Lanoue somehow manages to teach algebra in vividly clear baby steps. Pass her class you will.

She explains things very clearly, and slowly. She makes sure everyone understands. She makes herself available to anyone that needs her help. Even if Math is one of your weaker subjects, you will understand it.

Sandy makes things clear and makes herself available for instruction outside of class time.She does not like talking during instruction time unless asking questions about the lesson. She gives time at the start of class for review. Wonderful lady.

She was a good instructor. I was just a silly student who couldn't get the Algebra.

I hated Algebra until I took this course under Sandy. She explained basic Algebra as to where I now possess a superior understanding of its basic mechanics.I must admit though Algebra is still not my fav. course; however I no longer fear this type of math. Be prepared for LOTS of homework !

She goes above and beyond to help. She gave us bonus points to replace a test. No homework. And she set up extra study time with us twice a week. If you fail this class, it's not her fault. She should be teacher of the year.

Goes over everything on board. Do your homework. Study for quizes and tests will be easy. She doesn't like it if your late.

I took her for basic math also. if you take basic math with her all her classes will make since. she is a great teacher. algebra is hard therefore you have to know all basic math to get prepared. i think alot of people skip basic math because they think they are prepared but they are not, so they are not picking up on the material.

She is a nice teacher but I don't like the way she teaches. She writes everything on the board but doesn't teach you much of anything. This class was difficult for me but when I took the same class with a different teacher, I made an A! Don't figure! If you choose her, get ready for homework and hard test!

Sandy writes everything out clearly on the board; she does not shortcut or skip steps. Her study guides are very helpful and include every kind of problem that will be on the test, so there are no nasty surprises. Tests are worth 105 points, which means you have the opportunity to earn 5 points of extra credit. Excellent teacher!

Well if you are really good at math like I am don't take her. But if you struggle than you well love her. She goes over everythinig step by step very good which can be boring if you know you stuff. I love the way she grades the homework.

Ms. Lanoue is the "Best" math teacher i've ever had in my life! She explains perfectly, makes arrangements for students, and gets the point across clearly. Test/Quizes are simple if you study. She cuts no slack about grading though. She also misses days and lets class out early (a major plus). Great Teacher. Have fun.

If you do the homework this class is alot easier. It's all on course compass on the internet. Homework counts as bonus points that can take the place of a test so you do the homework you'll get a good grade.

While she is not an exciting teacher, she is paitent, goes over everything. Uses e-compass for homework. If math is not your thing..she is the teacher for you. She always answers questions and goes over test & homework if you request it. I liked her but she is a bit boring.

She teaches baby steps in each and every problem to make sure that you understand how to do Alg. She was great teacher and I'm taking her again for Col. Algb.

Sandy is great. She takes her time to make sure everyone is okay and if anyone has questions before she moves on. She does need to work on when she has lab time. If she wants everyone to go to lab it should be done as soon as class starts and not at the end of class. Would be great if she could review previous class work before moving on.

I really struggle with math, she is heaven sent! If you are like me and need that extra bit of info or help, take Sandra Lanoue. Alway prepared for class and VERY professional. Not hard on the eyes either :)

Lanoue is an awesome teacher! Very helpful and VERY encouraging. I constantly worried about my grade because I am terrible with Algebra but she always had time to help me and to go over everything with me. In high school the highest grade I go in math was a "C". I passed this class with an "A". She is by far THE BEST math teacher I have ever had. She explains things in steps and gives you several examples before moving on. She treats HW as extra credit and announces tests/quizzes before hand. She always answers any question asked. Highly suggest her.

Took the 16week Algebra Internet Class, not going to lie, it was tough, lot of work, lot of hours to put in, plenty of extra credit, the only hard part was the chapter test.. tough! but im no ace with math anyways. Some advice if you take it, "Ctrl + PrintScreen" All of your notes, and save in MS Word, made it much much easier for me!

She's really easy to understand, very helpful when you need it. Not very exciting, but the homework is always optional, which makes this class very easy to handle.

Simple to get an "A" and i'm awful at math. Homework is optional but if you do it all, it is helpful for practice and can replace a test grade at the end of the semester. She is a helpful teacher; guides you through and wants you to ask for help. Book not used. Classwork is at random so try to attend- she drops low grades though :] RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Mrs. Lanoue was a great calc 1 teacher! She's really nice and helpful. I loved that she taught with examples from homework and the book. She drops your lowest quiz grade & will replace lowest test grade with grade you make on the final, if it is higher.Hard class, but you can get an A if you do the work & study. :)

She is a great math teacher! I was dreading math before the start of this spring semester and I passed the class with a B+! She explains everything clearly and is helpful in and out of class. I've never gotten math or did I enjoy it, but this semester I did! Handouts every class, study guide for tests! I would definitely recommend taking her!

Fall 2012 online class, did not buy the book, can make a 70% on the final and still get an A. Lot of bonus points, very helpful and quick to respond with clear and detailed answers. I dropped out of school 20 years ago and was very fearful of College Algebra. S. Lanoue made it clear and very easy to understand. Awesome teacher, highly recommended!

Mrs.lanoue is an ok teacher she will help if u need it bt for me she went over the material too fast before i could finally understand one problem she was on to the next. I dont think I will take her again. Only gives a couple bonuses and its too much homwork. The final was hard.

