The teacher really explained the material well
very nice teacher, but you need to study hard to do well
Takes the time to go over homework everyday and will explain until you understand.
Takes his time and makes sure you understand everything.

He was an average teacher, but easy on the eyes.
This teacher made so mant mistakes while he taught, I dont think he was very helpful and wrote very sloppy and talk low.
Friendly, approachable, goes over all questions and problems, offers help outside of class, tries to offer you the easiest way to solve problems. Test are your only grades, just study and you'll pass. No extra credit. Highly recommended.
He SUCKS big time, He puts the student down whenever you might want to ask a question!. I don't know where he got his degree, but he better go and get certified again to teach Math. Do yourself a favor and take another professor! (R&D)
Geraci, seems like he would be a good person outside of class, but honestly I was never able to comprehend his lectures,he would take a simple problem and make it difficult. It felt as though he was always trying to prove how smart he was.
knowledgeable, nice, and will take his time to make sure you understand, even if it takes time after class. some of the stuff is hard and needs your study time at home, but it is manageable with his help. and he reviews tests after the fact and gives partial credit for showing work.
Very nice guy. However, he comes to class unprepared and is very confusing.
teacher explains very well and is willing to help students outside of class. I highly recommend this professor.
His class is fairly easy; if you do the homework you'll definitely pass his tests. He likes to make sarcastic comments at times and he gets annoyed when he's asked too many questions.
Horrible. Unorganized. Makes so many mistakes on the board always late, only good thing is he grades fair
Hes attrative
He explains very well and his tests are fair. He is available outside of class for extra help.
Horrible, Horrible teacher! Mean too! Always kept the students late and cramming material in the last min. Not very helpful when you ask questions.
the dude confuses the hell out of you but if you pay attention in class and do the homework you'll pass the class **** it i recomand him
One of the worse math teachers I ever had!!! Hes too fast and assumes that everyone knows what they are doing. He skips a bunch of steps so, most of the time your confused! Hes nerdy, rude, sarcastic, lacks a sense of humor and is not helpful! Definitley not a worthy math prof.
He does make a lot of mistakes but sometimes it's helpful in learning. He does squeeze lots of things into the last few minutes of class but the class is fairly easy; however, if you aren't good at math, this isn't the teacher for you.
The worse math teacher I have ever had. Everyone makes mistakes... but he just makes WAY too many. He doesn't prepare class, so his lectures are very disorganized making it very hard to keep up with him. DON'T RECOMEND HIM!
Good Teacher
He is not clean in what he sais and not very helpful.
I think I should have taught the class. I always wondered how someone like him could actually have received a degree to teach. This guy makes way too many mistakes. I sat in the front and ended up correcting his every mistake. He is so disorganized it is actually quite funny. However, his mistakes made me pay attention more and I passed.
he's so not a good teacher.he likes to cramp a bunch of material in the last minute of class. He also doesn't like to discuss problems during class, he always tells u to set up an appointment if you have any questions.don't recommend him unless u're great at math
THIS TEACHER SUCKS. HE MAKES TOO MANY MISTAKES FOR A COLLEGE PROFESSOR IT SEEMS LIKE HE'S LEARNING THE MATERIAL WHILE HE IS TEACHER. ALSO IS VERY UNORGANIZED
I don't know what the other raters were talking about, I think Geraci is a great teacher. I've failed almost every math class I've ever taken at BCC and I got a B with no effort at all. He let us use notes on one of the tests and even has you watch a video and write 2 pgs. to boast your grade.
maybe your right and he is good at lower level math courses but at higher level he has no idead what he is talking about probably in our class he made over 500 mistakes on the board take him if your great at math if not
be ready to teach yourself EVERYTHING, going to class is useless....
This teacher is very nice. Just do your homework and he will go over what you don't understand. He gives partial credit on the tests, which is nice because you can get the answer wrong but still get credit...take him!
PLEASEEEE...... this teacher is one of the worst math teacher to ever received his degree. He does not know what he is teaching. He makes a million mistakes every class. And sometimes even leave the problem undone. He told a student to get their calculator checked out because she proved him wrong and he was upset about that. DON"T TAKE HIM.. :-(
He makes mistakes like there is no tomorrow. VERY BAD, bad doesn't even cut it. Worst teacher to ever take math with. This teacher is a little tapped out...he left a problem in our class undone after he was still trying to figure it out for 15-20 mins.. patethic right... and then told the students to go figure it out when we get home. He Sucks..

