Excellent Professor, i am not going in to the bio field so i was nervous going in to this class. However Dr Lopez makes sure you understand the material and his lectures are great

Exclent prof, he is willng to go the extra mile to help his students. He offers extra credit, the powerpoint help but they are not a substitue comp-ared to the book, the book clarfiy what he says. Over class is esy if you pay atttion, do the homework, and turn in your lab reports you will do fine in this class. He is not boring and u get early out of his class. He also has tutoring services if u do not understand something.

Lab with Dr. Lopez is always fun! He is a great teacher and always takes the times to explain things and help you. He is incredibly intelligent, but doesn't talk over your head. I had him for BIOL 121, 203, and 204. Great guy- I will continue taking any classes he may have in the future. He explains everything very well. In his lecture classes, he always includes a fact of the day. He has a blog that he shares with the class and it has some really neat and hilarious stuff on it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. One of the best at LCC.

Professor Lopez actually cares about teaching, which is rare for a community college. Microbiology is not everyone's favorite course, but at least he can keep your interest during class. Taking his lab helps you really learn the stuff.

I was lucky enough to have him for Lab and Lecture. He makes the class really fun and interesting. If you pay attention and do the reading he suggests, and you show up to lab to do the labs, you should be fine! And his wife's an amature baker and fed us yummy treats!

I took BIOL 203 online with Dr. Lopez. The homework assignments were easy, only 4-5 questions each, and he gave 132% for every assignment. The tests were all open book, and if you looke over the material before they were pretty simple. Great professor!!

He is a very helpful teacher. Updates grades almost immediately. Tests are open book, open note and you take them at home. Labs aren't hard and there are videos to watch where he goes over everything. Great teacher.

This is the 2nd class I have taken from Prof. Lopez. Clear and to the point. Makes online learning easy. 5 exams, 8 hmwk assignments and 1 paper. EC available. Responds to emails quickly and sends out emails weekly to make sure you are on task. Take him for any online course. Easy 4.0 with him in any online class.

This class was easier than expected! The labs are all online. It says to do that labs on your own by following the directions but I would say 80% of them can be looked up online. Dr. Lopez was clear about everything and super helpful! All exam were taken online as well.

Wonderful professor! I had him for my online BIO 121 class and it is the first biology class I have ever 4.0'ed! He lays everything out so everything is crystal clear. I don't really get why everyone rated this class super and and "a breeze". I took this class over the summer and honestly found it quite challenging. You are given a study guide and everything but its a read the textbook and test on what you read. No verbal lectures. If you are not that type of learner, don't take this online. Too much for summer..

I loved this professor & was probably the best one i've had at LCC yet! He makes everything available at the start of the semester so you can work at your own pace. Communicates with the class frequently. (twice a week) There are 5 exams all done online at home. There was 8 homework assignments spread out throughout the fall semester. Only 5?s ea.

The work was spaced out evenly so I rarely felt overwhelmed. If I had a bad test there was always a chance for extra credit to help make up for it.

Awesome teacher! There is a lot of material to cover but he provides more then enough EC to help you pass the class. You have to put in a little extra effort but it's nothing too crazy. He was always available to talk and quick to respond to E-mails. Would take his class again.

Took online. Prof Lopez was extremely organized & timely in grading. Nature of coursework is challenging, but he gave thorough power points which corresponded with testing material. Work load was reasonable & reasonably spaced out. Extra credit was available - helps if you're not a great test taker. Overall great teacher, would take again!

I have taken BIO203 with this professor and he is awesome. The layout and scheduling of homework and quizzes was spectacular. As long as your doing your part on your end, this professor definitely does his. This professor has created a system that allows you to get things done as long as your taking your own studies serious. Thumbs up!

Awesome professor! Took online in an advanced style but they layout of the class made it easy to keep up. He always made sure that the class was on track and gave weekly reminders of what needed to be done. One homework assignment online every week and an exam every other week. Exams at testing center.

Great professor! The material is a bit challenging but he does a great job of putting the most important ideas on the slides. He give so much extra credit I feel like it's impossible to fail. Also is very understanding, I messed up and missed the deadline to turn in the essays, I sent it in the next day apologizing and he still gave me full credit!

Took Microbiology from Dr. Lopez in the summer semester. With a condensed summer course, yes, there was a lot of reading from the textbookstudying to be done. If you keep up on the material and complete the exam reviews, you will be just fine. There is also extra credit built into that HW that helps a lot. Awesome courseprofessor!

Reading the lecture material and the material that is provided at the end of each chapter in his micro class helped me out so much. He is very specific with what needs to be studied for each test. He is a great professor and is always willing to help. I would take a class with his as the professor again.

I have a busy schedule so it was really helpful getting an email every week about what was due week. Grades are posted right away. Class schedule was very clear and course work was not heavy.

Mr. Loper Santiago is a Wonderful professor, he is so professional . The power lessons are organized very well, it is easy to follow for understanding every single concept . the class schedule and work load are clear , not heavy but cover entire main concepts of the course. I took his class online and it was amazing. At first, I was nervous of taking BIOL online. I student all the chapter questions and that was pretty much the exams!

He's a great professor. I took him online and he always got back with me by the next day. I work alot and he was very understanding about deadline and your life outside of class. The only thing was his reviews didnt really help for the exam

Took online course. If I had any questions he got back with me very fast. Was attentive. Would take another class from him again. All around great teacher.

1.) Really cares about his studying doing well in class. 2.) Replies very fast to my questions when I email him. 3.) You don't have to use the book since he covers everything in his powerpoint presentations and podcasts. Overall, he makes the subject so easy since he is able to explain it in a simplified way.

Lopez was an AWESOME professor! He explained the material clearly. If you had any questions he would email you back pretty quickly. He seemed to really care for his students and their learning. In taking exams, flash cards was the easiest way to study. If you study the lectures, you'll pass each exam. He gave several opportunities for extra credit!

I look Lopez's class in my first semester at LCC. He really does care about how well you understand the material and was great at explaining things that I had trouble understanding. Be sure to go over the lectures and take notes, his lectures are pretty easy to follow along with. I would definitely take a class of his again!

Santiago was a great choice for me. I struggle with biology, and he made it easy. He also answered emails in a very timely fashion, and his lectures were easy to follow. Everything that is going to be on the tests is in bold red in lectures. He sent my class the short answer questions one week in advance so we would have time to prepare.

Lectures do not seem to help much with test, but I had him online and he was a very good teacher.

I took this class online and really enjoyed it. He makes it very obvious what you need to know for exams and the homework and labs are very clear. He gives plenty of opportunities to help you understand.
