Best math teacher at this school. I actually learned out of this class.
very good teacher! very clear about how to do things. willingly to help!! highly recommended
she actually cares about her students doing well. she tries to help in any way she can, encourages us to visit her office if we need extra help, and even held an optional review session for our midterm. very helpful, very nice, very good overall!
Very helpful, i understand her teaching more than lecutre. She clarifies the material and is very sweet
She's a great teacher; you can tell she really enjoys math and is passionate about it. She's always willing to help and has midterm and final review sessions. For College Algebra she takes attendance but it doesn't directly affect your grade; if you're borderline on a grade she can see how consistent you were with attendance. Great teacher overall!
Very nice teacher...helps alot.....better to unersatnd then lecture....very shy, and at times way too nice to undeserving and rude students.
Altough she is a good teacher and explanes the matierial well, I feel like i'm in middle school/high school. In my pre-calc class she would give the students ungraded busy work to fill the usual 30 mins, that if you don't stay for, it will hurt your grade. If you're an indepent learner that dosn't need to be baby-sit I would not take this class.
Great teacher! I don't know how she is when she teaches lecture, but in lab she is very helpful and easy-going. if you look over your notes before taking the weekly quizes, you'll do fine. When it comes to the quizes, you'll have an 8 question quiz every week, but she does a review session before the quiz for those who have questions!!
Im very bad at math, but this class was not so hard. Its boring but when is math not? She is always available to help students. Quizes are easy if you pay attention and DO THE REVIEW WORKSHEETS! They are almost exactly like the quiz.
College Algebra. She is useless, her class consists of her writing stuff on an overhead and asking if anyone has any questions, there is no teaching involved whatsoever!!! Taked att. at beginning and end of class, basically, AVOID at all costs, take John Drone.
take her i got 100 on the midterm. do i need to say more.
She may seem tough, but if you just pay attention, ask questions and show interest in the class she can be very helpful.
She is a great professor that practically begs students to go to her office. As along as you show an interst in the course, do your hw, and do the online quizzes; you'll get an easy A. I study for 3 days in a span of 10 weeks and I got an A.
Professor Maldonado is an absolute dream to have as a teacher. She regularly encourages students to come to her study groups and office hours and will try to be available whenver you need her. I am not good in math and I still got an A in this class with her help. Definitely take Maldonado!
She is nice if u kiss her ass, if you point out how she has no original examples and copies her lectures word for word from the text then your screwed. She has no originality and is the most monotone women i have ever met. If you dont like math then take someone else because she will put you to sleep. I felt like I was back in highschool.
If math is your calling in life, we allready know that you are freakishly good at it. Thanks, Ms. Maldonado... The point of teaching is to relay information to the students so they can understand it, not spit out a a slew of letters and numbers as fast as you can, because we NEED to be reasured that YOU know the material. This professor was te
Shes awesome. its precalc so not the easiest class in the world, but she makes it manageable. NO book thanks to course compass. shes ALWAYS available during office hours and notes are pretty good as well. ATTEND class for any hope of getting a lil bit of grace on final grade. and lastly she gives review packets JUST LIKE THE ACTUAL TESTS (ONLY 2) G
Attendance is definitly required. She uses my math lab so that makes life so much better. Make sure you do the homework and quizzes .. homeworks are easy As and so are the quizes because she gives out groupwork worksheets and thats what the quizzes are on. 2 test midterm and final(do the study guides) cmon how easier can this be
Boring teacher. Uses course compass so that all homework and quizzes are online but ALSO makes attendance mandatory via in class quizzes. I failed the class because I did not go. It is not hard but you can't get a 0 for your inclass quiz grade, apparently. Get 100% on homeworks and the reviews she gives for the midterm/final are just like the revie
I give her credit because she had to take over my math class with another professor, which couldn't have been an easy thing to do. The only thing is that I'm not sure if she was the most confident professor. She would explain things, over and over as if she was afraid we wouldn't understand her. Felt more like a high school class at that point.
She's like a middle school teacher. She puts you in groups and assigns group work on things she may have shown one example of. She'll deduct points for the slightest thing which is awful. Definitely chooses favorites and she walks around the room to make sure you are doing your work. Only good thing is she gives reviews that reflect the exams.
Pr. Maldonado is great, very organized, clear and fair. She knows her subject very well unlike some other professors. P.S.: I don't think you can achieve your dreams by cheating and copying someone else's answers!
