Class is mainly done on power point slides with videos to supplement the lectures. Some test questions are pulled from the textbook reading the textbook will help but not necessarily required if you have some basic knowledge of Government going into the class. The big project grade was an easy A and she gives out extra credit for showing up.
The online poly sci class is the easiest thing in the world. I finished the class in a week but you could totally finish it in a day. You should do it all at the beginning of the semester though. If you don't get an A in this class you are a total idiot. There's no midterm or final but there's one short paper. No quizlet answers though
This class is a joke. It can literally be finished in a day. If tech did all their courses like this you'd have a degree in a month. You have to pay to take the class, then pay again to access it with a code, that usually costs around $125-150. The professors are idiots, but they're online professors so thats expected. Easy A.
Tests are difficult and she doesn't provide reviews. Lectures are dense, she can get off topic and very jumpy; difficult to follow. Would not recommend if you aren't going to law school.
This is literally the easiest class you probably will take in college. It's all quizzes, and if you wanted to you could just open a new tab and have the reading section available while you're taking them. Unless you're super passionate about political science, don't take the on-campus class. You'll just be wasting an opportunity for an easy A.
This was a great easy class to take. its online so you can get ahead on work and I completed all of it about 2 months early so I had class knocked out which was nice. Take this class you won't regret it.
Easiest class at tech. The schedule is clear and laid out and even lets you work ahead. You could finish it all in a weekend if you really wanted to
Extremely easy class where you can work ahead as far as you want.
Easiest class I've ever done. Literally finished the whole class in 2 weeks.
Easiest class I've taken. Everything is multiple choice except for two short answer assignments which were a piece of cake. Everything's open for the entire semester, so you could get the class done within a week if you wanted. Don't take government in person, take it online. By far the easiest class you'll have to get out of the way.
Took POLS 1301 online. Everything is laid out for you from day one so you can complete it at your own pace which is great news for working professionals continuing their education. There are a lot of lectures but the content is easy to understand. Easy A.
Easiest class ever. Everything can be finished in a day if you tried. You just read the content for each unit and take quizzes and write a short answer. You will get an A for sure.
My father died mid-semester and I decided to take a brief leave of absence. When I contacted her about The leave of absence I was taking, she simply replied "note late work policy". My situation was deemed not extreme enough to miss these minuscule assignments. She was extremely unhelpful and morbid. 0/10 and should be reprimanded for her actions
The easiest class I've ever taken. I learned a lot and there were no exams. 10/10 recommend.
This class was the easiest I have ever taken in my college career. Most of the quizzes you can find a quizlet with some of the questions on it. Easy A for minimal effort. There is one unit where you have to do a short answer response but other than that, it's easy quizzes. Just make sure you do everything in advance so you don't have to worry.
Much like POLS 1301, an easy A with almost no effort. One of the easiest courses you'll ever take. All of the quizzes are on quizlet, so you don't even have to do any of the reading or watch any of the videos to ace them. The "hardest" thing you have to do is a short answer assignment where you only have to write like 500 words about from a prompt.
Not nice...... Should try to be nicer. She doesn't really listen to excuses since she explains early on that every quiz is up online so no one has an excuse for anything... no excuse for late submission, for misunderstanding, for extraneous circumstances, for having a thicc course load, for dying of Corona......
This online class was super easy and there were plenty of resources to learn from. You can complete the assignments at your own pace and they are all pretty easy, most of the answers are on quizlet. No exams and very clear guidelines for what is expected. Easy A if you just spend some time to do complete all the assignments.
This class is so easy and such a blow off but she is so mean. She is so impersonal and is literally so rude. I tried to email her and ask a question and she did nothing to help and completely blew me off while also being extremely inconsiderate.
