pretty cool teacher. class wasnt that hard but make sure you do the reading for homework bc you usually go over it and may kick you out if u cant keep up with the discussion.

she's an awesome professor. she keeps you listening and awake. her assignments are easy as long as you keep up and read what she tells you to in the textbook. if you don't do your homework or don't bring your text she may kick you out though.

professor hosey is an awesome teacher! the class is fun and she keeps it always interesting. the work load is managable and she is a fair grader. she is always willing to help anyone and she is extremely nice and friendly. i would definately take her class again.

Amazing! Her class was my most favorite during my time at NCC. She seems tough at first, but her class isn't that bad. She's extremely nice and her classes usually are free flowing discussions. Do all of your homeworks and essays and you're just about guaranteed an A.

Professor Hosey is probably the most understanding professor I've had. She listens in discussions and encourages your discourse- just as long as there aren't any personal attacks. She seems to value the opinions of her students. She wants you to learn. I recommend this professor. :)

Prof. Hosey is an amazing teacher! Just make sure you have your text book and you do the EASY SHORT readings she gives and you'll be just fine! Her classes are mostly discussions and she is very helpful with your papers, and she will sit down and talk to you about them to make sure they are perfect. TAKE HER CLASS! If you do your work, ull get an A

Amazing teacher...she was so kind and hlepful and you can talk to her about anything. Just make sure you always do the readings and papers but its so easy and she makes each class so easy

I had this professor twice(203&204) and both times I learned alot! Do all the reading assignments and be prepared to discuss them in class. This professor will help you if your having trouble. She is very knowledgeable and has a passion to teach. Go Sara!

awesome professor!! really cares about her students and really wants you to learn. Bring the textbook to class everyday, do all of your reading responses and essays and you'll be fine. Also show up to class on time..if you are late she will not let you in!

Shes great. she cares sooo much about her kids you have to write essays and do work but its not a lot and she helps you out so much. put the effort in and shell give you a great grade. she also is a little crazy about phones and lateness but she really pushes you to learn. you wont regret her.

Shes a great professor. Do the rough draft and the papers and youll pass. dont be at least 10 minutes late, she wont let you into the class. One thing that I wish did different is talking more. If I did I would have gotten an A instead of a B+.

Very easy teacher. discussions in class how to do with real life. she wants to help you out. about 4 essays but pretty easy, gives you some class time to do them and help you out with them they are weeks apart which is great not all due at once. She was great loved her. would deff have her again :)

She is a wonderfull teacher.Very helpfull and understanding.She gives atleast 4 essays for the whole semester and gives personal time to each student to help them make their essays much better.Just pay attention to the class and you'll be good.Please do pay attention to the attendance and absolutlety do not use your cell phones.

This class changed so many of my views about academics. I don't have enough words to describe how smart and amazing Dr. Hosey is. I wish for everyone to have a professor like her. She's passionate about making students learn and her vast knowledge demands respect.

Prof Sara hosey is a freaking amazing prof. Believe me, come to class on time as she's strict about lateness. She relate her lectures to reality. She enjoys helping her students improve their writing. She's cool also.she gives about 5 essay for the semester which are moderately easy . Trust you'll learna lot from her. I loved her.

She is an excellent professor. She's very passionate about helping her students improve and pass the class. I really recommend her deeply. Just be on time because she won't allow you in if you're over 10 minutes late and do not use your cell phones because she'll throw you out for that.

She is truely passionate about what she does and has helped me come a long way in writing. She is funny and extremely helpful. I enjoyed attending her class, only thing i didnt like was that in every class we would all have to sit in a circle and share ideas but besides that I strongly recommend her.

There's a lot of responses, and tests aren't entirely easy but if you do the reading and study for midtermfinal you're gold. Participate!! Dr. Hosey is an exceptional professor. If you're a guy, take her women studies course. You won't be attacked for your gender and it's worth opening your eyes. Also DO NOT be late! Textbook is given too.

One of the best professors I've ever had! She teaches other subjects that I have absolutely no interest in, but I'm seriously considering taking them because I love her.

