He's a really confusing prof, you're better off just following the examples in the textbook.

Nice guy in class but does not help afterwards. If you are stuck on a question or concept, do not bother asking for help or for clarification through email as he will say you should of asked questions in class.

there is i clicker quizzes worth 10 percent,. I mean if you try to understand him you cant sometimes he confuses himself. The course is realy difficult and he doesn't help at all

He's a great person, but he goes through his lectures way too fast and doesn't take up the more important problems at the end of the chapters. These problems I figured out on my own, but I still didn't receive a full understanding as to what I was doing, which was his job.

Worst prof I have ever had in my life. With his inability to take up questions properly (he will take 2/6 assigned questions) and make mistakes on both of them and waste 30 minutes fixing his problems or telling us about his time working at WalMart. Also, he is unwilling to help students during office hours and gets mad at us for not understanding.

Avoid even if he is teaching for free. He doesn't know what he is doing. I don't know how he is a prof. He claims he has his CPA lol. Worst experience ever,not available during his office hour. This prof is not qualified to teach finance. Often has students more confused by lectures. His inability to use slides and the textbook makes it 10x more confusing. The midterm was hard and did not reflect the content/level of difficulty learnt in class. switch profs if you want to do well and not have to teach yourself all semester...

Went to the classes at the beginning of the class, even emailed the professor and he doesn't bother helping you. He tells you to refer to D2L and that's it. I was able to pass the course by doing all the notes, practice questions on my own. He wasn't clear with half of the concepts and i couldn't understand him.

I have no words for him. He is as bad as him powerpoints. He does not care what is on the ppt, talk by himself and nobody knows what he is talking about. i study by my own for this course. SUPER HARD. I dont even know why he has 5.0 rate for some of the students??

This guy does not care about his students whatsoever. He is awful at email communication. He flies through all of his lectures and just assumes that his students grasp the concepts in class. He is pretty clueless regarding how to properly teach a class so that students actually understand the content. TRY TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I had this professor roughly a year ago but I came back here to warn future students about the nightmares I still have from his classes. He told me that I was not prepared to be an university student and that I lacked basic understanding of accounting. I got an offer from Deloitte for Audit full time a month after. Please avoid him at all costs.

I think the worst thing about Santaso is that he thinks he's doing a good job attempting to teach the material to the class. This guy is overall clueless, always conducts mistakes, doesn't even finish his lectures and talks about non-sense. I think it's best you just drop out of his class immediately.

I have never encountered a professor like Santoso. He is so disorganized, expects the class to know the material and therefore skips slides/key concepts. Always makes mistakes and gets irritated easily if someone doesn't understand. Attempting to learn from the textbook/hw modules did not help at all in preparation for tests. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!

Its not that he cant teach, its that he doesnt even teach at all. His classes consist of him rambling on about random stuff that has nothing to do with the material or whats being tested. Either switch or just learn everything from the textbook on your own. Dont expect to learn anything in class. Hes only good for very independent learners.

Santoso is THE worst prof I have ever encountered. He is disorganized, condescending, and does not teach whatsoever. He gives zero guidance and often gets frustrated when asked a question. He does a fantastic job of discouraging students and making them feel stupid. If you have him, SWITCH OUT IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Not a fan... I had him as a prof during the whole covid thing and we went online and he handled it very badly in my opinion. We had a midterm the week after online started and he said he would make it harder so we can't cheat (even though evry one was alone and back at home) and most people failed. He's not very understanding with stressed kids.

professor sugianto was by far one of the most difficult and frustrating professors I've ever had. His lectures were extremely difficult to follow and many times he was repeating himself or rambling on instead of getting straight to the point. The labs were very long for them to only be worth 2%. His exams are also very tough. Stay away if possible.

By far the worst teacher at Ryerson. I would rather jump off a plane without a parachute than take another class with this professor. Every class is a waste of 3 hours as he is either speaking nonsense, making fun of students "Stupid questions" or not answering anything at all. This professor couldn't even teach you how to add 1+1.

worst prof ever. does not teach you anything that is on the quizzes, exams or labs/ does not know how to teach the subject of finance, he is extremely hard to understand. you can't ask him a question, he'll just make fun of you for asking it saying "you should already know", and he is no help at all with anything.

this course had lots of components that were worth around 25% each which makes it easier to get higher grades in this class. You will need the book for sure as this prof DOES NOT TEACH ANYTHING AT ALL AND DOES NOT HELP WHATSOEVER. Just study the book and do well on the lab and quizzes. They are worth a lot and can actually boost your grade!!