Very tough grader, not very considerate of outside issues, extremely picky about grammar and small details. Overall, would not take this prof again, but it was somewhat an easy A. (online cuz of rona)
I took the class online and it was a piece of cake. Dont really know much about the professor but like i said, easy A
This whole course is online which I really enjoyed. It is centered around powerpoint slides and videos. Each unit has the same amount of assignments that are all easy. EASY A
Fully online, professor replies quickly, no final
Very uncaring, lacks any empathy, and lacks any consideration for her students. Has made no accommodations to the pandemic. The course structure is unthoughtful, disorganized, and I definitely regret taking pols with her. Everything is thrown into a big mess on blackboard.
Doesnt care about her students and is extremely rude and unhelpful.
Rude, Terrible Lectures, Unresponsive, bad feedback
Has not shown any ability to teach during the semester. Everything is done on blackboard and she tries to minimize communication as much as possible. Feels like I wasted my time and money. Shes also very rude.
This class was pretty easy. You just have to watch the lectures and supporting videos and answer the questions that go with that. There is no final but there is a short answer assignment halfway through the course. There is a unit with a set of assignments due every week. The entire course is open at the beginning of the semester.
Political Science 1301 is an incredibly easy but informative course. The class was fully online and a work at your own pace style, but the professor was quick to respond to emails if any issues arose. This class is an easy A+ as long as you complete the assignments on time, as late work is not accepted whatsoever.
Such a simple and easy class. Just do your assignments on time and you are sure to pass.
shes rude, unhelpful and doesnt seem very knowledgeable in her field either
Easy class, be sure to read the textbook and take advantage of the extra credit.
Seems impossible to make this course miserable but somehow she has managed to do so, take it with a different professor.
Take this class and stay on top of weekly assignments. You will get an A if you complete the assignments!
Easiest class EVER! I finished all of my work for the ENTIRE semester in one day. If you just do all of you work, you will make an A. I cannot stress how much of a blow off class this was! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!
This is literally the easiest class at TTU. The online class is self paced, I finished it in a week. Easy A! If you don't get an A in this class..........................
She is rude, not accessible, and very tough grader. Her lectures were very boring and monotone. Some questions on quizzes were not based on readings or lectures. Got an 89 in the class and did not round up just 1 point. I graduated at the top of my class in HS and had a perfect 4.0 GPA in college until her. Please help yourself & do not take her.
This is one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. No mandatory lectures, no midterm, no final, self-paced! There's also some Quizlets for this class. Didn't even have to email the professor even once. A true example of a blow-off class. You have to buy a textbook to take the class online, but you won't need it.
Easiest class I have ever taken. One unit due each week, self paced and very simple. Most of the answers are on the internet for the quizzes as well. Easy class to earn credit for.
By far the easiest class I have ever taken. I ended up taking her for both 1301 and 2306. The class is self paced, there is no midterm or final, so if you really want to you can finish the whole class in the first week of school.
Hands down the easiest class I've ever taken. You can complete the entire course in a day if you have the time; I finished in about a week. I will say, she does NOT accept late work and will NOT extend deadlines. I would encourage you to sit down one day and get most if not all the coursework done and rid yourself of a class!
Someone without a brain can do well in this class. The assignments are due every Tuesday, and the answers are all on quizlet or on google. She gives you reminders the day before assignments are due so you never miss one. Easiest A by far.
Easy class, you could finish it in a week. She suggests you work a week ahead because no late work is accepted. She drops 3 assignments so if you do the work on time you should get a good grade.
Probably one of the easiest classes ever. All quizzes are on quizlet and you really do not have to do much.
VERY easy class. We had like one assignment due a week and they were not hard at all. There was not much room for extra credit but we did not even have any exams at all. I enjoyed this class a lot.
The class was so easy, literally never watched any of the lectures or emailed her once.
This class is super easy. Assignments are due each week, but take at most 35 minutes to finish. The only thing is that late work is not accepted AT ALL which is reasonable because you know when things are due because there is a schedule. Very easy class though!
