she collects too much homework or assigns too much homework, or has long notes, you can tell its because she REALLy wants her students to do well... she treats her students like kindergartners which is pretty good compared to **** teachers out there
kisker is a great teacher she teaches like your in the first grade while still moving at a college level but she is good at what she does.
Overall it is an easy class, but at times goes a little to fast. but u will definitely pass her class with a B- at least. And trust me the other rates are not lying about her teaching u like ur in the first grade. She's great!!
such a good professor. makes herself available all the time. She really wants you to pass and to do really well. you will not find another professor who cares so much about her students. she sounds like shes talking to 1st graders because she is trying to making complicated math as easy as possile for everyone.
Great teacher she gives lot of notes and homework every night but she mean well and it helps out in the end. she very helpful but she is very technical with grades and you get what you deserve. she teaches you like your a baby and teaches fast at time but overall good teacher. not an easy A have to put in the effort also go to office hrs!!
She is the sweetest and most caring professor I've ever had. The class was an easy A, and she dropped your 2 lowest quiz grades and 1 of your lowest exam grades. It was a breeze.
Really hard to comprehend. She goes too fast during class, extremely strict on attendance. If you are absent from class even due to sickness and you miss a test she does not make any exceptions. She knows her class is tough, but has an I don't care attitude when you're struggling. DON'T take her!
Very nice, strict on attendance and notes are pretty straight forward. Do all your homework and you'll get an A.
Professor Kisker is super friendly, but she is very strict about class. You can definitely pass this class if you attend regularly and do all the homework. HW is mandatory and is check unexpectedly, so you should always do your HW. I struggled at first, but she was so helpful and I managed to passed! Definitely take advantage of her office hours!
she rocks easy to pass just do work
She's jolly and nice which makes the class easier to pay attention. Homework isn't checked for right answer so just do your homework and you pass! Quizzes really help you out for the tests...I recommend her!
She is good at what she does when it comes to teaching, and the work is really easy so it's not hard to pass the class. But I did not like her attitude in the least bit, and I had a hard time enjoying the class because she would make unneeded smart remarks. But if you don't really care about student-teacher relations then this class if the best.
She is a good teacher. The tests and exams are easy. You do have to do some studying in order to get an A though. She does take off points for little mistakes on the quizzes and exams. Book is mandatory. There is a lot of homework and she decides when she wants to check it. I recommend you do all the home work. She cares for her students.
She is a good teacher. The tests and exams are weekly and require understanding. She does take off points for little mistakes on the quizzes and exams. Book is mandatory. There is a lot of homework and she decides when to check it. I recommend you do all the home work. She cares for her students.
Has a very bad attitude and makes smart remarks all the time. Not the best professor, does not care about her students.
She is always willing to help and is really nice. If you study her notes, you will do good on the tests and quizzes. She checks homework which is nice if you do it!
She is a great teacher, but if you're not good at math, be prepared to work. Do the homework (it will help your grade)and go to office hours. Show that your interested, and care and she will help you get through this course. Slack off and not care, she will watch you burn. But really, my math has gotten so much better because of her.
I did not like her because she was kind of Wishy washy to me. she would teach one thing and then in the middle of that say " i don't like that way so this is how it is on the test" She grades terrible. She has these specific standards on what she wants but doesn't mention them until after the test.
Amazing teacher, wish I could take her with me to higher math courses, expect to put the work in, theres no curve but the grade you get is an exact reflection of what you put in so very fair and rewarding as long as you come to class everyday and try your best. Love her!!!
Really good teacher. Simply, going to class and paying attention with minimal studying and you should be able to do well. Class is really easy as long as you are on top of everything. Makes funny remarks in class which is very entertaining. Don't hate on her if you are doing bad in the class because its probably your fault.
Great professor. Class is easy to follow and notes are thorough. Would take again. Be prepared for homework after every class. Makes funny remarks on the kids not paying attention.
Mrs. Kisker is a really caring person, she makes funny remarks to the kids who don't pay attention or are disrespectful. She is a great teacher and explains things fully. Make sure you do MyMathLab, if you can do good there, you are set for the quizzes. She gives good feedback, cares, and is easy to understand.
She is a great teacher. Her lessons are clear and she speaks very well. If you don't already have a strong foundation in algebra, precalculus, and trig the class will be a lot of work. There is homework given each class and it's very relevant to the quizzes and tests. Lots of quizzes and tests too. The course is content heavy but she teaches well.
Professor Kisker is a great professor. If you go to class, pay attention and do the homework you will do fine. She really cares how well you do in the class and will help in any way she can.
By far my favorite teacher spring semester. i struggle with math but her notes and lectures are really well done, as long as you pay attention and copy down on the notes you'll be able to do well on the quizzes and tests because they mirror the notes. Also a super funny teacher and easy going. gives extra credit at the end of year based on attendce
I enjoy her class, although she does have a bit of an attitude but if you're willing to learn you definitely can here. She is thorough with her teaching.
