First time teaching A/P 1 at UNF, and she's very good. Tests and quizzes come exactly from the outlines/book and lecture. She makes learning A/P very simple and easy. This is the best A/P class i've taken in years. She offers other lectures that you can attend to gain bonus points. Definitely a chili pepper!!!!!
I love her!!! She honestly made the class fun. If you can, get her for lab too. She's young and funny and she really teaches. I'm going out of my way to get her for A&P II lab!
Great teacher. She's very personable and cooperates with students with things like test dates and makeup quizzes. All of her powerpoints as well as outlines are posted online. She covers everything that will be on the test in the powerpoints so if you just make some notecards you'll do fine.
Great teacher! I thought this class was going to be a lot harder, but she makes it really easy. She posts power points and lecture outlines, explains things very clearly. She is fun and tries to relate to students. There no surprises on tests. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT! A 10 point quiz every week. Wish she was teaching A&PII...
Extremely unprofessional, she is the worst prof I've ever had at UNF. She reads straight out of the textbook and has failed to cover almost half the material we needed for the entire semester. She's a pushover when it comes to test dates and quizzes. She has no clue what she's talking about and has to read from the powerpoint. Not qualified!!!!!
She's more than qualified, all these biology classes are self taught from the book anyway, soooo yeah. She is helpful and constructs a good A&P class for an easy A (extra credit points galore) and exams are straight forward. Yes she progresses slowly but this isnt a class like organic chem, you dont need to know this crap for 2nd semester
Very inprofessional, felt like I had a fellow classmate teach us the material. Easy A,but doesn't prepare you for A&P II. She read straight form the text book and uses premade powerpoints. Do not take her if you really need this course for you major, you will end up teaching yourself all the material that she didn't cover.
This was an awesome class. Yeah she didnt lecture on everything but you should expect to teach yourself in all college courses. If you show up for class this is an easy A as she goes over practically everything that will be on the test. NO surprises on tests. Get her for lab too if you can!!
If you don't plan on taking A&P II or ever succeeding in anything in life that requires this class than she's fine. Otherwise she is by far the worst professor I have ever had! She's ridiculously unprofessional and taught us nothing. She read straight out of the textbook! I taught myself this class, better than she did too.
She is a great teacher and really cares about the students. Print her slides, come to class, and do the online stuff and you will be fine. If you struggle in this class with this instructor you should probably change your major you moron!
This professor was really passionate about what she taught. She was very motivated and very helpful. She was more understanding than other professors, probably cause cause she does the same stuff most students like to do. I onlt had a B because i didn't study when I should have and because my lab professor wasn't as good. Must take for AandP 2.
colosimo is a nice teacher. she gives fill in the blank quizes every friday. with 2 points extra credit avalible on each. Read the powerpoints and keep up with her in lecture and you should get an A. tests are really easy, i didnt study for most and still got and A.
Easy A.
Got a B. she's wants u to get a good grade. She even held study sessions outside of class. Notes and Tests are str8 forward
she is one of the best professors I've ever taken at UNF..she is trying her best in teaching and dealing with students. take her for the lab if you can because she is very helpful. I studies her slides and the online practice exams and ended up with A...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..SHE ROCKS
If your looking to take A&P I, take Mrs. C! She's an awesome teacher. She's extremely chill and very passionate about what she teaches which makes learning it easy. I did not have her as a lab instructor, but I've heard she was great in lab as well.
finally a nice and great professor. the class is short (50min) and she tends to go off on tangents about her own life, but she is a good teacher and is nice. anatomy is difficult in itself. take her if you can!!
Easy A, if you don't want to learn anything. She's extremely unprofessional and doesn't know how to teach at all. I have taught myself everything in this class and pass with flying colors. Her tests are for children. Wish we could have a real teacher for such an important class.
Same teacher as API???? Damn, when do I get to learn something about anatomy and physiology?
She isn't good at teaching lecture. All her PP and notes are from the publishing co.; wouldn't be surprised if her exams were the same way. However, she is VERY different for lab. She seemed more passionate about teaching the hands-on portion of A&P to a group of 30 than to an auditorium of 100+. Take her if you can get her for lab too, if not GL!!
got and A, it wasn't an easy class and the physiology portion in it outweighed the anatomy stuff. bottom line, she tries her best and most of the students in my class passed with good grades. too bad she doesn't teach APII labs. I would recommend her to any student who wants to learn A&P
Great teacher! Fun class, your best bet is taking it with her! if you have to choose between lab and lecture, choose lab, more teaching goes on there and will help you with lecture
Best lab prof ever! Whatever you don't understand in lecture she will explain in lab... I wouldn't have passed with an 'A' if it wasn't for her! She is extremely passionate about what she teaches and makes the class fun! Taakkkeeee herrrrrrr.