He was a really nice teacher. He let us drop our lowest test score. We had three tests and a final, I got a 75, 104, and a 91. Since he drops the lowest grade all I needed on the final was a 75 or higher to get an A. He is really nice, and will help you if you need it. Just go to class, take notes and study and you do fine.
One of the better math teachers I've had. He explains concepts very well and even goes over homework problems that you don't understand. His tests are very fair -- do your homework, take notes and you'll be fine.
ok, all honesty the guy isnt the most organized person in the world. but if u are havin trouble hes always available. As long as u show him that ur interested and do the HW & if u dont get something go see him at his office... u'll do good.. i took stats once before and i had to withdraw, but i took him over the summer and i ended up getting an A.
A little out there but a good teacher. He does all the work on the board and explains it step by step. Will spend as much time as needed to explain problems.
no abilituy at all goes way too fast no one understands
He goes really fast but he explains the material good. He is always available for extra help. His tests are not too hard if you do your homework. Goes over all homework in class.
The man is crazy! He doesnt explain very well because he goes off the subject trying to proof theorems. Just do your homework and pay attention in class. His test are fairly easy and his very very nice. His final is multiple choice and he will go over homework problems. Very recommendable.
A little assuming and demanding, but he does explain very clearly. A little fast, and I can understand why he derives his theroms, but not all of them are needed, which he even admits himself. Be sure to memorize what he tells you to memorize, or else he gets a little...testy. Overall I recommend him though.
He knows his stuff and is very qualified for his class. if u need someone to walk you through a class i wouldnt recommend him. i am good in math so i thought his class was easy but i knew alot of people who had a hard time understanding him. Very nice person and if have any questions he is more then happy to help anyone out.
He makes alot of mistakes. I'm typicaly really good at math, but his class was like french. I dreaded it everyday. He's a good teacher to take if you are a genius - or if you can teach yourself.
The professor is not good. My class star this semester with 45 people and finish with less than 20 people. Get a good grade with these professor It is IMPOSSIBLE. He doesnt explain, he always send people to the lab and does it.
this is an okay professor, there is only a problem, he can get easily confused with a certain problem and make people doubt about the way it is supposed to be done. But if you already know the material it should be an easy class for his tests are not very hard and your allowed to use a calculator
Good teacher
this teacher is not good, hes goes way too fast and isnt very helpful. he also says the only way to do a problem is his way and thats it. i dont recommend him unless you're good at teaching yourself
He makes alot of mistakes, and confuses the hell out of you, If you don't know the work already be prepared to teach yourself.
I think this professor is great! I had him for both precalc and have him for calculus. I got an A in precalc. He explains good and if you ask him for help, he will help you. His tests are right from the homework. If you dont pass the class, then you probably didnt do all the homework.
If I had to do it all over again, I WOULD NOT take his class!!!! He confuses hisself, which confuses all of us!!! He doesn't believe in using the calculator, so he doesn't teach how a problem can be done on a calculator!! Plus his test are VERY hard!!! And I'm a Mathematics major!! The worst math class I have ever had!!!
He is a GREAT teacher. i took him for college algebra and got an A and now i am taking him for pre calc/trig. He is really helpful and answers a lot of questions. AWESOME professor. Take him if you have a chance!
He's awesome
I would advise anyone that plans on passing math not to take him. I am currently taking him and if it were not for the math Lab I would be in big trouble. He is very short tempered, very confusing, and teaches like he is just learning the material. Not clear at all..DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!!!
The professor goes really fast but it was a summer term and he was rushed to cover all of the material. He explains the material well and will spend alot of time answering homework questions or helping you during office hours. The tests were difficult. If you dont like going to class, take him because he doesnt take attendance.
He is an ok professor. I felt that he was about unfair with grading and a bit biased. He gives alot of homework that isn't graded but for ur benefit. I suggest u do most of the problems. Some questions on the exam will be from HW. He teaches very fast so if u aren't that good in math take at a slower pace or consider taking both courses seperately.
He is an okay math professor. He moves very fast. He only does the example problems in the book. He also gets really confused when he lectures. On the plus side, he is very generous when it comes to partial credit, and gives easy tests, most of the problems come from the homework. He's a nice guy as well.
Professor Geraci is one of the best teachers I ever had. He really knows the material well and explains where the formulas come from, but does not put that on the test. The tests are fairly easy and come straight from the homework. He also make sure everyone understands the material and if not will make himself available during office hours.
he is nice and super helpful, but it was likk he was talking to me in another language. i kind of understood everything in the class but the tests were more difficult then the hw. i recommend him if you're very advanced in math, if you're kind of slow DO NOT TAKE HIM, it lowered my GPA.
im currently taking him for MAC1140 and he is soooooo confusing. he gives you a whole explanation that seems to make sense and then tells you that you dont need to know that material. i tried labs, tutors, friends, everyone helped me, but when the tests came they were totally different. i had a 4.0 and the tests screwed me up. DO NOT TAKE HIM plz!!