Amazing professor for ULC 148, spells almost everything out for you. Class is 70% based on exams so beware, but it's an easy class. You will be doing not too much homework and not too much studying if you have a decent background in trig, calc and algebra.
Kisker is an amazing professor especially for this pre-calc. It is a course that you can easily pass with an A if you go to every lecture and do ALL the homework. The material is not difficult, you just have to put in the work. Quizzes at the end of every week but the hws and lectures help to prepare for them especially the exams.
She really cares for her students. Go to office hours and do your homework there. She will always answer any questions you have. Do the homework, it may seem like a lot, but it will be on all of the exams and quizzes. Final is optional and Cumm.. If you take the final, it still counts for your grade. Take at own risk. Drops the lowest quiz grade.
Best math professor. If you need help go to her office hours.
I had a 29 in precalc in highschool, but 96 in her class. She makes things very easy to understand. Drops the 2 lowest quiz grades, even if it was a quiz you missed. Also she claims to be strict but she's actually very lenient. Her online homework is helpful too, and you get a LOT of free attempts.
Her favorite phrase You shouldve learned this before you came to me. Shes ok, and does her job, but goes really fast to the point its hard to understand what shes teaching sometimes. Her homeworks are unnecessarily long, and annoying. The homework helps but we dont need that many to have a clear understanding of the concept.
One of the worst math professors ive ever had. She doesnt know how the teach the material at a decent pace where the class can understand and expects you to already know the material and teach it to yourself. taught us the hardest part of the midterm 2 days before the test. terrible
She's the best math teacher I've ever had. I've always been terrible at math but I understand everything she teaches me. She makes the notes with you and their extremely helpful. She drops the lowest 2 quiz grades. Her online homework is really helpful too and you get many attempts too get the right answer. Words can not describe how pleased I am.
This professor was SO kind, caring and really wants you to do well! I am NOT a math person, but P. Kisker helped me understand precalc so well. The way she teaches is perfect if you have difficulty in class, and I would take her again and again if I could. She is amazing!!!!
Don't take Precalc with Kisker. She is a horrible professor.
Avoid her class like plague. Kisker is arrogant and rude professor. She shows condescending temper tantrum whenever students dont understand her lecture. Avoid!!!!
Stay away from Kisker's precalc class if you value your GPA. If you desperately need an easy class take Precalc with different professors.
Don't take her class if you care about your money and GPA. She does not teach anything that we need to know for exams. She is also unapproachable when you ask for help or review for exam. Avoid her class at any expense.
Do not take class with Sandra if you are students that particularly struggled with math in high school. She does make Precalc harder than what it needs to be. She is big on written homework, and does not allow formula sheets or notecard for the exam. If you are not going to Stem field, take this course with other professors.
She teaches a little fast but since it was online, youre able to pause and go back. She gives a ton of examples which are most likely all on the homework. Lots of long lectures and long homeworks. if you pay attention and do your homework youll do fine.
she gives a lot of homework, but she is a very nice lady and she makes everything easier than it is.
Her lectures match the homework exactly and her tests are exactly like the quizzes. She doesn't try to trick you with any questions and everything is perfectly explained. I would definitely take her again, a super easy class.
Sandra is great (yes she lets us call her by her first name) the classroom was flipped classroom and you must still work hard for it. Go to Math place if you struggle, ask questions, she is the easiest math teacher I have ever had.
SHE IS AWESOME!!! The best pre-calc teacher ever. She is really good at what she does and she is also very caring. Relaxed and approachable. I wouldn't say this class is that hard. If you put in the work, you'll surely do very well.
She makes things simple, all her lectures and homeworks are straight forward as long as you pay attention. Additionally the test review she gives are insanely helpful, do the test review twice and youre guaranteed an 85 or higher. shes also very understanding, she let me miss class when I had a chem 101 test on the same day to study.
Kisker is an ok professor. This class is almost 100% remote besides coming for attendance. She almost never taught anything in person: online lectures, online homework, online tests. Attendance should NOT be mandatory for this!
Easily the worst math class I've ever taken, her lectures are an hour each and the homework that goes with them is due the same day she assigns them, I was very sick and had to go to my hometown to recover and she refused to let me turn things in late, I missed a quiz and two homeworks. Please avoid this professor whatever you do.
Flipped classroom, watch lectures before class, do homework in class. Being in class isn't needed, but does take off attendance points. Lectures are easy to understand, take notes/write them down. A quiz every week and 3 exams, and one final but remote. Everything you do is online, need to be in person for quizzes and exams. Will help if you ask.
Super nice. If you go to class and watch the lectures you will do fine. She is there for you when you need help.
