Interesting class. I like the discussions. She's opinionated, yet listens also.

She doesn't hate skinny people and has never been rude. I loved her class and plan to take her for Eng 201

She is very opinionated but not to bad. She seems to have had a rough life but very willing to talk to you about your life woes. I would take her again, she cancelled class alot.

Missed class due to sickness, Always caring, understanding, and wonderful. She makes you work for your grade and teaches you alot about life and english. Always clear on due dates, Pushes you to your best ability!

I really enjoyed class discussions and our papers were on movies vs. reading books. She cancels class a lot and is a nice, caring person. Likes students and you will get out of this class what you put in.

she is strict with what she does, but for good reasons. get on her good side and become her favorite to ensure a good grade! she may seem intimidating, but she's a good person and really makes you laugh. she misses class a lot which is a good thing.

She had her favorites in class, and the ones she had on her bad side. All and all though she was fairly easy. Got an A on all of the papers, she seldom was in class.

I think that she is a good teacher, if you are unclear about something she is more then willing to talk you through it.

She is rude, especially at 8am. She is pretty straight forward but in a bad kind of way and she may embarass you at times. Never shows up to class though, she missed my class 7 or 8 times and she is always coughing and sick. Be ready to read and write.

She's a nice person, but not a good prof. I've been told I'm a strong writer, and all she does is shoot me down (and everyone else). I think she likes giving out bad grades even when you do what she asks you to do.

I thought she was a great professor. Its nice to have a professor that picks pop culture topics to write on. She's fun and very helpful. If you can write descently, you'll get an A..she's always absent and gives you plenty of times to write your papers

She was a very sarcastic professor, with a dry sense of humor. Only a few people would be laughing with her. She calls you out and sometimes emphasizes your embarassment to the rest of the class. She stresses oppression of women too much though.

I always looked forward to Sandy's class. I thought she was a wonderful professor. I also loved her sense of humor. She's a ray of sunshine.

overall a pretty good prof. didn't really care for her on the 1st day, but it got better. she always asks how u are doing and she really cares. pretty good class. not too hard. mostly reading. tests aren't too bad if you do the study guides

I think she's an alright prof. The class is pretty easy as long as you do the reading and come to class. Tests are quite easy if you do the study guide. The semester is over and she still hasnt cancelled class yet....

I must say, Sandy was always on here game. She was always willing to talk to you about a paper, and she doesn't expect much from you considering it's ENG 101. I thought the class was easy, and she enjoys teaching. She's quite the comedian too, as I loved her witty yet sophisticated sense of humor.

She is a great Professor. You can tell she really cares about her students and their lives. She made the material easy to apply to real life and drew upon our personal strengths and experiences. I would recommend her to anyone.

Prf. Snow is great. She loves pop culture so all your paper are about pop culture. She is a good teacher and lets you know what you can do to make yourself a better writer. She is anal though about plagarism and details about citing and punctuation, but thats not a big deal.

Pretty Good

She is a great professor. She gives you study guides that tell you exactly whats going to be on the tests. Study the study guides, and you'll get an A, no problem.

she's a diamond in the rough. she's got spunk.

She misses class a lot. She is really helpful, though, and quite friendly.

She seems disinterested in the beginning of the semester. After she warms up and the class give a bit more communication and discussion it goes smoother. The tests are somewhat difficult but the class itself is easy - lots of movies.

I had to take this class for a UP and ended up really enjoying it. Prof. Snow seems to really care about her students and can be quite whitty sometimes :)

With professor Snow you either lover her or hate her,theres no in-between. Personally I know a lot of pple don't like her because they think she is rude and doesn't accept a lot of crap. But the thing is get on her good side learn to like her she can be very helpful.Do good on her test and turn in all your work and you will get along fine with her

Great Professor, w/ good sense of humor

I've had Sandra for two semesters and I adore her. She is helpful, funny, and has taught me so much when it comes to writing. I wish I would have taken her ENG classes in the beginning of my academic career. She's a great person and all of you that say mean things about her should be ashamed of yourselves.

Professor Snow is an extremely intelligent woman and I really enjoy her. She is funny and extremely helpful when you don't understand something. I would recommend her to anyone.

She is a great teacher that will help anyone who shows effort in her class. The only draw back with her is that she is extremely slow at passing back papers. This makes it hard to improve your grade and see what you are doing wrong. Other than that she is a great teacher that is funny as well that always helps the learning process!

Sandra Snow will treat you with the respect you deserve. She's flexible and understanding if you act like a responsible adult. Attacks on her personaly are no more than a reflection of the character of the person rating her. Sandra knows her stuff and you will do well to learn from her. She's not your enemy. She wants to imprvove your skills!!