He's okay. Very nice and helpful. I took this class during the summer, so we moved VERY fast and it was sometimes hard to keep up. You MUST read the book, study hard, and go to either his office hours or math lab if you want an A in the class. He is fair, but it's no easy A.
Dont take this guy. Every time i would ask a question he would make me feel stupid. He is no help. His teachimg skills are fair so if you are not a genius at stats dont take him!!!!
Mr. Geraci is so confusing. He is all over the place. While giving you an explanation of something he starts talking about another thing. I do not reccomend him. I dropped his class he really is not a good teacher
he really is all over the place, in my opinion very confusing. he sometimes confuses himself. i would not recommend him for a statistic teacher. he is nice any willing to help but overall the class is hard.
Mr. Geraci was a good teacher. He followed the textbook and explained pretty good. He was extremely helpful at his office. I would recommend him!
He's a great teacher. Always willing to help you outside of class. Day before the test he goes over example problems that will be just like the test. On top of it, he doesn't give you a hard time if you don't come to class. But it is recommended.
He is a good professor. Attendance is not mandatory and he does not collect homework. I recommend you go to class and do your homewework if you want to get a good grade. I recommend him.
this is a 2nd time i'm taking his guy...college algebra then calcu III. He is average professor. he kind of go over fast but his exam is fairly practical. however, you might going to have a hard time understanding him sometimes. he knows so much about math but his teaching skill need to improve a bit. he is cool guy n' very easy going.
took him for trig. explains everything clearly. before the test gives you review questions which is just like the test. doesn't care if you come to class and will help you anytime he's not in class even the morning of the test before class. highly recommended.
i definitely recomend this professor!
he was the worst math techer i have ever had. he gives people dirty looks when they dont know somthing. you dont have to show up to the class everyday but you should i never skiped a class and i was still lost most of the time. you grade is made up of 4 test and the final. the test are hard but he give you points if do it kind of right
Dr. Geraci is a really good instructor. He explains all of the material in detail..I would have never understoon the book alone. He also makes sure to answer all homework questions. His test are fair.
He's the best teacher ever!!! And he's really hot! :0) Take him!!
I wouldn't take him if you did poorly in calc 1, but if you have a good background in math you should be able to follow along. Sometimes he seems to lose focus and can't verbally explain what he's doing, but that's where you have to be able to follow along. His tests are fair and considering the difficulty of the class I think he's a good teacher.
Dr. Geraci is a very good teacher. He teaches the material well and gives you eveything you need to know for the tests. He does however hold you accountable for the information that he teaches and some of the tests were challenging but fair. I wish I could take him again for Calc II.
Geraci is a good teacher. He teaches kinda fast, but its a summer course so he needs to. There are alot of homework assigned so you need to spend alot of time to pass. but he explains all the problems and makes the homework easy. his tests are just like the homework..so if you do your homework you should do well.
I hated this class!! He taught way to fast and his handwriting sucked! I failed along with several other people. One of his tests only had 8 questions. I dont recommend him . Not easy.
Great Professor. Learned alot. Highly reccomend!
Awesome Calculus Professor! He teaches the material very very clearly and holds you accountable on the tests. if you study and really learn the math you should get an A no problem. Slacking and cramming will land you a C. Best math professor I have taken yet. Highly recommended for anyone who needs calculus.
Typical Italian studder/hand-flailing. Good teacher, tests are EXTREMELY strait forward. If you know the material your good. Will go over anything and everything. Do the homework.
Pretty straight forward. Do your homework, study no problems.
HE is the BEST math teacher ever! I got an A in the class.
ok i signed up for this teacher this summer because all the comments on here said he was good. after the third week i either didnt show up or when i did show up i listened to my ipod the whole time because listening to him would just confuse me. he always messes up on every problem and doesnt seem like he knows what he is doing. its annoying.
Took him for summer 2010. Gave extra credit, didn't worry about attendance and last test only delt with the last Ch and not the entire course. If you are wanting to learn and willing to do the homework then he is a great prof. He teaches well (minus the first day which had everyone confused) I passed and I SUUUUUCK at math :)
Good teacher. Tests are fair. Very helpful. I recommend.
Professor is a great teacher. Class and tests are difficult but you will do well if you study. He is always available for extra help.
NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!!
He was the absolute worse. He was very sloppy and unclear; at times he was even lost. RUN!
Good professor. Wants students to pass. Helpful. Even curved!
Pro. Geraci is an inept teacher. Case in point: each day he comes to teach class, he always mess up in his lectures and says there is something fishy about this problem, extra credit. As I went to his office for some assistance, he confused me even more or preparing an exam before class. If he prepares lectures, he may have potential to instruct.
hard teacher
The class was easy, but the way he taught it was not. He keeps changing his mind when he talks, and is mostly unclear. If you do the homework you'll most likely pass, but the tests are very short and not always what the homeworks like
Dr. Geraci is very helpful. If you need extra help, he will always help you. His tests are like the homework and he does not take attendance. I recommend him!!
Dr. Geraci is a great instructor. He makes sure that he covers everything and everybody understand before moving on. He spends a lot of time in class going over the homework and answering students questions. His tests were fair, but his final exam was very hard. He is a really nice person and spends time with you during office hours if needed.
Prof. Geraci means well but does the opposite. In his lectures he double guesses himself and spends a great deal of time trying to figure out what he did wrong. The worst tho, is that he makes his tests exceptionally harder than any problem seen in class or HW. I had to put a ridiculous amount of effort in order to earn a borderline B.
Great teacher. He explains everything very good and makes sure you understand before moving forward. I never understood math before Dr. Geraci. He lets you ask questions every class about the homework. He goes a little fast, but this is a summer terms
Professor Geraci is a very helpful professor. His class was 10 weeks and fast pace. Because of this we did a section per day. As long as you do the homework and answer questions you will succeed. He is also very helpful with answering questions and makes it easy for you to get an A or pass his class. But you also have to put in the work.
he is a great professor.knows his stuff.some people find that he is going very fast with the problems.but i felt that i was ok with it.as long as we do our homework we will do good.he is the BEST at maths.
Worst teacher i ever had simple as that. He intimidates people to not ask questions. He tells people they did not do their homework if you have a question.HE also makes tests really hard. I really dont recommned this professor .
In this class your grade is based on only tests. They are not multiple choice tests and they usually only consist of 8-15 questions. He does drop the lowest test grade and he does teach the lessons but you need to read the book also. If you are good at tests then this teacher is for you, if not then I suggest looking for a different teacher.
Very Good Profeesor knows his stuff very easy to get along with Will help student if student asks for help Very knowledgeable I have learned a lot from this professor He likes involving his class He wants you to be involved If you come every day and try the Professor will help you Overall a good proffesor and an asset to broward college
This "Professor" is all over the place!! He is never prepared and does not listen to students questions, He is very rude, even just today asked him a question to go over an older test and he snapped at me!! "See me during my office hours"!!Which suck by the way!! Does not give you a review just expects you to study everything !! Do not take him!!!!
VERRRRRRRRRRY CONFUSING. MAKES EASY STUFF HARDER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE >>>OVERALL GOOD GUY++++WILL HELP DURING OFFICE HOURS~~~~~YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN TYPE CLASS.
HE IS NOT EASY HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN THINGS HE RAMBLES HE IS JUST BAD DNT TAKE HIM IF UR BAD AT MATH TRUST ME ONLY LIKE ONE PERSON DID WELL IN HIS CLASS WHEN I TOOK HIM HE IS LATE AND ATTENDANCE ISNT MADATORY
Great teacher. Explains well. Tests are fair. Don't be late and ask questions he already went over. Use office hours.
Good teacher. Explains well.
Dr. Geraci is an okay professor. If you're bad at math, don't take his class, because you'll be more confused. He's not organized, rambles, randomly snaps, late and doesn't explain well. 4 tests and the final. He assigns optional homework from the textbook and goes over it the next class. He reviews for ALL the tests and gives partial credit.
This professor was not a very good one. I wish I did a little research before selecting his class. The reason I did well was because since he was teaching the exact material from the textbook. I read the textbook on my own and rarely paid attention in class
This professor is really good at explaining things. This is my second time taking the class and I wish I had him the first time becuase he explains everything. If you do your homework and come to class, you should pass his tests.
The way he teaches is very confusing to people who are not familiar with the math subjects he talks about. He tries for the most part but sadly is still hard to understand. Basically try to avoid this teacher but if you have him just work extra hard!
Good Teacher. Will help you in his office as long as you have good attendance and are not late for class. He sat with me for hours. Definitely not an easy A. just study hard.
