Probably the best teacher I've come across while at Seneca. She knows her stuff. Very intellectual and friendly. She will attempt to boost the class mark when needed.

She is funny and talk fast. She explain the stuffs pretty well and she is not textbook oriented so you would probably understand better. She gave out handouts and it helps so much for each chapter which you have to study. Generally she's good and funny and she talks a lot about her husband.

Sandra is the greatest! She's very helpful and teaches in a way that all students can easily understand. Very easy to get along with and clearly loves what she's doing. Nothing is impossible in her class!
Sandra is a very nice teacher. If you have any problem you need to talk to her and she will listen and understand. Sandra has improved a lot with her attendance so don't worry about her not coming to class anymore.
Sandra is a cool teacher. She explains things well, emails ahead of time if you should be in class or not (Snow storm that day) and also will go out of her way to make sure, not only you, but the class understands the material. AWESOME! AWESOMMEE!!!!
She is the best teacher I've had at Seneca. She's very helpful and understanding and has a true pasion for what she does. There's the odd time when a class will be cancelled but she'll consult the class ahead of time. Just study her handouts and pay attention in class and you'll do fine. She's funny and not afraid to put you in your place.

Hell i know more about her husband and three children and the 4 women she hangs out with...altogether they have 15 children ! who cares? i need to learn the formulas and information on economics that can contribute to me passing this course. she knows the material BUT! she shouldn't have become a professor.Sandra suck !

Often Late but classes are very interesting because she relates material to real life issues and gives great example to understand. Doesn't encourage you make appointments with her if your having problems.However she makes the class easier to understand and is a good teacher that really knows the material and knows how to teach.
Great teacher! You learn a lot of usefull info for life. Talks a lot about her personal experience and it's quite interesting. Overall good times and I would deffinately recommend her to anyone looking to take her class(es).

Great teacher! uses powerpoint slides and you dont need to come to class. Just make sure you come for tests and hand in your assignments. She's really laid back and i highly recommend this teacher!

She is ok. She is always late for class, don't worry about getting there on time, get a coffee and read a newspaper, relax. From economics course, she is easier marker. Makes sure you get it before moving on. She can confuse you at times. Knows her stuff.
Sandra was my favourite teacher ever. I wasn't happy about having to take this class, but I ended up with an A because of her. She made class interesting, and related all the material to real life. Very, very highly recommended.
If you have Sandra Wellman, please get out while you still can. She is the worst prof for economics. She doesn't give you in reviews for her tests and she never reopens her labs. She always complains about her children and husbdand. She knows her material but she sucks at teaching it. Her tests are another language. My grade was over a B.

She also easily get off track and talks about pointless**** like her kids and her $60000 pool. No one gives a crap.If economics interests you stay in her class, if you dont care for it pick another teacher.

She is the worst teacher ever. She was extremely unprofessional, spiteful, mean, and completely useless. I don't know how she's a teacher. She told our class the very first day that she expected at least half of us to fail or drop out. She is negative and overall the worst teacher i have ever had. DO NOT go into her class
Clearly, she has an enjoyment of seeing her students do poorly in her class! She states that more than half of the class will fail. Her lectures are unrelated to the lyryx labs that we have to do and she doesn't reopen them. If you do end up in her class, please remain focused and ignore her rude attitude, in order to succeed. Sandra is a good professor, but a bit rude and ****. She makes you believe what she says is true.
she always absent and late, but she does not want her students fail, finally, she will give you some hints with respect to the exam,there is no presentation in her class, only listen and reading. if you are a hard working person, choose her, she is very respecting to the students whose second language is English.

She might be better on teaching for BUS106 because it is much easier than BUS400. If you are not expect a teacher who is proficient in economy,and than you can take her class,but this course does need a professional as well experienced teacher to clarify the knowledge to student,otherwise you may feel this course is hard to understand thoroughly.
Massive teacher fail. All the positive comments on bus400 about this teacher are from her. She does not teach what you need to know for tests. Goes around in circles over explaining basic concepts, and then leaves out more than 50 % of the test content in class. Massive teacher fail. And in this class you need a proficient teacher!
Shes ok. Pretty cool. Definitely know what shes talking about. Her review for midterm and final are not that useful and do not reflect the actual content on the test.
Love her! Great teacher, makes class super interesting and teaches all the information you need to know. Reviews for tests and exams are very good, she tells you exactly what you need to know.
She's a cool teacher who teaches lecture style. There's a lot of content to understand so be sure to ask questions if you don't understand. She's very thoroughly and explains very well. Her exam reviews are very thorough as well. Her tests/exams are straight out of the study guide and more than fair. Pay attention in class and you will do well.

Very hard teacher, teaches like a university teacher. Unfortunately we're in COLLEGE. This is by far the hardest course i had ever taken at Seneca, if you can find another prof for this please switch!
Sandra is a great teacher. She has a PHD in economics and is really passionate about teaching economics. If you are interested in economics and want to learn the subject taker her. If you just want to slack off and do bare minimum there are easier professors you can take. Overall I really enjoyed having her as a prof!
This teacher is amazing! She tries to understand that international students struggle with English. In addition, she gives helpful sheets for tests, discusses in class with students, explains well. If you read testbook thoroughly, you will get A or A+ easily in tests!