She is an awesome teacher. Easy as hell and very clear. Lowest exam dropped, lowest 3 HW dropped, lowest 2 quizzes dropped. Take her!
Easy to understand the material in class. Exams were not too hard, and she drops one exam, quiz, and homework assignment! Very nice teacher and would recommend to anyone who needs to take Pre-Calculus.
Pretty easy class, just make sure to do your homework and show up to lectures. She uses an overhead projector and takes time to explain everything, and even color-codes it.
Great teacher! Tests are mostly multiple choice and exactly like the reviews and quizzes are exactly like the group work.
This professor lets her student assistants do the teaching who aren't always teh best at explaining. The class is virtual this semester so the only thing to attend is the lab. There are too many people that need help so its impossible to get any help. Penalizes you if you dont finish labs in class and try to go to open lab. Puts you on a lock list.
This teacher is the best!! She has easy notes that you print and take to class. Uses coursecompass so the homework is an easy A. Her test review are the test with different numbers. Ive only missed one question on every test! Best teacher, take her!
Excellent professor, the best I had this semester. Was able to answer any question asked in class, made arrangements for students several times to take quizzes or exams outside of the class, and always knew what she was talking about. I will, and already have, recommend her to everyone.
All her exams were multiple choice she would even have extra credit on some of them. Most of the exams has 25 multiple choice questions. The final had 45 multiple choice questions. I would highly recommend on doing the review its posted on course compass, since it looks similar to the exams
very helpful
This class is absurd. She lets her TA's do the teaching (people who often cannot teach). I would not recommend this professor to ANYONE.
Excellent instructor. Very organized. Very interested in student success. Makes learning goals for the course very clear. Very good at explaining difficult math concepts. Held optional review sessions for exams and does not surprise with unexpected kinds of problems. Very nice and very fair but do not expect to pass without learning the material.
Made precal extremely easy!! puts notes up online which are extremely helpful (never used the book). Gives a study guide before every exam which is EXACTLY like the exam, the only difference is the numbers used in the problems. Drops lowest test and two lowest quizzes. Ended with an A+.
Horrible professor for MAT 1033. At lecture she speaks as if she hates her job/doesnt want to be there. She seriously has no personality. The TAs run lab. Im currently in the process of getting her overruled hopefully by the dean on a few missed assignments. I love my other professors and classes but dread going to this one.
Horrible instructor. Very monotone, doesn't actually teach so much as read, and lets her Lab Instructors teach the class. I didn't even go to lecture eventually because it was a waste of time.
This teacher was very good. She was always interested in if the class understood the topic at hand.
I had her for intermediate algebra. She was not very interesting but she was a good teacher who clarified everything. She was very willing to help students who did not understand the material. For an easy A, I reccommend taking her. Also, the study guides are very similar to the actual exams.
Professor Maldonado is great. Her notes and study guides are extremely helpful. I definitely recommend her for Precalc!!!
She is a very good teacher. Precalc is extremely boring so don't expect class to be fun, but I don't think I've ever had a math teacher who could present concepts as clearly as she does.
Seemed like a very engaged teacher on the first day of class until she kept leaving the room. Class is EXTREMELY too large (65 students approx.) Ended up withdrawing from the course, as I'd rather take it in fall when the classes are 1/2 the size.
Professor Maldonado was fantastic! She was very clear, explained concepts extremely well. I highly recommend her as a professor.
Her notes and study guides are helpful. Overall good teacher. The only problem I had was that the final was 30% of your grade and cumulative. Very harsh.
Too bad attendance isn't worth more of your grade. Class drags on forever. Her voice is incredibly boring you have to focus just to stay awake. When you ask a question she says to come to office hours. She dosen't seem interested in her students or even the subject.
As long as you do/understand the questions on the Chapter Reviews she gives before each test then you'll get an A. The reviews are exactly like the test, just with different numbers. I got 105% on every single test and a 97% on the Final...and I hate math. So if you want an easy A in Precalc, I suggest taking her.
THIS PROFESSOR THE FIRST DAY SEEMED A LITTLE HARSH BUT AFTER THE FIRST WEEK SHE STARTED ACTUALLY TEACHING. SHE DOES A DECENT JOB AND WORKS ALL THE PROBLEMS OUT ON THE OVERHEAD PROJECTION.AS EVERYONE HAS MENTIONED IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE CLASS YOU MUST DO THE REVIEWS!SHE EVEN WILL HAVE A DAY OF STUDY TIME ON THE WEEKEND-VERY HELPFUL.CANT GO WRONG.
great teacher
Awesome professor. Clear as can be and is super helpful and nice. Do the reviews before the exams and that's half the exam. She's excellent at explaining the subject.