He was a really nice teacher. During a lesson, he teaches very fast, so you really have to pay attention. Homework isn't mandatory, but it's your tool for studying. On nights before tests, I would redo my homework and I would pass the test. He does 4 tests and a Final. It's important to attend class so you don't miss a lesson. I got an A doing so.
This professor is very good at math but just terrible at explaining it! So basically only take this professor if you know for sure you are really good at College Algebra.
Okay class. Studying on your own is needed for your success. Explanations in class may be rushed.
Worst math teacher I have ever had. Heard to understand what he is saying and goes through lectures fast. If you ask him a question, his answer will confuse you even more. DON'T TAKE HIM!
Gets almost every problem wrong when explaining. Tests are never clear questions are either writen wrong or have wrong answer choices. Cannot teach AT ALL! Teaches in a gibberish manner if and has slick comments when you ask questions. If you don't want a extra headache don't take this guy cause your in for one!
Professor Geraci is a good teacher, but he will make you work for your grade. If you don't do homework or miss class, you will fail. He has no tolerance for students who are absent and then ask questions. He worked with me in his office and motivated me. Definitely not an easy A.
Wow, wow, wow... The first day of class, he was spastic reviewing MAT1033 material and rambling. Although the homework wasn't mandatory, this guy's teaching style is all over the place. Incomprehensible lecture- he was getting problems wrong on the first day! Seems nice but I need step by step methods and a calm attitude.
This is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. His explanations are very clear and complete. He explains everything !! He spends time each day making sure everyodys homework questions are answered. I highly recommend taking him.
Geraci was the first math professor that ever helped me understand math. His lectures are a bit deep, but if you read the text before coming to class, you will understand them better. I wasn't sure at first, but after sitting through some classes and having taken his tests, he is really good at what he does.
The FIRST thing about his style, is that he designs his class such that the tests are JUST AS Hard, if not, Harder than the HW. BUT, he CURVES for each test AND the overall grade. So you think you're failing, but u'll actually have a B haha. Next, MANY opportunities for Extra Credit. Lectures are chaotic and ALL OVER the place tho, can't understand
Dr. Geraci is am excellent instructor. I read the text before lectures and he taught straight from the text ( except for some additional Supplements). seemed to be a hard class to teach because there were a lot of science majors and a lot of education majors in the class, making it hard for him to make the class appropriate for all levels. I got a
His lectures were never clear. He is all over the place. I was lost the entire semester. There were 4 Test and I barley passed two and ended up with a B. He mentioned that he may or may not curve, but he did thankfully! I think he only says that so students won't give up. He will work with you if you have any questions though.
Not the best lectures but this guy has heart and cares about students. You don't have to be perfect on his exams, just write out all your thoughts. If you Just write relevant equations and show you care, then you are bound to pass the exams. He CURVES and gives PARTIAL Credit. He designs his exams to be really difficult, but compensates by lineancy
Can be an easy A class if you do all the homeworks before class and redo some tricky problems from each section before exams. His exams are very straight forward, no tricky or hard questions, with extra credits and curves. The only way to fail this class is study last minute. If you are at this level of game, please get some study done each week.
Class is very easy and so are the very limited tests but just be prepared to do most of the studying yourself really you rarely need to attend class if you are that kind of student. His teaching style is all over the place as many people have noticed, But does curve everything so that's a plus....
I feel Professor Geraci is the best math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are really deep and he derives every single formula to help you understand where the formulas come from. However, on the tests he only makes you use the formulas. He also allowed an index card for most formulas. He helped me a lot in his office hours.
Challenges students with difficult tests and fair lengths of homework, but rewards them for their efforts. Great instructor, and offers his help when needed. By no means is his Calculus class a free ride, but it feels VERY rewarding in the end. Would take again.
Great Teacher. Great lectures if you come to class!
Professor Geraci is a great a teacher. He's very lenient when it comes to grading his test. MAKE sure you read the material before the class starts or you'll most likely get loss in between sections during his lecture. His test aren't too hard if you do the homework and do the review before the test. Other than that, he's a good teacher overall.
Great professor, really cares about his students understanding the concepts behind the formulas instead of just forcing memorization! 10/10 would take again
Was a good professor. He helped me and many other students understand. The counting and the probability was the hardest but he made it fun after explaining it to us. He helped me and some other students all the time in his office. He is not an easy A but he makes you work for your grade.
He is very hands on, he will help you if you ask for help and will break down problems until you guarantee you understand, I loved taking him for this class (It was a blended class) Mat0057. I highly recommend this class. Do all your Aleks work and you will pass no problem!
