This man is an amazing teacher! If you have never understood math before, TAKE HIM NOW! He is also sweet, understanding, respectful, and funny. His attendance policy is a bit rough and his quizzes do not have enough questions, leaving less room for an A. You can not make ANYTHING up if it is late. It is worth it though.

Very good professor. It doesn't get any better. He makes no suprises. Everything(test & quizzes) are obvious as far as what they will consist of.

He is an awesome teacher who is so nice he makes everyone else seem mean!! He is very explanatory and goes over all topics in class. He also gives good studyguides for tests and quizzes. One thing that is especially neat about him is he learns your name after the first day and always greets you and calls on you by it! He'll never forget it either!

MAC 1105: This professor actually tries to help you - breaks it down nearly to elementary level. But make sure to practice and get help fast if and when you need it. Remember, math builds on itself. His accent is not a problem. Gives short quizzes throughout the course along with the usual testing.

I had him for Precalc and Trig. He was a great teacher and has extra credit on all test which helps out a lot. I am terrible at math and I was able to pull out a B in both courses. His sayings are funny too. Most of the class didn't pick up on them but a few of us did.

THIS PROF ROCKS. HE MADE A 8 WKS COURSE SEEMS LIKE A CAKEWALK. EXPLAINS EVERYTHING VERY CLEAR. I GOT AN A IN THE CLASS BUT I BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE ELSE MADE a B OR HIGHER. AM TAKING HIM FOR TRIG AND PRECAL IN THE FALL AND IF I WERE U, DO THE SAME I PROMISE U WONT REGRET IT.

REALLY enjoyed Algebra for the first time in my life!!! We got rushed in the last week, and we suffered a bit, but I've never "gotten" algebra before this class.

Mr. Chandarana is the best teacher ever! He was my first college professor and it definitely helped. He is extremely easy to understand and explains everything. He tells you exactly what is on the tests and quizzes and helps with any questions you have. He also has a great sense of humor. He's extremely nice and learns everyone's names quickly.

MR. C is the best! This is my second class with him and I would take him for every math class at FCCJ! He is extremely clear with what he expects and I learned a lot in this class. This class isn't a breeze, but it's not because of his teaching skills. It simply requires work. I have greatly enjoyed being one of Mr. C's students.

Prof. C is an amazing teacher! He really enjoys what he is doing, and he wants to help you. If you don't understand something, just ask him about it, and he will help. Got an A in the class. Highly recommended.

Professor C is the best professor I have ever had. This was my third time taking College Algebra and he made it a piece of cake. He explains everything in great detail. He makes sure that you are ready for the quizes and test by giving practice sheets and going over them in class. Awesome teacher.

Even though he gave me a C (GRR) he is a great teacher.

Great teacher. He really cares if you succeed and goes out of his way to help you. You have to show all of your work on quizzes & tests, but he gives partial credit. Gives study guides too.

Mr.C knows his material and will make sure that u get a complete understanding of the entire subject. He's willing to help you before and after class. Words really can't explain how EASY his class is and if u don't pass that's b/c u didn't seek help. Even if this isn't ur favorite subject with Mr.C help u will come to enjoy math, TRUST ME :^)!!!!

very good math teacher. I actually did well. there are 6 quizzes and i think 4 or 5 tests but as long as you study the module you will do good. take him if you struggle with math!

Going into this class I was very excited. Everyone had told me I would make an easy A. However, I only made a B+. There is no homework required, but you should do everything he suggests you to do. He lays out the homework exactly how it is on the tests and quizzes. If you put forth enough work on your part you will succeed.

Professor Chandarana is fabulous!!! very helpful! explains everything sooo clearly.

Professor C is the sweetest most kind man ever! Very smart, a GREAT teacher and willing to help you in whatever way he can. Class is very easy, as long a you attend regularly and study you are guranteed an A!

