Sanjay is actually a very understandable and approachable professor. Be prepared to learn but also to work as tests are straightforward, however, they will challenge you. There are no surprises and the class can be at times very entertaining.

He's probably the best Bio professor at Mt.Sac. He goes in depth, and is very approachable. If you're thinking about taking Bio you should take Sanjay. He's so cool he lets you call him by his first name. Keep in mind this guy is a freakin' Doctor.

Professor Sanjay was really cool with everyone that would talk to him. The labs were fun and laid back but the tests are hard. Don't even bother buying the book because you don't use it. Just take goods notes from the lecture and study hard. Good luck!!!

Sunjay is very relaxed. He goes over topics well in class and asks if everyone understands. He gives a study guide to help with tests and goes over the guide to make sure you understand. You still have to come to class, take notes, and study for tests if you want a good grade. He is a very nice teacher. Highly recommend you take his class.

he is one nice guy that is kicked back and fun. all you gotta do is just copy down everything he writes on the board. Even though he writes very teeny tiny, try to make out the words or just ask cuz your gonna need it for the tests. his tests are easy cuz he gives you a study guide WITH all the answers. lab quizzes are kinda hard.

compared with other science teachers, he's very easy for me, 'cause i barely show up in class but still got an A by studying the study sheets he passes out before tests. but make sure u study the lab 'cause it's freaking hard! very helpful and doesn't care much about attendence, a chill guy!

Professor Jayachandran was quite simply a ok teacher. Not hard at all, but I honestly didn't feel like I learned all too much. He also needs to take command of the class more, the students kinda ran all over him out there. Do your work though and you will complete the class, all his tests were mutliple choice and gave out reviews before tests.

He is a outstanding bio professor for bio 1. And he never catch the people who cheat in class. These asians never attend class, and cheat in exams. So, they get As easily.They ever tried to steal the quiz on 11/27/06 night bio 1 lab when the professor was not in the room. They never speak English,never do the lab,just steal others' work to turn in.

He's very nice, and make the topic clear and the class funny. And he has a very good memory so show up in classes. He knows who cheat and who not, but he's just too nice not to catch them

Uncle Sanjay is Legit! He is Extremely helpful if you ask for it. Plus he gives you most of the answers for the Study Guild. All you need to do is know your study guild and pay decent attention during lecture. Make sure to do ALL your work, including Labs because if you don't it will hurt your overall grade. other then that he is a really fun Guy.

Funny, clear, understanding, patient and useful!!! Mr.J is an amazing professor who TRULY cares about EACH student in his class. Gets to know you better in lab. Lab quizzes are not that hard. Exams are based on lecture and notes. It is not a difficult class because he makes the material so EASY to understand! He is how every teacher wish they were!

My advice to succeed is attendance. That is a foundation for success in this class. Dr. Sunjay is clear and concise on what he wants you to know before the test. I attended every class, lab and lecture, and when the study guides are handed out, you have all the answers in your notes. Very good teacher.

Not an easy class but as long as you put a lot of effort into studying your notes, then you'll be fine. Take GOOD notes. Tests are based on the lecture. Do not recommend buying the book because everything in the exams are from his lectures. Very chill lab but sometimes too chill. Provides study guide which is incredibly helpful. I def recommend.

He's okay. It's a pretty hard class, especially if you're not one for science. It's a very very detailed class for just biology 1...but I guess you'll just have to work harder. He's friendly, and relaxed, but it's a pretty tedious class. Don't buy the book, because it did little help. Everything he says in the lectures is what you'll need.

I had professor J a few years ago and still remember his class and how much I enjoyed it! He is a great professor and overall a great person. He is good at teaching and cares for all his students.

Professor Sanjay is straight forward. Attendance is mandatory. You could get by without the book by listening to his lecture. However, I found a couple of things I did not like. His handwriting is hard to read, he speaks softly, and doesn't interact with students during the lab, and adds in additional info about his bio company.

Absolutely great professor! If you have the opportunity to take his course, you should! Very personable, easy to talk to (via facebook, in-class, etc.). If you study the material you will do well in class. Attend every lecture! exams are on lecture not from the text. Only down side was that I bought the textbook but didnt touch it once.

Best biology teacher ever. I have never passed biology until now and I took the class twice in the past and failed them. He explains everything very well and if you have any questions, he is approachable. You can even contact him via Facebook, which makes it very easy to ask him questions. I would definitely recommend him for biology.