If you want to learn the material on your own, take him... Otherwise, he is inadequate prof and you could barely understand his English.. Overall, the course is fairly good and possible to get B or higher depending on how you are personally motivated to do the work all on your own.

he is a tough grader who takes many marks off for one mistake. I can't stand it I'm so disappointed. People with other professors all did well on this task but not with this class. I worked hard too :(

Very tough professor for an introductory level course. Condescending and disrespectful when answering questions, expects you to know how to do everything. Refuses to answer long questions, unempathetic, rude, does not care about students in this course. The only teacher I can say in my first year who was flat out terrible.

If you are a student with a disability that requires accommodations for assignments, avoid this professor at all costs. He is shockingly ableist. He will not even read your accommodations letter and will force you to jump through hoops. He is extremely condescending and will treat you like you're an idiot, especially if you dare to ask for help.

This is my only review in four years of college. Professor Santoso is a very caring person, but he is so horrible at teaching that you will stop going to his classes after the second one. Suggest that TMU gives Professor Santoso more calculations-heavy courses rather than concept-heavy ones since he has his CPA, MBA, CFA, etc.

Professor Santoso could quite literally be the worst finance professor at Ryerson. This man managed to take an easy course such as Ethics and drag the class average through the mud. With rarely anyone getting above 60%, This professor has passionate hate towards students. Class average around D-. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This professor has 0 lesson plan other than reading off the textbook. The only lectures he provides are reading the textbook together where he tries to summarize stuff, but then tells you all to read it anyways. His assignments are very vague with limited instructions.

TMU needs to do a background check on this guy. He teaches very fast and does not show any examples on how he got to the solution. He knows his stuff but does not know how to pass down his knowledge to students. Very disappointing. Im usually a A+ student in FIN, I took his class and ended up with a B-.

Avoid him as much as possible. Stopped going to the lectures after the first week because you cannot understand anything he's saying. I've never seen a person let alone a professor have so much trouble forming simple sentences. You will have to teach yourself the entire course.

Take absolutely anyone else. He has no structure to any of his lectures, making it extremely difficult to understand and follow along. Every lecture consisted of him mumbling and writing chicken scratch on the board - only a (VERY) small handful of students showed up to class until the end of the semester. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

None of his lectures make sense. He has a thick accent to make things worse. As someone who did Accounting previously, I found some of the concepts taught in class familiar, and I found it absurd how he explained things. Most of what he says is nonsensical. He does his work on paper and projects it. This class was horrendous; I had to drop it.

This is most likely the worst prof to ever exist in the history of TMU. I went to his first lecture of the year and all he did was talk about himself. The second class I went to, he spoke gibberish and expected people to understand everything. He kicks people out of class if they're whispering to each other and has bad example questions. SO BAD!

By far the worst prof I have had at my time at TMU, His teaching ability in person is comparable to an elementary teacher. His explanations and illustrations of his math and steps are all over the place and too fast to understand. You practically have to teach yourself the whole course because of that. This professor is one of the most disorganized profs I've ever had at TMU, he goes off on a lot of tangents that don't help with the questions. He speaks too quickly without even caring whether the students understand the concepts. Be prepared to teach yourself everything in this course. Save your time and effort.

DO NOT TAKE The class average for the midterm was in the 40s but he still insisted it was our fault and not his teaching ability. He called the class USELESS and DUMB for doing a poor job. His exams trick students & do not relate to the textbook unlike the other acc406 teachers midterms that i was able to see from friends when they got it back.

I took this prof for AFA 200. Highly DO NOT recommend. The prof does not offer help outside of class to go over questions. He shuts down students by saying "no, I don't offer private tutoring". The prof rambles on in class and makes the content harder than it needs to be. Avoid him if possible.

The class average on his final was a 50% before the curve, but I later found out he had to curve the final by 12%. The exam questions had no correlation to the textbook and trust me I did every last question. Went to his office hours to check my midterm and he gave me hell for coming berating me the entire time I was there. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF!