Professor C is absolutely incredible. I worked hard and got an A in class even without having taken a math class in over 15 years. I strongly recommend him to anyone whether strong or weak in math. He makes me want to be a math teacher. No joke. :)

I recommend taking his 8 week course. It's basically a big easy review of what you learned in high school!! :)

Prof. C is a true definiton of a teacher to me. He is always ready to help you. He informs you on exactly what to study for the tests and quizzes( 4 test, 6 quizzes, and NO FINAL EXAM for the semester.)Attendance is mandatory because if you attend all classes faithfully you receive 20 pts to your grade. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Prof. C.

I also took MAC1140. He's the best math teacher ever! He explains evrythng in detail & will answer all ques clearly. 5 tests (quizzes add up to 1 test grade), no final, EC for attendance. If you don't like math, take him!

I'm really fast at picking up math, so I sometimes daydreamed in his class but to anyone who isn't good with math I HIGHLY recommend Prof. Chandarana. He has some corny jokes, but you can't help but laugh at them. Also, he was taught by "the british system". Whatever that means. Haha!

Professor Chandarana is an excellent math teacher! He teaches material nonstop throughout his class periods, while thoroughly explaining everything in detail. I've taken every math with him thus far, and through the course of his class, I've went from being an "okay student" to scoring 100+ on tests and receiving a mathematics award from FSCJ. A+!

Could never had made it through the math classes without him. The BEST Math Teacher ever.

Professor C. is a very good teacher. He is very intelligent and obviously experienced. Whether you are good at math or not, take him! As long as you put your mind to it, I promise that you will not fail with Professor Chadarana.

No homework that needs to be turned in, he answers your questions, and prints out notes so you dont have to buy a textbook. it moves sort of fast so attendace is a must. Overall a pretty easy prof.

Prof. C was great. I am horrible at math and was worried I wouldn't pass but Prof. C makes everything really easy to understand and doesn't talk down to you if you don't get it. He goes over everything on the test which is only 20 or so questions but before each test you have quizzes that are only 4 questions and are almost identical to tests.

I think I love him. No seriously, he obviously knows how to teach. Don't miss a class, he goes over new concepts each time. The tests are really simply and he lets you know what will be on them. Take him.. Do itttt

By far one of the best math teachers of all time. The work was easy, never overwhelming. Really great professor. I would recommend the professor to those who are not good with math. Please take him; you will not be dissatisfied.

Chandarana was a very good professor. I was semi-good at math before his class and now I'm very good. I took the hybrid version of the class and that part was a little difficult, but he was available for help in his office. He explains clearly and sometimes makes it funny. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn math!

professor was good a breaking down the subject but the tests were difficult your quiz grades average out to a test grade and attendance is mandatory docks 3% for each absence after 2

This professor is VERY helpful. You can ask for help anytime and he will be there to help. The only thing about the class is it is based solely on quizzes and tests, but overall he is a great professor. I recommend him to anyone, especially if you are good at math tests.

online trig course great! no waste of time discussion boards.just math. right amount of homework to learn material. quiz/ test fair. very flexible, accomodating Instructor.

I took this class online. The professor was helpful. He didn't have to grade anything. It is all done by computer. This class was definitely a big challenge! I love math, especially algebra. I can't really say that I enjoy trig all that much. But videos are helpful for examples. I'd probably take this class in person if you struggle at all in math!

I loved the setup of this online class. No proctored tests! The syllabus is very clear and the course is based on 7 timed quizzes and the HW (20%). It's not easy but Prof C is always available if needed. The deadline for assignments is on Tuesday, so it gives you the weekend to sort it out.

Awesome guy! He is really helpful and fun to listen to. Has a little accent but easy to understand. He shows you everything that is on the test and has no surprises.

Professor Chandarana's class is great. He explains everything in detail and will give extra examples to those who need them. He's willing to stay after class to help with homework problems and will go over problems step by step until you get it right. He gives you homework packet instead of buying a book and tells you what's going to be on the test

Professor Chandarana was an outstanding professor. Im a 20 year old guy who is absolutely horrible at math. I took mac1105 first in the fall of 2012 and failed it, but once I took sanjays class things turned around for me. I have no complaints what so ever besides the fact he gave me and 89 -__- but hey, ill take that anyday instead of that F!!