She's a good teacher but in a large room it might be a bit hard to hear her as her voice doesn't carry. She does explain the problems well and will happily go over things more than once or answer questions. Use her office hours if you need them as it might be better to have one-on-one explanations for confusing topics.
There's no doubt that Precalculus is a time-consuming, difficult class. Mrs. Maldonado made Precalculus simple and easy. As long as you attend every class, do the homework, & complete the reviews, you'll be good to go. I passed the class with a 100.2%. It's doable. She's available at all times, but you must be willing to put in the effort yourself.
Extremely helpful, easy to understand, tests aren't bad at all. wants everyone to pass
One of the best math teachers I've ever had in my life. Her tests are exactly like the class work and each chapter she has reviews online that she takes basically off there but with different numbers. She cares about you passing so show up, do the homework and this class is an easy A.
Most of the time she doesn't understand students' questions. A test after every chapter (so every other week). Don't come in late she gets flustered. She records her lectures, but sometimes they do not have sound. She has every review up for each exam and final! make sure you study those because the exam will look identical!
Take her! 1 CH per exam, but she provides study guides that are identical to the real one (different numbers). Completing her study guides and attending review sessions is the key to passing. Replaces your lowest exam with your final exam grade. Make sure you have a printer handy because notes are LENGTHY. Other than that, I recommend!
I'm a straight A student and I found this class to be very difficult. She lacks clarity and rushes her lectures . The HW took 10+hrwk, should be 1-2hrs. Went to office hours, she still couldn't explain the concepts to me. finally dropped the class. Now taking Neubek, He is great, I understand everything the first time its explained!
She is a great professor. You really have to work hard, but her reviews are exactly the same as the test with just different numbers. So study the reviews for each test and memorize how to do them in advance as you go and you will receive an A!
Not one of the best math classes I've taken. 3-4 sections of homework a week, most about 12-15 problems (with multiple parts). Lecture notes are all online. Attendance is not mandatory but she randomly does group assignments in class. She drops the lowest exam. I found her lectures hard to follow and drawn out. Be prepared to put in a lot of time!
Professor Sandra is a horrible professor. She is not help full at all during her office hours Not good at explaining a problem if you don't understand. She posts practice test before each exam and they are completely different than the actual exam. Her actual exam only have 5 to 7 questions u cannot miss more than 2 problems on her exams .
horrible professor I only took her cuz she had good reviews but she does not seem interested in her students and the coarse rushes her lectures most of the time only explains easy problems from the hmwk in the class does not explains hard and long problems well. if the problem is really long she puts students in groups and tell them to figure out
Took this professor because of 4.0 rating but she's far from it. I am struggling so much and she is no help whatsoever. Lectures online, quiz immediately after just learning material online, and then group work after just "learning" the material.
Lectures are online (flipped classroom) and unclear sometimes. Homework is pointless and time consuming since we don't practice anything that was previously learned. Exams are similar to the review but she includes a few problems that are worth like 20% and we never went over those problems. My advice: DO NOT TAKE HER!
Worst professor I've ever had. I've never written a review for any prof, but I NEED to warn people about this one. I have always been good at math, however, I did not get an A on any of her exams (and I studied for hours for them beforehand). She does not teach at all and expects us to be able to teach it to ourselves. I highly do NOT recommend.
Don't take her!!!!! You have to teach yourself and it's mostly flipped classroom. I had such a hard time with her teaching style
Professor Maldonado does online lectures and expects you to have learned everything on your own by next class. Then, she switched for a single chapter to lecture in class and review on your own, which threw us off as we were starting to get the hang of her method. Very unorganized. She's not very sympathetic to religious students.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. She does a flipped classroom that does not work towards her advantage. In class is just group work and tests/ quizzes. Please take my advice it is terrible, truly.
Uses flipped classroom technique and it doesn't help you learn at all. Tests are tough, but her review is very similar.
She uses the flipped classroom, but not very well. Her videos are not very informative and hurt more then help. They end up confusing me to where I need to use Khan Academy and disregard all of her teaching. She expects you to learn it and gives quizzes daily so if you don't understand you are out of luck. Exams are short so just 2 missed is a B.
