it's hard to get A in the class. however if you take the materials seriously. those will be the life time assets of yours. perfect class for internationals who want to speak english effectively.

The class was fun and if you have common sense, you can't go wrong. So if you found it hard you shouldn't be in college. She was wonderful and I loved coming to class.

i took both her classes and loved them! it's nearly impossible to fail her class and i'm an average student and i got an A. ya she goes on tangents she knows what shes doing and likes being a teacher

I think some of these people are nuts. I'm a nursing student and learned so much that I use every day in other classes and at the hospital. Ms. Sudweeks made the class fun. Don't beleive the mean stuff, take her class!!!

She is very helpful. Take her class, it helps you being more effective in communicating with others, specially your significant other. It's good to know those stuff!

She cares about her students and makes getting an A possible without a whole lot of work. She does talk alot and will never let you out early, but her assignments are easy and tests moderate without studying. In this particular class she had 35! extra credit points available which made it possible to get the next grade up. A- teach overall recomend

I am a Speech major at Cal State Fullerton because of Sandy Sudweeks. She is the best teacher at GWC and has one numerous awards to back that up. She is the Department Chair. Wake up people, this is college. If you want easy, take College 100 or Health 107 or better yet, go back to high school. Sandy is a serious teacher for serious students!

I took this class during the summer and I totally enjoyed it. Her class taught me a lot on how to effectively communicate with other people. There are just some things you don't realize until you've taken speech. What's even better is when you apply some of her techniques to real life situations since they really do work. But yeah, take her! =D

The only reason anybody will not like this class, is if you are afraid to find out some truth about yourself. AWESOME TEACHER. ONE OF THE BEST.

She is the second best teacher I have ever have since my arrive in us. She realy helps international students reach their goals. I don't know who are this people talking bad about her, but I know one thing. Her class will improve your relationship with people you care about. I'm taking comm 100 with her now.

Sandy is a really great teacher and the class is interesting. Be sure to read the assigned chapters before class..there are quizzes almost every week. She offers extra credit as well.

After 2 years at GWC, Sandy is still my standing best and favorite teacher. Its pretty hard to fail and a bit easy to get an A but shes very helpful and cares about her students witch isnt a common attribute in teachers anymore it seems. Her only flaw is that she does repeat her stories alot.

Sudweeks is awesome. She cares a lot about her students. She has a very dry wit and sense of humor which I found entertaining. Take her class. If you put in a little effort and particpate in the class, you'll do well.

She's the nicest teacher out there. She claifies everything for her students and helps them out when they are in need. Barely any homework. Tests are based on her lectures (which is given to you). Small quizzes for every chapter read (but they are common sense). This class is very interesting.

She is so nice and her classes are very interesting. You learn a lot and the subject is very easy. If you pay attention in class and have half a clue, you will do well on her tests. There isn't very much homework at all so it was an easy "A" for me. Take her class, you'll love it and you'll love having her for a teacher!!

Sandy Sudweeks is a helpful and easy teacher. All of you have to do are reading books, 3 paper skills and 4 exams. They are easy, I just got an A in her class. If you got a B, she will add more points so that finally, you can get a better grade.

i took interpersonal communication with her. if english is your second language then take her - she really tries to help students with english problems. if english is your best language - you will be bored out of your mind. the tests and quizzes are common sense - i never opened the book and didnt have to take the final because my grade was so high

Sundy is really understandable teacher!!! Super funny!!! I often saw her during summer session. She also knows about ESL students a lot; she might help students not only ESL students but also American students understand. Her grading is not easy; it's especially for ESL students. She strongly recommended that take the class after finish Engl 100.

She is extremely helpful. I'm actually getting a better grade in this class than I did in my comm 100 class (with a different professor). A lot of her tests questions come directly from her lectures. She quizes you weekly on the reading though! (5 questions)

Sandy really knows her stuff. This is not the easiest class I've ever taken though. Lot's of talk about sex in this class, better be ok with that. Be prepared to work but you'll learn alot.

Honestly its a tad boring, she can get repetitive sometimes and strays off on random subjects, barely talks about the true intercultural communication, but overall a very easy class and a very easy A, miss sudweeks is also very helpful and does anything in her power to help her students, i HIGHLY reccomend her as a teacher, a mentor, and a friend

Overall, I would say it was an interesting class. I was a bit apprehensive after reading other peoples comments, but I ended up enjoying the class. My only complaint is that she was not very structured as far as sticking to the syllabus schedule. She was very helpful to ESL students.