Great teacher, very enthusiastic and knows what he's talking about, teaches everything clearly.

Very helpful and corrects grades if wrong. Quick to reply to emails. It is hard to teach yourself math but I still pulled out a B and I got a D on two tests. He is always there to help and explains things clear and detailed.

Professor Chandarana is a very caring teacher always willing to help. Quiz every class but you can you your notes plus he works the quiz problems out on the board prior to taking the quiz, just changes the numbers on the actual quiz! Keep up with your online work if you take a hybrid and you will do great!

Responds to email promptly. This course was an online course that uses MyMathLab which is great if you are strong in math. If not, you may want to take this as a classroom course. The instructor was very clear on expectations from the first day which was great.

This class required work and study but if you follow the examples on MyMathLab and write down the process you should be able to pass this class. What is required is homework and tests and the professor responds to e-mails within a day. I had take this class at USF in class and it was very difficult. The amount of work was exceeding and difficult.

Prof Chandarana is great. I took his hybrid college algebra class and homework activities were all online and cake. We showed up to class once per week to take a quiz and he reviewed each question and how to solve them in the minutes prior to the quiz. A couple practice tests prior to each of four tests. Great class if you've already mastered Algeb

This was an online class, so the professors involvement was minimal; however, he definitely sent reminders of upcoming deadlines. He was also constantly reminding you that he is there for help if necessary. I found the class to be easy. Read the material, do the homework, take the tests. 7 tests, covers 8 chapters, use Mymathlab. U can work ahead!

I took the Hybrid class. We met once a week. We had a quiz every Wednesday, and he goes over what will be on the quiz before we actually take it. All the tests and homework are on MyMathLab. He Will definitely help if you need it!! Overall the class was pretty easy, although the material did get a bit difficult towards the end. I recommend him!

Professor Chandarana was so helpful even though it was an online class. He responded quickly to emails and shows care and concern for his students. There is a lot of homework, but if he can help you he definitely will.

I go to a state college and decided to take this course with Professor C. over the summer in order to get a good grade in the class. Best decision ever. Every week there is one 5 question quiz. There are seven tests and all of them are online and you can use notes. He always reset my exam if my computer "crashed." I'd highly recommend this teacher!

I am not good in math at all and still made it through this class. Don't waste money on the book. All work is done in MyMathLab. Doesn't give busy work like discussions. Very straight forward, do the work and take notes for test. 5 test all online and 23 homework assignments.

He was an easy "A". He went over quizzes before and helped you be prepares. He was very good at preparing you. I didn't read the textbook and still got an "A".

Loved the teacher and was very clear, I just got behind because I didn't do my homework. Took the 8 week course and it wasnt fun doing everything online. I wouldve enjoyed this class a lot more if I took the 16 weeks, but this teacher was overall great, caring, and understanding. Would take again if I could.

I took college algebra online and it was TOUGH! As long as you do the work, and take the practice tests, you will do well. Put the work in and you will get a good grade!

I took Prof Chandarana summer Trig Hybrid class so I was only in class for quizzes he was prompt in helping me with any problems I had he's clear on how to do problems. for the hybrid class you have to read your textbook for some of the more advanced concepts but overall he was a good teacher.

In this class I received a 90 The 5 tests are 80% of your grade The 24 homework assignments are 20% of your grade My TEST average was an 88 and HW a 97, in which i received a 90.06 (a slim margin) The professor is not the problem he responds rapidly for this online class, however the 49 hours I put into homework was the tough part. Easy B Hard A

Even though I had to drop this class due to work schedule requirements, Professor Chandarana was always there with a kind word and excellent advice on how to solve calculus problems without stressing. He is a very compassionate instructor I will gladly take again (and will) and would highly recommend him to anyone. Colleges need people like him!
