This is a learning community class. The teacher is awesome and very enthusiastic about the subjects. Plus you get a credit for Biology and Chemistry. If you need these two classes you should definately take this class!

This class is a definte challenge. This is just alot of material to cover in 1 semester. I loved Dr. Sarah though and think she is a great teacher. CHEM and BIOL not taught together is much more difficult.

Dr. Sarah is a great teacher. She loves science and has worked hard to get where she is. She has taught a RLC for almost 20 years. Not an easy class, she wants you to learn the material, but she will help you if you need extra help and gives great resources. I would take her again. I took the combined chem/biol class and it was tough but fun.

Her lab was really easy, just study during the weekends abt the lectures in class (nothin more)cuz she gives pop quizes wen u come bac or wen udnt xpect em but ull eventually get a pattern of herquizes. If ur a last minute studyin person like im then dnt take her but if ur willing to study after lectures then take her.Her lectures were interesting.

She's a great teacher in explaining and understanding! However, maybe it was b/c it was a summer class, it was so hard with so much material to study! I felt so overwhelmed! Didn't make it through that class! Sorry!

this is a bio/chem combination class...for those who need help in chemistry, but are good with biology. i don't recommend taking this class if your math skills are terribly lacking or if you're a skipper. this is an intense class, and she will readily help you out, but this is not a blow-off class. you have to WORK.

This is a great teacher, she made me love chemistry and biology when no others could. she knows what she's talking about, and actually break it down to you the simpliest way possible. But, you still have to work a little to do good on the exams.

Great teacher, but not easy. I took her in Summer 1, and she used every minute of class time lecturing. Take good notes and study them for the tests; almost everything on the tests is from the lectures. Would recommend if you want/need to actually learn Biology.

This has been, by far, the best class I have ever taken. Dr. Sara is a rare gem - one of the best professors at Richland. She is just so passionate about teaching and knows her material in and out; I definitely learned a lot from her. She is such a sweet-heart, too! Definitely take her if you get the chance!!! =)

I had her for Biology 1406 and Chem 1405. She is very caring and outgoing when it comes to helping you and working with you when need the extra help. Offers extra credit and it was a pleasure to be in her class. I wish she taught Chem 1411 I would take her in that class too.

I took her in a learning community class for Chem and Biology. She is fun and cares. Easily the best teacher I have ever had. Even gave me a book called "The molecules of emotion" to encourage me in what I'm interested in. I still stop by her office to say hi and chat, she is my fav!

If you actually want to major in science i definitely suggest you take her she explains everything step by step and she even has Sunday reviews for tests!It's very helpful if you attend every lecture. This isn't a class for slackers you actually have to study! You get the grade you deserve. Overall she is a such a great professor! I made an A:)

Professor Sara is a great professor. Of course the course wasn't EASY, but the fact that she was so enthusiastic and well informed on the subject made it a lot easier to learn. Her tests are quite difficult but if you listen in class and go the extra mile to take notes and study, you will do fine. She make the class fun, I recommend her! :)

One of the best professors I've taken at Richland. You can tell she loves what she's talking about. The class was pretty difficult but she made it fun.

Dr. Sara is a great teacher. The class was very hard for me. She does care that you pass her class. I'm not saying she will float you. You must come to class and lab on time and must do all the online work, quizzes and a scientific paper. Biology is not my strong suite, but she did make sure you had plenty of study material.

Dr. Sara overall is a very nice professor but her test do not match her lectures at all she likes to use things that she never lectured on. She encourages no text book but important things are left out so the book is needed! Dr. Perez-Ramos is one of the best teachers, I've ever had, BUT this class was one of the hardest. She's so passionate about the subject that it makes it really fun to go to class each time and learn. However, the tests are still DIFFICULT. You actually have to really study to pass this class. But as long as you do all the assignments you'll pass.

Dr. Ramos's class was tough, but it was worth it and in the end it was awesome to know I passed with an A. It is not an easy class. There's lots of memorizing to do and there are some tough projects to present. Half the class dropped before the semester ended but it was worth sticking around. Really interesting class plus I can say I survived it(:

Took her class this spring and I would definitely recommend her class, the clarity in her lectures is amazing but the tests are not easy! Do not expect definitions from her tests because she will be testing you more on your understanding of the material than what you can remember

this professor is very good at lecturing and keeping students interested. She expects a lot of student but is lenient if your are respectful and working hard. If you read the book you will get a better understanding of the material although she provides powerpoints, reviews, etc

I LOVE HER! Very fun and interactive with students. Passionate about what she does. Tests aren't easy but they aren't impossible either. Pay attention in class, take notes, ask questions, make study groups and you should be fine and even excel! She inspired my newfound love for science especially chemo (also a great chemo professor!)

Dr. Ramos is an amazing teacher who presents great class lectures. She teaches to help you understand and lectures based off her knowledge, not the book. Tests are based off her lectures and are simple. Biology is still a difficult matter, so you will need to study no matter what. Makes you want to show up to class and made me love Biology.

She wants you to pass and be successful BUT she is strict, if you miss lectures or lab, you will be missing out on points. Tests are long and pretty moderate, lab quiz EVERY week, even on test weeks. She is good at lectures for the most part but sometimes Youtube vids can explain the material better. Overall, she is good but would not take again.

Dr. Perez- Ramos is truly a great teacher. I love her funny remarks; it's always good to lighten up a class where it isn't just serious work all the time. I am taking her for a summer class and you definitely have to make sure to study a lot and pay attention. Taking notes on the lecture is a must since she tells you ideas not on the powerpoints.

Professor Perez-Ramos was amazing at helping me understand many of the tougher concepts. She gave great advice on how to make your lab report better and explained the labs very well at the beginning of the class. Would recomend her to everyone.

I really liked her teaching style and she is really nice. However her tests were kinda tough and long . test reviews are done together in groups on the lecture before tests but don't expect to pass the tests by just studying the review. Make sure you learn everything on PowerPoint slides too or you will struggle.

In general she is really nice professor, her exams are not easy. Be sure to understand more than just memorizing. If you are a hardworking student take her. Pop quizzes are taken in consider, she also give us reviews before exams which is somehow helpful

Our class was moved online due to COVID and she did an audio for our PowerPoint with really helped. She emails back super fast and she made me fall in love with biology. There are labs that are semi hard but so worth it!