Out of all my years that I have gone to Nassau, I have never had a Professor like Prof, Hosey. She is by far the best teacher I have ever had & she is very inspirational. She makes you want to learn, she brings so much clarity to the readings. But know you have to show up & you have to work hard and there is a lot of reading. But she is so awesome.

I'd recommend taking professor Hosey. As long as you follow the syllabus, participate, and do your assignments on time you'll do well in her class. She is a stickler for being on time for class, (rightfully so) so don't be late!!

Overall the best professor I've had at ncc. She is very helpful and cares a great deal about her students. She might be a little strict , but she is definitely worth taking. Her class was fun and had a great atmosphere.

She is a great professor. She is very strict when it comes to attendance and lateness. She also will kick you out of class for not doing homework on occasion. Very helpful and willing to listen to others without judging.

As always Dr. Hosey is amazing. There's a mid-term and the final was "take home" with almost two weeks to do it. The final project, if you get her for this class spring 17 definitely do readings and responses ahead of time and edit them as your perspectives change. She's an amazing professor!!

She is absolutely the best professor I've ever had in any school I've been to. She really respects and cares for all of her students. The Women's Studies courses are constantly changing due to new material every semester even so you'll be learning new things every class and also learning about your classmates. I 100% recommend this class.

Dr. Hosey was one of the best professors I've ever had at NCC!! She makes literature so rewarding to learn and really shows appreciation in her lectures. There is a lot of reading and work to be done in order to pass the class, but Dr. Hosey doesn't make the hw feel like work, the readings will inspire you to do her work. Everyone should take her!!

Amazing! Love Dr. Hosey. Take 101 with her, it's a good basis for 105. Lateness is unacceptable just as being unprepared. Don't bother coming to class without responses or any work due that day. If there's an issue ALWAYS email her!! Unfortunately she's not teaching other classes I need for my degree or I'd take again. TXT book provided!

I took her for an English course, and I loved her so much that I took her for a Women's Studies course. The issue there was that if you have a dissenting opinion from her and the rest of the class, be prepared to have people (and her) jump down your throat.

I had her my first semester at NCC and she was amazing! She helped me improve my essay writing skills and is such an inspirational person. Really enjoyed going to her class, even if it was at 8am. Would def take it again, I'm considering taking women's studies with her in the future!

Overall an amazing prof and person. She could be tough but as long as you're showing effort she'll help you through it. Attendance is mandatory, and although she assigns a lot of homework.. they are 100% do-able. As long as you follow her instructions and participate you will receive a good grade.

This professor is amazing!!! The best professor I had so far at Nassau. I took her for studies in children literature, however I think she only teaches this class once in a while. However, she does teach women studies, please take her whenever you can. This professor is willing to help you in any way and a genuinly caring and nice person.

She makes time to met with you in her office, answers her emails, and works with you. Do not even consider taking out your phone or not doing your work you will get kicked out. I recommend this class and her as a professor.

Professor Hosey is amazing!! She is so funny and really caring but she also expects you to do your part. Her class is not hard if you just do what you need to do and she is always available to help you. Do yourself a favor and take a class with her!

Professor Hosey is the best. If you ever get the pleasure of taking her class please do so. She loves what she does and puts a lot of effort into her teaching, if you are slacking she has no problem telling you so/ kicking you out.

The best professor that you wish you can have a mini of her wherever you go. Though I dropped the class for personal reasons, when I did attend, she was the most passionate and caring professor Ive ever had. There is a lot of work but in a good way, she takes you out of your comfort zone. I hate reading aloud to strangers but she had our backs.

Shes great!! Just show up and do your work and its an easy A! She explains the books and the passages thoroughly so just write down what ever she says and but it in your essay an A. There are two tests and they are easy 100s if you memorize the passages and books names with their authors!

She is the best English professor. I took her for English 100. She is so kind and caring. She was really helpful and took the time to go over the essay prompts thoroughly. The course consisted of 5 essays and a couple of text responses. Also she gave you a month to write the essays and does peer review which was really helpful. BEST PROFS EVER!!!

If you have a chance to take English with professor hosey I would 100% recommend her if you are a shy introvert and hate being out your comfort zone I promise you she will take you out of your comfort zone and have you participate but will give you 100% of the effort you put into the class.