AMAZING TEACHER! Our grades were just 4 tests and a final and he dropped our lowest test grade and curves as well. He provides tons of examples and answers our questions completely, both in and outside class. He assigns homework but it is optional. The tests are very basic, way easier than the homework. His lectures are very informative.
Dr. Geraci is a really kind professor, he gives a lot of optional homework that I personally found necessary to successfully pass every test, the class itself is definitely not an easy a but he is willing to push your grade a little bit if necessary.
Assigns a lot of homework, not graded though. Will review anything and everything you ask for. Passionate, but a bit too much. He'll spend 20 minutes going over a problem because he REALLY wants to solve this problem. Expects you to memorize EVERYTHING. Every formula, trig identity . . . Gives a lot, expects a bit too much. Late every day.
He is probably one of the most passionate professors I have had. Grades were determined by 5 tests and he drops the lowest test. The only negatives about him were he was almost always late to class and occasionally wanted to teach concepts that were too advanced MAC2312. However, he is a very open teacher and will answer any homework question.
Extremely tough grader and does not teach clearly at all. He often makes a lot of mistakes on the board and has you leaving more confused than when you walked in. For final review he said study past EXAMS and you will be fine HUGE LIE!!
I was really scared of Calculus when I registered for it. But, Dr. Geraci made it really interesting. I actually am great at Calculus now. I am getting an A only because he helps us understand everything and even will help you outside of class. I am going to take Calc. II with him. Recommend him!!!
Prof. Geraci rarely explained lessons clearly & often confused himself; I had to teach myself. He hadn't taught the course in 3 & 1/2 years, would often show up 5-6 minutes late & hold the class 5-6 minutes after it ended (then get upset as people left). Our grade rested on 3 tests & a final (he gave no review for anything). I would not recommend.
Great professor. Actually makes it understandable. Would take agaian recommend.
If youre bad at math, do not take this professor. He does not take attendance, he does not grade homework, he was always 6-10 minutes late to class. He would get half way through a lecture and realize he was wrong and erase the whole board. Our grade was based off of 3 test and a final, the lowest test grade gets dropped. Run while you can!
This guy is flipping amazing. I thought that I was failing his class and at the end of the semester I end up with an A! Only has 4 tests and a final + he drops one of the tests at the end of the semester. It might not seem like it but he does care for his students. Homework is optional but I advise that you do it if you want to pass w/ a high grade
Had him for Calc I, I'm in his Calc II currently, and he's just like i remembered him; he does homework problems in class, but chances are you should do them at home to get used to them. His tests are similar to the chapter reviews, so make sure you do them. His lectures are great, and he'll do his best to help you however he can. Great guy.
Great professor. Goes over everything. Tests are straight forward and he drops one grade. Recommend.
Hes a really good professor and you can notice that he actually cares about his students.
Had him for developmental math. Hes very understanding and will help you out if you dont understand. Finally getting to pass this math to get back on track. I appreciate him a lot. As long as you do youre work youre good.
If you like a fast paste professor this is your class to take. I took his class and he explains very fast, he often does mistakes on some math problems, does not answer your question, and he does not come prepared to class. This is a math class if you are very fast paste.
Dont go into this if you will skip a lot, your grade is based on 5 test, though one Is dropped. Their is A LOT of material to be covered and its fast. He gives partial credit which is good, and his teaching is good. The final is multiple choice and he doe curve a bit on the tests. Highly recommend doing all your homework and the chapter review.
This professor is great. I don't like math but he really made it easy to understand. Grade only based on tests and he drop the lowest. He help me in the office too when I need it. Final exam was hard, but he review everything. I am take him again if I can!
Hes a great teacher that really cares about his students. He drops the lowest of your 3 test grades and the final weighs less than the two other tests. He doesnt take attendance but I wouldnt recommend missing any classes. This was the only math class ive ever passed in college without having to retake the class.
Awsome professor. Never understood it the first time. His lectures are amazing. Dont miss class. You can tell he loves what he does. Dont take pictures of the board, he will go off on you.
I dont recommend him if you struggle with math usually. He lectures extremely fast&has terrible handwriting. The notes he writes on the board are extremely unorganized&hard to follow. You end up teaching yourself the entire lessons after each class. He also hates any sort of technology, keep phonestops out of his class. 1st class I had to drop
The worse Professor EVER!!!! NEVER TAKE HIM iF YOU WNAT TO PASS A MATH CLASS. He doesn't explain the teaching and he starts to write very fast and you don't even know what he is doing and at the end of the class you still don't get nothing of all the section.
Geraci is a good teacher. He will help you if you go to him for extra help. You can tell he really cares about his students. He really knows his stuff. Don't skip class or you will not do well.