Worst professor I've had so far at FGCU. No lecture only group work. Lots of work outside of class including teaching yourself. Avoid this women.
If you want to be treated like your in 5th grade, this is the way to go! She goes over how long you take on homework based on your test results and will give you pop quizzes based on chapters you aren't on or stuff you haven't learned. She has no regard for you other classes and answers your questions with more questions rather than explaining it.
Sandra doesn't know teach, she expects you to come into class already knowing everything from the homework. Her notes aren't helpful either. She kicks you out of class if you forget the notes but did the homework.
She has a flipped classroom which works to the advantage of no one. It seems like she doesn't want to tach in class considering when you ask her she won't answer her.
This is truly the worst class I have ever taken. Too much homework, arbitrary group projects, and, to top it all off, online lectures that are ineffective and excessively long. Maldonado seems like a nice person, but her class is awful. I thought the reviews on here were exaggerations of how bad the class is, but they aren't.
Granted, I didn't have this professor for the whole semester, but my professor (Bibiana Lopez), needed a substitute, and Maldonado was the person. Maldonado made me get the worst test grade of the whole semester. I naturally am good at math. TAKE LOPEZ!!!!!!!! Maldonado is confusing with answering a question and treats you like you're 5 years old.
Maldonado is a tough teacher, but she is fair. The flipped classroom really worked for me. The group projects were a little monotonous but that is my only complaint. Lessons are very clear and grading is fair.
Professor Maldonado is a nice Professor but I'm no fond of her online lectures. They aren't completely horrible but can be confusing, since you can't ask her to clarify until you get to class. The online home work problems are really easy, and the reviews are really helpful for the test. If you do all assignments you should be fine.
Has online video lectures which can be confusing at times but she is super helpful in office hours. The review she gives for each test is very accurate to the info u need to study for the exams. Offers decent extra credit and drops several grades at the end of the semester. She's very caring about students succeeding and will always help.
Her class involves filling out the notes at home and then in class we work in groups to complete worksheets. I thought her teaching method was good and I learned the material well. The notes can be time consuming, but her tests are pretty easy and very similar to the online reviews. She drops enough grades at the end to bump you up a TON.
She's the cliche professor that's in it for the money and nothing more. There is no feeling of motivation that she expresses in the classroom. If you are sick WITH official documentation, she will NOT allow you to make up homework, quizzes, tests and or exams. It's in her syllabus. Random pop-quizzes on subjects you learned the day-of.
She is a good professor and goes along with the notes. She does tend to over complicate things and teach things the harder way, but other than that its a good class.
This woman taught me nothing my entire time in her class, it was a reverse classroom meaning we taught everything ourselves at home and she would just give us work sheets to complete in class while she would sit there and drink her iced coffee. If you have a question she will say watch her videos at home she "wasnt here to review"
Good prof, but a little boring. Gives easy points for group work and homework is on MyMathLab. Has an exam in the beginning of the semester based on college algebra, no worries bc you technically have 2 tries on it. If you don't go, you probably won't understand the chapters. Provides fill in notes which are helpful. Exams are about 20 questions.
Maldonado is a true gem. She is as caring as my mother yet as strict as my dad. She is a lovely lady. She is always open for questions and is very approachable. She drops the lowest grade from each of the sections including exams, quizzes, and group work. After these dropped grades my grade sky rocketed like the Apollo space ship into space.
Each chapter has an exam that is extremely similar to the chapter reviews. Stay on top of the homework and you will pass. She warns you if theres an in class quiz. Drops a ton of low scores. The group project gives you extra points towards the final. Ask her plenty of questions during class! She is very helpful, but follows the syllabus to a T.
Only get the actual computer code- the extra booklet isn't going to be used at all. She uses MyMathLab and allows you to retake homework as much as you want. She drops about 6 assignments (a mix of homework, group work, and one exam). Very reasonable for a math class.
She's a great professor, and if you show up, you'll get an A. The work is easy and she's easy to get into contact with outside of class. She's very helpful and made learning math simple.
Her lectures are easy to follow along with bc she has notes pre-made for you to fill out. She is always accessible outside of class, always very prompt in responding. She is very considerate, she pushed back deadlines multiple times. She also is overly fair with her drops. Be respectful and she will be kind to you. 10/10
Loved this class, the set up of her class makes it easy to understand the material and what is going on. She creates her own packets that she follows in class which is super straight forward. Exams are relatively easy and she gives out a good amount of extra credit.