She is a tough professor, especially being a freshman english, but if you just write the papers on time, come to class, and make sure your always up on what due you will do well. Most people who hated her only feel this way because they never came to class and that is just not probably in this kind of class.

Cancels Class Often, but is very enthusiastic, and can be understanding and helpful...just go to class

She is really hard. However, she is very nice. Just make sure you go to class and write the papers. She criticizes but in a good way. It's helpful.

Prof. Snow is the laziest teacher I have ever met in my life. Papers were not graded in a timely manner at all. She is nice though. I feel like at the end she just gave random grades and I am not a fan of that at all. Also, I don't think she even read most of my papers. You need the books for sure and to go to every class even when pointless.

Definitely not a slack off class, and she does cancel class every now and then, but I felt it challenged me in a good way! If you put forth the effort, you will learn more about English. Use your resources and definitely buy the books (they're used often). If you want to learn, take ENG 101 with Prof Snow.

One of my favorite professors! She does have her "favorites", but as you get to know her she is a real fun teacher. I am also not a confident writer and I ended up doing better than I expected. The topics are easy to relate and easier to write. She is very good and I have her for ENG 201 this summer and am looking forward to it!

I took Professor Snow last semester for ENG 101, and this semester I took ENG 201 with a different professor...BIG mistake. If I could do it over again, I would take Professor Snow in a heartbeat. She's tough, but you learn, and ironically I learned more in her 101 class than I am in my 201 class this semester. You'll have to work but its worth it.

Professor Snow is a fair, respectable, and effective teacher. Yes, she challenges her students, and from the comments below you'll see that many of her students just couldn't rise to the challenge. Any attacks on her personally in posts below are proof that those students are lazy and immature.

I did not learn anything from Professor Snow. The class was a waste of time, and I would suggest to anyone who has gotten good grades in their English class in high school to take the CLEP test instead of taking ENG 101. Professor Snow's personality is not a favorable one either. If you do take her class make sure to buy the books.

Ok I took an expository writing class in high school where we learned the structure of essays and how they should look. This class taught me the exact opposite. I hated it! She does not explain anything, she merely expects you to understand the writing prompts. Out of the 5 papers we turned in she only graded 2 in time to be turned back. CLEP out!

The class is somewhat hard. Going to class really doesnt do anything, but is required. she will answer all the qustions you ask her and she does care a lot about her students and takes pride in her job. she does want students to pass so if you treat her nice she will pass you. not a bad class

She is such a great teacher and is super nice. She grades papers in a reasonable amount of time for their length and she has a lot of them to grade so be patient. I would recommend her for any freshman student, she will teach you a lot and is very precise when it comes to the papers. She is extremely helpful and cares so much about her students!

I have never learned as much as I have learned from Professor Snow. She is by far the best English teacher I have ever had. The papers are lengthy so grading takes a while, as expected. She will help with ANY questions you have. I RECOMMEND her for all College Freshman!

Snow is an AMAZING professor! One of Central Michigans best by far. Everyday you can tell she really enjoys her job. Very helpful and approachable for all students. Gives good directions for her papers and always makes sure that everyone understands the assignments. Learned way more than I ever anticipated, I highly recommend taking her.

Professor Snow is not the most exciting or welcoming professor in the world, but her class is helpful and she goes above and beyond the call of duty to be helpful. I admidt, she has been known to call people out in class, she says it how it is! Be prepared to be graded on attendance, and dont plan on slacking off.

Professor Snow may seem a little harsh or mean at first, but she is a FANTASTIC teacher. Seriously, if you have any questions or need help, JUST ASK. Learned a TON of useful information in this class. Don't be intimidated by her style- she is effective! I would take her for ENG 201 if she taught it!

Professor Snow is a nice lady once you get to know her. Get past the gruffness and she really cares about her students doing well. The first paper did not have much clarification, but the remaining papers she was always open to questions. A little bit of a hard grader, but try your best and you should do okay.

Professor Snow is an expert in her field. A complaint I hear and read a lot is that "only her opinions matter." What people don't realize is that "her opinion" of your writing is the professional standard that you will be held to throughout college and the real world. If you want to grow as a writer, I highly recommend this course.

Personally, I thought Professor Snow was very nice and helpful. If you took the time to ask questions she was more than willing to answer them. The class itself wasn't that great just because of how the school has it set up. I would recommend her as a teacher but only if you are willing to do the work.

I really loved this class. The books were interesting, though not what I usually read. Prof. Snow expects work to be done promptly and well, but she is understanding when there is a problem. I got sick the last week of class and she allowed me to turn in my paper late, without punishing me. Can be a hard class because of the reading load. Loved it
