Professor Sanchez is great! Is she difficult, heck yes! The problem is people don't know how to study. If you read you required material, she does a phenomenal job of piecing everything together. It is already a difficult class to begin with, why would you slack on your reading? I would absolutely take her again, she is funny and very light-hearted

I loved Prof. Sanchez as a teacher. Its a very tough class but thats due to the subject material. She really cares about your learning and grade. She will help you if you reach out to her. I really enjoyed her class, if you take the class seriously, participate, and study you will do fine.

Professor Sanchez, truly cares for her students success. She is so easy to approach if you have any questions, and will do everything in her power to help you understand the material. The material is not easy, so as long as you put in the work you'll do fine in her class.

Favorite class! Sanchez is a great prof! she makes lectures funny/interesting! Powerpoints have all the info you need for tests, but I still used the book for extra info. Honestly, it's a lot of info covered everyday, but take her advice and study all the time (thats what i did) and you'll have an A the whole class! take advantage of extra credit!!

I loved Professor Sanchez, she made class interesting and really tried to help students out. This class is not an easy A, you have to study outside of class and really work hard! Don't skip class, everything that she covers in class will help on the test! She's honestly one of the best professors I've had.

She is amazing, patient, and enthusiastic. It's not an easy class, you need to study and work for your grade. Book not required but recommend for studying. Do the extra credit and go to her office hours because she explains things more clearly and in detail if you weren't able to understand during lecture, and she doesn't make you feel dumb.

She is honestly one of the most sweetest people youd ever meet. She makes stuff easier if you go to her office hours which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Do the extra credit it theyre worth it and do stay on task. Lecture exams based on notes!

Amazing professor! Class is not easy as you have to work hard for it. But on the other hand, Sanchez is willing to help her students out, dont be shy. I have taken anatomy at a different community college and decided to try Professor Sanchez out this semester at Santiago. I LOVE her. She is by far the most motivating professors I have had for a science class. To be completely transparent she is disorganized and anatomy is tough. Show up and actually study and you will do fine. Go to the tutoring.

Sweet, personal, hilarious. Responds quickly on pronto. Asked her for mock practicums and exam reviews, which she went out of her way and did for us in her own personal time; literally gave us exam questions! Go to office hours to review quizzes and ask questions. Get ready to work hard; Anatomy is tough. Study the slides before lecture. Go to SI!!

She is a really great professor!!! Lectures and the lab book are where the content is, didn't really use textbook. YOU HAVE to put in the work. She likes to see her students trying, she knows its a touch subject. Talk to her, build a relationship, STUDY and make an effort, you'll do fine. She is a little messy but it's workable.

And, she has pre-recorded lectures so you can go back and listen to those. She literally tells us what's on the test and SHE LETS US USE A CHEAT SHEET as a reference for lecture exams!

Professor Sanchez is a great professor. She cares for all her students and wants everyone to succeed. If possible, try to take her class face-to-face and not online (it's tough to pay attention to her lectures online). Tests are manageable as she posts a study guide. If you put in the effort, this class isn't hard.

Just finished 8-weeks of anatomy over summer and I'm glad that I took Sanchez. 4 lecture exams and 4 lab exams. Any bio class at the 200+ level is hard, so be prepared to work. If you have taken Prof. Lui for 211, then the level of expectation is no different. Prof Sanchez cares a lot about us succeeding, such an amazing human being!

She is the best biology professor I have had so far. She actually teaches and knows what she is doing. She put in the effort to make her own PowerPoint, and exam questions are based on the lecture PowerPoint. You will get an A if you study and follow her lecture. Any biology courses are tough, to begin with. I was grateful to be her student.

She changed my perspective on biology. She makes the topic interesting, knows what she is doing, and is very knowledgeable. Her grading criteria are clear and straightforward. She is generous and flexible. I don't see why some people say that she is not reachable. But she is reachable and her office hours are consistent, and she is always there.

I'm taking Sanchez for Phys, and no regrets. It's a tough class, lots of info to know, but she walks you through everything - lecture and labs. You can use a "cheat sheet" on tests, and lectures are pre-recorded to review before exams. I really enjoyed her class and I recommend, she will prep you for ADN/BSN, PA, & MD/DO programs. Sanchez cares!!