Very erratic and mean, and rarely pleasant or accomodating to students. Doesnt teach knowledge just recites.
Amazing Professor with amazing lectures. She is very clear in her lectures and gives you useful materials to study. If you read your textbook and do your work, you will do really well in this course.
Most laid back and fun teacher I had in a long time, a combination that is hard to perfect. She does go off-topic time to time, but it helps get through the long classes. Very very easy marker, pretty much a freebie if you have her.
Sandra may seem really tough on students and she is but that's what I loved most about her. If you want a prof who gives a sh*t about you and your grade take her course, go to each class, do your work and you'll be given a great grade. Very knowledgeable teacher who loves her profession. To be honest, she doesn't teach. She's comes in gives you a test and then leaves. She gave a lecture the first class and from then on nothing. You can't learn Econ by yourself. You need visuals and explanations. She tells you about her personal life and then expects you to learn something from it. Don't take her if there are other choices.

Didn't enjoy her teaching style. Confused a lot even tho I read the text before class & took micro econ. Does give you materials to help study, but she doesn't really do in class teaching. Teaches the simple things & when the tests come it is different. I was barely passing but ended with an A bc if you do great on your final projects you're good.
Very disorganized teacher. Always comes late and makes excuses; when she is really only hurting our learning because once shes finally in class she's all over the place and is disorganized in her teaching style. Also, the textbook with her name on it is really not necessary to this course and she even comments on how its not always very useful..

This prof, for most of the semester seemed fair, but COVID19 hit.. and she took advantage of it. She made all the assignments extremely time consuming as well as made us research material that she never taught... HERE'S THE KICKER: She decided to be nice and remove short answers from the final exam... said it'll only be 30 MCQ... but she lied :)
She just took advantage of COVID-19. She did not take a single online lecture that was supposed to take. She just uploaded the document and mailed us that if you have any doubt please mail me. How are we suppose to have doubt without making us teach anything? We can get information online too, it is the lecture that we want her to deliver.
Great Prof
Really nice lady who I learned a lot from! That being said, she needs to remember that she teaches at a COLLEGE not university. Her course was hard and if you don't study or attend class you will NOT pass/do well. That being said, I enjoyed her class a lot and felt like she challenged me in ways I hadn't been before at Seneca.
Good professor. Could explain more in deep when it comes to exercises and labs and could definitely provide more feedback. Really enjoyed the class tho, it is very interesting.
Well, I regret choosing her because I know because of my mark in this class, My GPA will go from 3.7 to 3.4 probably. She makes the course heavy for nothing. The course can be well explain but she just give you long readings/video and that's it. For every questions that you ask for clarification, she tells that everything is already on Blackboard.
Rather than hosting lectures where we are taught, we are instead given a document each week with youtube videos and articles to read and class time is for questions we may have on the document. Due dates are also shifted to line up with her other classes ie. our class had 5 days to finish a project rather than the whole week like other sections.
She is one of the toughest professor I ever met in my Seneca College Life. Very rude to be specific and gives 0 and F without specific reason for a research assignment.

Heavy assignments and her "lecture" lasts for 30 mins, but it actually a video to tell you what to read, what to read, and that's it. Not inspirational at all, since she didn't even teach.
I'm in last semester of my program and till now I have received A+ in all my courses but this time I am not quite sure considering the fact that this lady doesn't write proper English which makes the assignments difficult to understand. She never replies to emails and tries to act cool in class, saying " please email me your query, don't ask here"
It is just the worst professor I have ever met.
She has graded nothing so far with less than 4 weeks to go in the course. No live lessons. Does not answer emails or questions. The instructions are unclear and expectations during a pandemic are unrealistic. Expected a 20 minute video recording on course content not taking into consideration equality and lack of resources to do that task.
She didn't mark anything the whole semester. We only got our marks because another prof had to bail her out in the end. She did not teach ANYTHING. We had to complete weekly Modules and learn all concepts ourselves. Her assignment outlines were very vague. If something was unclear with the lesson OR assignment, she did not respond to emails at all.
The professor gives marks strictly. Her lecture is hard to comprehend, she is extremely strict. I don't suggest you take a course with her.
It is awful to take a class with her, I don't know why she gets 3.4.

worst professor ever, i did so good in final exam but she just gimme 11/70, i was in my final sem and just because she didn't gimme few marks, i had to take one more sem just to complete that course.

The course was very difficult, and the professor didn't provide enough support. Only one lesson was explained online, and the rest were pre-recorded videos to learn on our own. Economics is tough, and more direct engagement from the professor would have helped us better understand the material. Tests are all in person and very difficult.
RUN RUN RUN If you are even thinking of taking her class, DON'T. You gonna regret that later.
Believe me, this professor never listen, even if you are not able to understand anything and ask her again she WILL make fun of you in the entire class. The subject is not difficult at all, but the way she grades is. She only scores to deduct as many marks as she can. Its not just me, Our class of 32 students felt the same way. Rest is up to you!
Not a good professor. Her work ethics are terrible. I am grade a+ student but scored less in this particular course as she was never satisfied by the work I submitted. In assignment 1 she even tried putting plagiarism on my work. If you are choosing her all the very best.

Professor Wellman should strive to provide clearer instructions and fairer grading practices. A more approachable and supportive attitude would help students feel encouraged rather than stressed. Do not choose this professor if you don't want to stress.
Well being supportive goes a long way, I think that is what teaching and learning is all about. She will just not listen to you, its her way or the high way. I found lectures to be pretty good. But graded on very few things. You need to work extremely hard.
The professor can be challenging, but engaging with the course structure and materials, along with tools like unstuck study, can really pay off. Worth considering if you're up for the work.

The course could be easy, but her way makes everything AWFUL. There's nothing difficult about the material itself, but she puts unnecessary extra pressure on you, adding extra steps just to make sure you're not using AI, and ironically, she‘ll think you did anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️
