He is an awesome professor! The class is very interactive. Not much use of textbook during class, however, exams come STRAIGHT from the book. Article Critiques for every class(not hard), 2 exams, attendance and participation very important!He gives good advice and real-life, useful examples for the industry.

This guy is very knowledgeable and experienced, knows exactly what he's talking about. Doesn't really lecture, he's more interactive, participation is a must. There are 2 exams (midterm-final) straight from the book, 10 article critiques, attendance is mandatory. Material is not too difficult, the class itself was relatively easy. I recommend him.

There is a 20 page paper about your life, but it is easy because you are talking about you.

At first I did not understand why his past students came to retake the class and brought guest, but now I do and I would do the same. Professor Formicas Personal Empowerment course was the best course I have ever taken at FIU, in all 4 years. It should be a core requirement as this class taught me more about myself and life in general than any course I have taken.