The flipped classroom system is awesome, you will have a lot of time to work on your homeworks and the way she explains the work is actually quite easy. She will make sure you know what you are doing and will help you a lot!!
Professor Kisker is a very kind professor. I love the flipped classroom. Im not very good at math but this year I had amazing grades thanks to her lectures that I could watch at my own time. We do the homework in class and if you have questions you can ask her. I had no homework outside of this class. I highly recommend you take this class
Professor Kisker is an extremely kind and caring woman. The flipped classroom is great since you can ask her questions in class if you get stuck on the homework. If you go to office hours she does a really good job explaining what you did wrong to help you understand. Her quizzes and exams are taken right from the homework and review.
This professor was great, I liked the whole flipped classroom thing, when I do the HW in class my questions are all answered with the teacher there to help immediately. She will ALWAYS get back to you by email with questions. The homework's are the same questions on the quizzes so if you just review the HW again you will be set.
If you put in a decent amount of effort you'll do well. The lectures explain the material well and the quizzes and exams are based exactly on the HW, which is done with an online textbook. Two lowest HW and quiz grades are dropped. Attendance technically mandatory but if you miss a few classes you'll be fine. Friendly professor.
would not take again ... this course is hard , heavy lecture notes, barely any feedback, basically self-taught,quizzes and exams every other week
Overall the professor is great. She's extremely nice and is willing to help during class time. She did have a flip classroom system in which I didn't like at first, but then I grew to actually love it. She gives the opportunity to ask questions in the classroom. I will admit her homework can be a little heavy, but I promise you it's all worth it.
This class is hit or miss for a lot of people. She uses a flipped classroom where you watch lectures outside and do homework in class, which I found helpful because it allowed a time slot to get homework done. Texts and quizzes are exactly like homeworks. If you really pay attention to the lectures and try on the homeworks you will do fine
Professor Kisker is a little distant when she addresses her classes as a whole but if you speak to her she is incredibly nice and reasonable. Tests and Quizzes are the exact same as homework, although do not expect a lecture as the homework is ALSO the class work that she bases off recorded videos. Overall nice woman, class was ok.
Great professor. Would easily take her again. It is a flipped classroom setting and she is incredibly encouraging and willing to help during class time. If you finish your work early, or if you just want to go she will let you leave early, but you must stay until attendance is taken (which is usually late so you can come late too)
her flipped classroom was a game changer for me. i have a lot of trouble paying attention in class, so watching the lectures on my own time made it extremely easier to actually learn. kind professor, quick responder to emails. her class requires you to put effort in if you want to do well.
She's an overall good professor, but in my opinion if we are learning the material outside of class and only come in to do homework attendance shouldn't be mandatory. I got a 2/5 in attendance because she also doesn't take attendance until the end of class so if you finish your homework early you're expected to sit and wait.
Prof Kisker was really great as someone who has struggled in math my whole life her flipped classroom helped me a ton, she posts the lectures online and then you do homework in class so you can ask questions then. She is also very good as responding to emails although the class is very test and quiz heavy however thats the math departments fault
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Whatever these ratings are saying.. they are lying. If you care about your mental health, money, GPA do not take this professor. If you struggle in math STAY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!! if you could drop it before the deadline DO IT . PLS listen to me on God .
I am bad at math and prof. Kisker made this class more than bearable for me. Even though the lectures are online if you have any questions she is more than happy to help. She will constantly walk around the class asking if anyone has questions. If you find yourself struggling, her office hours are very helpful. Overall a great professor.
She does a flipped classroom style of teaching where you watch the pre-recorded lecture online before class and then do the assigned homework. The homework is never super long; if one is, she will let you know. She is very friendly and approachable. It's obvious anyone who negatively rated her, got one bad grade is spiteful. Keep up with your work!
As long as you watched the lectures, the homework's were very easy and could be completed quickly. A nice lady to get your pre-rec's with.
3 attempts for each question homework quest. practice exams and quizzes, which were great for preparation. We had 3 exams in total, and if we missed no more than three classes, we could skip the final exam. can go to her office hours really helpful. study study from the beginning it will be easy those quiz are big deals too
such a sweet lady. her class is very easy if you just do what youre supposed to. its clear the bad reviews were just students who didnt try. she has a flipped lecture system so durring class u just do ur hw with her its nice. also has a nice rule where if you miss no more than 3 classes u dont have to take the final, so GO TO CLASS!!!!!!!!!!
great course
gave sooooooo much homework and never taught lecture thoroughly
Attend class so you don't have to take the final exam
Sandra is a very nice lady. This class is a breeze as long as you watch the video lectures and keep up with the homework. Some of the test review took a long time but its good practice and very helpful with getting good grades on the tests. Everything is online, and its a flipped classroom so you do homework during class and learn outside of class