Prefers his own methods, does very little practice q. & ends class early, doesn't provide office hrs (will RUDEly say no &/or make a snarky comment), PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE over email, refuses to answer questions during midterm&final GETS MAD if asked, final's HARDER than textbook, MARKS HARD, made comments in class saying he DOESN'T THINK WE'LL PASS

Santoso's final exams are very difficult and are not similar to the course material at all. When he's teaching, he goes fast and expects students to just understand. He does practice questions in class which helps but only for the midterm. For the final, there wasn't one question from our textbook. Also, he is pretty rude when you email him. Avoid.

His lecture is irrelevant to the test and what he only do is reading the context in slides(sometimes he shows some exercises that no one could understand). DO NOT TAKE his lecture unless you want get failed.

His teaching skills are lacking, and he should reconsider teaching. The midterm class average was 48%, no sufficient time. Avoid him at all costs.

WORST PROFESSOR AT TMU! In my four years of university I have never had a professor this bad. It is hard to comprehend how bad he is until you take him. He is actually so incompetent. International finance is a MATH heavy course, 98% if the practice problems, HW quiz problems are math based but yet somehow the midterm and final is mainly theory. There is legitimately no way to study theory in this class aside from reading the textbook which doesn't really help. 0/10 incompetent

His exam questions, specifically the Final, was something he just makes up unrelated to problems solved in class. DO NOT TAKE HIM. If you have ANY courses with him, just take a course with a different professor or next semester if you can defer it.

Couldn't teach if his life depended on it. Constantly gets off track and can't explain concepts at all. He also has an extremely thick accent. I concentrated more on trying to understand him than on what he was teaching. He definitely is knowledgeable about the course material, but he has zero teaching abilities. DO NOT TAKE!!!!

Truly terrible. Bad attitude acted like students were the problem. His writing was super messy and nearly illegible. He blamed students for not doing well in the course when it is difficult to learn when his lectures are bad. The final exam was not very hard. Do not take Santoso as a prof but ACC 100 is still quite simple.

First of all the prof had trouble answering students questions whether it's over email or in person. I have emailed him a few times just to remind him to post the final exam details. He never answers with full sentences. He grades too hard for a teacher who can't teach anything to help with the course and terribly unorganized. Don't take him pls.

For an intro to accounting course, his lectures are not helpful at all. His lectures are made up of confusing analogies, and you end up leaving the lecture more confused than you came in. The textbook is your saviour if you end up in his section. I advise that you switch into a section with a different professor if you're enrolled in his section.

Terrible at teaching, makes little to no effort to actually make material comprehensible, marks unfairly and based on criteria he will NOT inform you on. He does not provide outlines but marks aggressively, feedback tends to be passive-aggressive and does not actually inform you of what you are missing or how you could improve.

As others have said, he uses super confusing analogies during lecture and generally seems not to understand the content at all but tries to hide that with complexity. It was clear his lectures wouldn't be helpful when he couldn't even prepare a balanced balance sheet with only 4 items. Honestly just do the readings on your own time, dont go to lecs

Does not accept late submissions- automatic 0, his assignment briefs are confusing and missing important details, which you will then be docked marks for. Does not react well when asking for help, has a condescending rude tone. He needs a performance evaluation with the board because I do not understand how professors like this are still employed.

He is NOT worth it. He says alot during lectures, and it's not related to the tests. The midterm was all Excel, and we barely did Excel in class. Better off studying at home and trying to get lecture notes from other professors as they make the exam. We'd ask him questions about what we can/can't use, and he was clueless.

Never in my life have I had a more incompetent professor. Don't expect him to actually teach you anything because none of it will ever apply towards the assignments. Everything is graded automatically online including, assingments, quizes, midterm and final, and he only reads off the textbook slides meaning he puts very little effort into teaching. He makes the quizes for the lecture due BEFORE the actualy lecture itself and then doesn't take up the questions. Came 30+ minuets late several times to class.

From the very first day of class, I knew that he would be a terrible professor. He is bad at explaining, and reading the textbook will get you further than any of his lecturing will. On top of that, he gives attitude to students for asking questions, and gets irritated VERY easily. Not sure how he was hired but he needs to be removed.

His goal is to destroy your CGPA. Drop his class. He doesn't teach class content, and doesn't do practise problems, you will leave lecture asking what did we even do for 3 hours? Also he is very rude, and can't even use Excel at a intermediate level, he paused lecture for 30 minutes to figure out his own mistake, and didn't even fix it in the end.