She's clear on what she expects. If you forget about deadlines, she emails you at noon the day it's due. If you want to do all the work at the beginning of the semester, you can. Not difficult at all, but doesn't accept late work, so work ahead. two 1-2 page papers are required, but that's it. If you want an easy class, take hers (tx pols online)
Super easy. Definitely take her online history class. She does email a lot but she is very clear about work and due dates (no late work accepted). And the answers for the whole class are on quizlet.
easy A, the due dates are clear and there's about 4 assignments a week. Do them on time since she doesn't accept any late work at all, just get ahead in the beginning. No midterm, no final, and she drops your 3 lowest grades at the end of semester
I took this course online so it was very easy. No lecture she just sent out reminders when quizzes and assignments were due. All test and quiz answers are on Quizlet. There is no exception for technical issues. The online textbook was very complicated to purchase and set up. You also HAVE to get the textbook.
Dr. Norman recorded really great lectures and the quizzes were simple. No trick questions and very few written assignments. I would take her again!
I really liked her online POLS class and will be taking her again for POLS 2306. It was a very easy class, she doesn't take any late work, so just make sure you never miss a deadline. easy A
Class was very easy. Did not have much interaction with the professor since the class was online asynchronous. If you watch the lectures you will pass. Didn't even take notes and made an A.
Class is incredibly easy. She reminds everyone on upcoming due dates for the quizzes. Don't bother watching the lecture videos or taking notes. All quizzes are on quizlet.
Caveat: Dr. Norman uploads all the hw at the beginning of the semester. I completed 4/5 before spring break and the rest the week after spring break. At a month and a half before the end, I have a 95% with two assignments incomplete. I probably won't do them bc of my apathy. So many of the answers r on google. This is an EZ A if u have 0 late work.
I took the class online and it was the easiest thing. The assignments are very well laid out and she makes it very clear when everything is due. Super easy class.
You watch the lectures & do the quizzes at home, then one day a week meet for discussion. There were 27 lectures/quizzes. Her quizzes were very straightforward, mostly from quilt. When people in class asked questions, she often didn't know. Its an easy A, but one of those classes where you don't get much out of it unless you want to go into law.
super easy class, at your own pace and there's about 4 assignments a week, you can do every weeks assignments at the beginning of the semester and not worry about it for the rest of the year. uses connect so all the information is right there and can email her anytime with questions, and no exams and 2 free response "papers" that is 500 words total
Easiest class ever. About 4 assignments a week, and 2 essays throughout the year, everything is on google
This class was really easy. We don't hear much from the professor since there are no lectures. But the weekly assignments are easy, just make sure to stay on top of them. She doesn't accept any ate work or extra credit. But just do the weekly assignments and you will get an A in the class.
You won't interact much with the professor for the online version of this course, but it is legitimately one of the easiest courses that I have ever taken. As long as you even kind of stay on top of your work, you'll do well.
I really enjoyed Professor Norman. I loved that she posted all the work ahead of time so that students could go at their own pace. She also responds very quickly and is super helpful!
Honestly it was a really easy class! Honestly just be on top of your work and due dates and you will be completely fine.
Literally one of the easiest courses I've taken, and it was all asynchronous and online. You won't really interact with the professor that much because everything is very straightforward and simple to understand.
Dr. Norman is a fantastic moot court coach and she is very encouraging and kind throughout the whole process. Just putting in the effort and doing your best is good enough to receive an A.
This course is pretty easy but I do think it's unfair with the late work policy in addition to not giving extra credit. In addition I think the essay grading was extremely tough. content for this class was very out of date as well. In summary this class wasn't the worst but I would suggest just taking the CLEP exam get it over with.