I mean, it is A&P, so it's not going to be easy with anyone you take, but I had Sara for 1 and 2. You just have to go to lecture and study a little bit. Really good teacher. Give her a semester or two more of playing rugby and I think she'll be looking hot.
Study the ppt (most of the questions from the exam is on it). I've not touched the book once and passed with a B+. She gives out random participation points during class and has quizzes online every week. She is pretty easy compared to other A&P teachers at UNF. We even skipped chapters because we didn't have time to finish them all.
Awesome teacher!!!! Had her for both lecture and lab and she tells you exactly whats going to be on the practicals in lab and goes step by step so everyone understands. In lecture she goes by the power point but drops an exam and has extra credit on each exam and class participation so you can get a good grade really easily. TAKE HER!!!
Great professor. I'm really sad I couldn't get her for a&p 2 also. Tests are straight from notes which are straight from the book. Very easy to understand and made class as enjoyable as possible. Online quiz every week gives grade some padding and helps you learn the material. Use the website for the book.
She's an easy teacher and most of her lecture comprises of powerpoints that she posts online. I highly suggest going to class though because she'll sometimes give pop quizzes that are easy A's. My only regret is not trying/studying hard enough in this class.
LOVED this teacher! She explains everything and gave lots of extra credit! I learned everything I needed to know from her! Was very well prepared for my other classes.Just come to class and you will be fine! Very passionate about her job and kinda hot! TAKE HER!
Awesome teacher! Genuinely enjoys her job and wants students to do well! 4 exams and a final, 10 online quizzes (with multiple chances to get a better grade), in-class pop participation (so attend lecture!). You have to be put in the work, but can easily attain an A! GREAT in Lab! Really, do anything you can to atleast get her in lab!
LOVE HER! Its not the easiest but its managable I got a B. She tells you everything you need to do. Best A&P professor by far!!
Best teacher I had at UNF. I took her for lab and lecture and she doesn't waste class time teaching you the body parts in lab or the concepts in lecture. outlines the chapters and posts them on blackboard for you.
I have taken this professor 3 times (AP 1 & 2 and Bio 3). She is the BEST, simply put. Passionate, intelligent, helpful, and fair. Every teacher needs to be like her. She geniunely enjoys what she is teaching and is always willing to hear student input. She tests on what she teaches. Do your fair share and you can get that A. Take her!
Anatomy can be hard but she makes it fun. I like her spirit and that made learning a mountain of material easier. Take her if you can.
Great teacher! Made some extremely difficult material enjoyable to learn about. And she's really funny!
Easy as pie! Take her.
Kind of unorganized, very passionate about topic though. Tests are pretty tough, but do the homework and study.
One of the best teachers I've had while attending UNF thus far! She is so helpful and makes the info in anatomy fun and easy to learn. I got A's on all the lab practicals! Pay attention and listen to everything she says and you'll do great!
One of the worst teachers ive had at UNF.
She's okay, she can come off as being rude, but she's not the worst I've had. She's pretty straight forward and the practicals are not that hard, just be prepared to read and know everything that she tells you and lectures on in lab. She picks out groups to write and work your main paper on and collection. I would take her again.
Had her for anatomy lecture, get ready to study for this class! Not difficult, just time consuming. She is my favorite teacher at UNF so far! Cares about her students, knows the materials, and teaches lab very well. Made a difficult class very enjoyable, even at 8am!
Best teacher in the bio department. No one has ever explained things to me in a way that stuck so well. PAY ATTENTION. And do well on the first two practicals, they're the easiest. And do your lab sheets. You can literally just scribble on them. Those points will help you a lot. She's so funny and so sweet. I'd take her again in a heart beat.
4 practicals, 4 quizzes, 1 drop quiz. multiple hw sheets, multiple graded handouts. Very nice professor. You need to study and put the time into it. She wants students to be very specific and not vague. overall good professor.
She is a really good professor and really wants to see her students excel. Her exams are difficult, but they are fair. Although attendance and the textbook aren't mandatory, I strongly suggest both. The material is difficult, but she dumbs things down well. Allows one exam grade drop.
