Extremely interesting class with an excellent Prof. You'll have to turn in a 10 page essay but it's real easy! One midterm and final is all that is required but class participation is a must!! You'll enjoy this class and Dr. Poster is awesome! Take this class, you will not regret it!!!

I dreaded taking speech but she was incredibly warm and interesting. She expects alot and will make you work for a good grade but you will walk away from her class polished. Altho her expectations are high she'll ALWAYS make herself available needed.

Doctor Poster is a gem. If you are a slacker looking for a handout, go somewhere else and don't waste her and your classmate's time. If you put in effort and work hard you will succeed. She cares a lot about her students and it shows. I took SPE240 even though it did not count towards my major and it's the most useful course I've taken at BMCC.

I found Professor Poster to be an enaging and conscientious instructor. I took this course as a requirement for my major with no real enthusiasm for this particular subject. Dr. Poster's enaging style with students and diligent attention to students' needs and concern for their understanding of the material made this a worthwhile course to take.

if you really want to get a good grade for speech 100 i strongly recommend you to take her. it is so easy class. she just give you one quiz per chapter 10 questions true or false to do it at home with all your notes. the only exams you take in class are the midterm and the final which are pretty easy. the presentations is so esasy to get a b. you d

Absolutely a gem of a professor. Like the others have said, if you're a slacker, then find another section because Dr. Poster teaches a very labor-intensive course. However, she teaches you life lessons that will certainly help you attain a successful career. I'd take her class over and over again if I could, just to learn more.

Doctor Poster is one if not the best professor I have had during my college career. If you are lazy and don't like to go to class don't bother taking her interpersonal communication course. I highly suggest this course by the way, it will change the way you communicate with others.

If you are not in English 101 or higher then you really should not take her, because she will point out errors in your speech. If you want to take Speech 100, you should definitely tak her class because she is very knowledgeable of what she is teaching. You will learn from her. Make sure you go to class on time, she does not like people coming in late. Also her Speech 240 class is easy but the final paper... make sure you revise it carefully.

Blank is the best Prof at BMCC, Poster is a close second. The 1st or 2nd day when she has everyone introduce themselves ask her to tell the class about herself. She gave the class an all time great speech I wish I had recorded it so I could listen to it over and over again. She should be working at NYU or Stanford she's that good.

AMAZING! She is very clear about the material and opens your mind to things you never thought about until you reached her classroom. You will learn SO much from this course your going to wish there was more time to the semester. There's a take home quiz every chapter but the textbook was so good I wished I bought it instead of renting it.

I had Dr. Poster this past semester. I absolutely loved this class. The classes sometimes felt like therapy sessions. She's very clear in what she expects from her students & she will make you work for it, it is not an easy A. Very knowledgable & has a lot of good advice on communications & on life in general. Extremely tough grader. Cant really complain she just does her job and takes it very serious you must read the textbook to do good, although i must say first textbook i read that isn't boring. You cant hate her even if you wanted to shes just to small and cute. She may come off as judgmental at times though . Shes very loveable recommend her class

Just because I didn't participate enough she gave me a C

Almost everybody failed on midterm because test inculeded "8 choices" per each question, it was kind of confused(by the way, great trick to make students fail). I recommend her class, its useful for your personal and relational life, but if you shy to participate or you want to improve your pronunciation, nah, be aware from this class.

No professor is perfect. I didn't like her once when she replied to me in a way that did not seem caring or professional in front of the class. Overall, this class was excellent & I was actually able to apply some of the concepts I learned there to real life situations. I really do recommend Poster for better Interpersonal Communication skills.

Sandra Poster is the best professor at BMCC. EASY homework, she gives a weekly take home quiz that has to be answered according to the textbook. TEXTBOOK is needed! Get ready to write, she speaks and youll have to figure out was is important or not because she doesnt use power points. I would take this again!