I had Sara twice and it was very worth it. I had her for English then she convinced me to take Women's studies, which I was very grateful to take. She is by the best English professor I had in NCC. She is respectful, attentive, caring, and a great teacher. Those who say otherwise clearly did not put enough care into the class. Easily recommendable.

Shes such a caring lady. Shes heavy on quotes which was actually good help because i was pretty bad. I would suggest her to my friends, do the work and youll be fine. Will call on you if class doesnt want to answer but itll most likely be to read a passage or something small. Dont know my grade yet but Blackboard is updated regularly

I have had the chance to have Professor Hosey, and I must say that she is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is always ready to answer your questions, and will do everything in her power to make you understand whatever you find yourself confused on. She does give a lot of writing assignments, but they are only one page long.

Professor Hosey is such a real gem. Her response papers were stressful, but so much fun to do, same goes for the literary analysis and final paper. Ignore the negative review about her, she is amazing. She'll be impatient sometimes because of unprepared people can be. Just do the work and there won't be any issues

Professor hosey is the best English professor I had. She is amazing at what she does and she loves what she do. She also teaches women studies too. 10/10 would recommend her. Not an easy A and get ready to read some traumatic books.

Professor Hosey truly shows that she loves what she does. It is a lot of reading and writing but it was surprisingly fun to do. The books are a tough read but you'll feel accomplished after finishing.

What else can I say Dr. Hosey has made such an impact in my life and her lectures are phenomenal, leaving engaging messages that will stick with me for the rest of my life. I would 100% recommend taking her if you want someone who is passionate about their work! I took her twice for my Composition I & II and plan on taking another course.

When i took her it was for 117 Creative fiction writing (Rmp didn't have the option for that course) But it was a fun and engaging class and she gave good feedback and criticism. Read the packet or story she assigns before going to her class. Bring paper and pens as she doesn't care for computers in the classroom. Would recommend.

I have taken two of her classes and I am planning to take a third. She is tough but you learn a lot from her. She is extremely intelligent and inspiring and could work at an ivy league school. If you are a serious student you will do well in her school. She gives great feedback and advice.

The kindest professor in NCC. Wants you to succeed and do well in her class. I enjoyed the group discussions so much. Be ready to write a lot of discussions but also improve your writing skills. I would definitely take another class with her if I could.She sees the potential in all her students.

Great professor and has simple assignments. Very reading heavy so make sure you own a library card. Her assignments are easy all you have to do is show up to class and participate. She is very understanding if you have a personal issue outside of class.

I absolutely loved her class as someone who loves English. The course was all about reading so def get prepared for that. But most of the books and reading material was interesting and fun to read. she's a real fun teacher! her only rule is to not use phones in her class. she will try to accommodate for students when they tell her about them, & she's very skilled when it comes to getting paper out of notebooks.

Amazing professor. Very accommodating and reasonable. So long as you're decently good in reading and writing, you shouldn't have much trouble. Clear, concise syllabus and assignments. Midterm is annoying, otherwise all other assignments are smooth sailing. Hates phones, will kick you out for using it. Very kind, accepting and easy to talk to.

She is a very lively teacher who does promote creative writing and stories. And willing to talk with students who has concerns.

I'll never forget this godsend of a professor. She gives assignments that anyone can do, and she is very accommodating. I graduated so I won't have her again, but she left a tremendous impact on my life and she'll always be in my heart. God bless!

Books are required. No technology classes. Essays and paragraphs are often, but easy and straightforward. Clear grading guidelines. Very accommodating, willing to work with you, and likely to give extra time for essays if you ask. Easy to talk to and connect with.

She is the most caring professor I've met. Communicates with students. She does call on people randomly but you get used to it.. I did. Her lectures were amazing and it was more of a group talk which I loved. Take he!!!!! She grades fairly and gives feedback. She is also very understandable. TAKE HER!!!!!

Sara is an amazing professor; she does not like any electronics, so be prepared to handwrite everything. I took her for 263, and I loved her, the best prof at NCC. She's caring, funny, and answers all your questions as well as emails; she will go out of her way to help you with anything. If you have the chance to take Sara, do not hesitate!
