Very friendly and approachable. Her study guides are pages long and very vague (but she'll tell you she is very direct with what's on her exams) so be ready to study very broadly and pray what you study is on the test. The homework is very difficult and isn't relevant to problems on the exams. Boring lecturer, literally reads off the slide monotone
Pretty good prof, just a bit lecture heavy.
Really good professor. She's approachable, nice, very clear in her expectations for the class. Tests aren't hard but you do need to study. I would take this class again if I could I highly recommend her
A great professor who seems to enjoy what she lectures to her students. The class is not an easy A so studying and showing up to class and she's always available to help those who need extra help.
I have her for Oral Communications and she's a good teacher but a bit overqualified since she is an engineering prof too. Not a lot of homework and minimal work so it is a good class to get that GE out of the way.
I'm currently taking her ES 104 class and I have to say she is a great teacher. Minimal work, very accessible. Just do your absolute best on all assignments and you will pass with a good grade. Would take this class again and another class of her's in the future if that ever comes about.
Great teacher! She is very knowledgeable and wants you to get good grades. I would recommend taking this teacher and she provides materials for the class.
Kassis is THE best professor at SSU. Had her for a couple courses and both were world class. Physics is a hard course and she isn't going to hand out a grade if you don't work for it. But if you need help she WILL go above and beyond to make sure you understand whatever topic you need help with. Don't be shy if you ever need help

Sara is very helpful and caring towards her field and students. Lectures sometimes feel that they are dragging along but she encourages students to participate and be interactive. She is very helpful and clearly wants her students to do well in her class. Her study guides are also extremely helpful and accurately outline the exam.
Kassis is a great instructor, she is really good at making the lectures fun and the topics easy to understand. She is also easy to talk to and loves helping students with questions. 10/10 would take classes with her again.
Kassis is an incredible professor, took this class fall23. She'll give her all to help you understand the material if you ask. Physics is a challenging subject; there are many formulas that you need to understand and use. The exams are fair if you take the time to study for them. This course was a wake-up call for me, to work and study harder.
Terrible professor just reads off the slides, isn't passionate about what she teaches. Lectures are dull.
Probably say a good lecture professor who can maintain pace and teach EE345, gives lots of resources to help you understand the material and is very open to any questions, overall a good professor take her if you need EE345
This professor lacks professionalism and confidentiality, openly discussing students' academic performance taking away opportunities. With a physics degree rather than engineering, she presents herself as an expert despite lacking formal qualifications. Her teaching lacks depth, leaving gaps in students' understanding of core engineering concepts.
I took the Light and Color course, but the homework didn't prepare me for the exams, and the instruction was terrible. The lectures were boring, and the professor couldn't teach. It was so bad that I ended up dropping the course.
During Covid. Avoid taking her if you can really. Lectures are confusing to understand and she doesn't know electrical engineering. Seems quite right because she doesn't have a specialization in any engineering field. Her class doesn't prepare you for EEcircuits. Learning her method of Kirchhoff's voltage and circuit laws is there to confuse you.
Organized Professor, that's her best aspect along with knowing what will most likely be on the test (She gives a lot of hints). Besides that she's doesn't have any real engineering experience, so for in the EE dept she isn't the best for advice, but overall she's good at teaching, at times she can be a little unprofessional, overall good teacher.
Actually took Phys 210A/B and I really enjoyed Dr. Kassis' teaching style. She is organized, well spoken, and thoughtful towards her life-science majors in the intro class. She makes a subject that many of us dislike/struggle with palatable and she explains everything step-by-step, especially the math. It creates an equitable learning environment.
She's passionate about what she teaches but unorganized at times. She takes forever to grade so I never really knew what my grade was which bothered me. Class was pretty easy as long as you pay attention to the lectures but sometimes her lectures didn't reflect the homework and quizzes
I'm in this physics 210A class right now my friends told me to take it. Think its kind of boring.
For a general education course, this class felt slower and less engaging than expected. The material could have been presented in a more interactive way to keep students interested. If you prefer a livelier or more discussion based GE class, you might want to explore other options.
Super thorough and approachable physics professor with clear expectations. Her lectures are organized and very helpful for exams. The homework is intentionally challenging, but lectures and SI will prepare you well. Do not be dissuaded here; she is very engaging given the material and encourages participation. Very grateful to have her at SSU!

This class was challenging for me because the instructor's behavior felt intimidating at times. She often watched students closely in a way that made it hard to relax and stay engaged.
The environment in this class felt like trying to control the uncontrollable. The overall atmosphere among the students was chaotic, and it made it difficult to stay focused.