Colosimo was one of the best professors I had! The class is super tough though. You have to go to class or you will not pass. A lot of memorization for the practicals, but if you study you will be fine. She truly cares about her students which is cool. 4 practicals and 4 quizzes. Class was enjoyable and she makes it fun.
A great A&P2 lab professor, laid back, wants you to pass. Lays out the information you need to know to pass the practicals. She gives a full run through when doing dissections, etc. to make sure students understand! A great professor
A&P requires a lot of work, period. So be ready to study. But Colosimo wants you to succeed so she really explains the material. She also has a talent for helping you make it stick, and she makes class pretty fun. Lots of homework, which can be useful to actually learn the material. Exams are VERY thorough. Would definitely take her again.
She was really nice and helpful. Explains stuff really well and is easy to understand. Study and you will be fine.
Colosimo does a great job at helping you remember the material needed for the practicals. It is a tough class but if you study and take the practicals seriously and the three quizzes you'll do fine.
Study, Study, Study and you will be fine. She is ahhhhhmazing. One of the best prof's I have had. If you have questions ask her of you wont pass. She is laid back and great at explaining things. Had her for lab and the hardest thing was the practicals but going to her office hours help out substantially.
Shes great. Anatomy is tough, but if you study, you will enjoy the class and pass
She is very funny and really knows what she is talking about. She is very helpful but talks pretty quickly but if you pay attention you will do fine. You will learn so much in this class and it is alot of information but if you put in the work you'll be fine.
Obviously showing up to lab is pretty much mandatory, you have a 50 point grade for doing review sheets for labs that are all online and she grades by completion. The practicals are pretty rough but I think that goes for all labs. She gives a ton of supplementary sheets and answers all questions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone
She is really awesome at explaining things and is very relaxed in class. She can get a bit annoying when she is trying to be funny but that's something you could easily get over. Practical's are pretty hard so get ready to study a lot for them. I would for sure recommend as long as you're ready to put in the work.
Really good professor but she takes forever to grade. She talks really fast and youll have to study a lot out of class but the class isnt that hard. Go to SI. She pronounces words wrong all of the time and it lowkey drives me crazy lol
I LOVE her. This course is naturally pretty hard, so you have to put in the work, but she's very engaging & organized in lectures & you'll always know what to expect on exams. All exams have 5-6 extra credit Qs & are half MC and half extended response. She does have a few participation assignments in lectures, so I wouldn't recommend skipping.
She is super funny and upbeat in lab but in lecture you'll have to be prepared and come with a Redbull. You HAVE to make time for this class, and start studying as soon as class ends to go over material because there is just so much to retain. Her exams are not like the powerpoints she uses in class - at all. Participation assignments and no EC.
Shes overall a very nice, but snarky professor. She talks ALOT and You have to attend all the labs in order to pass. Also Spelling counts for the two practicals which kinda sucks. Overall though shes okay.
Its a hard class, but she acts like she loves to teach it. A little sarcastic, pretty upbeat, explains things really well, but you HAVE to be prepared to study for this stuff to really understand. There is bonus points on all of her quizzes and on the lab practicals. I'd definitely take her again.
Take her if you can! The lab itself is hard but she makes it easy to study and understand. She goes through the information with you and makes sure you understand it. If you study it will be easy to pass. She was my favorite professor and I will be taking her for A&P 2.
This class is not easy. But Colosimo gives you the resources to pass, I had for lab and lecture and learned a lot (even with going online bc of Corona). Grade is mainly exams so it is important to attend lectures. She is nice/open to help if needed, she also posts powerpoints online for you to review and doesnt make things harder than it should be.
This professor is very reliable and easy to access outside of class. She gives so many extra resources for help and the structure of the class allows you to go at your own pace for that week. Shes very upfront about her expectations and makes a difficult class very manageable. I would recommend her 100%, not a heavy workload but study her material
Really sweet lady and helps a ton to make hard concepts understandable. Relied on her to help explain things from my lecture class. You can tell she really cares. Uses honorlock for exams. Weekly PowerPoint assignments that are long, but not incredibly hard. Quizzes are abt ten questions and all fill-in-the-blank. Midterm & final are kinda rough.
She was an ok professor she gave a ton of busy work that didn't help much at all. One thing I did like about her was that she was almost always available to meet with you, but overall she was very nit-picky even with homework assignments, and her practicals are very challenging also spelling counts!
Took Colosimo twice- in summer (lecture & lab) and fall (amatuli lecture, colosimo lab). I had to withdraw from summer bc it seemed like the content for lecture & lab was crammed. It felt better in the fall and not as stressed. She grades tough because she wants you to be specific (eg. not just pulm veins but LEFT pulm veins). Highly recommend tho!