She is very intelligent and helpful. Make no mistake, there is A LOT of homework, but you honestly don't even have to do it, its like 10% of your grade. The exams are what matters and she provides an excellent study guide for them all. She also drops the lowest exam grade. If you get less than a B in this class, its honestly your fault.
There were 3 exams and a final and they were a huge percentage of our grade. But she provided study guides for each exam and they were always identical to the exams, so that was very helpful. She gave a lot of homework and quizzes on MyLabsPlus, but they don't affect your grade too much. She also dropped our lowest homework, quiz, and exam scores.
This is the best math prof I have ever had! She gives so much extra credit, she is always available (even on weekends), and the lectures are really good. Lots of homework, but it helped a lot. She does review sessions that are super helpful before each exam. Plus, the exams are multiple-choice and pretty easy! I ended with a 100.45% in her class.
Prof. Maldonado is one of the best math prof. I have ever taken! She is super friendly and is always willing to help. If you are having trouble on a certain topic, I HIGHLY recommend going to her office hours. She will personally sit down with you and explain any problem in depth. I also recommend printing out the notes she gives through canvas.
Professor Maldonado is a passionate instructor when it comes to math. She also shows care for her students. She shows this by constantly reminding her students about office hours. She does give out homework pop quizzes. However, she also reminds about any of those upcoming activities. If you study for this class, you will definitely pass.
Was a great professor and really good at explaining the material and was helpful during office hours. All tests are multiple-choice and are just like the study guide.
I do not like math, but I have never had such an easy time with a math course. She makes notes you can print out and fill in as you go so you can listen more during lectures. Good video lectures too. Always reminds us of upcoming assignments, and offers review sessions before exams. Do the homework and notes and there will be plenty of easy points.
I really enjoyed her class. She does a mix of a flipped classroom and in-person teaching but it's all really easy to follow because she gives an outline you can print out. The material is expectedly difficult but she always had office hours and gives study guides that are very similar to the tests.
Best math teacher thus far! I for one always had to work a bit harder at math, but she makes Pre-Calculus very, very straightforward. Her notes are detailed and are right to the point, and are very similar if not identical to problems on the homework. DO THE EXAM REVIEWS! Her exam reviews were by far the most helpful, as they are similar to exams.
If you're looking for a teacher who gives unnecessarily easy homework and unreasonably diffucly exams, this professor is for you. Be prepared for a long semester with a class average of 54% on every exam. On the final exam, a few questions had typos and didn't even have the correct answer as a choice on every test.
The homework had no translation to the quizzes or homework. Complete the exam reviews, the only relevant material. Lots of pop quizzes. The final was 25% of the grade and only 30 of the hardest questions. Harder than any test. I had an A all semester until the final. Quizzes are harder than tests. Class average on tests was 60s.
I would not recommend others to take this class. She is a nice lady but her teaching methods is rough. She will over explain and over complicate things aswell as she can't read the room. The exams are the hardest and nothing like the homework or any other assignments. They are also weighed quite heavily so you may need to drop if you dont do good.
horrible, do not take, does not drop any exams and they are weighed super heavily. if you are not a good test taker or dislike group work do not take this class.
This professor had awful lectures. She would go extremely fast during lectures and would not slow down or go back to explain things. She would assume her students knew things before the class started. There are pop quizzes almost every Friday and homework is nothing like the problems practiced in class. Exams do not follow the study guide.
Maldonado makes you work for the grade. Tons of homework and quizzes which was unnecessary. Class is a breeze if you keep up with lectures and fill out study guides as they are emblematic of the exams. However, even after scoring 100% on all of her exams, she still makes you take the final which is beyond me. Final is 25% of your grade.
Professor Maldonado is the worst math professor ever. I will never take another math class with her again. She assigns a lot of exams, homework, and quizzes and is a very strict grader. If you ever plan on taking a math class with her, you are making a mistake. There are way better math professors out there than her.
Fairly easy class, as long as you complete and understand the study guides you'll do fine on the exams. She moves through content quickly, but if you are having trouble she is accessible for office hours and has multiple TAs. Lots of homework, and it does not help at all.
She doesn't have good lectures. She prints out the her lecture notes and just fills them out for the class, she does not actually teach. I would not recommend taking her nor will I take her ever again. There are better professors out there.
She is amazing, her lectures are easy to understand. She has note outlines you can follow along with. The class has mini in-class quizzes to keep you on track (nothing hard) and home quizzes for each chapter. The homework isn't crazy. Use the study guides for the exams they are an accurate depiction of what will be on the test. Just do your work.
