She teaches as though math is ABC... I mean you think everything is so easy and peachy keen but when it comes to her Tests...WHOA...and HER VOICE..one word ANNOYING
Doesn't care whether you pass or fail. She'll tell you to drop her class. Extremely rude to students. You should be really good at calculus to take her. Really, really hard grader.
dont take her class because she will PULVERize you!!! she has the most annoying voice, it will make you want to slit your own wrist. 80% failed the first exam, 60% dropped, 40% of the remaining failed the final. i was PULVERized!!!
This is a very good professor. I really enjoyed her class. She explained everything clearly. It was really easy to get through her class.

Doesn't care if you pass or fail. Is not willing to help you or give extra credit. I am quite good in Math but I still ended up with a D+ in her class. Honestly, if you decide to take her, make sure you do the HW and God help you with the rest.
She makes everything seem easy when teaching and going over homework, but when the tests come you're unprepared. She told many of us to drop the class. She was very rude. I didn't like her, her teaching, or her grading. If you have to take her, good luck.
I like math, and I took calculus before and didn't understand it. She explains everything SOOO slowly that there is no way to not understand it unless you're stupid. She can be mean, but she's a college professor so what do you expect?
So very rude, its one thing to get financial aid and have to put up with rude professors but when you're actually paying out of your pocket you're really tempted to go off. Rude and arrogant. Shame on Pace for not screening their professors.
learning stragety is like putting 1+1 together. but exams are killer; good chance of denting GPA if you don't be careful. participate in class so she knows you understand, do okay in the exams, and she isn't so bad. and always do the hw assignments.
If you are realy good in math, take her. However if you are a little less than average in math, transfer out quick! LoL Her tests will get you. She explains things clearly though, i'd give her that...but thats it.
those kids that think she is good need some medicine. this beach is the worst. straight out kills you with her voice and forget about the test dont matter how much or hard you study, you will fail.
she is a great professor, perhaps one of the best i have ever had. i think people whoever gave her those harsh ratings ought to take some medicines. (if not already on crack) her teaching style is extremely clear, exams aren't hard but only fair. but make sure you do the homeworks!
If you are not good in Math, don't consider taking her even if she is the only prof. that fits in your schedule. Put this class off for another semester or risk having your GPA Pulver-ized! I hope I made my point.

The worst professor Ive had at Pace. She has the most irritating voice I've ever heard, grades EXTREMELY harsh on tests. You CAN get below a 20 on a test. She'll be happy to give it to u. If u can avoid this class, take Tesoriero...She teaches at night but...just do it, trust me. If u wanna pass her, -DO- the optional HWs and study ur *ss off.
she's the cutest old person I've ever met in my life. Calc isn't too easy but she's a GREAT professor. More than half my class dropped however I think anyone can master mathmatics...and trust me, I'm the last person to say something like that (I learned how to dive and add fractions w/o a calculator!). She's cool...evil, but cool.
What a total ****. I hated her. Half the class fails and apparently we're to blame. Yeah I dont think so. She can't teach. She's a lttle old lady that needs to be squashed on like a roach. Pulver needs to get a life and stop treating her students so mean.

She is tough no doubt, but she always made sure we understood each point before moving on, if you don't understand after she explained it 3 times she will get frustrated but stay with you. I was worried by these ratings but after taking her class, she's actually a pretty good teacher. she explains everything thoroughly. I got an A.

By far the MEANEST professor I've ever had. She claims that we're all adults & she won't treat us as children but then gives a seating chart. She's good at teaching the material at hand but her tests are the hardest EVER. She only gives apprx 7 ?'s and cuts you no slack when grading. DO NOT take this woman. Half the class either fails or drops
She is a very good teacher despite the large number of drops. You understand everything she teaches you, but when it comes to the test, oh man that's hard. She takes the most difficult problems possible and well its just not fair and that's why people fail and drop. I would not take her again. Plus, ooooh that voice, its excruciating pain.
I'd rather go to Guantanamo than take her again. I've had a 3.9 GPA 3 years through Pace and had to kill myself just to get a chance at passing. Very rude...I was going to pull my laptop out in the middle of class and drop it before the first meeting ended!! The only reason i didnt was because i didnt want to be as rude as her. She did seem to know what she was talking about, although she did make some stupid mistakes when graphing. If you want to feel like a 2 year old...take her class!!
RUN. RUN. RUN. This is what nightmares are made of. day 1: 32 people. exam 1: 16 people. exam 2: 8 people. final exam: 6 people. NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!!!Oh yeah and her voice.... rips your ears open. ask anyone. SAVE YOURSELF.
****y at times but She very good professor who will explain and make sure all the students understand the material. Even though your class might decrease in size dont be discouraged. practically all the the tests consist of problems that have been worked on and explain in class.
Wow. find another class. she isnt helpful and can even confuse you at time. Isnt willing to explain things in class and her tests are graded harshly. Yea and dont make friends in this class because if you stay theyll be gone because 85% of the class drops
I loved Dr.Pulver. The class was hard at times, and her voice is harsh...but she will answer ANY questions people have. I was worried about calc because math has never been my favorite...but she teaches in a way that makes sense. Waking up at 7:30am wasn't awesome but still...Take her class!
Professor Pulver is an excellent professor. She knows the material extremely well. She's very helpful. She'll answer any questions or problems you don't understand. And of course you have to put your effort into studying as well. Come to class, take good notes, pay attention, and do her hw(it's not that much) and you'll be fine.