Lots of work for each chapter and multiple lecture videos/readings as well. Very easy to get a high grade in this class because it is online but she grades extremely hard on essays. She took 20 points off of my SAQ score for going a few words over the suggested word count.
highly rec taking it online, it was an easy class and I got done with the entire course in a month
Honesty the class was easy all the work was posted right away so it was easy to get ahead.
this class is very easy. lots of assignments but you could sit down and do the entire class in a day if you wanted. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS
Class is extremely easy for the professor, hard for students. 0 engagement, you literally have 5 question quizzes with 10 minutes each, over a plethora of reading and uploaded lectures. Final exam is HALF the grade. She grades HARSH on "papers." "Papers" are about 1-2 pages tops; you really have no room to grow in the class. Easy for her to grade!
Class was not hard as long as you read and listened to the lectures which has most of the answers. There were quizzes every week with a short answer and multiple choice final at the end but had plenty of time to work on everything. Only downfall is you cannot backtrack on quizzes and the test so be confident in your answer.
I loved Ms.Norman! Even though it was an online class every was easy and very straightforward. You could finish the class in a week if you wanted to because you have all the assignments on hand the first day of class. There's two essay assignments with two prompts for each, it was fairly easy and no finals with this class!
I have taken Dr. Norman in two different classes and I have enjoyed it so far. The class content is not difficult and it's very easy to make an A or B. Most of the assignments are multiple choice except for two short answer assignments which are graded a bit hard. I would take her class again though.
Easy class, assignments due every week but you can also do them in advance. I was able to finish the course a month early
Class is Easy, assignments due every week. Overall the class is easy and an easy A, you can finish the class in advance and the assignments are uploaded the first week of class. Only one essay throughout the class.
Professor hates her job, life and working with students. Class is easy but she does not engage at all and is extremely easy to get ahold of. Not understanding or willing to work with the student.
I took this class online, and I really enjoyed it. This professor opens up all assignments at the beginning of the semester, so I did them all during the free trial of the homework platform and didn't have to worry about it the rest of the year. Everything is very straightforward, and she is always available for any questions.
Super easy class and there are no tests!
I've taken plenty of online classes, and this one stood out because Professor Norman did everything she could to not pay attention to the class. This was an easy class, but I prefer to have a professor who teaches instead of sticking a pre-recorded lecture (not even from her) in front of the students. Obviously copied and pasted feedback on papers.
this class is so easy. I finished it within the first week of the semester and just used the free trial of the textbook so I didn't have to buy it. she opens up all the assignments at the beginning of the semester, so you can work on assignments whenever you have time. no finals or tests so it made finals week a little less stressful.
Quizzes were very easy. No test, just two short assignments that weren't too difficult. Easy course to complete in a short amount of time because everything is posted all at once.
I'll be back with a comment.
If you have to take POLS take the online class!! Super easy work, and light reading!
doesn't engage with her students at all, since it's online i can understand but the lectures she posts arent even her, is she even considered a professor? quizzes for every unit & 2 open ended assignments, which she doesn't even grade herself. whoever she has grading them are awful graders. gave me a 40 on an assignment bc i had no sources, i did..
Quizzes and a short writing assignment are due every week, with one written paper during the middle of the semester. Very easy class if you stay on top of your work.
If you're considering taking this class, do it online. Everything was opened day 1 and you can finish it super quick. If you do 2-3 chapters a week, you can finish the course and not have to worry about it anymore. The teacher doesn't really interact with the students and all of the lectures are someone else. Overall, its super easy.
She puts no effort into this class, and when you need help with anything, like extra credit or just need a way to get your grade up, she not understanding at all. I just prefer to take classes where the professor is just as involved as you have to be. Easy class, but don't expect her to help you out with your grade at all.
The only interaction I had with this professor is when she sent out emails saying that her office hours were either open, cancelled, or moved. Everything was open as soon as the course was open, you could finish it in a few days if you wanted to. Homework was super easy as long as you paid attention to what you read and watched.
I finished this course in two days without ever interacting with Dr. Norman or the TA Grader. With that said, she has definitely made this class as easy as it can be. Don't stress about taking this class if you are doing it online.