If you're reading this DO NOT TAKE HIM. Do not believe the good reviews. Talks WAY too fast, messy handwriting, messes up A LOT, and rude. When writing notes, he explains something and then says "You DON'T want to do it this way". Like what? I basically had to teach myself everything. 4 tests and a cumulative final. Drops your lowest test grade.
Do yourself a favor and DON'T TAKE HIM. I had to DROP from his class because he was a horrible teacher. Super messy handwriting, rude, and messes up on problems all the time. There are only 4 tests and drops the lowest grade and a final. Don't take his class. I had to retake the class with a new teacher and she was phenomenal and I got an A.
I would definitely recommend this professor if you really want to learn. Je is not easy, but explains everything well and has the best lectures of any math professor I have taken. When we went remote ( due to virus), his lectures were the same quality. I even tried watching the videos in web assign but his lectures were much better!
Professor Geraci is a great professor for this course. He cares about students who pay attention to class and show some interest. He always assign homework for each section, and I would highly recommend that you do it because it is the key of succeeding. Work hard because it isn't an easy course, but professor Geraci wil help as much he can.
Professor Geraci is a great professor that will help students who pay attention and show some interest. This course is not easy, so you must do the homework he assigns in every section to have a better understanding. He is very passionate and a fair grader. Pay attention and homework are the key of success this challenging course.

Professor Geraci is very fair. His lectures are good and the tests are easy. As long as you show up to class, pay attention and do practice problems from the homework, you will pass.
He lectures quite fast in class, but if you ask him to redo or re-explain a topic/question he will do it without hesitation. The tests were very fair, and the homework wasn't mandatory, but I recommend doing it. We had 4 tests (he dropped the lowest grade) and a final. The final was significantly more difficult compared to the tests, but I passed.
terrible lecture notes, barely covers the concepts that are given for tests and homework. If you're going to take his class be prepared to teach yourself the majority of the material.
I took him for Discrete math. Your grade is dependent on 4 tests: 3 main and a final and he drops one of the 3 non-main. It's not an easy subject so you should put in a lot of study time. He speaks a little quickly but tells you what you need to know. Do your homework and study and you'll do well.
I took this class online. He did such a good job that it was like being in class. We had whiteboard lectures that really helped me understand the material. He explains everything and makes sure that we understand all of the concepts before the test. I also had him for Calculus I. Take him. You will not regret it!
I would advise not to take his class. Lectures were intense, heavy, and very fast. Not very good at explaining work and thinks sporadically. Not very organized as well. Never cheated on any exams in my life and had all As. He accused me of cheating and gave me a D, he did not understand the fact I had ADD either. Horrible, do not take him, BEWARE!
Great teacher. E planned the material well and reviewed before the test. Learned a lot.
Professor Geraci's lectures were heavy and difficult to understand for an already difficult subject. His only redeeming qualities were his somewhat lenient grading for his exams (4 exams, 1 final, lowest exam grade dropped except for final). He grades on the work shown, so the more work you show, the more points you can get for each question.
Calc is a difficult class but I thought it went by smooth. Make sure to attend all lectures and try to keep up on the hw. There are 4 grades: 3 exams and 1 hw grade. Tests fairly easy if you know concept well.
Professor is great. Never understood math til Geraci. He grades fairly and drops lowest score. Take him if you want to learn calculus.
Great professor. Would take again. Take him if you want to learn math. Fair tests and drops lowest.
Writing is super small so sit close to the front if your eyes are bad also not very organized when it comes to lectures and will just go on a tangent and its hard to catch back on if you get distracted for a little bit so you have to stay focused.
Amazing professor! He basically begs to give away any help you need. 5 tests (including the final) and drops the lowest grade. Gives very liberal partial credit. Fast-paced class, but it's Calculus 1, and it's supposed to be complicated. He encourages student participation. Your grade reflects the effort you put in!
His tests are so hard, he gives a lot of homework and he does not care if you miss a quiz. He does not give extra credit and he is not helpful at all.
If you struggle with math stay away from this teacher. Lectures were heavy and difficult to follow and all hand-written. There was also a lot of homework. The test reviews were general and nothing like the actual test. He does not give you refreshers on topics from previous math classes that factor into calc one. He tells you to go look it up.
He was to the point and transparent about his class. He is the type of professor that treats the class how you treat him. If you attend he will curve your test but if you miss many classes he doesn't care to help you.
This is an online class, so he says he has no say over the grading policy and does not make the tests. It was a difficult class, however, he will see you in his online Zoom anytime you want and as often as you need! Super helpful!