Such a sweet woman! Makes a hard class very doable. Makes her expectations known. Plenty of opportunities to prepare you for exams, dozens of zoom meetings to review plus SI. Great communication too she’s quick to get back to you! TAKE FOR A&P2
very nice professor, wants you to succeed. lecture heavy. lots of material. 4 exams 1 final (optional & can replace lowest score) all proctored some other small grades. offers helpful weekly zoom meetings
Prepare for this class to take over every part of your life...this class has you questioning if you are in undergrad or in medical school. Most exams have 300+ powerpoint slides of very detailed information, that you are having to teach yourself; her exam averages were typically a 60-65%...over half the class dropped by the end of the semester.
Had a textbook from Anatomy I, otherwise her lectures are enough. She underlines, bolds, and colors important topics which makes studying much easier. Works with SI leaders who tailor the session to the test. Labs were specific and spelling counts but overall worth it. Same study method as API but I got a higher grade bc of EC and bold/color words.
She really does want you to suceed, but the lectures online consist of at least 4-6 videos broken up into 30-45 minute segments just for the lecture portion. The lab portion isn't as difficult. Weekly there were SI sessions if you have time to attend, I highly suggest to attend as many Zoom meetings as possible. Honorlock, only 4 tests. No EC.
lecture videos are broken up into 5/6 45 minute videos. Heavy grader. prepare to dedicate your entire life to this class.
A&P 2 is a tough subject so if you want to pass take it with this professor! She really takes time to explain tough concepts and wants you to pass. There are 4 exams and an optional final, and she clearly outlined what will be on her exams so you are not surprised on test day. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!
She rushes the ppts. She is slow at the beginning but when she realizes she is behind she will rush through the slides. She hasn't graded the majority of our assignments yet and it is final's week. She also grades the exams days before the next exam. She's nice though.
She is honestly not bad compared to other teachers. Yes, it takes her two weeks after the exam to grade but if you study and use her study guide that LITERALLY outlines the written portion (40%) of your test grade you do fine. She does rush her PPT if she's behind. She has your best interest at heart. Expect to learn not memorize the material.
Her lectures are amazing and exams are based on the powerpoint only so they're easy to study for if you put the time in. She's a slow grader because she's busy but that's my only criticism. She genuinely cares about how you do in the class and she's understanding about due dates. It's a hard class but she's a great professor.
This professor had strong favorites and was is reluctant to help others. Often gave attitude or useless feedback. She is an extremely tough grader. takes off points for misspelled words. alot of free response questions and if your answers do not 100% match what she has written she will mark you wrong. There is a lot of homework and extra credit.
Amazing lectures as while it may seem a lot at first, the PPTS provided cater to all students, as each PPT has diagrams, short summaries of the topic, or in-depth processes of anatomy. She is an amazing professor, strict yes, but of course is expected of a difficult course. DO THE GIVEN HOMEWORK! Easy points, and saved my grade.
YOU MUST STUDY! You will NOT pass her exams if you do not take the time to study. AT LEAST 2 HOURS a DAY. Her exams are EXACTLY what is on her powerpoints. Only critique I have is that she talks pretty fast.
Great prof but takes extremely long to grade test, we took an exam 4 weeks prior and still haven't gotten our grades back. But other than that good prof
Colosimo is a great A&P 2 lab professor. She was very clear what would be on exams and quizzes, was awesome answering questions, and made sure we understood topics before leaving class. She is also super approachable, would highly recommend her!
She is such a nice professor, and she is really amazing at teaching the content as well. She lectures for the whole time. Has many little assignments besides the test and extra credit that are nice free points to pad your grade. A lot of bonus questions on the exams. Only nitpick is that she grades a bit slowly. Takes about 2 weeks to grade exams.
Ms Colosimo is a very engaged, passionate professor who has everyone's best interest in mind. Her lectures are useful and she provides excellent study/success tips. There are 4 exams with an optional final. they are usually 70% multiple choice 30% short answer and matching with a couple bonus questions at the end. She did a great job this semester
Fantastic lab & lecture instructor for A&P 1. Takes a little while to grade tests. As for the actual course: STUDY. You will not succeed if you don't put in the time & effort this course demands. Prof. Colosimo makes it clear what content will be on exams and provides adequate study material for both lab & lecture. Attending S.I. also helps a lot.