If u fail the first exam she tells you to drop because as she says "this isn't rocket science". ppl don't get her. Her voice is extremely annoying, and she gives a LOT of notes. However, copy the notes and do the hw she assigns every night and you will do well. The hw/test are exact exampls of the problems given in class. Not a hard class at all unless of course you miss class. attendance is a must. If you dont like taking notes or attending class don't take.
This woman is by far the rudest professor I have ever come in contact with at Pace. I almost failed this course. When I confronted her she told me I should just drop it, because I will never get an A looking at my prev grades. If you don't know an answer in class she carries on about how its not rocket science. VERY RUDE. don't take her.
very good math teacher she teaches the material and well..gives notes too..she knows her stuff.."rocket science" is her favorite slogan!!! put ur hw solution on the board cause it helps your grade

She has ruined my life and will ruin yours. Do not take her class. She will make you feel stupid for asking questions, and will fail you dont kid yourself. She told a large portion of the class, "When pigs fly you'll pass" and tried telling me that I had chosen the wrong major! DO NOT TAKE THIS WOMAN!

It's usually hard to read her writing. But her notes are useful. Definitly do the hw she gives, it's not alwasy the same as the test, but it's the same type of question. Take her if u don't mind doing some work
AVOID IF POSSIBLE. Great teacher, BUT when grading your exam she is extremely strict, one tiny missing info she will deduct points, and she is not helpful at all. Study hard for her exams, but she still deduct points for steps not written in, when it is not really necessary. If you don't want to ruin your gpa AVOID!!!
She is the best math teacher I have ever had. She explains things every clearly. Homework is given every night, but it is worthwhile. If you study the notes and do the homework you should be fine. FYI she is kind of strict on her tests. Just listen to her about decimal points and watch closely on how she does the problems.

He is a good teacher. Very clear on topics. The only thing that is not good is her attitude, sometimes she seems to be very happy, while at other times, she looks annoyed.

Honestly, the worst math teacher I've ever had; her grading is BS and WILL deduct points for no good reason (i.e: using a method different from the one she WANTS you to use to arrive at an answer will yield 0 points, even if you understand the material). Berated me after my last class and put me down. DO. NOT. TAKE. Or you'll regret it a LOT.
Explains everything very clearly and slowly. There is little hw every class, 2 exams and 1 final.She will help you if you try hard.Participation is a big plus, I suggest you sit in the front seats(she likes that a lot). The only problem is that she wants you to work in the exam EXACTLY how she taught you in class.But TAKE HER, you'll learn a lot..
This class was very easy. I never got anything lower than an A. Her voice is kind of irritating but she carefully goes through everything that you need to know. She is intimidating but if you are confused about something, ask her! A lot of people don't do well in her class because they're afraid to ask her for help and think they can figure it.
She is a very good professor i suggest you to take her.. if you give the big interest in her teaching, you will get an A.. She has a few homework everyday and these are so helpful for the exam... it will be tough for the exam if you dont do her homework..2 exams and 1 finals especially based on what she is teaching.. SIT INFRONT..
She is a great prof. I would def take her again if i had to. She explains things quite easily. Andyes, she may be a bit rude/mean sometimes, but you just gotta overlook that, bc you really WILL learn from her and she makes math easy. of course you also hav to study on your own, i mean this is college after all...
....if you don't know much about math, or you stuggle, this is NOT THE CLASS FOR YOU! she deducts point fors EVERYTHING on tests and is very hard headed in trying to hear a student out. 3 tests in class, fail one test and your done
She is really really tough on the class, lots of things to do prior to coming to class, many problems, and readings. If you want an A, you need to sit on your ass at least 3-4 hours a day and just focus on her class.