Calc was a difficult class, but he was a pretty good prof for it. I would say he involved trig identities more than other professors might have, and that made his class pretty difficult for me. The exams were okay, though, and the homework helped. I didn't expect him to curve the final grade. He was very friendly and caring.
Im grateful I passed this class. This was my other attempt and I had a 67% and it curved to a C. I will forever be grateful! I would definitely have this teacher again if I could! Mac1105c
I actually know nothing about him. The class was not interactive at all and the software took care of the rest. Informative videos and a good textbook make this class an absolutely self-taught unsupported course. If you are not an intrinsically motivated student, do not take this class.
Great Teacher
Pretty good math proffesor. His class is very test heavy, when I took it the 4 test were the only grades all semester. Homework was optional and wasn't graded.
I took this course online, and math is already a difficult subject for me, but Professor Geraci helped me and encouraged me to try my best on the exams. Very nice teacher and i would take his class again! There is a lot of homework though and labs but that is expected in a college course.
The tests are difficult but way easier than the homework so if you make sure you know the homework you should do really well on the tests. With that being said your grade is all exams. Save all the exams and study them for the finals because the final is exactly like the previous tests. You can come to anything and he will help you with it too.
He is nice and he curved all the grades including the final.
He explains very well
This class can be really difficult if math is not a strong subject for you. The tests are not multiple choice and if you do badly on the tests there is no extra credit. The teacher was very nice and encouraged you to do well on the tests. If you want to do well in this class you have to study a little bit every day.
Calc can be tough, but Professor G is understanding. Tests are the main grades, with the lowest one dropped. Engaging in the lectures and using resources like unstuck ai for practice helps. Definitely worth taking if you put in the effort.
The professor was very rude.
Great professor. I never understood math until now.
Professor Geraci was very attentive and quick to answer any questions I had. If you struggle with math, I recommend taking the class in person to get more direct support. Overall, he's an excellent professor, but be prepared to invest extra time and effort into the course to succeed. Grades were curved, which helped me go from a low B to an A.
Sanford Geraci is a great math professor. He doesn't grade homework so ensure that you focus on the tests including the final (He drops the lowest grade). I got C because I was always sleeping in class and wasn't practicing like I should. He goes through practice examples in class so pay attention. PowerPoint notes are available in D2L also.
SO MANY TEST, & HE USES HONORLOCK! I took the mac1105c which is 5 credits, I expected a heavy workload but this class was insane, he would give you 2 alesk each week plus 2/3 proctored tests monthly and discussions. I had about 5 assignments each week with him! is an online class so all he posted was YouTube videos that weren't his. learned nothing
I would not recommend Professor Geraci if you're not a quick learner or good with math. I did tutoring every week and watched a lot of videos to pass the course. He could be rude to students at times and although accessible for office hours, he "does not reteach lectures" even if there was a sub that was difficult to understand.
pros: curves grades, only four tests, drops lowest cons: no cal1 refreshers, no after class help, tells students to go to booked math tutors, tests may/may not be correlated to optional hw, tests are open ended, two possible hw curriculums, rude response to student questions, prefers response on test to be textbook math syntax
Be ready to study. Fair, but not easy. His explanations are excellent and really help to understand. He is better than my other calc profs!
Excellent class. Teacher explains very good. Makes calculus interesting by showing proof. Really cares and loves math. Recommend him.
Jim Harbaugh, Kevin stefanski, Sanfrod Geraci. What do they all have in common, they can't run worth a damn. Grown man in the big 2025 being a lazy textbook merchant instead of actually teaching. Lemme not get on that final review ??????? U serious buddy !!???????????? U serious ?????? STEVE KERR STEVE KERR. Mr "Damn, lets just go with flow'. u bum
You would think that he got his degree using AI, but he's been teaching longer than most of us have been alive. The amount of mistakes he would make during lectures is baffling and routinely confused everyone. Your only graded on tests (5) and the final. All of the hw is combined into one test grade. He drops your lowest.
Not a good lecturer if you're weak in math (I am). He tended to bounce all over the place and taught us like we knew calculus. In hindsight, I should've reviewed the coursework before the class. I completely guessed my way through his tests and somehow landed with a B. They were all multiple choice and some were curved.
Good if you're going into STEM; very rigorous proofs, applications, conceptuality and interconnectivity. Few tests (most curved), messy lectures, easy to pass if you study on your own. If you can't focus and keep up for 2 hours, you WILL end up learning everything on your own. If this sounds like you, DO NOT TAKE HIM.