4 total exams worth 100 pts. each but drops your lowest exam, so only 3 count. Final is just like exams but worth 200 points. Gives great study guides for each exam & also for final. Don't buy book, exams are on ONLY lecture notes. Easy to talk to in-person & on Facebook. Writing on whiteboard is hard to read & he talks very softly so sit close.

Sunjay is the best! I didn't look forward to biology, especially in the summer session, But it went great! Class is not the easiest, but it was easier than the other bio professors. He is always there if you need help, whether personal or for his class. Don't be scared, and ask if you need it. I don't see how any one can't pass bio with him.

Best Bio professor! Exams are off lecture so come to class. Lectures are plain and simple which makes it easy to understand. Sanjay also gives great study guides and he also goes over the study guide couple of days before the exam which gives you all the answers for the exam.

Easy class as long as you show up to lecture&lab. Take 4 tests and the lowest is dropped. Final is not cumulative. No quizzes in lecture, but there is a lab quiz every week. He gives you study guides for each test& goes over them! At the end of the semester he curves the grades. All you have to do is put in time, he will answer your questions too

Biology is not an easy class, but he definitely makes this class easy enough for students. He is my favorite professor so far. He remembers each of his student's name and he cares for them. I just can't love him enough as a professor! Definitely recommended!

Quizzes are based off the previous lab, and the study guides are almost word for word of the exam and the lecture. Sunjay is super chill, but definitely go to class! You learn a lot outside of traditional Bio esp in Biotech!

Amazing professor to have. Word of advice though, sit near the front of the room. His writing was hard for me to read sometimes and if you sit far then it's kind of hard to hear what he's saying. Tests questions and exams are based on notes you take. A quiz every week for lab and it's mainly what you did the week before. Overall awesome class.

Lectures are heavy I suggest you sit in the front because he doesn't speak too loud and also he draws many pictures. For the lab you don't need the book but there is a quiz in every lab from the previous one. Also, I suggest recording his lectures or the day he goes over the exam, he basically gives you all the answers. Each Exam has 3 essays.

Professor Sanjay made biology not boring. His course is lecture heavy and his exams for the lecture and lab come straight from the lecture so I would recommend to attend class regularly. Take good notes and youll be fine.

Proffessor Sanjay is awesome as long as you participate you should be good. His quizzes are kind of tuff but if you do the chapter lab worksheet you will have no problem. I defenatly would take his course again if I needed to.

There is no textbook for this class, just be careful with the lecture and make notes. Four exams, one lab midterm, one final exam and one final lab exam in this class, the exam includes many details about the lecture but you can accomplish well if you make an effort on them. Also each lab has quiz but they are easy.

This professor is very chill and grades fairly. Take notes as they are key to succeeding in his class. I recorded the lectures which helped me with the study guides. The study guide is not bible, you really have to take good notes. The lab was fun too, gave me extra points on my lab quizzes for helping him clean up. Overall love this professor!

TAKE HIS CLASS hes so chill and gives all the essay questions weeks before the exam along with the answers so you know exactly what youre in for, even gives some answers for mc and labs are super easy and fun. he is lecture heavy so def recommend recording or taking pics of the board but do that and follow the study guides for exams its an easy A

Had the pleasure of taking this class with Professor Sanjay after my son suggested me to take his class. I must say that it has been one of my favorite classes this semester. He really wants to help his students and makes himself available outside of class to answer any questions we have as well as providing students with good study guides.

Study everything, only use the study guides as an outline. Most ppl with bad grades and were lost didn't go to his class regularly. No HW or book you only have your notes, so make sure you go to class.

He's a really cool guy who takes time to chat with students. All we are graded on are exams, quizzes, lab sheets. Just study the study guide and you'll pass. This was one of my favorite classes.

Took him during spring semester, his lectures are heavy and does all the notes on white board. Sit up close to be able to read the notes as his writing is a bit tiny. Overall labs and the quizzes were easy, he's cool and likes to engage in conversation. Study the notes and you'll do fine in biology exams, I promise.

I personally loved this class.There is NO hw but that means a lot of the studying is up to you. Everything is lecture based, no txtbook. Lab review/quizzes are most of your graded material outside of exams. He drops the lowest exam score. Very easy to get ahold of outside of class, replies immediately. TAKE HIM! If I just tried a little harder and actually study for all exams then it couldv been an A, he even provide study guide w answers.. No homework except for lab review questions. One of the most caring professors you will ever have. Attend his lectures, listen to what he is saying, and take notes. You will be just fine if you do these three things. Also, before the test and final, you may ask him to go over the exam and he might just go over it with the whole class. I recommend that you record as he goes over the exams.