Best math professor at FGCU. Profesor Maldonado is so sweet and caring and is willing to make sure her students get the material. Her office hours are helpful and ensure you understand. Make sure to do the exam reviews early and go to office hours to go over the ones you did not understand.
I took this class over summer which is really long on lectures. Make sure to study before exams and bring any questions ahead. I got a C on my midterm and was able to score nearly perfect score on the final by doing this.
Great overall, and had a ton of online videos if you ever need to review anything from class.
Half of the thing on the homework she doesn't teach and you are forced to learn from mymathlab.
PICK HER IF POSSIBLE, honestly she is a wonderful professor who provides note outlines which you can use to follow along in class, said outlines are also very helpful for her homework assignments. Also, her exam reviews are almost identical to their respectful exam, so as long as you understand the review, it is a easy A or B for her exams.
She's a good professor, 4 exams which are weighted heavily and a final. I suggest using the study guides and making sure you understand the concepts. She does give formula sheets and her note outlines are helpful but the class is kinda teach yourself. We had some pop quizzes and the homework would be a lot sometimes. Put the work in.
Math is not my strongest subject but I ended up really liking this professor. She did a very good job explaining the content in class and she gives a very reasonable amount of homework compared to other professors. She has plenty of office hours and your lowest exam grade is replaced with your final if you do better.
She is a great professor! We get to practice problems while in class. She and her LA always walk around the room during this time to guide students. She uploads exam reviews to canvas. Constant feedback and emails about upcoming assignments. She wants her students to do well and always discusses office hours and the agenda for the next few weeks.
I had a high B the entire class and then I got a 60 on the cumulative final and ended with a C because it was weighed so much. The tests were brutal but the test reviews did help! She was accessible outside of class and good at teaching, but never understood when students asked questions. group quizzes were nice.
Great professor! She sent us messages multiple times a week reminding us of deadlines and office hours. I like the way she lectures and her explanations are very helpful to understand the content. Make sure to study her exam reviews because they have very similar questions that will be on exams.
Professor Maldonado's class is challenging, but using resources like unstuckstudy along with the study guides can really help. Attend office hours and stay on top of the workload.
This teacher is absolutely terrible, I did nothing to her in the class and I always turned in everything one time and for some reason she targeted me. She started to ask to go through my personal belongings in class during exams and she stares at me constantly during test which make it very hard to focus. DO NOT TAKE HER!
Honestly, this was the first time I trusted the reviews of an instructor and completely regretted it. She over-explains formulas, underexplains concepts, and her class average for every exam is always around 60%. Students stopped showing up to her lectures because they were so bad, and she tried bribing them to show by offering to drop more grades.
Do not take if you are wanting a professor who will teach you the material. All she does is copy down the notes from another sheet. The homework is relatively simple but not similar to the exams whatsoever. Think about this before choosing this professor.
Overcomplicates lectures, pop quizzes at random times, homework and notes do not help in the slightest, the tests are worth so much if you fail one your stuck a letter grade down and most boring uninspired useless lectures I've taken so far do not take her.
Worst math teacher I have EVER had. She is terrible at explaining the lessons. She makes you do hard group quizzes for each chapter that don't relate to the actual test. She provides a study guide for the chapter test but doesn't go over it. Only half of the questions on the study guide are on the test. Try to take someone else if at all possible
Please take ANYBODY else. She is terrible at explaining the concepts and I would have to just relearn the material with the math coaches or at peer tutoring. Class averages on tests were always 60% or below. The only reason I was able to get an A in the class was because of all the extra time I spent at peer tutoring at least 10 hours every week.
Honestly this professor wasn't that bad. She talks fairly slow but the math is genuinely like basic math. We learned like PEMDAS and area of shapes. If you're needing a math credit just take this cause it's so easy. There will be a pearson assignment for each lesson and occasional in class work.
Super sweet woman! TAKE HER! Makes own notes and fills them out with the class. Will be "pop quizzes" but she will tell you when they are. Just study the notes she gives you and you are destined to get an A+! If you miss a day, she already has videos for what you missed! Lowest grade replaced by final if higher! TAKE HER!!!
I took her for MGF 1130. Easy class and it was pretty much review for me. I found this class to be a DRAGGG though. It felt like she didnt know what she was doing half the time with everything but the math itself. She was always scrambling. Lots of hw and test heavy.