The class is fairly easy if you are good at organizing work. She is an awful grader and will not budge on your grades for anything. She's not the one who teaches anything but has many rules. Navigating her syllabus is very confusing and disorganized. This summer we weren't able to get the free one week trial anymore.
Has no empathy and does not care about your grades. Takes forever to respond to emails and is not helpful at all. No extra credits were offered throughout the course
Extremely disliked this professor, so so hard to work with and not gracious at all. Always assumes you are being argumentative. Takes the least effort in grading as possible.
Just an awful professor. Does no work and does not help you at all. Very disorganized and will not budge on your grade even if it's her fault. Definitely does not like her job.
Did not teach or do a single thing for the class. Extremely unfair and strict on grading. Gave me a zero on an assignment I worked days on because I submitted it in the wrong format even though I submitted it on time and have gotten an A on every other assignment. Really has no empathy.
Even though it's online, it feels like you're literally talking to the wall. No opportunity to makeup scores on quizzes due every week.
10/10!! This class was great for me because I work full time, and I am a single parent. I finished entire class in a month. 2 writing assignments the entire semester then light reading w/ a quiz each chapter. No tests. All work is available 1st day. Be sure you put effort into writing assignments. She is a tough grader on those.
Rude and uncooperative. She doesn't answer her emails for days. Claims that technical difficulties are not an excuse for work being turned in a few minutes late.
This online class is a breeze. All assignments are open from the start, so you can work at your own pace. The quizzes and writing are easy, and unstuck study is a great study tool. Minimal professor interaction, but a solid A if you stay on top of it.
POLS1301 is very easy, and the class work itself is very simple, their is just a fair bit of it. All the class requires is a little bit of your time and attention. The policies that surround the class itself are a little odd, but it isn't a big deal due to how easy the class is, just turn in everything on time, and you'll be fine.
Chillest online class, about 3 quizzes a week that take like 25 min to complete (everything is on Quizlet). Only 10 weeks long. 2 short answer writing assignments that were so light. No late work, but you can go at your own pace and finish everything as fast as you want!
Listen, if you want an easy A, take this class and make Mike Wazowski happy.
Just take if online so you don't have to interact with this creature. Just another pretentious political science grad. Get your online grade and go next.
Do it all in a weekend like everyone recommends. ALL the quizzes are on Quizlet. Write the two short answer assignments on your own and don't try and AI it though--it goes through a very harsh plagarism checker. They aren't difficult so take the hour and write them on your own. Easy A, whole class probably took me less than 5 hours to complete.
Piece of cake. I'm already more than halfway finished: completing a whole unit one day, taking a break the next, onto the next unit, and so on. The two papers seem tedious but they take up the smallest amount of your overall grade. Prof. Norman doesn't do anything herself except talk about the syllabus on the first day.
Dr. Norman was not present at all. If you need help on something, persistently email and she will get back with some comment. Recommend going to office hours in week 1, as she will likely be there then. No extra credit. No backtracking questions on quizzes or exams. Stressful but if you are like me and love crime/law you will do well. Good luck!
Very easy and straightforward course. Work ahead and you will do great. However, don't expect any help from Sara Norman; limited office hours, very late email responses, rude and doesn't do the bare minimum as a "professor"
The class is super easy but the professor is a little rude. I had some technical issues at the beginning of the year and her email replies to me were a little aggressive and not helpful. I ended up having to email McGraw Hill because there was nothing being done about the issue I was having. Once the issue was fixed, the class was extremely easy.
It's an online class just write one essay yourself and you will pass.
A super easy class that I completed in full before the middle of the semester. There are 12 chapters with 3-4 assignments for each chapter, with the only other assignment being a 2-3 page paper. Easy to complete all of the assignments in advance.
The class was alright. The class consisted of a bunch of quizzes and 2 papers. The papers are a little tedious, but all of the class material is available on the first day of class - so you can knock every assignment out whenever you want to.
