Dr. Lampo is seriously the best professor I've had at A&M. She is SO helpful and understanding and you can tell she has such a passion for teaching marketing. I absolutely adored this class (maybe because I also love marketing) but even if you aren't a marketing major it's an easy class to enjoy. I always look forward to it. Thanks Dr. Lampo!!!

There were 3 tests in this class, and they were all online. There's a mandatory group project that takes up a lot of your time, weekly quizzes, and research credits. It's a very time intensive class, but if you do the work it's not hard to get an A. She cares a lot about marketing, it's annoying when she hyper-focuses on a certain thing.

I needed 10 more points for an A. Her exams were awful. She now has quizzes for Fall 2022 but don't expect them to be easy. If anything they're just smaller versions of her exams. They are so exact and picky I don't know how people got an A in this class because of how much the exams are weighted. Read the book and start taking notes early.

Prof. Lampo lecture-wise is okay. The quizzes are not bad if you read and take notes. However, a large portion of the grade comes from group assignments. I felt like I was fighting an uphill battle the entire semester. Her expectations are way too high and almost unattainable. The course is structured in a way that makes you want to cry or give up completely. I wanted to like her because she seem like a nice person, but the course is extremely difficult for no reason and caused a lot of stress.

So much busy work, and it's all graded by AI. Your quiz grades reflect your ability to remember the color of a guest's shoes when they were 6 instead of marketing concepts. This course is so overdesigned and complex. Dr. Lampo is the worst prof I've ever had. She is more willing to give you random 0's for misnaming an essay than to actually teach.

She couldnt care less about her students and the work that you put in does not translate to a good grade The fact this class still exists and she has a job is baffling

This professor may seem really bad but this class is not bad at all. There are weekly quizzes that are straight from lectures so you have to go to class. Her instructions are pretty clear and she is a very nice person. Take this class and get it over with, it wasn't the worst class I've taken.

This professor wasn't the worst. She gives weekly quizzes that are straight from lectures, you have to meet with your group once a week, and there are a couple of opportunities for extra credit but it is not much. This is class is mostly quiz heavy/no tests. Take this class and get it out of the way, it's really not a bad class.

She is extremely picky, and barely teaches anything. Everything has to be in her format and she barely gives partial credit, and she cares more about things like formatting than you actually learning marketing. Being an intro to marketing class, this is the worst because you don't actually learn anything on the subject.

Her grading is absurdly harsh. Even the smallest mistake results in a zero, regardless of the rest of the work. There's no room for partial credit or learning from errors. It feels more like a punishment than a learning experience. She also makes the TAs literally GUARD the doors during attendance which is laughable. If you can't avoid, be prepared

Lampo wasn't that bad. Readings and homework every week. Weekly proctored quizzes. The first half is a group simulation (easy), and the second half is a business report and presentation based on a case study. No final. She is stubborn but knowledgeable and helpful most of the time. Easy to access outside of class.

I got an A and it's really not that hard. She is very particular and grades accordingly, which can be a bit tough. However, if you meet her expectations, you will do well. Pay attention to the little details and instructions of assignments, actually go to class, pay attention and take notes, and you will be fine. Do every requirement she asks for.

I'm suprised that people struggled in this class, Lampo was a sweet lady and a passionate professor. However, make sure to double and triple read requirements of things she assigns, as small mistakes could lead to deductions. Like everybody else has said, Lampo is a terrible professor. The smallest mistake results in a zero which can bring your final grade down several points. No room for negotiations either, that mistake will always be your fault and she lacks the empathy to help you. "She's preparing us for the real world", except in the real-world people help you.

I don't know why these ratings are so low. Lampo is the sweetest and caring professor. She will ALWAYS help you if you ask. She's really nice, and passionate about what she teaches. But the quizzes make up so much of the grades. You need to take really good and detailed notes about EVERYTHING, a transcript basically. You also need to keep up with the readings. That's the only way to pass the quizzes. Not much extra credit, and pay close attention to instructions.