There is a lot to know for this class, specially for those of us going into the health professions. Prof. Sanchez does an amazing job at supporting us and helping us get through this pre-req. I enjoyed my time with Sanchez. Best professor for 239 and 249. I wish she taught more classes like human genetics. She really does care about our success as students. Look, these classes are tough. Best professor for Anatomy!! Honestly, she walks us through labs. All of her lectures are recoded too in case you need to rewatch anything. She posts study guides as well. Sanchez goes above and beyond and you learn. It is a lot of info, but you got to study to be successful. I will take her 249 (physiology) class in the spring.

I agree with all the good reviews on here. Sanchez is one of the best. I was nervous about taking her class bc of the bad reviews but I think they are just lazy and bad students. It's a lot of info but Sanchez helps us understand the basics so we are successful in our nursing/PA/MD or DO programs. Study for lab exams 2 &3 - they're the hardest.

One of my favorite classes this semester bc of Sanchez. She teaches you what you need to know both in lecture and lab. Study guides are provided for exams. Honestly, the only way to fail her class is to not try. Lab exam 2 and lecture exam 3 are the hardest, so study for those. I am so happy I met her! Take her, you wont regret it for 239 + 249

Sanchez is an amazing human being! I enjoyed every moment of lecture and class with her. I wish she taught other classes like microbiology, cell and molecular biology, or genetics. She really is awesome. Honestly, she has a mother-like presence that is very comforting - she wants you to be successful and provides you with guidance. She is a QUEEN!

Prof. Sanchez ROCKS!! Go to class, go to all labs, do her study guides, and review her lectures online if you need too. Some of the lab practicums are hard, specially practicum 2. However, if you study, you will do good. She is there to help, took her for both anatomy and physiology.

This class is like drinking water from a fire hydrant, it is a lot of information but Sanchez makes it doable. The people who complain are bad students. Take Sanchez, you won't regret it.

Professor Sanchez is truly the best! Attendance is mandatory specially for labs. She has lectures already pre-recorded but it is definitely best to get them live. She truly cares for her students and wants them to succeed.

I agree with the positive comments and disagree with the negative ones. Lecture is straightforward. For lab, people don't come in prepared so they don't know what they're doing and do the lab wrong. She does yell but it's funny and not personal. I never took it personally and I got yelled at for messing up on several labs. Shes great, take her!! :)

I had a great time with Sanchez. Took her for 239 and 249! Do what she tells you. Listen to her. Show up to every lab. Participate... even if you have to fake it. Participate, go to office hours, ask questions, and watch her pre-recorded lectures on Canvas that's what helped me! Don't wait to start studying, start right away.

Took her anatomy summer course and everything is organized and structured well. She knows her physiology and anatomy to heart and able to explain it really well. She will prepare you for physiology and further down the road as she builds your foundation not based on memorization but actually learning the material. Dedicate time to study for an A.

The course bio 239 is a very difficult course. With what seems like an 85%+ dropout rate, it is not because of the professor. She is very caring and truly wants the best for every student. Prof. Sanchez offers office hours where she can answer any questions a student has and will help you study more efficiently for practicums/exams. 10/10 recommend

You must put in the work and dedicate time outside of class. A lot of material, but she makes it easy to understand. There are 3 practicums, 4 exams, not a cumulative final exam, & quizzes weekly. She has office hours, study guides, & pre-recorded lectures. Go to the STAR Center, they have practice exams and study guides for both lecture and lab.

I will say there are a lot of people who drop this class, but it's only because they don't realize that this class takes a lot of time and dedication. It's not a GE class that you'll get an A by studying last minute. Take advantage of her pre-recorded lectures, all of her EC opportunities, & office hours. Don't wait to study or ask for help :)

Sanchez is one of the best professors I've had (A & P). Class is structured well. Attendance isn't mandatory for lecture but she does offer EC here and there. If you've taken General Human Physio college class, you know the class is dense and memorization is not only needed but understanding the concepts. You need to study and grind to get an A.

I only had prof Sanchez for lecture; our class was split between her and another professor. She pre-records lectures so you can listen and watch those on your own. I found this really helpful on top of lecture. She offers a bit of extra credit. Her standards are high but she really wants to help you succeed. I would take her class again.

Professor Sanchez is one of the most accommodating instructors I've had. She gives several extra credit opportunities to make up for points lost on exams and lab quizzes and is a very forgiving grader when it comes to lab practicals. Always participate in lecture and lab (go up to the board and try, no matter how much or little you remember!).

This class is really difficult overall, regardless of the Professor. But she was amazing, you can tell she really cares and wants you to get a good grade. She is very willing to work with you if you're struggling and is, overall, a really good professor.