Not a hard class as long as your willing to learn. She really likes what she teaches but is strict on little things so just dont mess around and youll b fine. Do all your work or you will fail. Final paper requires a lot of time outside of class with a partner, that was the most difficult thing though. Final was cancelled, tests & assign.are pie.

She is a great teacher, final exam was cancelled but the final paper is still due. I'm Vietnamese so it was kind of funny in class whenever she slammed a Euro American, but I understood why she debated with them. Quizzes are kind of tricky. Papers are like pie as long as you follow directions. My advice is to think really hard before speaking. HFGL

Sudweeks is soo cool. I had a lot of fun in this class. It was a joy coming to class every week. She does think she knows everything, but its chill. Will not be disappointed if attending her class.

Powerpoint lecture notes in every single class. She WILL call on you and sometimes traps you with her questions. Only 5 questions on quizzes which are true and false based on readings of each chapter.. which should be read before you come to class. About 3 or 4 essays and she picks on ESL students A LOT to "help" them learn english.

I loved her class, she is one of the best teachers and it was very easy for me to learn. She does like to pick on ESL students a lot, but it is to teach them and help them understand. She is very outspoken, but you get what she is trying to say. I am excited to take more of her classes.

Ms. Sudweeks is an awesome teacher. Very passionate about teaching. She is a bit abrasive but I don't think she means anything by it. Tests all based off of study sheets, based off books. Same thing with quizzes. Two written assignments. Brief group discussions in every class. Attendance mandatory. You will get an A if you go to class and study!

And to the women who come to her class wearing high heels and that are overdressed- you think that's really appropriate clothing for a classroom environment? Don't act surprised, because she makes her guidelines very clear regarding dress code for male AND female students. So don't go telling people she single out women for dressing like strippers.

Sandy's class was really easy. A lot of the material is common sense. Her quizzes are True/False. Most of the time you can do well even if you don't do the reading. She gives out study guides for tests. There are 3 papers. We had an extra credit paper. I wish she would put more effort into learning students' names though. She calls on people a lot.

Sandy is amazing! One of the most passionate educators I've ever met. She makes everything super interesting and ties in current events to almost every subject. Make sure you buy a binder you'll have a fat stack of handouts by the end of the semester. You've been worned

This class was very simple. You don't need the text book as the class and tests are simple. However somedays the teacher could get very annoying which made the class hard to follow. I would recommend a different teacher if you can.

Professor Sudweeks is an excellent teacher. She uses examples from her own experience to help you better understand the material. The book isn't really required as for the quizes/exams are very simple. She can be a tad mean at times if you give her the reason too(do not say dumb things).The only difficult thing about this class is it can be boring.

This class was easy. 4 reaction papers,8 true false quizzes(base on reading),3 tests with study guide and cheat note on one, and a final group project video. her class is easy. hardly any efforts put into it. test are base on the ppt she gives you. helpful teacher, but kind of boring at times. overall take her for an easy B.

A great class to learn about cultures. Also a great break from all the difficult math and science course. Plenty of extra credit. Be sure to do the reading right before class and to take the essays seriously.

I took intercultural comm in the spring and loved the class. It is extremely informative and you honestly learn something new about yourself every day. Sandy is an amazing passionate teacher but, she does tend to say some provocative slightly offensive things. There is not too much of a work load but class attendance is mandatory.

Great professor. She knows what she teaches. I learned a lot in her Communication 100 class and got an A. This class helped me a lot in personal life. Quizzes and tests were not hard, just read the text and you can ace them.

Ive taken her in 2 comm classes. By far best professor i have ever had. She has life stories of every situation and you can connect much better to the material that is thrown at you. She is a must take before she retires, if your a comm major take her !!!!

This is a very great professor. She is highly respected in her field and on campus. She has been teaching Intercultural Comm for many decades and stays in tune with current times. She is funny and has many adventures to share along with encouraging class participation which helps when you are ready to do a group project. She's a world traveler! YES

Very hilarious and experienced professor. She makes sure the class stays interesting and engaging. A lot of people had a hard time in her class, not sure why. Just be a decent writer and try and you will be fine.