Lanoue is a great teacher. She was always helpful. She helped me during her office hours multiple times. She was a little heavy with the homework but it paid off. The homework was always tougher than the tests. She does not give out grades but does give extra credit opportunities. I ended up with a 100 in her calc 1 cl ass. I wish she taught calc 2

Mrs. Lanoue is a WONDERFUL Algebra teacher. Her lectures are clear and you aren't left wondering "what is she talking about" There is a test every 2 chapters and a study guide for each test. The class before each test we go over the study guide. To fail this class you really have to try. She is so sweet. TAKE HER!!

Must purchase book and on line disk - costs $250+ but worth it to pass the class! it's a pretty tough course but she will help the students, don't be afraid to ask or go to her for help! she is like most people be nice and honest and she does the same. Really a great teacher

Great teacher! Answers any questions you have, homework isn't too bad but still easier than the test questions. Gives extra credit every now and again and makes sure you understand the material. Would definitely recommend.

I had her for College Algebra and I would definitely take her again. She has handouts you can print from Blackboard and then fill out during her lecture. Decent amount of tests and quizzes but if you ever need help, she'll go out of her way to get it to you. Also, don't buy the book. You won't need it.

She is the best math teacher!! If you don't think math is your strong suit I would so recommend her. She has handouts, videos, and gives examples before class. Whats on the notes are pretty much the homework, quizzes, and exams. Once you are done with homework you get to leave class unless you have further questions. TAKE HER YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

She is a good instructor, very easy to follow. She does examples in class and welcomes questions. Homework is done online. She gives study guides for tests and goes over some of the problems in class that students ask her to. Its a lot of work but if you do the work and come to class you should do fine.

I was going to drop this class because I thought it would be too difficult, but now it's the end of the semester and I have a 94. You definitely have to work for it, but Mrs. Lanoue will always help you out. Class is boring, but you have to go if you expect to understand everything. I would recommend her to any one!

I took Mrs. Lanoue for online College Algebra. She was very helpful and encouraging and the extra credit opportunities were very nice. She is very fast at responding to emails which is always a plus for online classes. She gives test preps before every test which helps a lot. I would definitely take one of her classes again.

A nice lady. Loved the study guides she gives for each section to write notes on. There is a lot of work but nothing too terrible. Do all of the assignments and you will be just fine when finals come around. I would take her if you find math difficult because she explains step by step, and she trains you on how to use your calculator.

Sandy is a great professor. She really wants you to understand the material and be successful to move on to college algebra. She is no-nonsense, and very focused on making sure you are paying attention but that's because you need to pass the final to get into college algebra. Very friendly and approachable if you need help though.

Amazing professor. She is very knowledgeable on the subject and writes problems on the board for every section. Goes over problems slowly and will repeat problems if you don't understand them. Tests are not hard if you study, and she will give study guides for each test. The study guides are relevant and have the same types of problems.

Took College Algebra and she actually wants you to know your stuff. She constantly tells the class to stop by her office if anything doesn't make sense or if we need help. There's manageable/ not too much homework at all. Does review in class before exams.

I've always been just ok/decent at math but professor Lanoue helped me understand it much better. I actually took her for online math and did horrible, I highly recommend not taking an online math course. Not a ton of homework but an average amount and she will go over problems on homework and exams with the class if needed. Very helpful professor.

I took her online college algebra course and the work load is very heavy. You really need to pay attention to the videos and TAKE MANY NOTES. There is a total of four proctored exams and she gives you partial credit to score the best as possible. There are many quizzes but the actual homework portion is not mandatory. overall hard but bearable.

Miss. Lanoue is a great teacher. Shes easily accessible, gives PLENTY of extra credit, plenty of homework assignments and quizzes. Gives you every opportunity to make an A. Lots of homework but its good because it makes the quizzes and tests really easy. Her study guides are literally the test itself. Put forth effort, get an A.

I took Basic Math/Beginning Algebra. The material is very easy but you are doing a lot of work in this class. if you aren't doing homework every day you will fall behind very quickly. If you need both of these credits take this combined course. Like I said it's very easy material. Just be prepared to work.

I took her online College Algebra class. If you complete all your assignments by her goal due dates, you will be golden. I'm terrible at algebra and passed. She is excellent at returning emails and making sure you understand the material. Pay attention to announcement updates because she does extra credit.

Sandra was an excellent professor. I had taken this class twice before, one in class and one online, and I struggled. I finally took Sandra's course this last semester. She emails you every week with reminders of what is due, she gives a chance for extra credit for every exam, including the final. If you need this class I would take her.

She is awesome teaching math! Yes you will have homework almost everyday but it will prepare you for the quizzes/tests. She gives a lot of extra credit. She doesnt like students to show up late constantly and she may appear to be strict, but she is not. Just do what she tells you and will you pass. She will even help outside the classroom.

Class is a typical online math class, it was a lot of work for a summer course, but that was expected. Prepare for 3-5, 30 question assignments a week. Prof Lanoue was incredibly easy to reach out to, she responds usually within a few hours and she offers office hours. Definitely recommend this teacher for online for that reason alone.

Profesor Lanoue is a great teacher. She is very thorough and hits every teaching method there is. Her test study guides are extremely helpful and will prepare you for her tests as long as you study and ask questions.

rofessor Lanoe is amazing math instructor. Enrolled in her spring PrecalcusII course . Her lectures were informative and she offered her own mnemonic devices to help learn the material. There was quite a bit of homework but with study guides and practice problems it really prepares you for the test. You can really tell she loves to teach.
